Description

The collection of three fragrances by this house is presented to the market in November 2008 and include perfumes named Wink, Squeeze and Beachy.

Beachy a fresh, joyful and intoxicating perfume, which offers water melon, sunny citruses and sea breeze aromas in the very opening, while the heart is enriched with jasmine flowers, tiare and frangipani. The base includes salt crystals, golden amber and sweet vanilla. This perfume in a blue bottle was created by Karine Dubreuil.

Design director and motifs creator by the house of Lilly Pulitzer, Janie Schoenborn, created combinations of colours and motifs which will be visible on stripes on colour pencil boxes, as well as on perfume package. Wink got primary motifs in pink and green nuances, Squeeze is decorated with yellow and orange, while Beachy is coloured in blues and greens. Secondary motifs are found on outside packages, as well as on body lotions. Design of the bottles was inspired by architecture Via Mizner in Palm Beach.

Beachy is available in two amounts: 50ml (1.7oz) EDP and 100ml (3.4oz) EDP, with an accompanying line of body lotions and scented candles.

I agree with freddinos below. Unsure why the hype as well! It is an irritating perfume and burns my nose! I thought I loved it at first spray and I tried to love it, but there is just something in it that annoys me. It never settles into anything lovely. It even made my husband sneeze and he’s hardly ever sensitive to fragrances. Thank goodness the perfume doesn’t last long on the skin! The price hike is ridiculous and has to be due to it’s discontinue because it sure can’t be about anything else! Definitely test this first before purchasing a full bottle! Not a safe blind buy

I agree the price is laughable for this mediocre scent. It’s not awful but just… meh.
Floral, beachy and ordinary. Its base is of the synthetic musky kind.Does not last long. Cannot understand what kind of hype could lead to its current asking prices on evilbay!

Awful scent. Had this and there is some note that makes it nauseating. I’m laughing that it’s like $80 now, lol!

THIS. IS. EXQUISITE. I love all scents inspired by summertime, the beach and the tropics. I was aware of the Lilly Pulitzer fragrances back when they were released but I never sampled them until I received one of Beachy in a recent swap. Now I am in love! It is one of my all time favorites for warm weather. It really smells like summer! I can’t even fully describe the scent. It’s just a subtly sexy tropical floral with strong emphasis on the tiare. It reminds me of Kate Spade Live Colorfully but stronger and it also reminds me of Estee Bronze Goddess but without the coconut note. I have very dry skin but somehow Beachy manages to leave a noticeable dry-down. I sprayed it on this morning at 9AM and at nearly 6PM I can still smell traces of it. Beachy is just simply delicious and yummy. It is a MUST HAVE for those that enjoy the scent of summer.

Fresh out of the shower smell – very clean (but not soapy) and great for hot weather. I mostly wear this during the daytime in the summer. I’d say it’s more ozonic than aquatic – I don’t really get “watery” vibe from this, it’s got white florals, and a tiny bit of fruity sweetness. Fairly mellow white flowers though nothing too overwhelming (I tend to be sensitive/get headaches from certain white florals.) OK lasting power 6-8 hours. It’s definitely a skin scent for the last few hours but you can still smell it on yourself.
Edit: I was lucky that I bought mine when it was still on clearance at Marshall’s for like $20 but it sounds like this is getting harder to find (now in 2018). If you’re looking for something similar that’s still in production I’d say test out Beach Walk by Maison Martin Margiela (has more coconut) or Eau des Merveilles Bleue by Hermes (it’s less floral/more unisex) which for me are in sort of the same genre or at least I’d wear any of them for the same occasions. Merveilles Bleue is my favorite of the bunch and I’ve hardly touched Beachy since I got it.

I think I am beginning to appreciate white florals, once upon a time this would have sent me screaming but now I actually like it. It’s like a modern update of my old nemesis Sand& Sable. Sweet salty Jasmine and tiare with a tad of fruit and an amber vanilla base. I don’t “taste” the salt in this like I sometimes do with perfumes that have a salt note. It’s very similar to Olympea as well but way more expensive which is crazy because this nowhere near the same quality. Guess it was discontinued and people are taking advantage of that by selling it for 20 times what it used to go for. The silage is so-so will have to update on longevity.

This is impressively beachy! At first breath I got a bit of coppertoney coconuty vanilla That was immediately overpowered by the tropical florals. Than I actually got the amber and the citrus. The flowers subdued and the amber smelled warm really feeling like flowers warmed in the sun. The saltiness came through. After that the various notes intermittently make their presences known. It’s a soft vanilla, no wait it’s salty, oh and there’s those flowers again! I don’t know if beach could be done better!

Clean is how this smells. You feel freshly showered and pretty. I never thought of myself as a “Jasmine lover”, but I do like this jasmine based perfume. I didn’t like this perfume at first, but it grew on me and I actually want to buy more. I wouldn’t wear this when I’m looking to feel sexy, but I would on a typical day. It’s fresh and clean, and not overpowering. It lasts a while, throughout probably five hours. Beachy does indeed remind me of the beach. I grew up on the coast of the north Atlantic ocean, and now I live elsewhere, and this scent does bring me back in mind, to a lovely carefree shore. It’s not coconutty or anything, which is a good change for a beachy scent.

I don’t usually like scents like this but it’s beautiful, however I don’t need over 3 oz of it so if anyone wants to buy or swap I have decants available. Super beautiful in warm weather although go light if it’s humid. It can be a little suffocating lol.

Hmm. I reach for this every summer for the last three years yet I can’t get past 1/20 of the bottle. It’s STRONNNNNNNNG.
    However, it’s definitely wearing-suntan-lotion-while-holding-a-bouquet-of-fresh-white-flowers-from-the-South-Pacific-until-a-strong-breeze-knocked-me-into-the-ocean.
So, I spray it at my feet before dressing and cover my body with a light suntan oil. And then I won’t have to respray until the next time I shower even if it’s three days later. 🙂

Perfect to wear to the gym; a breath of fresh air in a bottle!

Blind buy on a whim. Only a ‘like”, wish the jasmine were dropped. A light breezy something that I would wear out for daytime activities. This scent reminds me, in a superficial way, of Fred Segal Ocean.

    D I S C O N T I N U E D ! So sorry. One of the better “beach” scents. Now the Frag Pirates are whoring up the prices: $80.00 – 90.00 a bottle. Beachy was an undiscovered treasure !

Beachy is absolutely intoxicating. I blind-bought its glassy little turquoise bottle, gold detail and patterned blue ribbon and all, at a department store table on deep discount, just for the fun of it, and yet, this has easily been one of my best-ever perfume purchases.
Beachy is a tumble of heady white flowers and salty marine water and sweet melon juice. It smells like the fresh towels from the back of the stack at the resort, warm and clean, like the lingering scent of floral sachets left in the wooden drawers along with a little trace of white sand, like half-melted watermelon saltwater taffy, like the sunscreen bottle left half-lying in the patch of sun on the table, like that first blast of already-scorching, humid-salty air when you open the sliding condo door on your first morning.
Beachy lasts forever and ever on clothes and on skin, and it still smells the same years later – that initial blast of watermelon, the glowing heart of tiare, and the lingering trail of salty warmth. It has accompanied me on vacation every summer since I found it, and I already have a spot in my bag reserved for it for next year.

I layer it with Judith Leiber Exotic Coral and it is summer perfection! A tropical getaway in a bottle… Exotic Coral is the heavier of the two and I spray it first and Beachy goes on top… I have tried both fragrances alone but neither can match the synergy of the combined effect!

  16. :

    5 out of 5

Lots of frangipani and tiare flowers. Beachy certainly smells beachy. I have Live Colorfully by Kate Spade and this smells almost exactly the same with less longevity. You can sense the salt in here.
Watermelon is one of my favorite notes and i,unfortunately, don’t get any out of this.
If tuberose was added to this it would be more exotic and tropical.
Beachy and Live Colorfully, both, used to be some of my ultimate favorites. Nowadays i need a bit of something more going on to consider as a fave. It now remains a like with a 8/10 overall rating from me.

This is my all time favorite beach scent, and what I wish more marine-inspired scents smelled like, instead of the un-beachy lime/bergamot/cedar triumvirate that has been slapped into a million blue bottles under a million different names. Jasmine and tiare are prominent here, and somehow blending these soft and breezy white florals with the salty notes just transports the whole thing. Definitely takes you away to a relaxing island, rather than slapping you in the face with a jarring citrus/wood combo. This I LOVE! And you can get it pretty cheaply from a variety of sources. Adorable bottle, totally LP. A+

OMG – this is a pert near spot on dupe of Demeter Kahala Hawaiian Surf (which is also now called Salt Air)! Which I have and testing against right now. totally spot on but the bonus is that Beachy lasts LONGER!
Difference is the Frangipani in the dry down. Which is a wee bit typical plumeria/frangipani spice. Likely why some reviewers smell incense. But its very faint.
This scent is very airy, watery and yes BEACHY!

  19. :

Very nice blind buy. I get the BEACHY smell to this. Its like a tropical floral. Smells fresh and clean…not like suntan lotion. Its light and soft…lasts a few hours on me, may last longer with warmer weather. I highly recommend. 🙂

Love this one! It’s really beautiful, though not a typical beach scent. There’s not much fruit going on, which is a nice break from the coconut overload you usually find in a summer perfume.
Here’s what this scent looks like in my brain: You’re at the beach early in the morning to walk by the waves and watch the sun rise. You don’t need sunscreen yet, and maybe you’re still in your comfy cotton pajama set. The air is still fresh and just pleasantly warm, not hot. The breeze lifts your hair as you head back across the sand to your condo for pancakes and a cup of coffee.
I definitely get a “comfy” and relaxed vibe from this perfume. Please do give it a chance!!

This was my personal favorite fragrance for a while. I like tropical/beachy scents that do not contain coconut and was looking for a superior replacement to Beyond Paradise which I wore religiously during high school 10 years ago. I don’t know how else to describe this fragrance other than as the image of Lilly Pulitzer. If the prints had a scent this would be it, and maybe Squeeze. It is not complex, deep, or moody, but it is also not a teenage coconut flower bomb. It is a relaxed but chic non-pretentious beach vacation in a bottle.

  22. :

This is my every day scent, and it can easily be worn all year long. Very unobtrusive, yet if I raise my wrist to my nose, I can smell it all day. Floral and citrusy fresh. Fun but ladylike. Lovely.

Reminds me of the sea. There’s a certain sharp coldness to it. Conjures up images of sailing – sky clear, a little sun, water blue, air crisp.

She’s not dead but, how on EARTH did they stuff Doris Day into this bottle!? This is the epitome of her, most of her IN her movies, and Carmel-by-the-Sea. This isn’t OLD or vintage smelling, no no no, don’t get me wrong. This is the inner peace, joy, an absolute feeling of everything is perfect in this world of her movies. It’s the hazy fluffy golden hair that makes an aura around her “my mommy loves me” smiling face. It’s a woman’s smell, a mom that is perfect smell, pink silken quilted robes, air that has no pollution. As a matter of fact, in this “world” of Doris, there isn’t even a factory to MAKE pollution. I wonder if she’d even LIKE this scent in her real life! But in MY world, it IS her. I love her and what her movies do to me. I love what this scent is and what it does to me. For others not floating on the same cloud as me, I think will still like this a lot. I don’t see how they couldn’t. It’s very feminine, it lasts and seems to renew itself even. Like one review mentioned, it seems to get stronger! The packaging is so pretty, if I were rich, I’d buy several bottle just to decorate with! One in each bathroom, in spare bedrooms for guests, on tables at the pool. This also is a fantasy, I have no pool! But you can see what this scent means to ME. Keep posting, I enjoy reading what others have to say. This is for anyone, at any age, in any world! And know, that if you wear this…I think you smell divine darling!

Maybe it’s me, but I feel like this lasts longer than Squeeze and Wink. I sprayed one spritz for testing at noon and it’s 5 pm and still going strong. I don’t get the watermelon or salt or musk at all in this, and at first I was disappointed because I wanted a water inspired scent. But as it dried down, all I can smell are jasmine and carnation and although I can’t say I love it, it’s really a gorgeous smell. And even though I am wearing sweats and a tank, it makes me feel so lady like! It’s definitely not a sexy scent by any means, but more of a classy and whimsical scent. Very floral and so pretty-anyone can pull this off. And it doesn’t smell old, like some of the reviews state. It’s just very “garden” inspired I think, more than beach.

Opening is shades of Creed Spring Flower, very soft, clean, and floral, with a peach- tinged jasmine, night blooming white flowers, plus ozonic and salty — but its genius is avoiding altogether a loud and shrill factor of Spring Flower. When the temperature outside is cooler, Beachy remains a lilting floral-marine, beautiful, delicate, and dries down to a woody-patchouli richness, and produces a surprising depth Spring Flower lacks.
The first time I ever applied Beachy I caught the distinctive whiff of carnation/clove, but have since been unable to replicate the note after a week of testing. Perhaps it’s because of the rising summer temperatures.
As temperatures soared this week, the perfume produced a dry and sugary Baby Powder note that worked well with the woody base but rendered it completely different from the soft white floral marine/carnation it was. And makes me wonder if I understood Beachy at all.
A couple of spritzes last eight hours. A morning shower the day after applying will enable you to relive it.

  28. :

This is indeed somewhat beachy but in my opinion, not the beach of a beautiful resort but an untamed shoreline where the waves crash onto the rocks sending spray into the air as you stand on a cliff looking into the vast distance where the sky meets the ocean. Having lived near the ocean most of my life, this scent takes me back to the days of my childhood.
I detect the floral notes and a definite salt water vibe, maybe a hint of vanilla. On my skin, it goes through phases, Upon first application, I get the saltiness, then a hint of sweetness and the floral notes. It lasts for hours on my skin.
This fragrance is unlike anything else in my collection. I can’t say I love it but if you’re looking for a different summer scent, it’s worth a try.

  29. :

This was another one of my not-so-bright Marshall’s perfume shopping extravaganza purchases that disappointed me, yet it shouldn’t have. I don’t like it. It smells like white floral-scented sunblock.
Even so, I tried to like it but it luckily didn’t last long enough for me to sort out exactly what I didn’t like about it.

  30. :

    5 out of 5

when I first smelled this fragrance, I though to myself “I have smelled this before, where have I smelled this before??” Then I remembered the salty fig leaf and caviar scent from Thierry Mugler, Womanity. This scent in the initial spray to a T smells like a thinned out, easier to wear version of Womaity. But as this scent progresses and fades away it smells more like a beach shop right on the pier. It smells nice, and it’s not like anything I own.

I bought Beachy at Marshalls for $14.99. It was a blind buy based on it’s name. When I wore Beachy for the first time I was disappointed because I was expecting something more marine (salt and seawater) but what I got was an intense white floral musk. I didn’t like it, but as it settled on me the notes began to change and blend together in a very nice way. Salted melon and fresh citrus make there appearance and I begin to understand why the perfumes named Beachy. I get musk, salt, melon, and citrus the most and the overall blend makes me appreciate the initial smell so I don’t mind it at all anymore. A good summer/spring fragrance for the price, but not strong enough for me to be spectacular.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

I really enjoy this scent – it’s just fun. I don’t detect any vanilla or amber in it – on me this scent dries down to a salty lime margarita. I found it to be very strong though. I’d suggest using a light hand with this one.
The bottle is very pretty, also. I love the blue color of the glass and the little tropical print “scarf” around the cap. Very “beachy” indeed. 🙂

Just a quick update after I have been using this all summer – please continue to read the remaining review though as it may also be helpful. This perfume has lasting power like I have NEVER seen. I tell you this goes a full 24 hours and then some. I sprayed on a shirt and the next day tossed the top into the laundry and it STILL was going strong. For me loving this fragrance that is a good thing. Whatever this perfumery is using or doing I wish other fragrance makers could take note!
I have not read any reviews as to taint my own opinion . I just received my bottle of Beachy and I am quite impressed. I am not familiar with this brand of perfume. I was hoping that Beachy would live up to it’s name. A nice summer scent – and guess what? It did! It was love at first sniff for me with beachy. A gorgeous summery scent similar to suntan lotion. After a few hours I can still smell this beautiful scent on my arm. It transformed though into something even nicer. The initial suntan lotion smell has gone leaving a warmer more gorgeous scent. All in all I am in love with this. I hear it can be found for a song at Marshalls – if you find it stock up.
As for lasting power Beachy has it. I continue to smell it as the day progresses, oddly the scent becomes stronger or more noticeable. This does not happen often with any other fragrance I own.

I love this collection. They are all so bright and clean. This one is super fresh almost like… air freshener fresh. But in a good way! Look around for these at TJ Maxx and Marshalls. I got mine for $14.99. I haven’t worn it yet, but sprayed it smells salty and then I get some baby powder smell. Not really any fruit. I don’t think this is just a summer scent, it’s good for anytime you want to smell clean and bright.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Beachy is the perfect name for this.
This is aquatic, not tropical or fruity. This is a white floral and also smells like the ocean. It’s clean, and blue. There is the saltiness of the ocean, but this could have been saltier.
This reminds me a bit of Jennifer Aniston’s perfume.
The bottle is cute. It’s a beautiful shade of blue, with a ribbon and a round cap.

  36. :

I must agree with Alex193. This fragrance smells nothing of fruit on me at all. It is much more of a sandy Coppertone fragrance on me, which I believe is orange blossom/neroli, but I do not see that note listed. On my skin it is almost identical to Bobbi’s Beach. Prices on ebay are a steal on this right now, so it is worth trying out for a nice summer scent.

  37. :

I swapped for this blindly and I am glad I did. Its very fresh and does remind me of the beach…like a walk on the pier and the wind blowing kind of beachy…not suntan coconut beach. I love it!

  38. :

    5 out of 5

Wow. I feel like I’m wearing a completely different perfume than all of you. I don’t get fruit in this at all – no watermelon, no citrus. I get a very salty, somewhat musky (amber I presume) scent that actually dries to a faint patchouli on my skin, but not my clothes. The longevity and silliage are lacking, and I’d be quite upset if I’d paid department store prices for this. I’m an avid beach-scent sampler, and this is WAY different from your usual beach suspects. I’d probably describe this as a more of an English cliff side ocean lookout, cloudy and windy, with waves of salty sea air being tossed in the wind. Not a tropical or playful beach as the theme of the scent suggests. That being said, I do like it. I almost wonder if I’m anosmic to some component of it though, because I feel like I’m missing out on what most of you smell, and its gone from my skin and clothes within an hour.

This definitely is a breezy, beachy smelling perfume. Pure summer in a bottle. Watermelon and sea breeze…..good daytime perfume when the weather is hot and you just want a little something to make you smell good…not overly strong or cloying just breezy and sunny. The bottle is pretty too!

  40. :

    3 out of 5

Pure carnation and island flowers which dries down to an oceany melon. Smells like a rich woman’s perfume from the 1960’s. Use sparingly.
Update: The reason I adore this is that it’s a summer fragrance without the tired coconut and aqua notes.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

At first spray I get a heady mix of juiciness and sea water. As it dries down the vanilla seems to warm the scent in a way that takes it from an almost juvenile yet fun perfume to something of more substance. There is a touch of sunscreen to the scent, but not how you would imagine it. All in all this is one of my go to fragrances for summer and it never fails to put a smile on my face.

  42. :

    5 out of 5

i just discovered a that if you mix a few heavy sprays of beachy with light spray of a sweet fruity perfume(i used escada marine groove which i usually find too sweet) the effect is wonderful, perfect beach scent! 🙂
this one is good for layering

  43. :

    4 out of 5

this has such a mild fragrance that even immediately after spraying the scent is light and has almost no projection (on me anyway). the scent itself is likable- a breath of saltiness to reference the sea air, light tropic flowers and a sweet amber base mixed with a touch of fruitiness- the combined effect is a sweet light sun tan lotion/sea salt smell which is pleasant.
my complaint is this- if i wanted the suntan lotion smell i could apply real suntan lotion which not only would have a more intense smell but also have greater longevity! however at $14.99 a bottle it is hard to complain.
I am hoping that as the weather warms this scent will impress me more.
on the bright side the bottle is very cute!i love the color and the chic little scarf, and the glass has a heavy well made feel that i would expect for a more expensive perfume.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

The opening blast of salt is not my favorite but quickly faded. The scent is soft & sweet yet not at all cloying.
Sadly, it left an inescapable plastic smell on me I couldn’t ignore. Perhaps bad chemistry?

  45. :

    3 out of 5

Lilly Pulitzer BEACHY for some reason ends up smelling like allspice or maybe a light layer of clove on my skin. It’s a different sort of perfume, and I do notice the ozonic similarity to Bond no 9 FIRE ISLAND, but I don’t detect much in the way of florals here. Actually, to be honest, I do not detect any of the above listed notes in this composition: watermelon? salt? vanilla? frangipani? Okay, I do get a bit of jasmine… And, again, the “ozonic amber” of FIRE ISLAND.
I’m not much of an amateur of aquatic and ozonic perfumes to begin with, so it’s not that surprising that I am not that enthusiastic about this creation. The good news is that BEACHY does not smell like suntan lotion (as does FIRE ISLAND). The bad news is that, in wafts, I get a sort of burnt hairspray vibe, albeit light, rather like the smell of someone’s hair after she used a curling iron on top of yesterday’s styling products.
    I don’t know that I’ll wear this fragrance very often, but it’s unique enough to keep now that I picked up a bottle from TJMaxx for $14.99. (-;

Fresh, light, very summery. My only complaint is the strength. Almost smelled a little powdery to my nose. I liked it, but didn’t love it.

  47. :

Yummmm!!! I love the beach and all things aquatic so I’ve smelled a lot of frags with a self-proclaimed ocean connection and this is the most accurate one I’ve ever come across. It does have a sort of suntan lotion-y aroma to it, but it’s mellowed out by the floral and salt notes so that the overall effect is just 100% beach. This frag embodies the power of aromatherapy for me b/c I can take one whiff and be instantly transported even in the dead of winter! Beachy indeed!

  48. :

    3 out of 5

Lilly Pulitzer’s Beachy isn’t really beachy at all. It’s more of a ‘Summer by the Pool’ than ‘A July Afternoon in Huntington Beach’ fragrance, if I do say so. It successfully evokes the essence of summer in a bottle, probably better than most self-proclaimed summer fragrances. I want winter to be over already so I have been wearing this intermittently for the past few months. I have other Summer fragrances but this one has all the conventional elements that take me instantly to a lounge chair by the pool in 80⁰F weather.
The salted watermelon in this is not what you might think. It sounds fruity but it is used interestingly to create a scent of water. It is more of a chlorinated watery scent than an ocean or lake water scent. Strange, I know, but probably more accessible to the wearer since pool sides are more readily available than shorelines. It’s persistent, as it stays throughout the composition, but not overpowering. There is also the sweet, warmed scent of sun-baked skin (due to the salt, amber, and a faint touch of toasted vanilla) and faint suntan lotion (thanks to the tropical flower bouquet). The citrus is barely there but acts as a moderator that keeps the suntan lotion note in check and the water element believable.
Beachy has great projection, is long-lasting, and has wonderful sillage, inviting others to join you for drinks by the pool. I would say this is a perfect scent for year-round—perfect for cold weather months while wishing for warmer days and warmer months to welcome the summer sun. It’s well on its way to becoming my signature scent.

  49. :

It smells like as bad version of cucumber melon scents from Bath and Body Works. I do not get the beach connection at all.

  50. :

This perfume is an all emcompassing trip to the sunny shore. Marine accord, watermelon, vanilla warmth, sunscreen, yep..it’s in there. Wonderful staying power as well which is impressive. I happen to love being near the water so i find this very appealing and as someone who lives in the midwest and welcomes Spring/Summer with opens arms, wearing Beachy gets me there a bit sooner.

  51. :

It’s fascinating to me how Lilly Pulitzer’s Beachy can encompass both “fresh” and “intoxicating” at once.
At first breath I’m enveloped in a salty, heady burst of citrus and tiare – almost gingery. After a few minutes, it calms to the jasmine with an oceany undertone – I could swear I can smell a lingering “sunscreen” note. It’s warm – airy and watery and yet comforting and inviting at the same time. As it dries down, it’s soft and sweet on my skin, and the fresher scent hangs onto my clothes. And there’s the faintest salty whisper, just as is always present in the coastal air.
It really is Beachy – reminds me of a warm, humid summer night at the beach, digging your toes in the damp sand while a soft, salty breeze plays with your hair. It is, without question, one of my favorite fragrances.

It smells like incense in a hippy shop.
Not bad but not something I would wear everyday.

Beachy is indeed reminiscent of a day at the beach. It is little salty with clean aquatics, and the tiare flower is present in the background, bringing freshness to the notes. The jasmine could be a little quieter, but otherwise, it is a quiet, pleasant floral aquatic.
I find the salt and amber combination of the base notes soothing, as the seaside is my favorite get-away spot. It’s not an exact approximation of a day at the beach, but it’s close enough to lighten the mid-winter blahs.

I have a decant of this, and it has grown on me over time. Love the initial orange burst (almost reminds me of orange blossoms), and I also enjoy the lovely jasmine and creaminess that the vanilla brings. Another note here that I love in this scent is either the frangipani or the tiara flower which gives a wonderful floral spiciness. Perfect for days when I don’t know what else to wear.

It’s a OK scent but has nothing really to do with beach. As ca.comMiss_bin mention, it starts off like JPG Ma Dame. (I really don’t like Ma Dame)However, this one is like Ma Dame with the milky aqua synthetic scent, but less headach-inducing(I still got a headach tho).
Later on, I detect a little hint of clean baby powder scent.(Maybe that’s Jasmine + Salt?) and this echo-y feeling does reminds me the beach, but not a natural one, it’s more like a artificial beach with heaps of party girls and drink.
This could be a cute and young scent for teenagers and early-twenty-somethings, but not my cup of tea.

I tried this on last night and thought it was very pleasant. I didn’t get the fruity notes listed as the opening, it pretty much went right into the tiare and vanilla. It did remind me of beachy fragrances, but also smelled very familiar, though I can’t think of what other perfume it reminds me of… I would have bought it if I felt it was more unique smelling.

I bought this a couple of months ago, and some days I like it but for the most part the dry down smells funny to me. I have alot of ocean/beach smells, but this I will probably give to my sister.

My favorite vacation is going to the beach, which my husband and I do every year. I am always on the look out for some type of aquatic, marine, beachy scent to make me feel like I’m on holiday.I couldn’t wait to try Beachy. Thought it would be the perfect scent. Took me a while to find it and when I finally did I was SO disappointed!!! It smelled like an old cardigan sweater packed in moth balls…at the beach. I ended up buying Squeeze. You can check out my review for that.

Really AMAZING fragrance-this begins a little like JPG Ma Dame, reminding me of something synthetic from childhod-maybe before the tiare kicks in, I’m getting a little smidge of Coppertone old school. Fragrance keeps the tiare/Hawiian flower vibe for about 10 minutes, then becomes more oceany, remaining for quite some time with a breath of salt wind, sea greens and white florals. Really excellent for an island vacay or just in the middle of a winter deep freeze to remind you it won’t last forever. Probably the best of the “seaside” scents ever.
