The exclusive and elegant composition of the new fragrance originates from a mixture of popular and highly esteem edition Colonia Intensa enriched with precious oud essential oil.

Base of the composition is characterized by musk and leather. The composition is announced as very elegant, rich and vibrant.
Colonia Intensa Oud Eau de Cologne Concentree is available in a dark brown flacon made of glass, obtainable as 100ml eau de cologne concentree. Its luxurious outer carton is also colored in dark brown. Colonia Intensa Oud Eau de Cologne Concentree was launched in 2012.

This is absolutely unique! An exquisite blend of rich essences that seduces me especially since there isn’t anything sweet in it. Something old and something new… Citrus notes and spices in shades of dark green. A gentleman from the countryside wearing tweeds while roaming the woods. Casually elegant. Manly and bold! A beautiful Indian summer or a misty late autumn and early winter morning.

It’s ridiculous fucking fabolous haha . Smells fresh and old, like a deep pungent orange and dirty scent, in a fantastic/ sophisticated way. This one grew on on me, I had to try a couple of times. Here’s the verdict, way better than any oud scent, even surpassed the Tom Fords Oud scents. Fresh and Rich
maksimov84 – :
A well-executed and sleek Italian twist on the Oud concept.
To preface this little review, I don’t get any Oud from this fragrance at all. I find it more revolving around the concept of Oud rather than using any of the usual Oud notes. Having said that, it’s an excellent fragrance.
The opening here is gorgeous; though very contrasting and odd. It smells like a dark wood, with incredibly citric nuances. Imagine splashing freshly cut bitter oranges over some old, antique dark wood. It’s a very distinct and nostalgic smell. To my nose, there may be a hint of lime, both the juice and the rind. There is a definite dark undertone to it all, musky and leathery. The composition has a very dry opening.
Interestingly, I don’t find the fragrances progresses much. Over time, the citruses don’t smell as fresh anymore, and take more of a backseat. I believe the coriander may give the illusion of citruses being strongly present throughout the lifetime of the fragrance. Slowly, the fragrance gets muskier, and drier.
I find that this is an extremely wearable Oud. It is not at all as conceptual and experimental as it sounds; it simply smells like very clean, bitter woods. In small amounts, it could easily be worn to the office (it’s very strong).
Performance is incredible with this one. Longevity is such that it stays even after having a shower, easily lasting a full 24 hours. Projection is very heavy for about 4-6 hours. I personally don’t need more than 2 sprays with this, though 1 would definitely suffice too.
All in all, a very Italian take on the Oud concept. There is no animalic facet, no barnyard smell, no sweet warmth. It’s a cold, sharp and clean take.
An excellent creation.

much time spent looking for my ideal fragance and from two years ago this is it. Great, different, rich and personal. Don’t forget the deodorant spray and bath gel to complete the experience
andrei2311 – :
Aqua di Parma Colonia Intensa Oud has to be the most incredible and sophisticated Oud ever made. I now have what I like to call my aqua di Parma trilogy with Aqua di Parma Chinoto di Liguria, Aqua di Parma Colonia Intensa, and now Aqua di Parma Colonia Intensa Oud. If you can’t spoil yourself who will???
rom33 – :
It’s like a Creed Royal Oud with citrus and it is fantastic. Wearable even during the summer. Must try.
andrey007 – :
Perhaps my favorite Summertime oud fragrance that I have enjoyed wearing since purchasing a bottle in 2014. Oud, leather and coriander blended with citrus is what I get out of Intensa Oud, and I love it. For those expecting a deep, dank or medicinal oud…move-on because you’re not not going to find it here. Instead, you’re going to experience a lighter-oud- along the line of Creed Royal Oud–that shares top-billing with leather and coriander.
Moreover, if you don’t like coriander than you may not like this one since it is certainly noticeable. Offhand, I cannot see why more people did not vote for coriander as a more prominent note since it is extremely noticeable (front and center from top to bottom), but it is what it is. Personally, I love how coriander and citrus are used in Intensa Oud as they are combined to make a terrific oud fragrance that can be worn year-round, day or night and is classy at the office and appropriate for an intimate evening event.
Longevity and projection are both excellent, but not beastly. One can wear this fragrance into the office during the day and it remains on your skin for a terrific evening cuddle scent. As much as I love this scent, it’s a definite try because it’s just a bit out of the mainstream.
muhly – :
What a fantastic scent!
Finally an Acqua Di Parma I’ll be happy to wear! Being Italian I’ve always wanted to have at least one in collection but so far nothing from the Colonia line had worked for me, although the scents are gorgeous they turn out too soapy, flowery and granmotherish.
This one is rather PERFECT. Elegant, fresh but deep, refined, unique, sexy (the first sexy scent I smell from ADP) and a KING OF VERSATILITY! The more I smell it and the more I can imagine me wearing it in EVERY… I repeat because it’s quite rare… E-V-E-R-Y kind of weather, season, time of the day or night, context or occasion.
The only fragrance it reminds me of JUST A LITTLE BIT is Zoologist Rhinoceros, but without the booze and that Vicks Vaporub feel that I found really weird and hard to wear.
It can be a signature scent without any problem whatsoever.
10 out of 10 fragrance, one of the best ever smelled. And can I say something surely unpopular: it’s an Aventus killer. I don’t mean it smells similar, it doesn’t, but can serve exactly the same purposes perfectly, it’s niche quality too and way less expensive.
alisa32.kos – :
It’s an EdC indeed because after 2 hours all the initial complexity (which I love) is gone.
What remains – sticking out like a sore thumb – is a single aroma chemical. It reminds of isopropyl alcohol, maybe by some perceived as “medicinal”. Unfortunately that one note lasts well beyond the 8 hour mark.
Only a fool would expect actual oud oil in this but some form of oud accord would have been nice. In conclusion AdP Oud is about as much about oud as is WD40.
For a seriously crafted scent, consider a look at what Heeley has to offer.
TorToryclepet – :
At first I was skeptical a friend gave me a sample and i was still skeptical, until 1 day I decided to wear it and Bam 2 compliments so yes I am a sucker for a compliment so i bought a FB 🙂 I read below how some have compared it to a royal fabric softner and I get it ROYAL being the key word.
tukuser – :
I like the fact that Acqua di parma added citruses note in order to make Oud fresher and more wearable. It has a very unique depth and touch of mysteriousness. Longevity is 12+ on me and sillage is sneaky goes from under your shirt to hit and run. In general I don’t think it’s an easy fragrance to wear, but would be great for an evening date in a cold night.
dredd – :
I got this in a parcel from an incredibly generous friend and I just love it. This is the type of fragrance that you want to smell on a lover, it’s so comforting. It smells a little bit dirty, but mostly comforting. Nothing like most oudh based fragrances you’ll find out there, it’s a bit like the car of a very classy man. Leather seat covers, a mixture of strong, rugged and soft, fresh scents permanently afixed to the interior of said car. It’s both something I don’t want to smell of and something I constantly want to smell like. Not highly unusual, but maybe a try before buy. However, if you like leather or oudh scents, you’ll probably enjoy this.
enetlytes – :
I’ve loved Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa Oud ever since my mother gave me a bottle for my birthday. I’ve just received the new bottle I’ve ordered and am a little surprise to find that it no longer reads “Colonia Intense” but just “Colonia”. The rest of the label seems unchanged. At the bottom it says “Eau de Cologne Concentrée”. Does anybody know whether there is a difference between the two versions? Maybe AdP has just updated the label leaving the contents unchanged. I certainly hope so. Thanks for your help.
electrosound12 – :
This stuff is awesome. It DOES smell like fabric softener, like royal fabric sofener! This is no run of the mill scent. I personally think it’s a good blind buy. Very potent but not overpowering. It’s a balance of wood an fruit unlike I’ve ever smelt. 8-10

Just purchased from notino. This is my first aoud frag. Only time will tell. I’l be back 🙂
ragoza – :
If you like this please try Hajar by syed junaid alam you’ll be blown away. Citrus and oud beautiful combination.
zorg68 – :
First impression is that this is super juice but quite an odd concoction, as it’s almost a clash of 2 completely opposing scent groups, but mixed perfectly to form a wonderful frag.
I’ve never really liked ADP as a house but this has definitely encouraged me to explore them properly.
From the get go this reminded me of original Kouros, not the reformulated stuff, but with an added massive citrus blast and arguably the bets woody notes I’ve ever smelt in a frag.
And i’m no oud or Kouros fan at all but this just blew me away.
ADPCO is an incredible scent, it has room filling projection and lasts easily 24 hours on my skin.
I’m not usually a ‘Buy it on first test’ kind of guy but this and Black Afgano, which I think is arguably the greatest frag ever created, are two that I just fell in love with instantly.
EDIT: 29 Aug, The idea of mixing citrus with oud seems bonkers, we all know the myriad of floral/Ouds and spicey/Oud combos but citrus? Who’d a thunk it…..I think this is just keeps getting better and better and I can’t think of another scent that even comes close to resembling this.
natalochka – :
This juice is the best way to start with Oud if you are a beginner. A perfect quality price ratio and a crowd pleaser scent.Thumbs up!
SlavaVeche – :
I love this one. One of the few Oud fragrance that can be worn any season, even sometimes in summer if it’s not too hot)
Oud fragrances are most of the time polarizing. I’ve met a lot of people (mostly girls) that don’t like them, even the almighty TF Oud Wood. But not this one. I’ve been complimented a lot of time wearing it.
You don’t need to wear a suit to pull this one off. A shirt is preferred but i’ve already worn it with a plain white tee, a raw denim and white sneakers (Common Projects).
Give it a shot if you’re looking for a casual Oud to wear daily.

Does anyone know of any fragrance which has the dry down scent of this from top to bottom? It’s just to die for! Anytime I wear this I just want it to reach the dry down
rash07 – :
This juice right here is the one. One of my current top 3. The top notes go on a little harsh with the strong oud and leather notes. But hold on, after 20 minutes of the dry down, it is phenomenal. I get leather, coriander and course oud without the oud being real strong. The oud sits there in the background letting you know its there without being the maim attraction. The citrus note really comes out without being to citrusy. Lasts and projects all day and I mean all day, with just two sprays. Great for summer and in dry and arid climates. Be careful not to overspray especially if you wear this during summer days in humid and tropical climates. Worth the $200 price tag.
(PucK) – :
So normally I don’t care for ADP and I find the line generic and underperforming mostly.
This. How the @&€# did I miss this!? It is no beast, but it does have acceptable performance. Better then sauvage and edition blanche and most of the other “basic bastard” ubiquitous scents out there.
Sweet oud, not animalic, very approachable, very rounded and polished. For most people, unless you knew it was oud, you may have a hard time distinguishing it. I feel like this was what Creed was trying to achieve with Royal oud and just failed miserably. This does it right.
I bought the big 6+oz bottle after one day of wearing a decanted sample. Worth it.
Scent: 7.5/10 it isn’t an art piece but it is definitely signature scent worthy.
Projection 6/10 for 2-3 hours and a rapid decline to near-skin/skin only afterwards.
Sillage: 6/10 for an hour or so then a very slight train.
Longevity: 7/10 even on my skin, I get 7 hours of use which is amazing for an ADP.
Would I buy another bottle? Absolutely.
leo11 – :
I am a fan of the Acqua di Parma line and I think they do very classy interpretations of notes. Colonia Intensa Oud is another good one in their line up and as long as you are not expecting a heavy, middle eastern type Oud Frag, chances are you will like this. I feel this is also a great starter frag for someone just beginning to get into Oud as you get all the good parts of Oud here, albeit synthetic, without any of the off putting barnyard stuff.
Top notes are a weird, slightly pungent combo of bitter citrus and Oud. The citrus notes fade and the Oud is joined by the leather and amyris or elemi notes and hints of mild, slightly sour spice from the coriander. This frag really starts to shine around the two hour mark when it turns into a beautiful, calm, slightly dry combo of leather and Oud and it stays this way all the way through the dry down, lasting a good 8 hours plus on me. Projects a lot in the first hour or so before settling down, but will give you a good 6 inch projection around you for most of it’s scent life. Colonia Oud will work for most of the year except for hot summer months.
ADP Colonia Oud does pretty much all the things I want from an Oud frag and does it with a bit of Italian flair n panache. I love it and one of my go to Ouds. 9/10

I recently bought a ADP Colonia Intensa, loving the scent, but so disappointed about the longevity, it lasted for max 1 hour then all gone. So I decided to look around for another ADP, with awesome longevity, and I found this.
It’s nothing like the Intensa, but it’s really awesome! I just love the smell of the Oud, and the longevity is.. awesome at least.
Would really recomend this to people looking for gentleman scent.

Waw, this one is a gem – smells like bergamot, suede/leather and smoothly varnished oak to me, with a slight hint of violet, rose and berries. Brings to mind a full-scale cigar humidor, a pair of the finest polished English brogues or perhaps the leather wing chairs of a New York country club; but not so much a Middle Eastern spice bazaar or that kind of thing, this is very Western. Smells luxurious and expensive; sultry, sexy and masculine… oh yes, and it lasts 12-18 hrs with one spray. Definetly worth every penny, even though I didn’t pay retail it is worth it. And even though I generally don’t like Oud fragrances, I love this… 5*.

I blind bought this gem, based on the positive comments and I am very happy that I did so. It is really expensive and hard to find, but in overall the scent is very sophisticated and the performance is remarkable..
It stayed on my skin for more than 10 hours and the sillage was Ok; I got noticed even 6 hours in…
Usually I never get compliments on my frags, but for this one I received two in a day.
A very nice lady even asked me what I was wearing… I will keep this little beast in my collection and use it on special occassions.
This is real gentlemen stuff and could be even better pulled off with a suite & tie…
Enjoy…

After trying out AdP Colonia Oud in department stores for months and asking for samples ( managed to get 3 so far ) i finally got a bought a bottle while in France over the weekend.
Seriously, I think this is the most amazing perfume I ever tried. Hyper fresh and realistic citrus with a deep and warm oud and hints of leather. Its mysterious, sensual, classy and still very fresh. It scents high quality. There is no rose here like in most ouds. I have been trying out many of the ouds on the market, even bought a bottle of Versace Oud Noir but nothing is close to AdP Colonia Oud. It is simply magnificent. Other ouds are imo eighter to smoky, to sweet or to heavy. Most of them smell of roses and I do not like it. But this one is just something else.
I see that many reviews compare this one to TF Oud Wood. But I think they don’t even come close. Yes, oud is the main player in both but TF is heavy and warm while AdP is warm and fresh.
Longevity is hreat, lasts all day. Be careful when applying, very little goes a long way.
Great in summer for a white shirt with rolled up sleeves as well as a thin wool sweater during winter.
Regardless to the rather high pricetag this masterpiece is worth every cent.
But do not blind buy, must be tested out first.
Chris says here below that he finds rose to be very dominant. Interesting how our senses work. No matter how much i sniff i get no rose here.

Finally an Oud that one can wear all year long! If new to the hobby of perfumery or just wanting a good signature scent I would highly reccomend getting this! After wearing it for the first time I’m speculating a possible reform as the first time I wore this it dried down to a over sweetend dark scent. Now it seem lighter and more woodsy, could of been a off batch too. Anyways, I caked a few sprays on a saks the other day and it lasted all day long and was a great fragrance. Smells very very good: no medicinal Oud, not overly done or complex and not the harsh Oud that some fragrances portray. This is a great fragrance and I think it deserves lots more attention to it.

DIbo – :
Acqua di Parma Light-Rose Oud.
I’m surprised the notes don’t mention rose when it’s so prominent, at least to my curious non-professional nose. It strikes me as a light-colored pink rose though, and not a rich deep red one. Also, the refreshing side of this fragrance didn’t make it work so well during the winter months. I had better luck in warmer climate.

This is wonderful, but if you want an affordable alternative, try Oud Zaidan by Ajmal. I blind bought it on eBay for £12. Nothing on Fragrantica, no obvious website, so it really was a gamble, but I liked the descriptions given by sellers on eBay. An inexpensive “win” on the blind buy roulette table 🙂
ura2010 – :
The opening was far too strong for my liking. I got an initial burst of Oud, citrus accords and something herbaceous which made me feel slightly nauseous. After approximately 2 hours the citrus notes disappeared and some musk settled in – that was nice – the dry-down was a smooth and sensual oud, musk and leather concoction that was very alluring. Longevity is second to none: sprayed it on around 17:00 and it’s still going strong now at 01:52. I wouldn’t purchase it because the opening is too harsh and lasts too long on my skin. Overall, it’s a decent oud but nothing spectacular.
OXonjaldB – :
Cologne Intense Oud, is not a conventional and classic Middle Eastern Oud wood, dirty, floral and balsamic aspects but rather a leather-oud soap which also can be seen that sense of many Italian fragrances to give that feeling to go clean and neat.
Do not get that effect must have a good fragrance Oud, since for it is worth very synthetic chords and somewhat artificial soap attached to this aspect to Essenza as not paste on a Oud, losing much and failing to find within the specific aspects of this essence and that sense of naturalness that has this wood seems to me a search of the most fascinating by the rich nuances offered, and even a synthetic way you can offer better fragrances this even at a much lower price.
Out of this aspect, the fragrance is not bad, the balance is there and it is good also the projection is also very good, but those chords as soap in such synthetic oud not really know what it is, do not offer a good Odour end result and that is vital to qualify well to a good fragrance.

This manly scent is an acquired taste, but one that is worth acquiring.
There are only a handful of scents whose openings I enjoy. Whether it’s my body chemistry or taste or combination of the two, I don’t know? So, I take it as par for the course that I will dislike the opening.
Colonia Intensa Oud is no exception: the opening is foul. The combination of ingredients produce a pungent flowery, rose, shampoo smell that is reminiscent of the oldest of old women. Not that I dislike old women, I don’t, it’s just not my vibe, is all. I can’t abide rose in a perfume and although it’s never listed as an ingredient for Colonia Intensa Oud, that’s all I get for the start.
After half an hour has passed a new aromatic presence starts to overwhelm. It smells as though it’s the 80s and I have mixed Denim and Aramis together and added them to the rose to create one of the nastiest concoctions known to man!
An hour, or so, after initial application and the good times begin. The flowery rose becomes a distant memory and the Denim/Aramis battle resolves itself into something quite exquisite. The aromatics settle down and I get a sweet earthy musk with hints of coffee, sandalwood and burnt tyres.
I find it quite hard to pinpoint specific individual notes as the blend is quite masterful, it’s very much an olfactory chord. And this harmonious union just keeps getting better and better for the length of its life.
Fragrances tend to last long and project strongly on me. This one goes against the grain; I get about 5-6 hours of moderate projection. I also have to factor in applying it an hour before going out to avoid the unpleasant start.
In its pomp, Colonia Intensa Oud is highly masculine, it’s a heavy hitting businessman wearing a tailored brown suit and a thick, heavy, gold wrist chain. It took me a while, but I’ve got to say: I dig.

Acqua di Parma’s Colonia Oud does for Oud what Colonia Leather does for leather–softens the main ingredient by adding some citrus, making it more year-round-appropriate. Whereas the opening was a bit harsh, this dried down into something very similar to Colonia Leather. I don’t get much of a sense of the other notes–it comes off as mainly a blend of citrus, a little neroli perhaps, and the main oud aspect.
Projection and longevity are slightly weaker for the “cologne concentree”–performance was somewhat better on Colonia Leather—so the value is lost somewhat.
This rounds out the concentree trio for me, and it’s a very strong group overall. It might be worth trying Colonia Oud on one arm and Colonia Leather on the other, since they end up drying down similarly. Definitely a good exploration by Acqua di Parma—Oud, Leather, and Ambra are each worth trying.

I loved the scent for the first 2 hours.
After that, I could smell roses (not listed here as one of the notes).
For me the roses took an overwhelming turn that reminded me of my grandma.
Personally I dislike roses.
The oud is very very dry and harsh.
Sillage is powerful and lasts for and entire day.

I generously spayed this on myself approx. 5 hours ago while in a department store… woah! As already mentioned it’s a heavy-hitter in terms of sillage. You don’t need more than two sprays.
Not sure what to think tbh. It’s got a new leather shoe smell, but it’s much much sweeter than AdP Colonia Leather (which is a very odd scent). So sweet in fact that, combined with its powerful sillage, it’s often sickly and nauseating. I’d suggest not getting blind drunk with this on as you will be put off it forever with a hangover. Somebody mentioned YSL Les Nuit D’Homme which I personally despise due to its sweetness, but I can definitely see the comparison. However it’s much more complex than that and doesn’t have an astronomically high dominant note, instead, like a creme brûlée, if you crack through the nostril-burning intensity, you’re rewarded with a deep, creamy, wood/leather scent that projects a modern gentlemanly class.
I’m not so sure whether this ‘suits’ me personally, and I may need to test it again with less on me. However I may go on to buy the 50ml bottle as it’s definitely quality.

Way too many folks in the reviews below are confusing the substantial use of Norlimbinol in this frag for Oud. Get yourself a tiny sample of this synthetic molecule (Perfumer’s Apprentice) and you’ll go: “Woah, this smells like Colonia Intensa Oud.”

Concentrée? No. Eau? Neither. Oud? …
Woody something. Agreeable, that’s all.
Not for oud lovers.

I Have Waited A Long Time To Review This One!
This is a well balanced Oud. By that I mean that it doesn’t lean to heavily on the Oud to define itself as a fragrance. I could honestly enjoy this as a room spray or a cologne it lingers in a very stately yet subtle way. The top notes of Citrus and Coriander rest atop the shoulders of Oud and Leather in such a way that it says “Hey, I’m here. You know I’m here, but I’m not here to bother anybody”. Its friendly but not oppressive. A good starter for those that would like to get into the Oud’s but are unsure.
I’m not sure if I can agree with those that have compared this to Tom Fords “Oud Wood” these two scents are too different despite the name and primary ingredient. Some have told me that the musk note is too much for their liking and I can understand that. Certain notes don’t register the same with everybody.
What I will say is that these two fragrances differ greatly, though I am a greater fan of Acqua Di Parma. The scent resonates with me, its like one of those fragrances that I searched my whole life for. At the same time the Silage “Projection” of Oud Wood is higher. I guess you can just say that’s because one is an EDP and the other is not. Yet I still love what it love. Acqua Di Parma, Colonia Intensa Oud.
UPDATE: THE MORE I WEAR IT THE MORE I LOVE IT!!! (09/17/15)
Fragrance: 8.5/10
Silage: 7.0/10
Longevity: 8.0/10
