Description

The composition of the new edition Chrome United is spicy-woody, and was inspired by the pleasant time spent with friends, a strong bond of friendship and fun moments that make life more relaxing and enjoyable.

Top notes of Azzaro Chrome United refresh us with citrusy notes of bergamot, combined with spices (coriander and Szechuan pepper). At the heart lie intense notes of Ceylon black tea and violet leaf, resting on a base of woody notes of cedar and white musk. The fragrance is dedicated to hedonists, people who like socializing and having fun and enjoying the time spent with true friends … The composition is signed by perfumer Richard Ibanez.

Perfume Azzaro Chrome United arrives in a transparent, glass bottle as 50 ml and 100 ml EDT, and color of liquid selected for this edition is blue. Chrome United was launched in 2013.

Fresh, cool, sexy, and long-lasting. 9/10

This is an overly spicy, synthetic and generic scent for warm weather daytime. It burns my nose like many ambroxan bombs.
Dominant notes are harsh violet leaf, corriander and bergamot. Performance is moserate overall. Very fresh and very spicy for me.

A fresh and sporty scent, this is one for the casual, everyday use.

Chrome United is an extremely generic fresh aromatic. It comes off very synthetic at first, but it’s not just that—this is just a terribly under-blended fragrance above all else.
I get a lot of single Aldehydes represeting the main notes (bergamot, violet leaf, and especially coriander); without any resins, balsams, Ambroxan or Vanillin to sweeten them up. Thus you get a sour dry aroma, that vaugely presents itself as a cologne, but doesn’t do anything to provide for style, or lift your spirits as a cologne should do.
Easily comparable with Zara Man Blue Spirit and all other contemporaries that take these same simple chemicals and re-hash then over and over. Shameless cash grab I would say, but in the expected style of a house that builds a reputation on such formulas as this.
They might have been possibly suggesting that this formula just needs to be “re-united” with its other half, but I hardly think that even matters.

This chrome united remind me a lot of Armani code Colonia actually even performed better than Armani code Colonia. I blind bought this because at my local Burlingtons I got this because I am into fresh scents for summer with ozonic notes. Summer fregrances performe better in the fall for my skin. Non the less this is a great frag and highly recommend this to those who love freshies. The clasificación on this cologne is probably miss . categorize

If I said, that the Azzaro Chrome Legend maybe could be the summer version of Azzaro Pour Homme, this could be the fresher version of Chrome Legend. The top is the most common and boring bergamot, I couldn’t recognize any coriander or pepper notes. The mid note is more interesting with a good tea+violet leaf combination. The base is a strong musk with a touch of cedar. The whole composition is a little bit powdery-soapy-sour, not good, but not bad.
    – Spring/summer daytime scent
    – The sillage is very weak, longevity is around 5 hours
    – Safe blind buy
    Scent (open, top-mid): 6.5/10 (x2)
    Scent (drydown, base): 6.5/10 (x2)
    Sillage: 4.5/10
    Longevity: 5/10
    Uniqueness: 6.5/10
    Versatility: 6.5/10

Love this cologne. Metallic yet sweet scent. Great to wear with friends and makes you much more attractive. 10/10 you should buy this scent for it’s amazingly cheap price. Everybody will love it. I have not found a person that doesn’t like it.

My favourite of all the Chrome scents. Very underrated I think.

  10. :

Easily one of the best scents from the chrome line. The only problem is it does not project well and has no staying power. This is a close to the skin scent but a very pleasant subtle sweet scent.

This is very long lasting, I sprayed it on my pillow 2 days ago and i can still easily smell it even after spraying over it with givenchy. BLOWN AWAY.

I Have just finished my Bottle of Chrome United today, had it for the last two years after buying it at some pharm discount when it still was going for it’s original pricing. how much different it is of the Classic original Chrome… not that far, it is supposed to be more youthful and sporty, but Azzaro also has Chrome Sport and Chrome Legend versions, not to mention the summer chrome editions, which all together vary very little from each other, surely they don’t vary as the other Azzaro flanker line varies. it is still the same Bergamot driven spicy fresh mixture as the others are, the difference are quite minute. longevity is fine for a refreshing fragrance of it’s kind, around 5-7 hours in sweaty middle eastern summers. reading some comments here, it doesn’t remind me Gucci, actually what it reminds me are the other Chrome flankers, some in a good while some in bad days. as a tea gourmand i have to say that the black tea component is not impressive at all, sniffing teas is something i do commonly, perhaps it’s me, but i still try to understand it’s role in this mixture.
over all, it is a Chrome flanker without much character of it’s own. however it is nice and very practical and usable. Longevity is better than the current formulation of Azzaro Chrome, and it is indeed a nice wear for sunny summer days.

I recently bought this cologne at Ross in San Diego based on good reviews. I never buy cologne blindly. So I took a chance.
Thoughts – It immediately reminds me of Dior Homme 2014. It’s a sweet powdery scent. If you are into sweeter tone colognes this cologne is for you! I would recommend it as a evening scent for a date and dancing. Body heat would for sure bring out this cologne qualities.
    Pros.
    1.Sillage is good
    2. Longevity seems decent

Gorgeous scent. Might be my love for bergamot and spice. Not too musky, can be unisex I think. I’ve just given this away to a male friend and am now sitting here wishing I hadn’t. 😀

Chrome United is a really great smelling fragrance. Very underrated.
You can smell the tea, violet and bergamot. Though it is not listed, I also get cardamom, which seems to add a sensual edge to this one. It does remind one of Gucci Pour Homme II.
Longevity is great for me at 10+ hours with big projection at the beginning.
I get lots of compliments with United. People like the smell of this one. Best suited for spring and summer.

Great spring/summer time fragrance with a pronounced tea note. Versatile enough to wear to work or gym. Worth the $14 for 1oz in BS in my opinion.

    Updated review:
So my review has went from a like to a love for this fragrance!
This fragrance is a very fresh, slightly powdery, slightly green fragrance that’s very smooth as well as very relaxing. My girlfriend really likes this and to her nose she said because of the relaxing nature of this it really reminds her of the smell of crisp air in the fall when the leaves are on the ground. As odd as that sounds I do have to agree with her ! To me personally this reminds me of an aquatic scented fabric softener as this has a smell of fresh linens mixed some breezy, green aquatic notes.
The scent on this is great but my only knock on this is I do wish this performed a bit better. This lasts 6-8 hours but unfortunately it only projects average. If this projected a bit better I could see this being in my top 5 favorite colognes,
BUT … I do have to say this is 1 of my favorite smells
Also worth noting is that this is a good edition to the chrome line. All the other chromes are great for casual and sport settings but this is great for those settings as well but it also has a mature smell that can be used for professional and formal settings as well.
This is my own personal favorite from the chrome line with Chrome sport being my 2nd favorite.
    Overall rating 8 out of 10 !

Awesome stuff… reminds me so much of my favorite tea… Earl Grey.
Update: Probably one of the most satisfying “fresh green/floral” scents that I have blind bought. Really glad I have it. Earlier in my mind i made an association to Nautica Voyage… which I still think is relevant, but this is so much more refined.

So I received a sample of this with another purchase. Hideously synthetic. It smells like magazine paper and metal shavings–I have to assume this is the violet leaf. All other notes are forgettable. If you want to smell like you smeared a cheap cologne sample from a magazine ad on yourself without actually having to do the dirty business yourself, this is the scent for you!

Haven’t tried it yet but got a good deal 50 ml + Deo stick for 20$. Can be used for daily casual use.

  22. :

    3 out of 5

Kind of girly, from the top til the base. But i must admit that it doesn’t bother me. It’s really fresh and theres nothing from the original Chrome in this. Which is a good thing. I wore this today in 30 degree (celsius) heat and it is a warm weather frag for sure.

  23. :

    3 out of 5

VERY green, very nice smelling. Can’t speak for the longevity/projection, but it smells like sort of like sweet tea but a bit of bitterness from the violet leaf (not usually a fan of violet). Really nice, would definitely consider getting it in the future.
    Also, love the bottle.

  24. :

Just got this a couple days ago it’s a nice clean fresh scent soapy floral little musk little citrus and a little bit of the original chrome in it I sprayed one heavy spray to the back of my hand a few hours ago and it’s still noticeably here so my guess-stimation would be that this is at least a 5 to 6 hour or longer scent so that’s pretty good for a spring summer scent I like the chrome lineup so this is easy for me to like overall it’s a non-offensive scent I believe most people will like it it’s not a overbearing scent not too sweet or leathery or sharp with citrus it’s nice clean smooth fresh for nice warm weather I’ll give it a 7/10 and a like

  25. :

Today I got it, I will enjoy it on new year, I hope better results than Chrome original, I wish it.

  26. :

    4 out of 5

Another “good smelling” fragrance. Clean, light, balanced, and will probably never be annoying for anyone. Plus it doesn’t last.
You could buy this the same way you buy toothpaste, not more.
Absolutely no identity, like all the Chrome family scents.
    No art at all.

  27. :

    5 out of 5

This is a really nice scent. The problem for me is the longevity on my skin. I get less than two hours tops during the summer, maybe a little longer on my clothes. I enjoy the violet leaf in this. It’s unique. Unfortunately, I can’t rate it because the performance is terrible. In general I think Azzaro does tea and musk well. Cheers.

  28. :

I tested a sample of this fragrance and its just Amazing. I am just in love with this one. Very clean, subtle scent, perfectly suited for warm and humid climates. I am adding this to my wardrobe.

  29. :

This is such a fresh and easy fragrance to wear, lovely blend of tea and citrus. Very nice for work and day use, it is such a clean fragrance, fair longevity and sillage, like it.

  30. :

    4 out of 5

Not bad. Its fresh, soapy a little spicy.. a little green.. I don’t know.. seems like a generic type of scent that veers away from the citrus notes. Its more aquatic to me with a little spice and green notes. This seems to fall more in the nautica voyage category to me.

Released in 2013, this new fragrance came to enlarge the Chrome line. The Chrome Azzaro cologne was launched in 1996 in order to compete with CK One (from 1994) and its fragrance, which was a Champion of sales at the time. When Chrome came to market, comparisons were immediate. However, the creation of the House Azzaro won in projection and durability issues.
In this fragrance from 2013, the composition is simpler. It has notes of bergamot, coriander and Sichuan Pepper, in the Output. In the body, violet leaves and black tea from Ceylon. At the base, cedar and musk closes the olfactory pyramid.
The result is very nice! Chrome United is the kind of scent of comforting and fresh styles, without being too citrus or marine. Both the concept and the campaign show very well that: friends, fun, leisure, etc.
This Woody-spicy scent has a very synthetic output with alcohol content, when sprayed on the skin. It’s not very pleasant to spray and smell it, immediately. The Sichuan Pepper is quite aromatic. Is known for integrating the blend of spices called the Chinese Five-Spice Powder. The bergamot gives a fantastic balance and, despite being present at the top of the composition, remains projecting for more than an hour on the skin. The black tea has bitter nuances, but the violet leaves end up bringing a metallic and slightly sweet effect. Finally, the white musk plays the key role in the composition: it is almost creamy and slightly powdery. On some people, the soapy effect is more evident.
For fans of Prada Man or Bvlgari Blv, with their smooth and comfortable aroma, I nominate meet this cologne from the House Azzaro, because it follows the same style and has excellent duration. It is also a great option for use in professional environments, for example.
To finish, the bottle has straight lines and thick glass (I like a lot this type of bottle in men’s fragrances), in addition to bringing the standard “bus floor” at the bottom and at the top of the lid.

Smells nice, spicy, citrusy and little bit soapy, Very good for teenagers.
    Scent: 8/10
    Projection: 6/10
    Longevity: 7/10
Very recommended for summer, very nice scent, but very synthetic on the opening

It smells soap. I cannot smell anything else. A bit surprised. Also, I keep getting something “rotten” underneath.

  34. :

Smells like D&G pour Homme. Same quality for lower price.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

I tried it today and honestly not bad. It does not resemble the original chrome at all. I got sort of a baby lotion vibe at the begining? died down fairly quickly so the perfomance is not that strong but I would recommend for sure. The only thing is its not a cologne you wear “bummy” i would get dressed casual nice for this because its quality

  36. :

    4 out of 5

Got a sample and is wearing this for sometime now my impressions synthetic scent. I get that bleachy feel with this scent and feel like im at the laundry room everytime i wear it. It reminds me of liquid detergent i know its harsh but its just my opinion. It is for the young crowd. If you like nauticas blue or voyage this one is your style as for me no. If you are new in the fragrance game especially a summer scent this might be yours. If you want a sophisticated summery scents try guelains or diors.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

Fresh, spicy, aquatic daytime fragrance for just about any man. It’s quite pleasant but also blends with a large number of things on the market today (Versace Pour Homme, for example). It’s still very nice though!

  38. :

    4 out of 5

So i tried this one twice and the initial application for me was blue fresh aquatic awesomeness which I love. After 1 hr the dry down changes to a purple musk which I don’t care for at all. I want to by a similar colonge with the top notes only similar and somewhat linear like Nautica voyage.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

First impression: Aquatic, citric, soapy. I didn’t sense much of the wood. This has a musky, rich violet leaf, but it’s not so interesting.
Must agree with Marciu: This frag is almost cloyingly synthetic. I wish it had more green or something bright like lime or grapefruit to counteract it. It lasts a while (up to 7 hours on my chest), but first two hours can be headache inducing.
Occasion: After the gym, or casual outings. Could be offensive at the office. I wore it at a restaurant and hints of it would waft into my face. It’s pleasant to me 4 hours into it, but the opening is too strong for my preference.
Lasts long, sillage is good at first, it’s not special, but it IS synthetic.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

Bought this for my 17 year old son, having first weaned him off Ax (or “Douche” as my students call it). Most would consider this a boring citrus. I get a little bit of the tea note as well as citrus; this is a much less adept blend of notes than Bvlgari. It is pleasant and low key on skin. Difficult to overdo, which is important for a teenager. It does not draw attention to itself but is pleasant. He gets a lot of attention from girls anyway, but I think this is one more arrow in the quiver. Not essential to any collection, but jovens could do far worse.
    Scent: 4/10
    Sillage: 5/10
    Longevity: 5/10

  41. :

    3 out of 5

It has all the ingredients that I love in perfumes and it dissapointed me though…
To me this is a darker version of Chrome. You can feel this “metallic” vibe but denser. It might be a good choice for those who love Chrome and want to use it during colder days or at night-outs.
I dislike it, because it smells very synthetic. Like fragrances made by P&G – e.g. currrent Gucci’s releases. I can’t stand this synthetic vibe.
Sillage is medium, longevity is about good – 6 to 9 hours on my skin.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

This is horrible. The original is decent but on the tester paper, this thing smells like burnt eggs, which goes to show how cheap and synthetic this truly is.
    AVOID!

  43. :

    3 out of 5

I sampled this before a couple of days but i did not like it. If i had to choose between this one and original chrome i would choose the original with no doubt because i find it by far better.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

That’s t the first Chrome that disappointed me. I’m a fan of Chrome, I adore Chrome Legend and respect Chrome Sport, so I have been wainting for something special with Chrome United. What I get is an almost FULL copy of Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Male, maybe without animalistic note. I don’t like clones, and I already have Le Beau Male…

  45. :

    5 out of 5

For a contemporary designer release, this fragrance smells fantastic!! Azzaro NAILED IT with this release in every regard (except perhaps, longevity), and despite its seemingly uninspired, rather pedestrian note break-down it smells amazingly pleasant from top to bottom. No, it’s not a pre 2010 fragrance by any means, but for what it is, I’m quite surprised it doesn’t have WAY more “loves” than it does “likes”. Chrome United isn’t ground-breaking, but it IS far better smelling then anything else in its league.
    8.5/10 Delightfully appealing.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

    Smells nice,fresh and aquatic.
It sure smells a lot like the original Chrome but without the metallic note to it,instead it’s more powdery like Bvlgari Blv
This one it’s fairly suited for the young crown,it’s casual, good for day and night time.
Medium longevity,it lasts about 4 hours on my skin and medium projection.
I do like it but i’ll pass since I already have the original Chrome which i like better than United.
If Chrome it’s for summer this one works best for spring i would say but you can also wear it in the summer,it’s fresh enough.

  47. :

    3 out of 5

Chrome United has an appealing freshness to it. Yes, the alcohol can be prominently detected in the opening spray, but it is ephemeral. Soon, you get a warm, sweet, and light perfume with a slightly spicy undertone. There is almost a baked good essence about it. Chrome United comes on smoothly and brings a creaminess when it settles. The floral note gives off a clean feeling, while there is some candied sweetness or fruit complementing the medley. In the end, you get a creamy floral with underlying spice or wood that has decent sillage.
It’s nice for a day at work, though it may fade in a few short hours. Your colleagues will find it pleasant and unobtrusive.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

Chrome United is very clean, soapy, powdery and sweet…a body wash on steroids! This flanker of Chrome (original) is best suited for teen boys as a first fragrance…but wear sparingly. On me, I DO NOT detect any woods at all which I would have liked; must admit, this new scent was bought blindly.
Sillage (projection) is better than average, very moderate and longevity is the same; Chrome United will last a good 6-8 hrs. at least through a whole work day, or should I say, a whole SCHOOL day?!…lol.
I sadly must state this new scent is not for the “older” crowd, 40s and up. It is a nice enough cologne, but not for the mature gentleman; stick with the Senior, Chrome (original) or even, Chrome Legend is a better choice than this new-born!
UPDATE: ATTENTION: I MUST ADMIT, I had a full day’s wear out of Chrome United and it wears better on my chest than tested on back of hand! I HONESTLY DO LIKE THIS ONE; it still may be marketed to the younger crowd, however, the woodiness (Cedar and maybe, Teak?) does show up to the party and softens the sweet, powder cleanliness of the top and heart notes. The notes do mix well and I do feel that this new scent would be a good starter for young guys who want their first cologne. A nice fragrance to wear into the office, on a casual date or a night out or on the weekends under a button-down and/or t-shirt.

  49. :

    4 out of 5

A musky fragrance with definite metallic notes which are maybe referenced by the checker plate design on the stopper and bottom of the bottle….or I’m reading too much into it?
Lacking in originality but a good scent and I picked it up at rock bottom price so it was a worthwhile purchase as I will wear it regularly I reckon.

  50. :

    4 out of 5

Received a sample of this today. It smells very pleasant. The notes aren’t very impressive, except for the Sichuan pepper, which is certainly detectable if you know it’s there. My girlfriend loved it, but to me it isn’t very unique or ground-breaking. It just smells… good. Pretty much your standard fresh, aquatic, and there is nothing wrong with that. I definitely see a some similarity with Acqua Essenziale, which is another pleasant aquatic. This is definitely a buy if aquatics are your thing, however, I prefer to wear scents that are about more unique, personally. Well done.

  51. :

    3 out of 5

I received a sample of Chrome United today at Dillard’s. At it’s heart it is the original Chrome but United is less metallic and has a somewhat fresher scent with a powdery type of dry down to it. It’s not as bold as the original and for those who like Chrome but aren’t fond of that sharp metallic note that we often see others complain about then Chrome United may be something worth trying. Someone else mentioned that similar Bleu de Chanel note and it is also found in Ferragamo’s Aqua Essenziale. You get just a touch of it with Chrome United.

  52. :

    4 out of 5

On drydown, reminds me of Bleu de Chanel with its sort of sweetish baby-powder-like scent. If you like Bleu, I feel you’ll like this too.

  53. :

    3 out of 5

Doesn’t smell like Gucci Pour Homme II at all – and believe me, GPHII was once my signature fragrance. Really, this is sort of a cross between Chrome and Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce. Highly synthetic with that classic, piercing metallic coriander note, this one’s been done before. Coupled with subtle synthetic tea and violet leaf notes (not too detectable, but they’re there), this fragrance will surely appeal to the crowd my age (late teens/early 20s), but I’ve smelled this a million times before. I wish I smelled the Sichuan pepper, but hey, that’s what I have Patou Pour Homme for.

  54. :

    4 out of 5

Hmm… If compare it with Chrome the original , it has metalic note . That’s why it has a cheapy scent , how about Chrome United seem to be this is a improved formula . It’s less metalic note . Chrome United is more pleasant than the original, sweet floral . However it lighter .

  55. :

    3 out of 5

Looks like a rip off of Gucci Pour Homme 2 .. Well I guess it might be good since Gucci Pour Homme 2 is on Frida Giannini’s chopping block and will be the last good one to go..
Update – Smelled it and it smells nothing like Gucci Pour Homme 2.. It actually smells alot like the original Chrome, just more creamy..

  56. :

    4 out of 5

Gucci 2 is Proctor & Gamble (P&G Prestige). Azzaro is Clarins Group….not the same company

Reminds me of Gucci PH2, then again, the same company made both.
