Oh gosh! This juice is just awesome.
When I smell this I feel like inside mystery magic haze. So beautiful, seductive, well blended masterpiece. In my opinion this one is the best from the whole Acqua Di Parma line.
Sasha12525 – :
The best Acqua di Parma.Created by two of the best noses on the planet (and personally among my favorites): Morillas and Demachy. This colony is different from the others. It does not go unnoticed. An elegant citrus and spicy at the right point. Great!
lacosta – :
Imagine sitting somewhere at an old wooden table at a winery in Toscana, Italy. The sun is shining, it has 30°C (for my American friends: 86°F) outside. Around the area there are dozens of orange and olive trees and cypresses. You’re enjoying life at its fullest.
The Italian family living there serves you some bruschetta and antipasti with red wine from their own cellar, which was built 250 years ago. The best crafted food you’ll ever have.
The father of this beloved Italian family makes his way to Rome in his Italian suit, driving in his old Italian Alfa Romeo, with leather interior, because he needs to check if everything goes well at his little store which produces hand made leather shoes.
That’s how this fragrance smells.
(Am I exaggerating? Yes, but who cares?)
uriy4567 – :
This is a classic an all year around scent, It has the best of all worlds citrus, flower, spice, wood, and musk. Very freshly done. A light masculine scent that will get you noticed. Go try it
an777 – :
I think this is day 7 of my sampling of Aqcua di Parma. Today I tried Colonia Intensa. It smelled good. An hour in I could smell a nice powder smell that I think is the leather. After a few hours I could smell the vetiver. The thing taht surprises me is that it was for marked for Men not Men and Women. Overall a nice smell but, like other of the Colonia brand expansions its not a good as the original.
t1mattt – :
I have the Tonico Dopobarba, but I’ve tried the Colonia on perhaps three times as well.
Firstly, the Tonico has considerably less citrus in the opening, almost none. It more smells like a Martini Bianco mixed with a barber’s tonic of sorts. The Colonia has the usual very nice citrus blast, and settling towards a similar drydown with it’s barber brother. (If you’re interested how much the Tonico lasts it’s every time 4h and maybe on the collar another 4) TD has ever so slightly oily consistency, so probably has some quality oils there. And Myrtle water, nice. The tonico is the most elegant aftershave I’ve ever used. Read: maybe not the best or most masculine smelling, but a more elegant one is hard to find.
A cocktail comparison with another Colonia of similar qualities: Alvaréz Goméz Agua de Colonia Concentrada Barberia.
Ginger is at the top, opening the scent with a Campari-like bitter orange, and that opening very much reminded me of Acqua di Parma’s Colonia Intensa – at first. So that one is Campari & Soda with orange slice to AdP Intensa’s Martini Bianco & Lemon slice (that would be because of the Artemisia found in both AdP and Vermouth). This reminiscence and analogy comes to mind only in their respective openings, their hearts take a different path. For one AdP will become more creamy at that point I suppose..
i.i. – :
So I just recently re-acquired Colonia Intensa after selling it off a year or so ago. Maybe I was at another stage in my fragrance journey at that point, but when I recently testing it out again, I was impressed enough to get it back in my collection.
What I get out of this from the top is a blast a citruses with some subtle spiciness, I don’t get any neroli in this even though it’s listed as one of the notes. The top does not last long and it pretty much morphs into the base rather quickly. After maybe 30 min or so, I get a pretty linear ginger/cedar/leather base that hums along until the end, in my case around 8 hours or so, although it’s pretty much a skin scent at that point.
This is certainly not a “loud” or “Beastly” fragrance by any stretch of the imagination, but that’s not a knock on it either. To me this a a perfect warm weather work scent that won’t offend anyone. I certainly am glad to have it back in my collection!
alexlukas – :
While the original colonia, essenza and assoluta are similar, the intensa is a different story. The citruses and flowers are present the first minutes, but after that the cedar and resins are what this scent is all about on my skin.
I personally prefer the brighter colognes, but intensa is a good quality scent for those who like darker notes. But dont expect a typical cologne with this one. Its closer to a woody/resin scent.
sarlAnaessy – :
If I had the budget, I would bathe in this.

If you love acqua di gio profumo, you will like it. If you love Chanel Pour Monsieur you will like it. It’s less citrus then Pour Monsieur, it’s less spicier then profumo. It in between of those two.
Волохмурдыш – :
This is the classic Le Labo Rose 31 but more aromatic and with more olfactory complexity.
eaguy – :
The citrus opening is all it shares with it’s elder siblings Colonia and Colonia Abssoluta. Dense, rich, warm, comforting, spicy, woody, musky, amber. If you fancy a citrus during the colder months this is the one to grab! Delicious and addictive, incredible value for money, smells like it’s made from the highest quality ingredients.
metr82 – :
Leathery spicy and rich. I have the little travel bottles and I always reach for this on a night out. Lasts for hours. Unisex in my opinion.
drezden630 – :
One of my favourites from the Acqua di Parma range. This scent oozes class and elegance. I feel a huge luxurious vibe when wearing this scent, I’m instantly transported to a world of marble pillars, marble floors and chandeliers. Ideal for any night time formal occasion. I also think this could be comfortably worn by a woman.
The citrus opening is upfront and shines, which combined with neroli, spice, wood and leather creates a beautiful luxurious scent
Timeless elegant masterpiece… check it for sure.

CorToigoInorm – :
This is up there in my top 3 scents iv ever come across. A very refined masculine scent thats easy to wear and versatile. Definitely signature scent worthy. Dont be put off by the opening that at first i thought might be too mature, the heart and base are amazing! The leather and smoky-sweet musk is incredible. kind of reminds me of a more luxurious issey L’Eau D’Issey which i have loved and worn for years, but maybe outgrown or overdone over the years, colonia intensa is an obvious progression. nice bottle as well.
Mack3 – :
Citrus leather & cardamom twist.
This one is kind of better than “Essenza di Colonia”, it has that cardamom twist and ginger sting that made the whole juice differs from being original cologne.
It remains the citrus, Russian leather kind of fragrance but i think it’s kind of upgraded a bit as the myrrh and artemisia changes the blend direction on the drydown beside the musk and the patchouli.
It reminds me of one of my cousins fragrance as he is the kind of an unsecured guy, don’t care about a fragrance unless it’s like other fragrance and people won’t talk but ok to compliment.
Extremely safe, and to those cologne fragrance lovers, you need to sample it before taking it if you are into colognes.
nadyn_07 – :
Despite being unmistakably modern and distinct, Colonia Intensa manages to hold on to that old world elegance of its storied predecessor.
Ginger, woods, pepper (a lot, almost to the point it’ll make you sneeze), cardamom and leather to smooth it out. Very well blended.
Mid sillage, stays close to the body
5-7 hours longevity but remains detectable throughout the day
All seasons but perhaps best for the milder temperatures of Spring/Autumn
Smart casual to formal
I think the person who would enjoy this is someone who can appreciate the finer things. Dressed simply but well. More Bottega Veneta than Dolce & Gabbana.
feezz – :
Colonia Intensa is a superbly crafted contemporary masculine scent. This is no flanker to the original Colonia; rather, it is a standalone fragrance in a thoroughly modern fresh, spicy, woody-leather style.
The excellent quality on display here is no mere chance. Coloina Intensa had the best start in life, with two great noses behind it – master perfumer Alberto Morillas, and a pre-Dior Francois Demachy. Together, they envisaged a fragrance with a traditional cologne opening, leading almost instantly to a flurry of spicy notes. The predominant spices are intense ginger and a cardamom note worthy of Jean-Claude Ellena’s masculine compositions. Indeed, there is a Hermes-like quality to the scent’s surprising dry down of leather and woods – it inhabits a niche somewhere between the citrus leather of Eau d’Hermes, and the spicy leather of Bel Ami.
Colonia Intensa certainly lives up to its name – but as wonderful as this scent is, it’s too intense for my tastes. I much prefer another of Acqua di Parma’s contemporary takes on the classic cologne; the beautiful citrus-floral Colonia Assoluta. Still, Intensa has its place, and is undeniably well put together. The performance is very good, and it’s a much better scent than most of the designer dreck served up to men these days. It’s a good choice for manly men with a bit of flair.
AlexeyM – :
I bought this off offerup app for $15.00 from a guy 1.7oz.He didnt know what he had. Smells great.
anatoli_4 – :
14 notes listed for this perfume and excellent longevity – for a citrus fragrance looks complex and interesting.
I have tested it from this brand classic Acqua di Colonia – which I consider a bit feminine (powdery) and outdated and Esenza di Colonia – which I consider an exaggeration and a little aggressive.
The same things can not say about Colonna Intensa, which is a more balanced and “classic” perfume in the sense of a conventional style with deep roots in the 80s era.
I wore it for a few days and it seems too formal for me and for what is being worn nowadays.
As a composition, I can say that it is a much simpler business than we would be tempted to believe because of the 14 listed notes – it’s basically a combination of citrus and leather.
It reminds me of Hermes Bel Ami, of course in a much lighter version, and looks strange if we think it was released in 2007.
I think it has been thought of as a perfume for mature men over 40-50 years and will certainly find lovers outside of this age group, especially for those who want a “serious” or a “professional” perfume.

I prefer this over Terre de Hermes. This is the right scent you use when you are in the yacht on the evening, donning crisp white shirt & short pants, banging a beautiful model over sunset. Marvellous!

Very formal, classy, and mature perfume.
Think joop and 1 million, this is the opposite, thank God for that.
I love it and it is the classic of colognes, intense and fresh.
The notes I can mainly detect are citruses, bergamot, lemon… with a bit of floral sweetness maybe the neroli, and background leather and woods, the last 2 join the notes together and form the base of this perfume.
I’m also glad the patchouli is weak, otherwise it will ruin it for me
Excellent mature masculine fragrance, I’m glad to have in my collection.
If you hate the cloying sweet teen fragrances (like me), try this one.

I bought a 50ml bottle 2 years ago from john lewis and it lasted about 1hr, bought the same 2 days ago from john lewis and it lasts about 10+ hours. Not sure if it was fake the 1st time or its been reformulated. The scent also seems stronger than before.
Overall I find the scent very classy and I will buying it regularly
bolt5 – :
Typical eau de toilette very classic Italian, very good composition, complex and made with high quality half-court.
It could be a skin scent or fragrance of intimate character (point against for many) since after the first initial burst of citrus dismally low projection and is pegadita to skin.
The combination of citrus ginger and cardamom matifican citrus and neroli brings a rainbow full of light and joy (my favorite part), part of which unfortunately it does not last long.
Drying wood and balms is complex and well measured, anticipating a soft white musk drying, lightweight, which makes hold a couple of hours and then reapplied again (point against).
The fragrance has a certain quality, citrus scent that remains for most of the evolution of the fragrance and if you like this kind of intimate, classic and fresh Italian flavors then you’ll love this.
Calling himself “Intense” I personally find somewhat lacking in projection and duration for the quality we are trying and especially paying.

VikaFerova – :
An interesting take on the house theme, this is a bigger departure from the classic EdC structure that you see in something like Essenza. House purists knock it for this reason, but I love the darker facets introduced by the leather, patchouli. Im also a sucker for sharp aromatics, so cardamom and cedar are always a win for me.
The opening is the straightforward citrus-woody fare you would expect from any competent gentlemans fragrance. The citrus and neroli components of the EdC style are here, but the neroli is not amped to the buttery, near white-floral pitch you get in some hard core EdCs (especially the ones formulated strong enough to last 8+ hours). Instead, the neroli melts into the green, herbaceous structure of the cardamom, cedar, and artemesia. Ginger is not particularly prominent to my nose, perhaps being lost in the myrrh and benzoin resins. This is a citrus-woody-leather, in that order.
The leather here is a soft, brown note (not like the hard black leather of the AdP Leather flanker). It wraps around the patchouli and myrrh. To be honest, I might not have placed it by name without reading the pyramid, but I am used to strong, forward-leaning leathers, and that doesnt meant that it is a weak note in this fragrance. I would say it is in the middle, under the citrus, cardamom, and cedar, but above the ginger and resins.
Closer to the drydown the fragrance becomes softer and a bit powdery; here the benzoin, musk, and myrrh come out to play. It is not a strong shift towards the oriental ingredients; rather, a gradual coziness that comes on as the composition comes to rest.
Overall this is a top-shelf choice for a year round signature with performance: 8-10 hours with four sprays. Perhaps not the most unique, but it smells quality, stands out from your average designer detergent fare, and can be worn year round and in all situations.

drydown
رایحه = 8
پخش بو = متوسط شاید تا 1 متر
ماندگاری = رضایت بخش. حدودا بالای 6 ساعت دوام داره رو پوست من
ارزش خرید = 8
نمره کل = 7.8

A strikingly modern, enhanced rendition of the classic Colonia. On my first test, after a bitter citrusy opening, the scent was dominated by artemisia. Actually, I barely noticed other notes. Now I wear this juice regularly (once a week), just enough to learn it quite well. It’s pleasantly dry, rich (plenty of wood, herbs and neroli) and invigorating. Makes you feel fresh and energetic all day long. Longevity and sillage are moderate. After 5 hours, it turns into a skin scent – still noticeable to you only, woody and bitter.
Better try before you buy – I like it a lot, but for many of us it can be a love-or-hate story 😉

Just received a sample of this after trying the original Colonia.
I have to admit that I didn’t like Colonia the first couple times i tried it, I felt it had an “old man” smell. I’m glad I stuck with it though because I love it, very summery. Although it doesn’t last long as everyone else says, which brings me to trying Intensa.
Right out the gate its not Colonia, although it has some similarities. The dry down isn’t anything like it, maybe it’s just me but it completely reminds me of Polo blue. Glad I just tried a sample because it’s not for me.

This has been my signature scent for years. It just works so well on me. I’m generally a big fan of Acqua di parma but this – for me is perfect. No other scent, apart from Essentric 02 has gotten me more compliment than this.

This fragrance is worn by someone who is unapologetically BOLD. This person has money, thinks big, and stands out. Think about how you want to dress when wearing this one.
One spray is enough. Two sprays and it will be overpowering. It is long lasting with significant sillage.

Reminds me of Old Spice. Pleasant, but for an older generation overall.

I have a strange nose, and I keep finding the strangest similarities. I found AdP Intensa quite similar to Le Labo Rose 31. But for some reason the spices add up to the same combination used with the Rose. I understand this might be just me, but I really enjoyed it. One of the things I enjoy about Rose 31 is the stinky spice and musk (this is a compliment). AdP Intensa has it!
Dimson39rus – :
An immediate citrus burst, with dashes of bergamot, lemon and lime, a mix of citrus fruits as well, balancing the acid with the fruity delights!
After a few minutes I feel something more floral clean, white and bright, but at the same time dense and almost spicy, follows a path peppery and invigorating at the same time, I believe that ginger appears doing it.
The dry down with light woody nuances, a narrower touch, I do not identify as leather, but something like cedar and moss, giving maturity and refinement at the same time.

I absolutely love this fragrance… I’m not a big fan of fresh sharp citrus summer fragrances but this one is really nice… it’s got other notes of woods ginger and leather which balance out the fragrance very well…
Only problem is performance… but I would normally just reapply a couple of times during the day as the scent itself is beautiful.
lin85 – :
Colonia Intensa definitely goes in a different direction from Colonia Assoluta with respect to the original Colonia. While Assoluta is a floral, sweet/spicy combo and a modern take on the original, Intensa is a much more bold, acerbic departure from the traditional cologne smell. Empowered with myrrh, patchouli, and cardamom, but seemingly not with much greater concentration, Intensa is more blatantly masculine and serious. It does have citrus and neroli opening DNA but the connection from the original and Assoluta is limited. The usage is similar to the other two, though Intensa would fare better in colder weather, I suspect.
Projection and longevity are about the same as the other two, and priced similarly, I imagine this is a good option who wants something harsher and bolder than the other two, though personally I prefer the original and Assoluta more due them simply being more pleasant. Again, this is a line that needs to be tried out individually, as there does not seem to be a consensus regarding Assoluta vs. Intensa. I do want to try Essenza as well to see how that stacks up. Interesting line, for sure.

*** UPDATE: My instincts were right. Colin Maillard slammed this one with a 4 out of 10! I can see why. After my review I had the chance to sample it once more and I’m dead certain that I’d never buy a bottle. It just doesn’t live up to AdP standards, based on what I’ve experienced thus far.

I have 5 different Acqua di Parma fragrances in my collection. Intensa had been missing. So I finally sampled it. And?
Disappointing. I really didn’t know what to make of this. I was expecting a good bit of woodiness. Didn’t get much at all. Not bad actually, but nothing interesting. Intensa is not going to be part of my collection.
My recommendation — do not blind buy this. Definitely sample it!
DIMMC – :
This was a blind buy. I read about the notes and got intrigued. I received my bottle today, and do not regret the purchase. It is a very fresh, and yet warm scent, with great sillage and longeviety.
It does have some moments during development on my skin that I kind of need to get used to though. The “problem phases” don’t last long, thank heaven for that, but they’re there – and they are sort of prominent. The first one appears in the opening of the scent. It’s very fresh and clean and citrusy, but on my skin I also detect a weird note that smells like a swimming pool. Almost like chlorine. It disappears within seconds, but still.
When the chlorine is gone the scent is absolutely gorgeous. Rich, almost dense and vibrant. Still very citrusy, but with a tempramental spicy note against an earthy, leathery background.
The second and last unpleasant phase (to my nose, that is), is the powdery, soapy one that instigates the heart of the scent. Again, this does not last for long, but it is prominent, and something I need to get used to. Soapy scents are not amongst my favourites.
When the soap goes away the cologne enters a wonderfully rich, elegant and sensual phase with a slight masculine undertone (it is after all listed a scent for men – allthough it feels kind of unisex on my skin). It reminds me of a more herbal and masculine version of Chanel No 5 – a perfume I own and love.
The very base of the scent is just divine. Intensely woody, with prominent leather, a lovely vanillic benzoin accord and smouldering earthiness of patchouli.
Colonia Intensa is a great creation, and I really look forward to use it. To me this is a perfect scent for spring and fall, both fresh and cozy warm at the same time. I also think it would be the perfect scent, applied lightly cause it is quite strong, for work and times when a person needs to appear professional.
EDIT: I’m wearing Colonia Intensa today, for the first time after testing it, and the initial chlorine smell is gone now. Don’t know what caused it, but happy I don’t smell it anymore.

After a long winter, I decided to treat myself with 180ml of this GEM ☺. The best way to describe this fragrance is HEAVENLY. When I first sprayed on my skin, I pickup a sweet/powdery aromatic scent from cardamom and patchouli. After this juice settles, it’s like a symphony. All the different notes starting from the citrusy blend then a warm/woodsy scent from myrrh with a hint of cedar. Finally the added note of leather gives this frag the WOW factor.
Longevity and Silage is excellent lasting over 8hrs when I spray it 2x on my skin.
Overall opinion,
So is this fragrance worth buying? Hell yes it’s worth every ounce. I find it very masculine/attractive and luxurious without hesitation. I don’t know what else could be said to describe this juice…MODERN MASTERPIECE. 10/10. Anyone who wants a high quality fragrance….this is absolutely it!!!!!

Very generic, citrus, cardomom and ginger. Strong citrus opening and then quick mildly sweet drydown. Inoffensive scent, nothing unique..smells like one of the ferragamo frags and perhaps some from the YSL lanuit series.
Vanishes after 30 minutes. Pitiful longevity and projection. For the price, certainly not worth it.
qbmbewnqri – :
A masculine spicy citrus scent, utilizing a great heft of cardamom and ginger root to match its prominent citrus opening. The addition of these spices creates an overall oriental flair. Animalic leather and balsamic benzoin add a layer of depth once the lemon, bergamot and other citrus notes fade away. I could swear I detect the addition of cinnamon, but perhaps this is just a mirage. Guaic wood and cedar along with dark musks frame the dry down. There is a delicate balancing act here, between the bright and fresh hersperidic opening, the spicy orientals of the heart and the resinous/animalic base. Quite simply, perfection. (142)

Colonia intensa is a very strong and long lasting perfume. it has class and style no doubt about that. But the question is: what is the more intense note in this according to the more fresh original.
It is more heavy in its dry down and is more like the essenza. Its start is great but the dry down is closing into a heavy scent. But there is no doubt about its class and y have to like it. For me it is too much a flanker but with class and therefore prefer the original or the assoluta.

AdP Intensa is sunshine in a bottle. I love the citrusy opening and then the woody dry down. It is soft, manly and elegant. I can smell it on me and it makes me very happy. Definitely a day time fragrance.
Wamearguert – :
This one is a nice twist on the classic cologne. Opens with a slight citrus that turns soapy very quick. Now its changed over to a light, dry leather. A few more notes join the leather, notes I cant identify yet. This one needs a retest.
EDIT: 01-14-15 Not soapy at all to me now. The main thing here is the drydown which is a dry-woody leather. The heart is some kind of pungent, earthy green. Almost throws off a sweaty vibe.
noris59 – :
A heavy “perfumey” citrus with some added wood. Like Burberry Original or Dolce and Gabbana, it is a very bright, golden scent with a metallic edge that wants to smell expensive, but I fear that the metal in AdPI is too intense. It’s extremely strong and long-lasting, and I loved it at first; one spray on a jacket lying in my living room lasted for at least two weeks, leaving what at the time seemed a very expensive, refined aura. But over a few uses, I discovered AdPI’s thick, stifling side: a cloying denseness (not even sweetness per se) would hang so heavily over me that I would be completely at wits end by the end of the day, though layering over it with a light EdC would make a palatable combination. I’m pretty sure that one very sappy, sticky floral is the offending note; it makes me think of flowers that are just a bit too wilted to be kept any longer, when the stems themselves begin to smell old. The base, once you’ve gotten over how expensive it smells, just feels like generic perfume residue. Or not even perfume specifically, but really any upscale scented product. Unfortunately it tends in my mind toward shampoo, the one association that can really put me off this family of fragrance. It becomes the Hotel from Hell, where you try their fancy shampoo packet and are then damned to spend all of eternity trying to rinse it out.

Just tried this for the first time today, but am struck by how similar it is to Lalique White. There’s probably a little more citrus, but the ginger in the top notes and the slightly peppery dry down are almost identical. It’s pleasant, though I’m not blown away by it. If it’ something you’re interested in then it may be worth noting that the Lalilque is a lot cheaper.
