Description

The new version will introduce the very essence of Dior Homme, in an unusual concentration which leaves an urban and intense impression. The nobility of its ingredients is expressed by the uniqueness of the skin.

DIOR HOMME PARFUM contains three key notes of the composition printed on its bottle: Iris from Tuscany, sandalwood from Sri Lanka and dark and masculine leather accord. The fragrance is available in a distinctive glass bottle of 75 ml at a price of 102.50 Euros. The outer packaging is black with discreet detailing in gold color. Dior Homme Parfum was launched in 2014. The nose behind this fragrance is Francois Demachy.

The deepest darkest version of Dior homme. Not much like dior homme so dont expect something too similar.
    Performs like a monster.
Id gladly buy anyones bottle that wants to get rid of if!!

DHP could hardly be considered a descendant of the original Homme if it didn’t contain that distinctive iris note. Yet it’s not the same buttery, sweet, verging-on-gourmand iris on which DH and DHI were founded. The iris here is much darker, and possesses a certain sensuality that one wouldn’t associate with DHP’s predecessors. It has an almost-waxy character which it maintains throughout the life of the scent, never turning powdery even in the latter stages of the dry-down.
The iris’ “lipsticky” qualities are also offset by rich, intense leather accord. This isn’t the soft, silky and somewhat subtle leather that sits among the cluster of notes in the background of Dior Homme. Leather is the loudest voice in DHP, overshadowing even the iris which is so used to dominating this line of scents.
Oud also appears in the note listing. I can’t say with any real authority that it’s actually present, but there’s certainly something in the mix which gives the leather a raw, somewhat animalistic quality. It’s not the smell of a pristine, polished leather shoe, but something closer to freshly-tanned hide. It’s unashamedly bold and decadently rich.
There’s a touch of smooth woodiness in the dry-down, but this one is really all about that exquisite leather-iris combo. For a scent built on just a couple of key notes, it has remarkable structural depth. So masterful is the blend that at times it is difficult to tell where iris ends and leather begins.
…DHP is the scent of today’s gentleman: distinguished yet daring, and unconstrained by traditional notions of masculinity.
It is for all intents and purposes a “statement maker”, insofar as it will announce you before you even have the chance to announce yourself. And the accouncement will read: Before you is a man who is equal parts elegant, opulent, bold, and a little mysterious. And even if you are none of those things, DHP will make you feel every bit as though you are.

From my wife’s mouth “baby powder”
I concour. As it develops it’s getting closer and I mean ever so slightly closer to the original Dior Homme. This is a huge disappointment for me as I was hoping to get the high praised leather note. I do not get that at all. This FOR ME is the worst one out of the Dior Homme line.

I love this one, my partner hates it. I had a bottle to sniff every now and again and try once in a while to see it wifey would change her mind but no.
Sadly ended up selling. I have a feeling this is one more
    Loved by men than woman.

Wow, just wow. I smelled the original Dior homme once and it didn’t strike me as anything exciting. I discovered this one after it has been discontinued and got a bottle. I will sparingly enjoy this one, each and every use!

First off; a disclaimer: I don’t own this perfume, I have only tried a spray on the wrist. Normally I wouldn’t consider that enough to do a review, but seeing as DHP is apparently rather hard to come by in stores, and I have been fortunate enough to find it and test it out, I’m gonna do one where I focus on trying to describe the scent itself (I can’t speak to sillage and longevity properly) as a service to people who are considering blind buying this.
Let’s start with the leather note, as that is supposed to be the most prominent. Some people are saying that it has been toned down in the latest reformulation and I would believe that (I’ve tested it 10.9.2018).
Being from the same designer, one might think that the leather note in DHP would be akin to the one in Dior Fahrenheit. To my nose that is definitely NOT the case.
Where Fahrenheit’s leather note is somewhere between the smell of a leather shop or a pair of new leather boots and an old black biker jacket the leather note in DHP is more like the smell of a pair of a worn in pair of high end leather gloves or an old sleek italian leather jacket.
If I where to compare it to any leather type note I have encountered in a different fragrance, I would say it was like a more restrained version of the castorium in Chanel Antaeus.
Actually, I think DHP is somewhat reminiscent of Antaeus in the drydown, only less punchy and more versatile/wearable, and with the addition of oud.
If one was to try and approximate this ahead of a blind buy, I would think their best bet would be to do the following:
Spray Antaeus, give it a couple of hours to calm down. Then layer Tom Ford Oud Wood on top of that. After the initial punch of the Tom Ford mellows out after an hour or two, I would think one would have a fair approximation of the drydown of DHP.
Hopefully this can help someone out there, as this isn’t necessarily a safe blind buy.

Dries down to a leathery Iris

  8. :

it would really be a shame if Dior discontinued this. That strong leather iris combo is one of the best note blends I have ever smelled. I love how this starts with the waxy iris but doesn’t dry down to the sweeter, chocolate notes like we get in Dior Homme and DHI. This one takes a more woody and leathery route which keeps the fragrance unique and makes it stand apart from its predecessors.
While this leans formal, I will reach for it in casual night out scenarios and even on cold days. can’t see myself wearing this in the office, but you could pull it off it you are easy on the trigger.
Projection is amazing for the first 2 hours, and longevity is simply the best in my collection. There’s are rumors of reformulation, but my 2018 batch smells identical to my older batch (2015 or 2016) and the longevity is just as good. I can spray the 2018 on at 5 pm and easily still smell it the next day. 15+ hours.

Even though i stopped buying desighner frags i thought i give dior homme a try… Its a nice public safe fragrance.. I dont think of anyone smelling this and disliking it. Starts With the famous iris note, lipstic and pencil shavings smell. After a while powdery Woods emerge but the addictive part is the dry Down… Ambery sweetness and smokey/insence-y oud.. Desighner or not i think every man should have it

My bottle is 5U01 from July 2015
I gave this beast my best shot but I cannot wear it.
Too much Leather for several hours. Cloying, heavy, wet, dank leather. Eventually dries down to a rich iris/leather/lipstick scent which is just not for me.
For nothing but dark, wet, rainy gloomy weather.
I recommend to put it on a good 6-12 hours before you are going anywhere.
Try it before you buy it!

    What a masterpiece this is.
Take DH. Turn down the volume of all the florals and cocoa. Amp up the iris, but make it bitter. Add a truckload of black leather and a hint of oud, and there you have DHP.
It’s such a dark and mysterious take on DH. It fits perfectly into the line, yet also differs greatly.
The iris is waxy and almost bitter, the leather is dark and raw, the oud is sweet yet spicy like in M7. But just as this darkness gets too much, there comes hints of DH to remind you that this is still the good old floral iris leather scent you love, just in a old school masculine way. If DH is Jude Law then DHP is Gregory Peck. Dark, brooding and scowling.
There is one massive con to this. Anyone who likes DH will at least respect DHI and vice versa. Not so with DHP. It has more in common with Tuscan Leather or even some Amouages, than it does to the DH line.
Try this before buying. It’s fantastic, but very polarizing.
In short, a fantastic masterpiece and the ideal conclusion of the Dior Homme line.
Longevity is fantastic – 14 hours or more, with great projection.

I have to make my first “review” of a fragrance right now. I have used Fragrantica for years as a great place to backup my thoughts about fragrances but never made a review about anything. Now I have to give my own thought!
    So Dior Homme Parfum.
It has a lot in common with DHI, that I owned some years ago (loved it, I remember DHI to be sweeter though), but I never felt this way?! I went to a local store today and sprayed it to my hand, first thoughts were, that it is very leathery and warm frag. and after 4 hours I have a feeling when I smell my hand that I almost want to eat it? 😀 Cannot be normal but that is the feeling I have when I sniff it! 😀 It is just soooo good!!
The rich musky leather/woody/spicy vibe that has been there over 4-5 hours now and it is just perfect! I remember DHI had more vanilla in it maybe but this has the “I want to eat my hand” thing.. don’t know. Both are superb. but this seems to last very long in my skin and only gets better as it drys down. DHP is best suitable in evening time I think, because of the dark, smooth, spicy/powdery, leathery charisma it has!
    I rate it 10/10 for a fall/winter evening scent.

It is still available at most outlets, Debenhams, John Lewis, Notino, Selfridges, even Boots. Doesn’t look like it has been discontinued, why would Dior do so after four years of success?

  14. :

    5 out of 5

Then lo and behold, this is nowhere to be found. been discontinued in Dior French Website. One of the most amazing Perfume legends of the recent history. I cannot even imagine this been discontinued, I hope it is only temporary and they will bring it back.

  15. :

    4 out of 5

Finally I got around to trying this and wow this is not for me!
It smells of an old musky leather & fur (ie rotting skin) handbag with remnants of vintage make-up and dust. I’m puzzled as to why any man (in particular) would want to smell like this but that’s the beauty of fragrance and individual tastes I suppose, we’re all different.

This review is based on a comparison between DH and, of course, DHP.
I tried DH and DHI awhile back and absolutely hated it. I couldn’t imagine why people would wear such an odd fragrance. The iris turned me off so quick.
Well now as my senses are changing and starting to mature, I figured I would give them another try. So I found bottles of DH, DHP, and DHI all at amazing prices.
As I am still waiting on DHI, I have tested DH and DHP side by side multiple times.
DH is a lightweight compared to this. Its much lighter, airy, and more soft-spicy. The floral aspect is incredible.
DHP, has a crazy, thick, heavy leather added in. This adds a whole new level of BOLD.
That is the biggest difference to me. The dry downs are incredibly different. DH tends to fade to a slight floral, faint smell. DHP remains a heavyweight, bad boy with an absolute mad boldness.
I would absolutely agree with the review below mine…These frags have allowed me to respect iris. I still dont know if I love it, but its so addicting and flows so freely in these frags.
Dior Homme is much easier to wear more often. DHP seems like a special occasion frag. I was shocked to see how dark the juice is….There is a noticeable color stain on the paper card that I sprayed! The bottle and color is gorgeous.

  17. :

    4 out of 5

DH made me appreciate the note of iris. Masterpiece.
DHI made me fall in love with the note of iris. Masterpiece.
DHP made my balls grow much much larger.
DHP has alerting potency, it is extremely powerful and should be applied with extreme caution, never going more than 2-3 sprays and never spraying directly on clothes as it will stain and last on them for weeks.
On my skin, longevity is days with this monster, 2 sprays, FF 40 hours after application, including three showers and some intense scrubbing – DHP is still there, smelling stronger than the average EDT frag. Scary.
This is how it’s done correctly, a true PARFUM concentration not yet ruined with reformulation BS, this one deserves respect as it is so powerful and intense yet so pleasant and alluring.
Thank You Dior for adding masterpiece #3 to the DH line.

My favourite of all time…. classy, complete and colossal. Lasts forever and my Mrs loves it. Could say so much more but there is no need it’s that good.

  19. :

Quite photorealistic leather. It isn’t the sweet borderline-gourmand “gingerbread” leather type fragrance, where the leather is just an abstract note, but it has still just enough sweetness to make a pleasant and cultivated impression. It has a calming and grounding effect, definitely first and foremost a winter fragrance. It’s snowing outside and you’re in a cabin, sipping some whiskey in front of a fireplace.

This is probably the most long lasting perfume i ever owned. I wear a thin rope necklace under my clothes & I applied a spray of Dior Homme to my body so the necklace got a little. It’s the 4th day today & the scent is still very strong on the necklace. Mind blowing! This is the most perfect fragrance ever created. Outstanding smell, longevity is beyond expectation, and reasonably priced. The best thing?—it’s not available in any perfume store in my city. So you will not smell it anywhere. I got it online. I blind bought it. No regrets.
If this was made by a niche brand, it will surely cost 5x the current price. Thank God it’s for a fashion house.

    Insane!!!
    It’s a beast in performance
    Much prefer this over intense.
Only need minimal sprays, so the bottle will last for ever…. Well you know what I mean.
I use this as a winter day work scent. It cuts thru the cold easily.
Doesn’t smell cheap. You get noticed. Not everyone wears it.
For a parfum, this is the way to do it. Beastly. Unlike Chanel latest attempt at Bleu with very weak performance.

As a collector and owner of hundreds of fragrances throughout the years, this is the only fragrance which I have a backup bottle of. My winter favorite and an absolute masterpiece.

I owned the 2014 version, and I now have the 2016 version (according to the batch code). Truth be told, there is no difference scent wise, longevity or projection between them. This is my honest take on refomulations and all that Jazz. Never tried 2017 though. On the flip side though, I’ve also noticed that DHP is not available everywhere as it was before, at least where I live. I love this EDP version and fortunately have a back-up bottle of it.

    Love at first sniff.
Such a masterpiece, i also adore the intense version, but this is … i have no words to describe it…
batch code in the end of 2016, almost 12 hours and i still can feel it, BEAST

  25. :

    5 out of 5

    How can i describe this.
    This is THE FRAGRANCE.
First of all it smells amazing ! manly, sexy and not very sweet !
Then projection is just the perfect amount it doesn’t attack people but they do notice you!
Then it’s cheap, with one or two sprays you’re good so a bottle will last you for years.
And finally longevity !!!! i sprayed my forearm one time three days ago. i washed it like 30 times and took two showers and i can still smell it and it smells good xd
This think is boss, for me 12/10.

Reformulated in 2017 due to the restrictions on some ingredients with toned down leather now because ppl did’t like the strong leathery smell. Not discontinued

  27. :

    4 out of 5

This is a review for the 2017 batch (7S01).
This is a classy masterpiece in masculinity even though the iris note is still present. It is hands-down the best of the Dior Homme line and removes the femininity of the EDP version (DHI). The smell does not have a synthetic feel to it whatsoever. The main notes detectable are iris, musk mallow, sandalwood, leather, and a touch of rose. There is no oud detectable, but I find that it works really, really well with natural oud oil. It actually reminds me a bit of vintage YSL M7.
I haven’t tried the previous batches but longevity is about 8hrs+ with this (which is very good for my skin), on clothes, it lasts until they are washed. I use about 5-6 sprays as I do with most of my frags. The projection is moderate for me and it doesn’t become cloying or overpowering no matter how much I spray (perhaps due to reformulation?). It suits me because it is more versatile and easily wearable for casual occasions if I use two or three sprays.
The atomiser is one of the best I’ve experienced, good control and does not allow you to overspray (unlike Creed).
I am contemplating on buying a backup bottle in case it gets discontinued. I actually prefer this over a lot of more expensive niche fragrances that I own, even Dior’s privee collection.
    10/10
Regarding Reformulation: Dior are upfront regarding reformulation, my 2017 bottle has N° 08642/A on the box which indicates the formula used. If yours is the same, then it is the same formula. I have seen this formula code on 2018 bottles too.
Update: The formula code is the same for the 2014 release, so the reformulation rumours are false.

Simply put, this is a masterpiece. I wasn’t a fan of the Dior Homme line (cologne excluded) until this version came around.
If you’re put off by the lipstick note that the Iris in the other Homme versions are known for, you’ll be glad to know that it’s been toned down a lot in this. The iris is still there but alongside the dense leather, it never feels feminine or lipsticky.
Longevity is simply amazing on this. I sprayed this in my office Friday afternoon on the way to an event and when I walked in Monday morning, I could still smell it lingering in the air. On skin, this lasts 12 hours easy- and I never seem to go nose blind on this one so I can catch whiffs of it throughout the night.
Bravo Dior, this is one is special.

Don Vito Corleone of all the fragrances. In my opinion this is the most imaginable person to Dior Homme Parfum. He is classy and mature, but also has some harshness inside.
Sniffing this one I can easily pick up notes one by one. Compliments that I get from this one are a bit different. For Dior Homme it something like ‘Oooooh, what is this?’ and for Dior Home Parfum – ‘Aaargh, I’ll eat you!’.
Longevity and sillage are out of this world. You don’t need to overspray it, just 1-2 sprays with this Dior mini shower atomizer.

  30. :

With this perfume you will definitely dominate,I get huge compliments.
I do not like leather, but here is fantastic, best combination of leather and iris.
The opening has a chocolate vibe, the iris is clearly felt, but much more beautiful and masculine than Dior Homme Intense.
Longevity:10/10, 24+ hours.A bottle of 75 ml will last forever in my collection.
    Projection:10/10
    Compliments:10/10
    Scent:10/10

    This scent screams sophistication.
for me the perfect fragrance for a formal event. I sprayed this last night for an event and the longevity is immortal. I got home tired af and just crashed in bed. Next morning my sheets were smelling of dior homme Parfum. So guys, if you love dressing up smart casual, formal this fragrance is for you. I seriously feel like James bond when I wear this

It is harder to track this one down now (and don’t mistake it with the Intense version). It would make a VERY special gift to any man who truly enjoys a REAL men’s fragrance. It is pretty much all you need in this bottle: RESPECT, class, sophistication, style, modern and MANLY attraction. I consider Dior Homme Parfum one of the pillars from Dior men’s for other frags to look up to.
I’m a big fan of leather note and there is something in this leather combination that triggered my sense so much to ask for more. I guess it MUST BE the bundle of oud (I’m also addicted to oud note big time), musk, and cedar wood as a great “booster” for the leather. Rose and especially IRIS in this one add class, elegance and a lightly powdery touch as an expensive cosmetic veil hovering over the whole combination. Few fresh drops of citrus brightened up the scent perfectly, enough to provide freshness, and not so much to be harsh or sharp to the nose. Dior Homme Parfum, by all means, is not at all a “sweet and spicy” kind as I usually find in many men’s fragrances these days. It is warm, woody, smokey leathery, rich, deep, full and yet, not bold, nor loud in the face. It lured me in with its charm and before I realized that, I already became its prisoner in super comfort 🙂
Dior Homme Parfum overall is a real eau de parfum with perfect sillage and great longevity (a VERY WELL DONE one actually). It is definitely a gentleman-with-great-taste fragrance. I absolutely fall for it hard, and enjoy it much better than the eau de toilette, or the Intense.

Ok. This is joy in a bottle. It has that Doloce and Gabana The One vibe to me starting out. But then the dry down happens. Yes its dark and deep. But something in it tickles my sinus and makes me laugh. It stays fresh through out. Its sweet, sugary, dark, smooth, and unlifting. I literally smile sniffing this fragrance. Is tickle an ingredient? In this perfumery journey you start grouping fragrances. In the deep, smooth, sexy group this is the clear champ. Scents like Pure Malt, Geurlian ideal Homme go deep then add cherry. And thats what it smells like; added. But this scent is blended well. It doesn’t go deep then add a high pitch ingredient. It stays deep, smooth, light, and sugary. I got to credit the choice of ingredients.

Do not believe all the exaggerated stories about batches and weak performance. I have 2014 and 2016 batches, to all honesty they are absolutely identical and performance beasts. One of the best designer release of all time, very close to niche.
One thing to note, noticed back in December that DHP becoming rare in boutiques and recently I went through 4 boutiques and non of them had DHP. Possible discontinuation or upcoming new re-release with reimagined composition.

I tested this one back in October 2014 and quickly purchased a bottle. Let me just say that Dior Homme Parfum is what Dior Hommme should have been all along; it is an excellent fragrance that is so much better than the EdT version. I still get a little of that lipstick vibe at the opening, but is is manageable, very well blended, and not out-of-control like Homme EdT. Dior Homme Parfum is the Dior Homme for Men.
Performance is quite good in that this fragrance lasts 8-10 hours, and projects above-average leaving a nice scent trail, while still being well-behaved and not getting out-of-control on my skin. Overall, just a terrific release; one of Dior’s best in its Men’s lineup IMO.

  37. :

This is in my eyes an absolute classic and another must have for any serious collector in the fragrance game.
It is genuinley that good. The formulation I have is ever present doing what it is supposed to for a good 6-8 hours. 2015 batch I believe.
    Edit…
So I’m reading horror stories of reformulation…? Im just glad I have a back up 2014 bottle 😉
Why do designers ruin their own fragrances? Why not just discontinue it instead of ripping us off with a reformulated diluted inferior quality version you money grabbing weasels.

This is a more formal and masculine version of DHI.
Compared to DHI, this has more leather and wood, less of iris.
I personally prefer DHI but I think both are worth owning.
    Excellent bottle, sprayer, and longevity.

Ae8za cheers for the info, yeah my 2017 bottle is the same formula code you mentioned. Question for anyone that is in the know, if the formula code is the same how is the smell different? 1. Will the smell strengthen over time or 2. They are using the same ingredients but of a lesser quality?

  40. :

    4 out of 5

Dior Homme Parfum is my signature scent.
I own two bottles of the 2014 batch (4T02) and a bottle from 2015 (5R01). I can confirm that both performances are beastly and equal.
Tested the 2016 and the 2017 batches before at my local Sephora and the 2017 batch seems to be the weakest of all four batches in terms of performance and longevity. Sillage was also not as beastly as the 2014 and 2015 batches and even less than the 2016 batch.
DHP was never reformulated according to the formula code which is still 08642/A for all four batches.
Currently I’m still looking for any leftover 2014 or 2015 bottles to stock up just in case this perfume ever gets discontinued.
    Update 1:
Found another three 2016 tester bottles at different locations and the performances and sillages are just not as beastly as the 2014 and 2015 batches on my skin, but still slightly better than the 2017 ones. Will stick to just finding the first two batches for my backup bottles.
    Update 2:
I was gifted a 2017 bottle by a good friend (7Y02) and only managed to open the present and did a full test almost 2 months after my birthday in September. I can now confirm that this 2017 bottle has similar smell, performance and sillage as my 2014 bottle. The bottles I tested before must’ve been sitting too long under the bright fluorescent lighting and this greatly reduced the performance. I’m now happy to stock up on all 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 bottles whenever I can find them (if I can find them)
    Update 3:
One of my local online sellers gotten hold of 3 bottles of the 2017 batch (7Q01& 7Z01). Bought all to stock up at an incredible price of $60 each. Tested all on skin and they’re all similar as my 7Y02 bottle. Couldn’t be happier as I have stock up enough juice use for my lifetime hopefully.
    Update 4:
Tested the 2018 batch (8C02) today and got the same performances, smell and sillage as my ones. Awesome Dior for not reformulating this gem!

I agree with humean below.. I have a 2017 batch too and find 3-5 sprays about perfect. Can someone with older bottles from 2014-15-16 post the formulation code from their boxes so we can see if/when it was reformulated? As I know for the Fahrenheit Parfum many are saying it’s been reformulated however the formula code hasn’t changed since the first one. I wonder if people read comments of ‘beast mode one spray fills a room and lasts and projects for days’ take it literally and claim reform when theirs doesn’t do that. I personally wouldn’t want a fragrance that was that strong anyway.

I like it… but it smells almost only spice n leather for me in the opening
This smells dangerous. Beast. Not much of the iris(?), not the usual softness here..
It grows on me each time. But it is very dark n woody! Almost tar like.
I love the dh line, dh original is the best imo. Because I like that balance between spicy/sweet. Fresh and sexy.
But I’ll come back to this I think

I was hesitant on picking this up at first, because Dior Homme Intense is one of my favorite designer fragrances, and I didn’t think it could get much better than that.
    It does.
It’s safe to say that Parfum is my favorite out of all of the Dior Homme fragrances, including Homme Intense and the OG Homme.
It’s very smooth, leathery, and has a touch of oud. Also kind of has a chocolatey vibe, even though it’s not listed as a note.
As the person below me said, this is definitely niche quality stuff.
I’m super glad I was able to get a bottle when I did, because the eBay prices are taking over which is unfortunate. If I see another bottle pop up for a reasonable price, I’ll definitely buy it as a backup. And I don’t say that often.
One of my favorites. Definitely get your nose on it if you can.

Niche quality juice. Smells like DHI but this one is darker and heavier than DHI because of leather i think.
Beastly performance and very long lasting
    Almost immortal on clothes
These fragrances are the reason why I love dior so much. They never fail.

This is the pinnacle of the maturation process with the Dior Homme line. My first experience was with Homme EDT – for me the concept was a little shocking, this unconventional take on a men’s fragrance with it’s floral Iris notes. I put it aside, it seemed I just couldn’t go down that road.
    But I couldn’t forget it.
It was too intoxicating, and seemed just by wearing this reflects a confidence which in itself is sexy, where other men might be to insecure to pull it off.
Next, I tried Intense. Here is where the masculine element becomes more of a key player, while still retaining that Iris core. It ruined the EDT for me, seemed to expose it as primarily feminine and simplistic and now I was hooked on this new direction. Intense seemed much more complex and totally luxurious.
Then Parfum. This scent is just Boss. The delicious cakey sweetness of Intense has been tossed aside, like a crutch that isn’t needed anymore. What’s left is a concentrated heart of the pure essence of the concept of this line. It’s a new level that I didn’t know could exist above Intense. It’s mature, and more masculine than Intense.
    Now there’s no going back.

The dark side of dior homme series.
Opens similarly to the rest of dior homme line with strong iris blast but after 30 minutes it turns into dark woody/oud/rose/amber with refined leathery touch. Different approach to oud/leather/rose that is definitely western. No real oud is used here but it is the effect of cedarwood/sandalwood/rose combination. Very dense mixture, spray it from a distance to get the best out of it.
Longevity is super and the sillage is very far.
    Very luxurious and high quality.
    Masterpiece creation from dior.

Strong..excellent longevity but not suitable for hot & humid conditions, can be cloying…powerhouse.

I have a 2017 bottle and, while it doesn’t fill a room like some of the descriptions here, it projects well and lasts forever. I prefer the somewhat softer projection, so I’m happy with it.
    Oh, and it smells amazing.

No 2015/2016 bottles availible anymore.. too bad… newer reformulations smell like cheap shit and fades away in 4 hours, while the older batch coded bottlew lasted for like 10/12+ hours :/

Stunning iris and sweet leather with woody, spicy, floral, and animalistic touches to it. Monstrous performance and serious niche quality!
I have also ordered a backup bottle in case it is actually discontinued (it appears so as far as I can tell). The Dior rep at my Neiman’s said she was unable to acquire it for me, and I haven’t spotted it whilst exploring Dior or other LVMH websites thus far…This amber colored juice is truly incredible; it humbles my collection of pricier fragrances with ease. I have shared it with my colleagues and family just like all of my collection, and it received some serious praise! I did not believe that I would personally come to love a “powdery” type of fragrance, but Dior Homme Parfum is utterly breathtaking. It is an incredibly sexy, powdery-sweet leather smell which deftly balances “feminine/unisex” qualities and a classy “masculine” edge. Francois Demachy is a legend and I do not hesitate to call this work of his a masterpiece. I do not want to be without it in my collection period.

For the record both of my bottles are 7Q01 (allegedly produced in 2017), and they are so ridiculously good that I have a third on the way. I have not felt the need to do so with any other fragrance in my collection, so admittedly this thing has achieved legendary status for me as my favorite l
