Description

Victoria’s Secret offers something really special. It is a collection consisting of four new fragrances, inspired by luxurious materials used in the fabrication of Victoria’s Secret lingerie: cashmere, silk, satin and lace to which the collection Parfums Intimes is dedicated.

These fragrances come in beautiful packages of the same bottle form and box, colored in pink, beige, gray and black. The bottles are very elegant, made out of glass, heavy and decorated with satin ribbons.

Besides the bottles of 50 ml EDP, they are also available as the Flower Mist editions in the bottles of 250 ml. The package of 4 fragrances is launched as a special set, to introduce you to all of the aromas from this collection.

Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine features cashmere wood, vanilla and jasmine. Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine was launched in 2009.

this is very pretty. at first it smells like wood, vanilla and a bit of something almost citrussy. i think the jasmine in this is pretty subtle here, thankfully, because me and jasmine do not get along sometimes. it’s mostly a creamy woody vanilla scent. awhile later the jasmine becomes more apparent adding the nice floral component. i haven’t tried any VS scents in a long time, but i must say i am pleasantly surprised by this one.

A sensual, woody, hugging vanilla scent! It’s delicious without being childish, deep without being dramatic and tempting without being vulgar and annoying. I don’t get much jasmine, but I just love how this exquisite, dark and naturalistic vanilla blends with the sophisticated, whispering wood notes which make the scent adult and cozy. The staying power is very good (about 6 hours after applying).
Today it’s quite cold outside and I guess it will be raining soon. Nice, transparent spring rain pouring down the window pane, a big cup of coffee with some milk, white, fluffy blanket and this scent on my wrists and my neck. What could be better than this? Only THE man next to me under that blanket.

Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine is just that… and basically in this order. The bottle is also gorgeous; most VS perfume bottles aren’t as fancy and these were personally boxed with a sachet bag. I purchased the whole set (perfume, mist and lotion) when it was discounted @ VS. It’s enjoyable, but like most perfume users, swap my fragrances out from time to time. My hubby mentioned “vanilla” and my mind went to this, so I pulled it out of my perfume storage. It hasn’t changed a bit. Still mellow and soft, comforting and inviting. I checked prices on eBay and Amazon – let me tell you they are thru the roof! So if you are lucky enough to have (and enjoy) any of the Perfume Intimes in your collection, hold onto them – they are worth owning.

This is a beautiful vanilla fragrance. It’s smooth and creamy and reminds me of clotted cream.
All the notes are so well blended that you can detect them all – the vanilla, the soft flowers and gentle wood grounding it. It’s very cosy and has the same kind of feeling as So Hooked on Carmella. It’s linear, but when it smells this wonderful you don’t want it to change. Feminine, relaxed, dreamy.
The packaging is so cute too. Staying power and sillage both great, so you’re in this divine little cloud when you wear it. More for cooler weather I feel.
I have no idea why this was discontinued but I really hope they bring it back! If VS can make fragrances this well I don’t see why they don’t do it more often.

Wood, wood, and more wood… and it’s a fluffy, soft wood that I absolutely LOVE… and I don’t even like wood! Lovely, sweet, non-indolic jasmines wafting along with the vanilla. No foody stuff, no over-crowding of too many notes or an ambition to be oh-so-different… Just a clean, silky wood and that beautiful fragrant, vanillic flower. This is a bewitching perfume I cherish with all my heart. Some may balk at it but that sort of makes me happy. That way I can have all the left over bottles of this discontinued gem all to myself!!:)

Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine is a beautiful and cosy fragrance. Just like an expensive cashmere robe, the scent is warm, luxurious and soft. It has turned out to be a lot better than I originally expected.
I really like the concept behind this series, and I think the name is well-suited to this fragrance. The vanilla and jasmine go together perfectly, with a smooth muskiness that somewhat resembles another cashmere inspired fragrance, Donna Karan’s Cashmere Mist.
Although casual and relaxed, Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine could be worn just about anywhere. I personally find it to be rather sensual, so wearing it on a romantic date is not out of the question.
The vanilla in this fragrance is not sweet, but more smooth and cuddly. Without smelling like soap, Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine does have a slightly clean quality, which is pleasant rather than offensive. I think many will enjoy this subtlety.
So far, this is my favourite Victoria’s Secret fragrance. I am so very disappointed that it has since been discontinued. I do hope that it’s still available both online and on Ebay. It was one crazy move to get rid of this fragrance, even if it wasn’t a best seller.
The sillage is intimate, however the longevity is good. If you’re like me and enjoy the scent of vanilla and/or jasmine, then you’re sure to be impressed. The two dominant accords have been blended beautifully in a way that is both breath-taking and wearable.

A warm, cozy, sexy, grown woman fragrance. It is very pure, not artificial or too fussy. I use this before bed and it makes me feel sexy and feminine. Slightly sweet and a good balance of soft heaviness. I love this scent.

This fragrance is well balanced. Actually, the entire Parfums Intimes line is well-made and a far cry from other cute, Pink stuff VS is selling. Parfums Intimes is very grown up and sensual, and Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine fits right in. Gourmand, but not the screaming, extremely foody, cloying vanilla. Instead it is the warm, close to the skin, almost powdered sugar cookie type of smell. I love Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine, especially sprayed before going to bed–on my pulse points, clothes and negligee.
I really don’t get why VS discontinued the entire Parfums Intimes line!

Body Spray review: I love this one from VS. It smells warm and cozy! It is a very good blend of vanilla and jasmin. It is exactly what I want to wear when it is snowing outside. The body spray lasts all day. I think it is best for fall and winter. I think it would be a bit to strong for the summer. Too bad they stopped making this. 🙁

This is very likable, a nice blend of vanilla, jasmine and as someone else said, heliotrope. Not sticky sweet at all. It reminds me a bit of Ombre Rose in the first few minutes. It does take on a very powdery quality.
It was very pleasant for about 3-4 hours, but as it was fading away, the powdery goodness took on a dusty quality, not that anyone else around you would notice it. Very nice, but there are plenty of other options on the vanilla front.

The body cream is the best! It smells yummy!!!! Delicious!! Soft but creamy. The name suits it perfectly, CASHMERE! soft and lush.

This is a very nice, very soft perfume. Not soft in sillage but in feel, like a pale pink cashmere sweater with angora fur tucked in.
CJV is not an overpowering gourmand vanilla (and I love gourmand vanilla) or a heady floral jasmine. It is for me a bed of vanilla with a very light woody aura and a hint of Jasmine. As mentioned, this isn’t your typical gourmand vanilla, it’s much more mellow, you won’t smell like a cookie (or at least I don’t think so). And possibly the combination of the three notes, but I swear I smell coconut. CJV is sweet but not over the top sweet, smooth, creamy, and enjoyable.
Sillage is good, lasting power is far better than many VS scents. For me it’s one of the best so far from Victoria’s Secret.

This is the only Victoria’s Secret fragrance I like. It has a classy aroma, not trashy. It is simple and uncomplicated. It does start with a blast of Jasmine, but don’t be alarmed. It becomes creamy vanilla and luxurious cashmere with a whiff of Jasmine. One of my favorites to wear to bed. I drift off to sleep in the warm comfort of this fragrance. I put my arm around my husband and he just says “Mmmmmmmmm”

husband bought this for me one xmas and i thought it was very strong (perhaps because of the jasmine?). the presentation is definitely nice. i find that if i spray the room or sheets a couple of times, the sweetness of the vanilla lingers. vanilla lovers will definitely like this. it’s a shame that vs has discontinued this because i don’t really find great scents there.

Put it on in the morning before work and the scent stays until evening. This scent is AMAZING, simplistic and delicious. A good blend that kind of reminds me of warm oatmeal sprinkled with cocoa powder. Maybe that’s a bad description, but it is a creamy, warm and comforting food, as well as scent. I get so many compliments on it from both men and women! Men love it and women want to have it for themselves. I consider this an innocent sexy. For the woman who doesn’t need to scream it, she just is!
The jasmine isn’t overpowering either, just enough floral to brighten it up and make it sparkle with the vanilla. The woody undertone of cashmere makes it somewhat earthy. There is also powdery heliotrope not listed here.
I’ve been wearing this ever since it came out. I almost cried when I realized they discontinued it. I stocked up on the VS website and bought 3 bottles on clearance and have been rationing it since. This was one of my signature scents and now it’s gone forever. So sad!

Begins interesting, but quickly fades into this strange vanilla smell which is kind of artificial. Doesn’t go with my chemistry I suppose.

i liked this one a first when i was shopping today but here we are 6 hours later and its full blast. i dont know how many times i washed my hands with scented soap but it’s still there….its really sweet on my skin and i cant really take all of it.
however, for those who enjoy slightly woody, very sweet but sophisticately so, heavy, slightest of spice fragrances, this is for you!

I really thought this was a beautiful scent. I impressed with it’s lasting ability and it’s a very grown up scent, without smelling old ladyish. I’m anxious to try layering it with Lavnila Vanilla Grapefruit roller ball, which makes virtually every cologne I wear, just pop a little bit. I am very happy with this purchase of VS. I bought the perfume which normally sells for $45 but was o sale 50% off and then I had a $10 off birthday coupon. So I got it for $13 something. I don’t think I could go wrong at that price:)

this is one of those scents where BBW and victoria secret hiccupped, is is the same formula and scent and the jasmine vanilla aromatherapy… take my word. I would have never associated anything jasmine with cashmere.

Victoria’s Secret CASHMERE reminded me upon the very first spritz of Donna Karan’s CASHMERE MIST. Sure enough, looking at the notes I find that the three notes found in the VS linear, jasmine, vanilla, and cashmere wood, are all present in the Donna Karan formulation as well. Hmmm… seems like a bit of perfume plagiarism to me. (Or perhaps both VS and DK are owned by the same multinational global conglomerate, so they can get away with such a thing? On ne sait jamais…)
To return to VS CASHMERE, this is a very pleasant, minimalist linear with marked vanilla and jasmine mingling together to form what is essentially a one-dimensional skin scent. There is no development, but the VS Parfums Intimes were never meant to be layered. Sometimes less is more!
The presentation is extraordinarily beautiful. The thick glass bottles in the fabric covered boxes adorned with ribbons are very enticing. But the edp is a linear skin scent, no more and no less.

I finally got this today because VS had a sale on all their 1.7 oz perfumes. They were all $25, instead of the insane price of $55. which is not insane for other perfumes, but for VS scents, yes. Anyway it was a hard toss up for me to choose between this and Sexy Little Things Noir. SLTN ended up having a “sweaty coconut” smell on me in its dry down, so i ended up getting this one. Plus i have a vanilla OBSESSION 🙂 Except that this one is a lot more Jasmine than vanilla to me. In fact I dont smell much vanilla. I think its just very blended. Though a really do love this scent. As some one else mentioned before, this really is a more mature baby powder smell. So it smells like you have always just come out of the shower and lotioned and powdered, so that is nice. (Especially in a hospital where you are always getting dirty!) The previous reviews say that this last forever and is very strong. Yes it is strong, for about 15 min, than i only get a faint whiff of it on my clothes. A plus was that all my co-workers and patients say that it smells very good! so its powdery, jasminey, vanilly, …if thats what you likem, go for it!

Have they reformulated Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine?! I bought the perfume when it first came out, but found it too heavy on the jasmine/cedarwood, not enough vanilla…ended up giving it away. Today at VS I tried it again and am loving it! Reminds me of my current fave,Hanae Mori, but it’s a bit less complex, more innocent in nature, which I like. I bought the body mist, thinking that maybe it was the EDP that was too strong last time, as well as feeling foolish for spending $45 again on something I gave away because I didn’t like it! I have a feeling this will layer well with Hanae Mori if I want the best of both worlds. Or maybe I’ve found HG #2. Time will tell!

This scent is like a classier, grown-up version of baby powder. I found it quite potent and long-lasting too – almost too much for daywear, but for a cold winter night, I think it would be quite nice. It’s very feminine, yet it has a soft woodsiness about it.

I would like to know if anyone has used the Vanilla Lace body lotion and then layered the Cashmere Vanilla over top?

Lovely rich vanilla and a touch of powdery wood, but I really only get a hint of Jasmine and that fades off pretty quick. the vanilla/cedar lasts a long long time, though and is very rich. Not strictly just vanilla, as it is a bit perfumey, but that keeps it from being just another vanilla gourmand. Nice.

I can’t get enough of vanilla based fragrances these days and Vanilla Jasmine definitely satisfies my vanilla obsession!
The first thing I noticed is the cedarwood combined with a sweet vanilla. The cedar in this is different than most fragrances with that note. Instead of being super woodsy it adds a spicy flair to all the layers creating an earthy musky smokey bourbon type vanilla. Heliotrope, one of my favorite flowers is the prominent floral on my skin. Heliotrope is reminiscent of vanilla, powdery creamy and sweet. Off and on I get little whiffs of orchid. I honestly don’t smell jasmine, its nowhere to be found on me. I would recommend this to vanilla lovers only..
Vanilla Jasmine is a soft perfume, with average lasting power. I tried the body mist and it was way lighter and smelled of alcohol. The EDP is a better buy!
This has similarities to Laura Mercier Eau Gourmande Vanille Gourmande but nowhere near as strong in silage and lasting power. It does smell like a stronger and better quality version of VS Vanilla Lace.
Vanilla bean orchid, living purple orchid, jasmine absolute, cedarwood and heliotrope are the notes for VS Vanilla Jasmine.

I wish I could find the small set pictured above that features all 4 scents. It’s not in stores or on the website. I like this scent. It’s creamy and warm. I can smell the wood in the beginning and it’s a little spiced. It then moves into the creamy warm phase. It never gets too heavy or dark. It stays close to skin. A bit too much $ for what you get. There is a body mist as well, so it could be a better option. You just have to weigh the value. The 1.7 oz perfume for $45, or a 8.4 oz mist for $28. Edit: Now I think these scents are too basic and “safe”. Nothing original.

This is a pretty nice perfume–better than the other ones from the new collection. I like the vanilla and jasmine combo. That said, nothing really makes it stand out as special. It smells pleasant, but that’s it. For that reason, it is not something I’d wear at night, but it is okay for daytime. If it was not for my free sample, I would not go out of my way to get this scent.

A classic, feminine, and warming scent for cooler weather (60 degrees F and cooler. Not too heavy. Sexy, too. Nightime probably is the best time to wear this.
Age range: pretty wide; anyone who likes oriental vanillas. I would think mostly 30s and 40s?
The name perfectly describes the fragrance. It’s like a warm, well-made, body skimming ivory cashmere scarf or sweater.
