I actually found a small travel size of this perfume at the park! What a pleasant surprise 🙂 Since I am musk crazy, this was a perfect thing for me to try out. This is a very uncomplicated slightly floral musk. It’s not ground-breaking, but it’s really, really nice. It lasted several hours on me, although I think I was probably the only one who could smell it. That’s okay, it IS called “Skin” after-all. I’d say it’s slightly feminine, but some guys might dig this as well. I’m going to call it a like because I prefer more distinctive musks, but this is actually perfect for year-round wear for anyone who works in environments where wearing fragrance might be frowned upon. Love the rollerball, it’s perfect for travel!

I really like the non-perfume perfume concept. It’s not seriously noticeable but you know it’s there and you know you smell good. It’s very soft and has a powdery musk aspect to it but it’s comforting and gives you a little kiss of scent. I think it’s a very subdued sexy fresh scent. If you like smelling clean & fresh all day & an actual perfume is not your thing then this is for you

Like the previous reviewer, when I first put this on I smelled absolutely nothing. Not even a trace. Oddly, about 10 min later a soft, very softly floral and aquatic musk has emerged from nowhere. Like magic! It’s pretty for now and I like it. Musk has a tendency to do terrible things on my skin so we’ll see, but so far so good.
Update to say that the musk never does turn bad on me. I’m so excited! My husband also came home and said he really liked this, which is extremely rare. He hates most perfumes.
Longevity is decent for this type of scent. The drydown lasts about 6 hours, but the best part of the fragrance lasts maybe 2-3. I’ll be adding a full bottle to my rollerball and hopefully can get some more longevity of the middle notes on clothing.

I’ve had this on my want list for a few years now and finally bought a big bottle. I was so bummed when I sprayed and smelled NOTHING! I sprayed a lot and still absolutely nothing. I know it’s the musk I’m anosmic to. Today I decided to try it again today. Initially nothing but then an hour later I was catching whiffs of a pretty soft floral scent. I am enjoying it! I bought this to wear to work since I work at a hospital so I choose soft scents. This will work perfectly.

I would like to address a comment in someone’s review
“Smells like clean skin. You can achieve the same effect by taking a shower.”
Why yes, it’s true you’re could take a shower, but then, how many showers can you take in one day and not dry your skin out? Can you shower while you’re at work or school? That is what this is for. It prolongs that freshly out of the shower smell and can be freshened whenever you feel the need through out the day. No, it’s not meant to be an olfactory work of art. It’s meant to perform one simple task, just to smell clean. You can wear this for work or school and leave the “special” perfume for special occasions or nights out,
For those who wear musks very well, people will find this very attractive, sexy even! It’s one of my favorites and very highly recommended for daytime wear all year round.

I’m not a fan of this, all I smell on my skin is strong musk. My daughter says it smells like melon, melon isn’t in the notes but another person said they could smell melon in their review. Maybe it’s a chemistry thing, but this scent is definitely not for me.

For me it smells like soft coconut with vanilla 🙂

Every time I try this it becomes a different fragrance. I originally tried a tester at Ulta and loved that it smelled like the most beautiful light, musky, vanilla skin scent. Later on, I ended up purchasing a small .5 fluid oz. bottle and it was nothing at all like I remembered it. The next time I wore it, I couldn’t wait to get it off. It had a more masculine vibe. No vanilla whatsoever. And just ended up smelling sad and watery. I’ve tried it several more times after that and I find that sometimes this smells good and other times it smells strange. It performs a lot better on actual skin rather than on clothes. When it does smell good, it is one of the most perfect skin scents. It is one of those scents that makes people wonder if you’re wearing perfume or if you’re just a good smelling person.

Love it! I had grown tired of statement perfumes and wanted to blend in.
Sweet but not cloying, feminine but not too much, perfect summer floral. I smell grapefruit! A bit powdery.
Very balanced all and all. Not impressive but very appealing. Which is what I wanted.

I have easily triggered migraines and have to chose perfumes very carefully. For a long time I never used any perfume at all. Then I found Clean Rain, Air and Skin. And they all work for me. No migraines, no drama. CLEAN Skin is very special to me since white musky scents are just perfect for my skin. It’s all about chemistry. I never knew that! The lady in the shop explained it to me. So Skin smells lovely on me from the first moment to the last, and it doesn’t change much over the hours. The flowers and the musk is a good mixture, but the musk definitely dominates. I wear it all the year round, at work, at home, in bed. It’s discreet and pleasant. I even like the purple colour of the bottle!

    The notes are:
Honey dew, lotus blossom, fresh air accord
Dewy petals, aquatic notes, blue rose
    White musk, amberwood, vanilla
It’s a perfect innocent, clean without being harsh, sweet perfume. It’s perfect for when you want to feel fresh and comfortable and smell nice! Perfect for everyday. And especially for travelling and work, being very close to other people but you still want to wear perfume without offending anyone or actually smelling like perfume. I love this stuff and I appreciate what CLEAN is doing with their scents! They are ment to just make you smell, well, clean! Nothing more, nothing less! I have now bought Fresh Linens from the same line, but it’s not in the database yet. I want to try even more from this line!

As with all the ‘clean’ scents I understand what everyone is saying about them being rather boring, soapy, etc. but as a nurse I have to wear these type of scents or none at all. Needless to say, as a fragrance addict, I probably own every one of them. What surprised me are the endless compliments from total strangers (constantly, more than any other scent I have). The only thing I add is generic iso e super because I love the woody aspect of it – maybe that is the key?

Smells like clean skin. You can achieve the same effect by taking a shower. Not-A-Perfume perfume. I’m unclear as to why anyone would buy this. Sure, it is an unoffensive, weak, clean, ‘scent’ that won’t be noticed by anyone. But on the other hand, you might as well wear no perfume.
Just for the record, this isn’t feminine or masculine. Literally anyone could wear this, it simply smells like clean skin. I don’t think it has a sex/gender slot.
This is so uninteresting. I can’t understand its appeal. Even if you wanted a clean, inoffensive skin scent, there are so many better and more interesting options than this.

I got a paper sample of this yesterday, opened it, rubbed it on my skin, and instantly I said to myself, “This is a copy of Dream Angels Heavenly by Victoria’s Secret. WOW.”
The paper sample is almost a dead ringer for it, except the Clean Skin sample has something else… something a bit more floral, a different layer of musk… something a tiny bit richer. But dang, are they close!
I’m afraid I’m going to buy the full bottle and it’ll be a completely different scent than what the paper smelled like. It’s happened before, and I ended up getting sick to my stomach and had to recant my review.
Funny enough, both fragrances are advertised to mimic to “warm, clean skin of a woman”.
I love Dream Angels Heavenly. I have at least 15 bottles. They re-formulated in the past couple years so I stocked up. Everyone goes absolutely crazy over it when they pick up my smell. So if there’s another brand that offers a similar fragrance, I need it. At least just to compare, lol.
Clean Skin is probably at my local Kohl’s, which is where the sample came from. Maybe I’ll go and try it out today. But man, that sample is so gorgeous. It’s got a nice rich white musk. It’s one of those holy-grail fragrances where it’s underwhelming and overwhelming at the same time. (Which is very hard to pull off.)

Skin is a very clean, slightly floral musk. I’m not a musk fan, but I like this one. I bought it as part of a 3 pack (with Air and Warm Cotton) that’s designed to be layered and I think that is where this perfume really shines–layered with other perfumes from this line. If you’ve struggled to find a musk perfume you like, you may want to check this one out.

Finally, a musk I can wear! Sits super close to the skin, and only wafts up if applied to cleavage. But for someone whose chemistry usually cannot abide musk – I’m loving it. Soft and clean, like an after shower snuggle. The hubs liked it right away. Sold!

Love’s Baby Soft drowned in musk! Glad to see this uncomplicated scent at Sephora so I can try it for myself. It reminds me of floral-scented baby powder; the kind my grandma used to wear when she got dressed up. Yes, it smells clean but it is not for me.

This scent is very neutral to me. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it. It’s just fine and a little bland, I guess.

  20. :

I really tried to love this at first. Out of the bottle and the first time I wore it it smelled fresh and clean, like “skin” with a slight floral scent. However, I wore it this past weekend and my husband said I smelled nice… for a grandma (I’m in my 30s lol)! I don’t know if it just didn’t layer well with another frag I put on much earlier that morning, but for the rest of the afternoon I kept getting powdery whiffs that smelled nothing like the fresh and clean I initially picked up on (I HATE powdery!) and it made me sick to my stomach. I think it might be worth another go, but I’ll definitely be more conscious from now on about what I’m layering this particular frag with.

This is a good, cheap(ish) laundry musk that you can wear to work, and not worry about spraying too much on. I feel like I use it for a closet spray/linen spray more than I wear it on my skin. CLEAN also makes some awesome home fragrances, too! I feel about this like I feel about all CLEAN fragrances – it’s nice, it won’t offend anybody, ever, it has moderate to weak staying power, and it plays well with others. I’ll probably always keep the vanity stocked with an array of CLEAN fragrances because they are easy to reach for when I just can’t think of what to wear, and they are relatively inexpensive. But I don’t feel passionately about any of them. And you could probably find some Demeter scents that do the same thing for less.

  22. :

This smells so wrong on my body chemistry. I really wanted to love this and get the clean skin smell that many other people experienced. Maybe the sample I was given has gone bad…
This smelled like ham. Like when you go out and catch a whiff of something, or someone, funky. It smells like the opposite of if I had just had a bath. Instead, I smell as if I’ve gone a couple of days through the grimy parts of life without a shower or even so much as a sponge bath.
Horrible, and it’s very rare that I dislike a perfume, I absolutely love fragrance in general, but something about this makes my stomach turn. I had to douse myself in a fruity sweet smell (which lately I don’t even like) to take my mind off of it. And what’s worse is that I sprayed this in my elbow pits! Please don’t make that same mistake when you’re sampling a fragrance.

This doesn’t make much of an impression on me at all. It smells “nice”, but I find myself struggling to find more to say about it than that. It doesn’t seem very strong and doesn’t project very far, and it doesn’t smell like anything in particular to me. I don’t think it smells like “clean skin” unless that skin has been spritzed with a mild, generic kind of flowery scent. If there were ever an occasion where I’d want or need something that smells this faint and “safe”, I’d probably save my money and go with no perfume at all.

You wouldn’t think that finding a simple, clean, safe smelling fragrance would be so hard to find, but it has taken me til this one came out to accomplish it. I work at a school with kids who have sensory sensitivities, but I really love wearing scent (obviously – that’s why I’m here) so I really needed something safe that just smells clean. I’ve tried a lot of other so-called “clean” and “shower fresh” scents and found that they were either aquatic, which I hate, or they are heavy on the citrus, which I’m not against, but not what I had in mind for this purpose, or they smelled like detergent/fabric softener. If I wanted to smell like Bounce, I would use Bounce. This one is just soft, pretty, and truly shower fresh. I spray a little on my clothes to make it last, but I can still detect it on my skin slightly at the end of the day.

Clean Skin just made my day! Was sniffing around at Kohl’s and fell upon this hidden gem! (At least hidden from ME 😉 )
This is perfection. I am in love and it lasts a long time on the skin too! For me, 10 hours! And when you layer it with Clean White Woods you get a whole new experience! I would say that this is more on the musky fresh side rather than the feminine floral. But it is NOT masculine by any means. It is unique as well. Just so wonderful!!! It’s all those things that in a perfume, are my favs.

  26. :

Hmm, I own Lucky You, and I really don’t find it similar. Lucky You is more like a fresh citrus cologne that dries down to something sweeter, and this is mainly clean melon. It’s not annoyingly melon like some aquatics, but there definitely is melon in there…a clear, soapy melon. It really does smell like clean skin after a bath actually. It is one of the weakest scents I’ve ever smelled though, but I would buy a small decant just to have around.

Got this and its siblings clean warm cotton and clean rains in a boxed set at Marshalls for $20.
This is a very clean(haha) lovely muted scent. I think it suits summer more..but if we have any warm days in the future(which is common) I will give it test! Its got a sweetness to it too.
    Good scent!

A very light and warm scent. Compare to the musk part, the flowers are quite noticeable.

I have Clean Warm Cotton, decided to try this.
I love it too! Its like a mix of Jovan White Musk, Davidoff Cool Water, and something powdery, kind of like Love’s Baby Soft, but not too sweet or cloying like that. Very light and very pretty… I’m prone to headache/migraine and there are a lot of fragrances I just can’t handle glad to say I havent experienced that with the Cleans.
There used to be a perfume called moon-something or something-moon that smelled like this years ago, that I’d looked and looked and never been able to find again; so glad I decided to try this.

This, and the entire line of CLEAN fragrances, were not meant to be like “traditional” perfumes. So once you shed that expectation, the easier it will be to understand and appreciate this fragrance.
“Traditional” perfumes, along with a person’s body chemistry, adds a special olfactory quality, a certain character or pizzazz if you will, that accentuates the wearer. What this fragrance does is that it very subtlely accentuates a clean, fresh smelling person. Sometimes, (and daily for some people) that is all that is wanted. In other words, to smell good, clean, and fresh, but not necessarily perfumed with an olfactory artwork that makes a bold statement.
You know how when you just get out the shower, the scent left on your skin by the shower gel that you used? Sometimes you might want to keep that scent all day. Some people want that every day. Well, this prolongs that subtle, fresh smell on your skin and can be freshened through out the day.
This fragrance is loaded with musk. If by chance you think the fragrance is gone within an hour, you most probably are anosmic to the musk in this fragrance and that’s not an uncommon occurrence. Perfumers will often use more than one musk in hopes that you’ll catch a whiff of at least one of them. Other people can smell it though and if you’re someone that wears musk very well, you will get a lot of compliments. Some people will even find this fragrance extremely sexy!
To describe the smell I would say it’s like a grown up (sexier) version of Love’s Baby Soft. Although they don’t smell exactly alike (Love’s contains a noticable lavender note, Skin doesn’t), they are in that same vein of a fresh smelling fragrance (I think because of the musk component as well as flower notes in common). One reviewer even said that the smell of this reminded her of the girls she went to elementary school with. I bet they were wearing Love’s Baby Soft.
It’s a definite keeper in my fragrance wardrobe that can be worn all year long and its longevity is about 6-8 hours.

    Omg, this perfume… So incredible.
First of all, after testing it for the 12323 (or something) time, I noticed how long it has lasted. It’s been around 6 hours now since I sprayed it on my arm and I can still feel the beautiful mixture of… Beauty, haha.
It’s the perfect mix of musk and flowers, both notes are equally gentle and soft which makes the whole fragrance very light. I don’t know how it is on other’s skin but I love it on mine & I imagine it being just as nice on others because it’s just a gorgeous fragrance.
Everything about this perfume is so well-composed. From the bottle’s colour to the name… A perfect match. Right now I feel that this fragrance is as near perfection as it possibly could be & I wouldn’t change anything about it. I truly appreciate it.

This scent works well with the chemistry of my skin. I tried to layer it with Clean Air and these two scents work really good on me. A very good option on a hot summer day. Or after a shower on a warm summer night or before bed time.

I saw a bottle on sale in the local store and bought it after sniffing, because i liked the price and how musky it smelled. Mistake. After coming home i realized it reminds me of Bvlgari Crystalline edt which i already had and swapped away because it was too aquatic and had the wrong type musk to me. Well i never learn, i just too impatient when i find something I think i may love. Clean Skin is more powdery than Crystalline edt, but otherwise very similar.
This is musky shower fresh clean fragrance. It doesn’t smell skin to me, it rather resembles freshly showered skin smell, including the smell of a shower gel on ones skin, this is what marketing makes us to think «shower fresh skin», including aquatic, lotus and green tea notes.
I do like the musk here, it is just that it is not exactly «my» type of musk. I think it is hard to find a good musk fragrance. Most of what described as musk, often smells to me as soap, shampoo or laundry detergent, i just don’t see a point having a fragrance that smells these things. Musk in Clean Skin is a kind of skin musk type. While it is still not perfect musk for me, it is much better that many white musks out there. I can see it being cozy or even sexy on a right person. I hear everybody who says this fragrance is sexy. It is, not in a NR line kind of way, but in a subtle way.
I smell also flowery notes there, most likely lotus, a bit of rose. also powdery notes.
lasts very good on me, i took a light shower yesterday after about 3 hours of application, and still could smell the perfume few hours later. Linear development though.
I am not going to use it very often, while it is nice fragrance, it lacks personality and it is generally not «me». I am going to keep it for a while, to see maybe i will like it more. or maybe will use it for layering and see how it works in combination with others.
I see it as very «safe» for office, healthcare workers, or generally in places when you suppose not to wear any fragrance but still want to, this one can easily pass as body care/shower product smell and nobody will ever assume you wear a fragrance.
Recommend to try to all who likes simple, clean, shower fresh fragrances, also who likes to keep sillage to minimum.
EDIT: a year later: i actually ended up using this one a lot more than i initially thought i would. great fragrance for summer days, when i do not want anything sweet or floral. this is pretty simple musk, with just a touch of floral blend and suits me well. lasts very long actually, some days i could smell it after 8 hours.

This kind of smells like the classic blue/white Dove shower creme. White musky and soapy. Perhaps a bit green tea?
There is an unfortunate cigarett smell also. Not good.

  37. :

This is a very pretty perfume but I find it doesn’t last very long as with most of this brand’s scents unfortunately. This is just musk and flowers. I can’t even identify which flowers, they are so mixed.
It’s soft flowers though; maybe white. It starts off very flowery and dries down to a nice mix of both. It will last about 3 hours before it just vanishes.

  38. :

I find it linear in the beginning but as it settles on my skin, I just can’t stop sniffing!! To my nose, the drydown is like a watered-down version of white cherry blossom from BBW which I adore. Sits close to the skin and i looove how CLEAN perfumes perform so well with my body chemistry especially during hot weather. It’s almost 40deg in my country but despite everyone bathing in their own sweats, I stay cool and calm as couple of colleagues commended “it’s damn soo irritating hot but you smell so fresh and CLEAN” ..Simply puts a smile on my face 🙂

Recently purchased a bottle of this & it’s a nice scent but not my favorite. It reminds me very much of Victoria’s Secret Body by Victoria (the original one). I wore that scent for several years & went through several bottles before, I got tired of it. It was a blind buy so I didn’t know what it smelled like prior to purchasing. It was a fairly reasonably priced perfume, $38.00 for a 1 oz bottle. Nice scent, but not my favorite.

Bought a very overpriced mini ½ oz, perfect for the smallest handbag. I like to keep something easy and subtle through the day and this is really perfect for that. Have used Cleans Ultimate and White Woods for the same purpose but this is better, not exactly big in personality but layers well, smells really good and creamy and reboosts whatever I sprayed on in the morning without upsetting sensitive noses around me. DarlingNikki here below describes the smell really well, I think. I normally go for big bold woodsy scents so this is waaaaay too light but still, handbag worthy ^^

Does this smell like any of Philosophy’s fragrances?

  42. :

A former co-worker wore this and I loved how it smelled on her, but I seem to always have the misfortune of scents I like on other people being huge disappointments on my skin. I just got my sample of this and, hoping for the best, applied a little to my wrist and waited a moment for any alcohol to evaporate. I took a hesitant sniff and well, I think I might have found my holy grail signature scent! This stuff smells AMAZING and I’m shocked! I’m smelling a well-balanced blend of flowers, gentle musk and something ‘dewy’ in the very beginning that makes this scent quite sexy. After sampling several new scents over the last couple of weeks and coming away disappointed, I’m happy to say that this one is a winner for me!

  43. :

    4 out of 5

Soft, clean (ha), and powdery, this is so inoffensive and pretty. This is not really my typical scent (I am drawn to big white florals), but sometimes, you just want to smell nice and low key. This is it.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

This was a blind buy for me, but I wasn’t disappointed. I wanted a fresh skin scent and this delivers. It starts with a burst of clean aquatic freshness, which lasts quite a while for top notes. There is also a salty tang that reminds me of skin. It mellows down to a very light clean musk.
Clean Skin is really subtle. It’s basically a fragrance meant to enhance your own scent and impart a sense of freshness and cleanliness. The sillage is very intimate. It’s good for people who like quiet fragrances. But please don’t over apply in an effort to make it a bolder fragrance. That just makes it smell cheap. Two or three sprays is enough. If you want to wear a bolder fragrance, it’s better and easier just to pick a bolder fragrance.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

Well it isn’t pretending to be anything else than a skin scent, and there are lovers of soft skin scents out there!! So in its class, I like it, it smells good, it smells fresh..it is a soft musky floral, for people who are sensitive to strong stuff, this is a nice option, or while traveling on a plane, I like it when I want something nice and light!!
    Lovely

This is probably one of my favorite scents, if not my favorite, of my LIFE. And I’m very very picky. It’s a beautiful, muted scent that doesn’t smell like you’re really wearing perfume. It just smells like you smell good. It’s not overpowering, so it’d be great for someone that works in a close environment with other people. It’s light but not airy, it’s sexy but doesn’t insist upon itself. Very lightly flowery, musky. Nothing overly confusing for the senses or overpowering. This is a good one for people that don’t like perfume. I’ve gone through 3 bottles and the only reason I haven’t bought another is because it’s so expensive and it just doesn’t last. Makes me so sad. But I’ll buy it again, for sure.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

I enjoy Clean Skin for days when I want to smell nice and clean/fresh yet not really smell like perfume. For me, this definitely has a place. I find it comes off as a sweet clean scent that just smells fresh. It’s nice. Sometimes that’s all I want. It doesn’t have a lot of sillage or longevity. So I find I have to spray it several times and like keeping the rollerball with me. If I run out I probably will repurchase.

  48. :

This is weird. It pretty much smells like a shower. It’s super light, and I think that in the summer it might be a bit more successful. Didn’t last super long either.

  49. :

    5 out of 5

I really liked it at first, but after about 20 minutes it just became too musky and lost the hint of floral. So it turned a little too “unisex” on me with my skin chemistry.
I do like that Clean makes scents that are…well, cleaner smelling since that seems to not bother my allergies as much (I can get hives and also the sinus issues from perfume) so if that is a problem for you, this could be a good perfume or line to look into.

  50. :

People spend money on this? It smells like watery flowery baby wash and vanishes within minutes of putting it on. This is a good example of a great marketing campaign.

  51. :

    3 out of 5

Clean Skin smells like a high-end baby wash. I have to laugh at the notes claimed on the Clean webpage as I can’t detect any hint of rose, much less blue rose, or dewy petals. What I get is a nondescript soft floral with musk, very much like a minimalist Jovan White Musk. It is a funny perfume in that you think it has worn off, but other people tell you how good you smell. Also, it must taste good as my dog tries to lick it off my wrist every single time I wear it. I suspect that is the alpha-isomethyl ionone which is used to impart a fruity flavor in food.
Clean Skin is a scent to use when you want to smell good, but not like you are wearing perfume. I can’t imagine spending $68 on a full bottle. The entire Clean range of perfumes is what rollerballs are made for.

This was kind of nice and inoffensive and pleasant when I tried it on, but after a few minutes it started to smell artificial and boring. A disappointment.

I’ve completely given up on Clean and its dubious flankers. It is sad because I’ll never forget the first time I smelled Clean or Clean Sweet Layer. I was so enamored.
Everything since has been vaguely reminiscent of pond scum and toilet water. It’s like they don’t have anyone doing R&D.
If you’re from Clean and you’re reading this, please find a way to pull it back and make it right.

Watery something. It was hard to discern what’s in it. Either way, it vanished almost immediately after leaving the perfume counter.

Lovely! It does smell like ‘clean skin’… wearing a modest amount of only the *best part* of EL’s Pleasures. So, a perfectly clean, warm round, soft skin musk, with a puff of airy peony breezing over the top of it through an open window with white, gauzy curtains… and maybe a *touch* of LOTV for the “clean” factor, but absolutely nothing screechy or sharp. Just soft, serene breezes over warm, clean… skin. Delicious.
Must add: Sillage is just as you would want it to be in a scent like this: moderate. A person you hug will get a nice surprise. Longevity, for me, has been great… a couple of hours, so far, with no fade.

Yea, no! Unless you want to smell like a public restroom freshener–don’t buy this. I wouldn’t even use this as a room spray because of the super sharp musk note. The $60 price tag does not justify the ubiquitous notes of “flowers” and “musk” nor the 20-minute lasting-power.

I absolutely love how simple and fresh this smells! This will become a go-to if I want to smell clean and light. It has a subtle soapy-floral scent that I adore. Perry Ellis Reserve for Women is my signature but if I ever want to change it up and still have that just out of the shower scent, Clean will be what I reach for. Can’t wait to own a bottle!

To me this smelled exactly like a white musk scent – like Jovan. It’s not as soapy as TBS white musk, more warmth, very subtle. I like it, but I wouldn’t spend the money for a Clean brand fragrance when I can get the same feeling from a drugstore fragrance with the same results.

I found a rollerball of this lying around my younger sister’s apartment this weekend. I love a few of the other CLEAN scents, but couldn’t imagine what more could be done with these fragrances after ORIGINAL CLEAN…SHOWER FRESH…WARM COTTON etc. And just after glazing over MORE additions to the CLEAN fragrance collection in Sephora I thought to myself…”Okay CLEAN Fragrances…ENOUGH ALREADY!!!” but of course like many times before I was completely wrong. After my initial pre-application sniff of CLEAN Skin..I thought…”meh..” then…”yuk”. Not sure why I decided to actually apply it after being so bored by just smelling it…but MY OH MY it was good…in a simple and clean sort of way. It reminds me of all the girls who attended my elementary school, and always smelled like sweet flowers, but who despite my efforts to mimic their smell, always escaped me well into adulthood…until now. To put it simply…CLEAN Skin smells…well…like a GOOD-SMELLING PERSON! LOL! (Which I’m sure was the fragrance companies’ exact goal.) A close-to-the-skin blend of musk, florals, and vanilla, which took about 5 minutes to blend with my body chemistry. And once the fragrance and my body chemistry mingled, lasted well over 12 hours. I think I’ll go for a rollerball of this scent. While I think it’s a cute fragrance, I don’t feel that it’s worth the $68 for a full bottle which will probably spoil before I get a chance to finish it. The best part of the fragrance, is the unexpected visits from my sweet smelling elementary school friends who’s names I have long forgotten…but who I will never forget how pretty they smelled, whenever I move!
