Share:

Description

The idea of the fragrance is “be-yourself”. Transparent, silky and very sexy.
A fresh woody fragrance unisex with a fresh opening of bergamot, mandarin, juniper, lavender, peppermint and green notes. In the heart of the composition is jasmine, orchid, freesia, magnolia with a fresh hint of peach. There are cedar, amber, musk, sandal and vanilla in the base.
The perfume was created by Ann Gottlieb 1996.

Two popular fragrances CK One and CK Be by the house of Calvin Klein were introduced in 2009 as limited edition in a special and very interesting collection called WE ARE ONE.

The theme of this collection is equality and emancipation. The message is We are one and design is adapted to the theme with the message which is inscribed on the bottles in different languages of the world. Besides clean, simple lines and minimalist design, new, limited editions turn to technological innovations and gadgets which are provided to users of various technological options in one product they choose for themselves. CK One and CK Be collections We are one are packed in see-through outer packages which have a soundbox in their base and it is compatible with MP3 format. It suggests that music knows no language barrier and it transmits clear feelings, no matter which language you speak. Speaker is placed on the front side of outer package.

CK Be We Are One edition comes in 100ml EDT bottle. The nose behind this fragrance is Rene Morgenthaler.

Poor performance on my skin with less than an hour. An isoprophyl alochol smells better than this 🙂

The same goes for the ck one I do at Ck Be. Historical fragrance, juvenile / adolescent. A breath of freshness, purity, freedom but alas the persistence rejects this fragrance. Despite everything, it is a good fragrance.

I think that this fragrance is a great unisex perfume, although it smells kind of sweet on my skin. It smells different on my dad though, so I think that it can be more feminine or masculine depends on the wearer’s body chemistry.
The opening is quite masculine and sporty, with the juniper, peppermint and citrus notes. However, the fragrance gets sweeter as the heart notes begin to appear. I’m pleased to find out that the heart note is filled with sweet florals, but I can’t really smell the peach notes. The dry-down is very sexy and beautiful, with warm sandalwood, vanilla and woody notes.
This fragrance is a light and clean fragrance (with a few soapy feels to it). The sillage is quite weak and the longevity is not impressive either, but it is normal considering this perfumes price. You can also re-apply freely throughout the day because of it. I personally think that this perfume would make a nice everyday fragrance.

I like the fact that it doesn’t shout too much. It’s rather reserved yet pleasant and relaxing due to the lavender note. If CK One were Honda Civic, this would be Corolla Altis.

This is the only CK I’d actually wear. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last a bit. Shame.

smells cheap and generic with very weak longevity

Smelled this from a “cheeky spray” to the crook of the arm, found it in the bathroom cupboard of an apartment inhabited by three college guys. I remember thinking it was somewhere between Burberry London (men) and CK One. Very nice, I’d wear it. Who knows for how long it has been sitting in there though.

Great unisex perfume! Just spray a bit more en i get great longevity. Sillage could be better, but i love the smell! Absolutly not to femenine, havent had a perfume that smells close to this. Love it! Also very cheap, 200ml for 20 euro 🙂

i sprayed it on myself, my wife and my 4 years old son, i sniffed at a distance of 30cm…nope nothing. I prefer ck one, at least i can sense it sometimes but this one stays very close to skin

okay, let me tell you something… as a young woman, this is the most attractive scent i’ve ever smelled on a man. and i can’t even imagine an essence smells more seductive than this. yeah, i definetely agree that it’s unisex but somehow if it’s on the right guy, it’s even more masculine. i sprayed that on a book cover of mine, when i desire that guy i just smell it up and bang, conjuring dreams.

  11. :

I wore this for a short while about 8 years ago.
I didn’t really like it, but I was young and couldn’t afford much.
I found it to smell like washing up liquid initially and could only wear a couple of sprays at once otherwise it gave me a headache.
It does, however, dry down to a fairly pleasant lavender/woody scent which is the premise on which I bought a 50ml bottle.
It isn’t as feminine as some are saying, definitely unisex.
A scent for a young person (yoof).
As many have said, it does/did not last long enough. I remember having to spray a few times in the day. Probably lasted an hour tops.

  12. :

    4 out of 5

The opening is so typically masculine — musk, sandalwood, citrus –, that I was surprised that this is advertised as a unisex fragrance. The drydown, however, is just beautiful. After a few minutes, the lavender rises to the surface in such a complicated and sophisticated form that it puts most lavender soaps, oils, etc. to shame. Unfortunately, it does not last long on my skin and, after about an hour, all that is left is a faint musky odour.

  13. :

    4 out of 5

I personally find it very unisex.
The soapy-mossy composition that is wearable and easy-going (much easier than Clean Simply soap, for example). Lavender and green notes that are blended with earthy undertones. I like CK be as much as CK One, and both deserve our attention.
As many mentioned, longevity is a bit low, but at the price, you can just re-apply without the risk of cloyeing your collegues.
A great scent for 16-40 years old males/females.

Wanginya lembut, floral tapi bukan yang nyengat. Sayang longevity dan projectnya kurang nendang.

  15. :

I’d recommend Versace Blue Jeans as a substitute, they’re not identical but definitely in the same ballpark and the longevity is great.

Smell does not matter at all!!!!! It has NO LASTING POWER. It is like tossing ur money in the trash a

  17. :

    3 out of 5

    It smells perfectly nice.
The bottle is beautiful and goes through a special process to create that soft touch feel. No it doesn’t last-hence the price.
    I guess that’s why it’s 200ml??
    To spray alot maybe.

    Smell: 10/10

What a shame. I really love the smell so much though. Please have this one reformulated!

  19. :

Very disappointing as it’s nothing special. Worst yet has no longevity whatsoever or for that matter no silage either. A real waste of money!

One of my favorite freshly showered soapy scents up there along with, Salvatore Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale Colonia, Krizia Time, KC Mankind Hero, Tommy T, KenzoPH, Monseur Givenchy..etc,
Nice wafts after 8-12 hours. So decent longevity off a spray or 2 on each arm and chest.
    9/10
    PS
I’m instantly reminded of Body Shop Cotton Blossom in retrospect. No fem doubts wearing this. On myself it simply smells of clean laundry or being freshly showered but not nec clean shaven, to paint a picture. However on a female co-worker, who happens to be a hot petite asian babe, this made her smell delicicious with her looks and how she “kept herself up”. And on a final note, on females this evokes a sensual feeling that she is clean shaven and pristine “down there” ready for boom-boom;)

Unisex cologne? Ummm…not! I don’t think this would smell good on the ladies.
The scent is very masculine with the lavender, musk, cedar and sandalwood notes that are very noticeable and manly.
I could smell a little peach, vanilla and amber during the weak drydown which smells really well along with some green notes.
There is nothing about this cologne that says “unisex”.
I like the smell ok but its not my favorite and it does not last very long.
If you want to smell like a man, you won’t go wrong here.
    Scent: 7/10
    Longevity: 4/10
    Sillage: 5/10

I got a 6.8oz bottle of this for Christmas for my uncle, and I’m sure his nostalgia for the 90s prompted this purchase on his part. It’s a lovely scent, but just like this review, it’s short.
That’s it. It lasts 20 minutes before fading off of skin, no matter how many times I spray. It is a very pleasing scent though, soapy, and sandalwoody, but you can’t even explore the scent because of its terrible longevity.
    Scent 7/10
    Longevity 1/10
Overall an abysmal experience because it can’t really be used anywhere except maybe to bed as a lullaby.

  23. :

    4 out of 5

After the first spray I couldn’t believe this was marked as unisex. To me it was totally masculine as there was a strong punch of juniper and sandalwood.
The drydown milds the fragrance a bit with musk and a bit of lavender. It’s really woodsy and althought I like such notes, this one wouldn’t win me over.
    Certainly summer or spring suitable.

  24. :

I always preferred Be over One, and I used to own both back in the day. Unfortunately I had the exact same issue as most seem to have experienced, because as beautiful as the scent itself was, it was always a fleeting moment you get to enjoy it. I actually remember thinking 15 years ago what a shame it was that it disappeared so quickly.
Well, in any case, a very good and nostalgic scent, maybe I’ll get a bottle to enjoy at home 🙂

  25. :

    3 out of 5

Such an amazing, clean scent there’s a really nice lavender smell off it but the problem is its longevity. It lasts only 2-3 hours max
    Scent = 9/10
    Longevity = meh
All in all if it’s on special for really cheap I’d grab it and also make sure it’s a 200 ml bottle because you’ll be respraying a lot

  26. :

    5 out of 5

This would be an okay freshie for the gym or something casual but it lasts about 8 minutes on me before 98% disappearing.

  27. :

    4 out of 5

I must say this is one of the worst flakers on the market! It smell’s like washing detergent and cannot be compared to the original CK One as this does not resembles the original. Do not waste your money on this cheap flanker!

  28. :

    5 out of 5

This is not as nice as CK One by a long shot and both hardly last at all. I do like it just not a lot and it’s like you can only smell it when you are putting it on then it disappears. It’s also IDENTICAL to Elizabeth Ardern Green Tea LAVENDER. So if you want the exact same thing for a lot less you might as well buy Green Tea Lavender. Can someone add Green Tea Lavender to the scents this is like since I can’t seem to add it. The site is not letting me.

  29. :

    3 out of 5

If CK one had a darker, older sibling, this is it. CK Be is a pretty well rounded scent to me; earthy, mossy, rich and dark with a spiciness to it that adds to the green earthy richness. I get mainly spicy, green, slight woodiness and then it totally blanks out and I am left with soapy generic aftermath.
My main complaint, as with most CK fragrances, is that the performance of this stuff is pitiful. You’d have to baptize yourself in it to get it to stick around and to be truly noticeable and appreciated. I remember wearing a CK be lotion in high school and that had much more longevity and power than the EDT I have tucked away which is always odd to me.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

It was created 21 years ago and I’ve just discovered this beauty. I bought Obsessed for myself and found out that CK be is similar.
Yes indeed it is very similar but I find it bit better than Obsessed because it is not that sweet. Fresh crisp intruiging. For me very sexy

  31. :

    4 out of 5

This would be the greatest fragrance known to man IF its longevity was somehow longer than that of a match on fire. And no amount of sprays will ever break the curse.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

This is the scent of my brother when I was in college – clean and fresh, but very 90s. I love it but can’t smell it without remembering watching Charmed and Buffy with him. Definitely too masculine for my taste, but a woman could wear this easily enough. Very nice.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

In terms of the actual scent, this is a worthy flanker to CK One, and it’s more on the masculine side (i.e. more woody, less citrus-y.)
But while I love CK One, I only “like” CK Be. Longevity is weak and sillage is subdued, which is a pity because this really smells good. Invest in a 200 ml bottle. You’ll find yourself wearing this very often if you like a very agreeable everyday fragrance.
(PS: Sorry for the double post. I got logged out when I was submitting this same thing.)

This is REM’s Automatic For The People in the cassette player of my beat-up Honda Civic, the window rolled down halfway, a Nat Sherman Hint of Mint burning in my left hand, driving aimlessly through a canyon on a Tuesday night in October 1996. The nostalgia is almost overwhelming.

  35. :

I think CKbe smells great all year, but it really shines in the Fall. To me it has always had a Fall into Winter vibe.

This perfume was a blind buy for me but I still did it since I liked the reviews and notes it has. At first, it feels more like a men’s perfume but after a little bit it changes and it’s more delicate. It does remind me of clean clothes. It’s a fragrance that’s easy to wear, I can see how both women and men could wear it. It last quite a bit too and I can smell it on myself if I move even tho I sprayed only one or two puffs.
So mostly, it gives me the feeling of a refreshing summer afternoon, clean laundry, calmness haha.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

My first fragrance from the house of Calvin Klein and in my opinion, this one is so much better than CK One which I don’t like at all.
It’s very inoffensive, soft, gentle, light musky floral. Initially I got lavender with other flowers that smells clean, detergent clean. Then when it dries down I mainly smell a mix of sweet mandarin, lavender and white musk. There’s something that reminds me of violet but I don’t see it listed as a note. If put this scent into a colour I’d say it’s like lilac. The scent itself does have a 90’s time stamp on it but that doesn’t stop people liking it.
    Really like the bottle, too.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

If CK would consider to make this one better in both longevity and sillage it would be great. I do love its scent and how it developed. It has a rich and deep on its own but the longevity and sillage are unacceptable.

  39. :

CKbe always has wonderful memories associated with it for me and feels like the perfect scent to wear for the once in a lifetime eclipse today. I hope everyone has a great viewing experience.

  40. :

    3 out of 5

I tested this recently and it was so watered down! It wasn’t at all how I remembered. I used to wear this all the time when I was a kid. It was much deeper and fuller. Now it’s like a body mist.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

This was a happy accident for me. I stumbled upon it when a man at a pharmacy helped me find something not too floral or sweet. He tried me on Ck one and I crumpled my nose, but this quickly became a staple on my dresser. So clean, fresh, aromatic. Like a shower on a hot day. It gathers compliments. Doesn’t last terribly long and becomes a skin scent after 4 hrs, but at the price point I can’t fault it. I love this and hope it will always be around. Bonus is that it doesn’t affect my sinuses and has never caused me a headache!

  42. :

    3 out of 5

90’s goodness! It’s hard not to be transported back to the 90’s and my twenties when spraying on this juice. Like CKone, I can’t imagine ever being without a bottle of CKbe. I feel it is still a great scent for anyone of any age to wear in 2017 and would recommend getting a bottle.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

I’m a woman and I do love unisex perfumes. Love the combination of notes in them and the fact that they are shared. Something very personal and even romantic about it. BUT this one is 100% man’s cologne. It’s very strong and spicy. I’d dig this scent on a masculine man. This smell think fancy cowboy. There isn’t anything shared or unisex about it. Even the bottle is more on the masculine side. I just think it’s totally unsuitable for any feminine woman. If a woman wears this I think those around will assume. She is wearing nice man’s cologne. Or was a little to close to someone. Not a good smell or image to put out there.

GRAF suggested it on one of my posts. Thank you man.

So fresh, smells almost like soap.
I am 16 and work at Burger King, one day after work, I decided to bring this in my bag, and wore it after I finished my shift and as I was walking out I received compliments from the manager, the workers and even customers.
Can’t imagine wearing this during colder weather, definitely a summer or spring fragrance while the sun is out.
It’s counterpart, Calvin Klein One, is a lot more citrusy.
    Sillage 6/10
    Longevity 6/10
    Smell 7/10
    Overall 8/10
Would I recommend it ? Yes to casual fragrance seekers, no to passionate fragrance seekers.
Despite the fact that I like the scent, it’s very basic, and should only be worn by those who don’t care about how they smell, they just want to smell good.
-This was also a blind buy, Calvin Klein One was not, I had a 1ml sample of it before I bought it, I bought this one because of a recommendation.

  46. :

First and only unisex fragrance I own. I do like it, but I think it would be absolutely sexy on a woman. Soapy, floral very little. Very light which is not a bad thing cause You want to smell good to those close to you. I bought a bottle for the nostalgia. Still think it smells more sexy on a woman.

  47. :

    5 out of 5

I found a bottle of 200 ml in very low price and I tried it. I wasn’t expecting such a nice smell. It was love at first sniff so I bought it. Its performance was a pleasant surprise for me as it lasts 5-5.5 hours on my skin. But most of the time stays very close to skin. It’s not a cheap synthetic smell like many low priced scents such as Al Rehab, Armaf etc. CK knows about affordable and quality stuff. It’s a velvety smooth and clean, musky and powdery, fresh with great versatility, light floral scent. Beautiful for spring and summer, a nice and calm day time scent. Totally unisex I love it.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

I treat my CK Be and One, so bad. Both are easy to use and I keep buying it although I barely wear it myself. I use it on my bed sheets, pillows and blankets, Yes…..I waste it as a room spray and it’s great to do so.
It smells pleasant, fresh and soapy and both are good unisex fragrances, just too clean and nice on me.
But with the nice bottle, super low prices and good smell I will always buy a new bottle once it’s empty.

  49. :

My guilty pleasure. My mother absolutely loathes it as she finds it too sweet (a judgement she has also reserved for Penhaligon’s Sartorial). It lasts ages on my skin and smells clean and crisp. The perfect scent for spring.

  50. :

    3 out of 5

On my skin this comes across as a very clean, white variety of musk reminiscent of neroli, orange blossom, and lily-of-the-valley; a laundry fresh, white floral scent with soft citrus notes hovering directly over the male/female unisex divide. There’s just a touch of spearmint hidden among the musk that lends a nice, albeit subtle accent to the composition. I kind of wish I discovered this before I plunked down $150 for MFK’s Aqua Universalis, as I find them quite similar as far as their immediate effect (Gendarme as well). While there’s no doubt Aqua Universalis feels a notch or two higher, quality wise, the smells are similar enough, and the quality of CK be is certainly sufficient to perform the task at hand–in this case, simply, to create a clean, just-laundered impression among its subject. Be nails it almost effortlessly here and what you’re left with is an excellent budget alternative within the ‘freshly showered’ genre. Thumbs up, and absolutely worth the $20 if you’re in the market for this kind of fragrance.

  51. :

    5 out of 5

I’m just trying CK Be now, 20 years after its introduction. I like, but don’t love it. I like it much more than its relative CK One.
It’s interesting that at different times and different stages of development this smells like a completely different fragrance to me. Sometimes it has this mellow, very soft vanilla vibe and actually reminds me a bit of Bvlgari Black. Other times it smells more soapy and fresh with a floral, neroli-like scent.
Longevity is actually pretty good for me though it doesn’t project that much. I get whiffs of it from time to time. An appropriate light office scent I believe.

CK be Calvin Klein for women and men is a really good one from Calvin Kline the lavender , vanilla ,cedar, amber, musk, sandalwood in the base , it’s just works great in the winter on my skin .
The truth is I always consider Calvin Kline fragrances are cheap but sometimes it comes out a real good ones like the lagand eternity .
P.S. thank God it was the 200 ml but I always thought when I wore it ,it’s more for men than women.

  53. :

Now this is light years better than ck one! It’s a fresh soapy powdery masculine smell without the 70yo notes that ck one has. As far as soapy colognes go, This is by far the best I have smelled. A lot more sublte and nicer than your gendarme gendarmes, bvlgari pour homme, versace dreamer, this beats them all imo. Simple, natural soap smell for every day use. Only issue I have with it is the longevity, but if you are after a soapy cologne for every day use, this is it, just re apply through the day, not too much though 🙂

  54. :

    4 out of 5

CK Be was my first perfume love, the first I bought with my diligently saved money when I was only 14, and therefore worthy of being my first fragrantica review. The way I feel about it now is different from back then, naturally much less effusive, but I still find it a beautiful and unique perfume that shall always have a presence in my wardrobe.
It’s light and fluffy, clean and soapy, easy-going and effortlessly appealing. It’s the one I go for when I can’t chose what else to wear or when I feel like “I don’t feel like wearing perfume today”. It’s ironic because I have the impression that it’s gone in 1 hour but it’s the one that often grants me unexpected compliments, more so than any of the other niche/high end/made with best quality raw materials/works of art perfumes I own. (not that compliments are the reason why I wear perfume, but it does feel good to get some once in a while 😉
A well crafted and opportune 90’s Classic.

I used this juice in the hype of the CK Era in Jr College. In 1996/97. A bubbly soapy scent. Gave me plenty of confidence.

  56. :

    4 out of 5

Simple, fresh, clean, safe, while still being pleasant, unique and not smelling of detergent, fabric softener, or any other household product. A staple for days when you need something low key. I’ve tried CK One, but find something in it very sharp, annoying and cloying even, plus it was so over-worn in the 90s, I hope I never smell it again.

  57. :

    4 out of 5

Haha, went into two perfumeries at the airport. In the first perfumery it was in the women’s section, in the second it was in the men’s section. Definitely unisex, very nice and pleasant, I will think some more about buying it. It’s certainly very low-key.

  58. :

    4 out of 5

Inoffensive. Whenever I was in hurry and could not make up my mind quick enough to decide what to wear, I would always turn to this. I agree, this smells like fresh laundry in the dry down.

  59. :

    5 out of 5

I love the citrusy smell first off but it settles down to hardly anything at all. As a matter of fact, I keep spraying it during the day because I just cannot smell it! Another perfume that just won’t last on me. I am tired of perfumes being so weak and fading away. Still, it was on special at the chemist. I bet people who paid more would be unhappy. I wouldn’t buy it again. I think I might stick to buying from Palermo Perfumes as they are affordable and much stronger even though they are copies of the real thing.

  60. :

    3 out of 5

Shudder. After the casual elegance of CK One, I was expecting this perfume to be a stunning cousin of the other. NOT. This hollow dud not only failed to make an impression on me, but steered me clear of more CK fragrances for good. Seriously. (And Kate Moss advertising it didn’t help in my eyes. The expression ‘bought into their own hype’ comes to mind.)

It’s been weeks since I got interested in CK Be from reading all the positive reviews it’s been getting here. I finally got to try it out the other day and boy was I shookt. Kidding aside, its initial smell upon spraying smells very synthetic (?) and It stays like that for about 30 mins. After that it will smell completely different. This time it smells soft and as they say, like fresh laundry. It atually reminds me of Johnsons baby active fresh bath soap lol.
    PS
I have learned that separating the atomizer had a purpose because this perfume totally has different effects/smell depending on application. I personally think splash is the way to go as it lasts longer and projects better.

Plush, clean skin-musk and lavender, almost like you just scrubbed with that “Dr. Bronner’s” lavender hemp soap and stepped out into the sunshine to dry but there’s still a brisk breeze blowing through. The lavender in “CKBe” is that sweet, maillette kind which — despite lavender being a typically masculine note in colognes — leans towards the feminine end of the note range.
Thankfully, a tart, linen and bergamot kick keeps this firmly in the unisex department. A soft base of woods and notes that come together to smell like dried grass to me (green grass note combined with sandalwood?), almost like hay, leaves its wearer with a “yoga room” beige, natural cotton vibe.
It’s a great choice for those who love lavender but tire of linear soliflores. This lavender is jazzed up with creamy musk and hay. A very pleasant, neutral professional scent.

Clean cotton. The two decades of this sucker’s existence is obviously a testament to some brilliance, but the two plus minutes of its longevity is a testament to something else. Shame, because I often have the desire to smell like a fresh, white towel.

The 2nd unisex fragrance I’ve owned. I purchased a bottle about 20 years ago (after my lovely introduction to CK One) and I think this is a really unique scent-STIIIIILL after all these years! So, that right there should be enough to say how special it is. After 20 years, I still haven’t smelt anything like it. I would buy a bottle of this again purely for nostalgic reasons…then again…maybe not-but I would NOT buy CK One. I’m sure it’s because ’til this day, I continue to smell CK One and its imposters on people. Non-ubiquitous is always best! ☺

It’s only a like and not a “love” because it is a bit too soft. There is a note that feels “wimpy” to it. With that said, I really do love it. It’s comfortable, easy to wear. I often wear it to work or when I get home to just relax. I can see it being a sexy “intimate” scent when you are going to cuddle with the one you love and watch a movie together. Overall, edgy, unisex, softly sexy. I like.

The ’90s spawned so many classic fresh scents – L’eau D’Issey, Acqua di Gio, CK One, Azzaro Chrome, Tommy. Love it or hate it, CK Be is surely among them.
Be combines laundry-fresh lavender with sweet florals, fresh green notes, mild spiciness and warm musk. Like its groundbreaking unisex predecessor, CK One, this is a fragrance that works across genders because no single note dominates. Its pleasantness is inoffensive, boring even. But that’s what makes it so wearable, even today. Among the current crop of sweet, clean scents, Be feels right at home.
The trade-off is that its performance is miserable. Be stays very close to the skin and, even with multiple sprays, it doesn’t last. I can see why this comes with the choice of a splash or sprayer cap – you’d need to splash a fair amount all over for this to last all day. To add insult to injury, the sprayer is pathetic. Rather than a decent mist, it releases a tiny puddle of juice. You have to spray this one close. It’s a good thing this is so inexpensive.
Despite its shortcomings and its ubiquity, Be deserves recognition as one of the great ’90s scents. It is so nostalgic and comforting. My partner loves to wear this, and I love smelling it on her when I hold her close. Clean, uplifting, fun – and as relevant today as it was 20 years ago.

I think this one smells a bit better in guys. On me it goes manly, like men’s deodorant. Love the scent p, but doesn’t work for me. Year ago I swapped a guy for his one and that bottle smelled a bit more fem. like a bit spices fresh warm. Not this latter bottle about 3years ago.
    EDIT
Now I’ve had my bottle for longer, it changes, it rounds off and is so much better I think. You know how ck one is more grabby with its opening, this one was like that a little, and it dried down a bit more manly than I remember it doing, NOW it’s doing what I always wanted it to.
We are talking several years here.
When you get this, put it in a cupboard for 5years! I wonder also, thee slightly masculine types are better in the summer, they don’t feel as manly perhaps. And the fruit bombs etc might smell better in the wonder…

I love the smell, i do! But it disappears almost immediately. And it’s not for lack of sprays. I can spray a dozen times on myself and 30 seconds later, almost nothing. 5 minutes later, absolutely nothing. A shame since I really loved that first 4 seconds we spent together. Shame. 🙁

This is a very old perfume yes i know. But today is the first time i try it, i mean i bought it, blind buy. And the only regret i had is WHY i didn’t have it since long ago.. This is such a beautiful scent, very clean, very Lavender, love it! I can use it for every occasion, at work, at evening after taking shower, or use it to a party. Now i understand why this perfume not being discontinued by the house, because this is divine.

Prehaps it doesn’t go well with my skin chemistry ;( I had a really high expectation as it has a lot of notes I like. But when I was using it, I felt really nothing, it was as if I used body balm, not a perfume

I’ve always liked this fragrance since I was given a miniature bottle as a present. Today I blind bought a 200ml bottle too see if it was a good as I remember, and it did not disappoint. It’s soapy yet pleasant, with strong floral notes and woody undertones. It’s sweet yet not cloying. It is strong, more like a parfum than an edt, and it lasts a moderate amount of time on my skin, but gives off very little sillage after a couple of hours and generally is more of a skin scent. It’s not as musky and masculine as my current favourite John Varvatos, but it is not feminine either. It is a great unisex scent, and a nice, inoffensive every day aftershave. I like it a lot.

UPDATE 4/3/16-I never realised before how much of a beast this is on clothes! I swear it must have been 5-7 days ago when I last sprayed it on the t-shirt I sleep in, and I can STILL smell it. And even after almost a week of being mixed with sweat and my other fragrances, it still smells the same. I think it helps that the 200ml bottle has the most powerful sprayer I’ve ever encountered on any fragrance bottle, but the longevity is still very impressive. Makes a change from the watered down crap we see too much of these days
UPDATE 21/3/2016- I learned a valuable lesson with this fragrance-never buy a 200ml bottle of a fragrance, no matter how cheap, unless you REALLY love it. Unfortunately, as much as I like CK Be, I don’t love it enough to use it often. It’s not interesting enough and very few situations warrant me wearing it. So once again CK Be finds its way out of my collection as I give my mostly-full bottle to my friend who does love the stuff. It will probably find its way back in at some point, but likely in the form of a 50ml bottle or even a miniature. Ah well, I suppose it wasn’t to “be”

A fresh soapy scent that has a slight masculine vibe in the top notes and dries down to an enjoyable clean green floral.

This year, ck be turns 20 years old, which is practically a century in perfume years. Surprisingly, ck be has aged nicely. Unlike the aquatics of the nineties, it doesn’t seem tied to any specific olfactory era and I think for me, that’s part of the appeal. For example, the men’s Acqua di Gio screams frat boy, circa 1997 and I can’t bear to be around anyone who wears it.
Although it’s probably been reformulated more than once since the ck brand switched hands from Unilever to Coty, the reformulation was respectful of the original. I don’t detect much change to the scent itself or its longevity. It was never a projection beast, so discussion about that is moot.
I’d describe it as a musk tonic; light but still substantial enough to be sensed if you’re standing close to the person wearing it. I get mostly a flash of bergamot + mandarin, soapy lavender, juniper, mint, peach, magnolia and musk.
All in all, a nice cheap thrill.

Saya hanyalah pria penikmat parfum, bukan ahlinya. Untuk saya Wangi parfum ini menyenangkan dan menenangkan. Tapi urusan longevity, saya sih menilai ini lemah, makanya kalau memakainya saya semprot banyak-banyak, toh isinya 200 ml.
