i detest how bitter the grapefruit is upon first spraying. it’s thick concentrated juice, no zest, and it sticks to the back of my throat. but i love–love–this particular vetiver that appears afterward–and everything that accompanies it !! i’m not usually up for trekking through the bitter haze to get there, so i’ve turned to spraying it on my velvet couch or my clothing and return to it later, and bliss. how i yearn to smell what this would be without the grapefruit……….

I strongly dislike the initial scent when I first put this on. However, after about ten minutes, it becomes one of the best fragrances I’ve ever worn. It definitely has legs, I can still smell it hours later. I got the initial tester as an add on freebie, but I’ll definitely be buying a full size bottle.

I wanted to rewrite my review, focusing on the comparison of EDP vs EDT.
I have been enjoying a few 2ml samples of Vetyverio EDP, and came to the opinion that the EDT is better.
I originally tried a sample of the EDT, which I liked very much. I think it’s the best fresh, rooty, vegital haitian vetiver I have ever tried, and I’ve tried or have Sycomore, Ecre Noir, Tom Ford and Guerlain vetivers.
The edt is best because it stays fresh, and somewhat sheer, transparent, light.
In the edt the grapefruit comes through more, and the vetiver stays fresh and light. Then you have the nice florals that feel right with the overall light feel.
Even the edt is not so fresh as Tom Ford Grey Vetiver or Atelier Cologne’ s Vetiver Fatal; it’s a bit more beefy and substantive.
The EDP has better projection and longevity, but the vetiver feels too dense, the overall vib changes to allmost a light Oriental; feeling that there are balsamic resinous notes. Then the flowers and grapefruit, citrus are there, but are dominated and drowned out by the “dense” vetiver.
So the EDP feels like pickles and ice cream, just doesn’t work for me. But some may like it more.
Dyptique is my favorite house, and I would consider the EDT of Vetyverio possibly bottle worthy.
I think Terre de Hermes EDT is the best designer fragrance to come out in the past 15 years, but longevity is not great.
So they came out with a EDP version, that becomes more dense with Cardamom added, and becomes slightly different fragrance, that I don’t care for.
Sometimes the Perfumer and fragrance house, intentionally make the edt and edp of the same frag to be different, so some would like to have both, or some may like the difference of one over the other.
With Dyptique I prefer the EDP of Tam Dao, Philosykos, and Eau Duelle better; The EDT of Vetyverio, L’Ombre Dans Lieu, and Volutes better.
    Rating: 8/10

Very similar to encre noir sport. I have both. Fresh citrusy veriver, but at the same time its very smooth. Has the natural diptyque dna. If you like vetiver, u should check this one out.

Clean, salty, wheaty, comforting. This is an amazing fragrance. Not harsh like some vetivers can be, but smooth and salty. It’s refreshing.

This is one of the most beautiful perfumes I’ve ever came across. At first I didn’t give it much attention because the perfume bottle is very import for me and I don’t like Diptyque’s visual identity. Later I’ve found myself craving a comfy scent for winter. I considered Jo Malone’s Dark Amber and Ginger Lily, VC&Arpels Bois d’Iris, but even though those are wonderful scents, I always got sick of them after a few hours. I’m not looking for anything sexy, as I’m married and my husband hates perfumes, so I wanted something really for my personal comfort, not to impress anyone. Vetyverio it is! I have a tester and will buy a full bottle.
For me the Vetiver is the maestro of this scent: it keeps everything together and dictates the character of it. The woods give depth and comfort, the flowers bring mistery and femininity. The citrus just a slightly freshness, not to much, so it keeps it’s balance.
I really think all perfumes should be wore by any gender, enough with this segregations! But I do have my personal taste, and for me Vetyverio has the perfect balance of an unissex scent. No one would be insecure to wear it!
About the comparision with Bal D’Afrique, I see where is comes from. I have both testers an tested side by side. I cannot distinguish the notes in Bal d’Afrique, but in a general way I find it a bit too strong/sweet. Stomach sickness inducing. I don’t wanna be unfair, it’s a beautiful scent and it’s not sick as floral gourmand. It’s just that I could not wear it for a long time and I feel Vetyverio is the same “vibe”, without the sickness.

The grapefruit kisses your nose as if you just peeled one open. Then the vetiver hits with a bang. Not much of a nose journey as notes are obvious.
Pretty disappointed in the longevity 3/10 and sillage 2/10 which make it tough to justify spending much money on.
That being said I do enjoy this scent and wish my skin could just smell like this by default. I would buy a lifetime supply of a soap that smelled like Vetyverio.

EDT. The perfume opens up with a HUGE bang of vetiver. The opening is pungent, and bitter, reminiscent of a pharmacy. Huge projection, and then it dies down all of a sudden and youre left with a gorgeous floral musk with hints of fruit, fresh and creamy but not sweet. I find the drydown really pretty, but cant get past the nauseating initial blast.

There is an EDP coming fall of 2017. Sometimes fragrantica does not add a separate listing, however in the case of Diptyque they are often very different in composition.

Pleasant, but a reminiscent of a sort of hospital smell that slowly mellows; slightly menthol scent not unlike their Oyedo fragrance… but greener and more floral. Not overpowering but still fairly good sillage

Oh wow….just wow. This one is a beauty. Not floral, not herbal, not woody…it is everything at once. Pure & light yet deep; comforting & warm yet fresh; familiar yet mysterious. It can be dressed up or dressed down. It can be a comfort scent or a thing of mystery and allure. It will not offend anyone, it is perfect for daytime/office use….it will make those around you take notice….it has that “what is that??” quality to it. It is rather unusual, not your typical department store “clone”. Definitely unisex. One of my faves from Dyptique. After a few hours it took a “clean” or “soapy” character, which I loved. So many shades to this scent and it is blended so well. Everything works in harmony. Would definitely recommend as a blind buy unless you are completely turned off by green, woody scents, since these are present here to a certain extent.

I can barely smell it. The fruitiest vetiver I’ve ever smelled. Feminine, and nothing to write home about

  13. :

It is a very beautiful scent, but too bad it didn’t last more than 2 hrs on my skin. Sillage is not so great either.

Not a fan of this one – nothing bad, but nothing particularly good, interesting, or appealing for me. Nothing to see here.

I’m not a huge fan a vetiver but I do like this fragrance, it makes the note more easy to smell. This is vetiver all the way too. Not too sweet, not too spicy or woody. Very well balanced. Good fragrance that lasts pretty well too

This has become my signature fragrance over the past 6 years, though I find myself straying from it lately. I purchased it as a blind buy in college but find that my nose has gotten used to it. It smells, to me, like bright yellow and is so very easy and clean to wear. This is not a masculine vetiver like Guerlain’s but rather is clean, bright and softened by rose. I can wear this year round and smell both office appropriate as well as intensely feminine, as it dries to a powdery rose finish softened by lots of citrus. I don’t get the reviews comparing this to curry or the complaints about sillage and longevity, but perhaps it just works very well for my skin chemistry. This is gorgeous for spring and summer but perfect year round as it is crisp, clean and refreshing without smelling like lemon lysol. Beautiful!

LOL I just had to write a review in response to neonaya, who was wondering what type of female would like this. Me! A middle aged, straight, cisgender female who is silly and creative and quiet. And this scent seems to suit me and it is one of my favorites. To me, it is a fresh, slightly floral scent with a soft, soothing vetiver that makes me happy when I wear it. I think it’s perfectly suitable for anyone who loves subtle aromatic scents. Not sure what else I can say about it.
EDIT: I would be remiss if I didn’t also add that fragrance has no gender or sexual preference. Or age. Or….Or….

  18. :

I get what all these reviews are saying about the dominant citrus and stuff… but… when I first smelled this, I honestly thought “sexy green salad dressing.” I absolutely love it, and while the listed notes do not really suggest much of a “spring green,” that is what I get out of this. The bitter grapefruit makes it quite spritely. This is not an overtly vegetal scent, but the spicy carrot seed gives it just a touch earthiness. I smell a tiny bit of cilantro in there. It’s leaning strongly in the fresh direction, but it has a real heart and soul… not anemic like some other fresh green scents out there.

  19. :

    3 out of 5

Nice, very nice vetiver in this, which perhaps doesn’t add a huge amount to vetiver-centred perfumes but is lovely for what it is.
It opens with a classic citrus/vetiver, then after an hour mostly vetiver remains, which is no surprise since vetiver is always very lasting. There is as some have mentioned, a long lasting citrus, blended perfectly with vetiver, like bitter lime or lemon peel but not harsh or too strong
This focuses on vetiver’s green astringency, that dry yet refreshing quality that makes it so lovely in summer or any time you want to feel relaxed and refreshed. Vetyverio would be a lovely unisex perfume in summer – after your shower with your fresh clean shirt or blouse, perfect!
I prefer this to Lalique’s Encre Noire Pour Homme though, as it’s slightly less masculine in feel – smoother.
I adore vetiver because of my experience of burning vetiver incense years ago while house sitting in a forest ranger’s cottage, it always brings back that utter peace, so one of the most calming things I know of is bathing with a few drops of pure vetiver oil.
The vetiver in this perfume is up there in standard,it’s just very, very nice

I agree with the below comment. Different than I expected.
This is more about grapefruit and citrus than it is about Vetiver. Vetiver takes a back seat here. At first I thought it was lemongrass but after seeing the ingredient listing on the bottom of the box I understand a little more now. Definitely Grapefruit, lemon, citrus, etc. This would be a perfect gift for a friend of mine that loves grapefruit. (Hermes etc) (But probably not for me.) The dry down is soft, not harsh. Subtle.
I am looking to expand my Vetiver collection and was looking for it to be a bit more pronounced, however, I would not let my expectations dictate whether I like something or not. This is a nice fragrance. What I like about it is that it is light and fresh.
Not an in your face Vetiver.

Grapefruit dominates this fragrance. Vetiver plays a more supporting role, providing a backdrop against which the grapefruit shines. That said, the citrus element is not typical. It is a subdued, warmer version of the fruit, lacking overt freshness in favor of headiness.
Musk also plays a role in this scent. Though, it is definitely a laundry musk.
Overall, it is a quality fragrance, though not one I personally connect with. In other words, great on others, but not ideal for my personal use.
P.s. The silage is relatively small.

  23. :

    5 out of 5

Vetyverio is an honest take on vetiver which seems drenched in citrus juice. You have a melange of lemon and grapefruit juices with both the peel and the pulp – with more grapefruit, I’d say – on one side. On the other side, there is a fine vetiver note, with its usual rooty, slightly earthy quality. Those two work in conjunction for a solid period of time. The opening is a touch more hesperidic, and the drydown is more vetiver dominant, but the entire perception of smell changes only slightly.
Being that I failed to spot any other note, and considering everything I already wrote, this is a definition of a linear scent(like a bunch of Diptyques, to be honest), but it’s not that I need too much complexity out of a vetiver-themed scent. This iteration of it is fresh, pleasant and safe in a good way. Also, it feels very natural, with solid quality of ingredients. Longevity is excellent – in fact, I haven’t had a better longevity from any other Diptyque(EDP or EDT) as it’s easily double digits with Vetyverio. It projection is quite personal, though. I find Vetyverio perfect for office wear and for warmer seasons altogether.
I haven’t tried the most respected takes on vetiver, like MPeG or Frederic Malle. That being said, this is my favorite fresh version of it, as I love the natural quality of both citruses and roots and, especially, the way they mesh together. It deserved a high mark from me. Another pretty Diptyque.

Love this vetyver take on. Very fresh, earthy, classy scent. Vetyver, wood and citrus. Gracefully composed. Wears comfortably and everyone wants to sniff you to find out what it is the greatness you smell like.
Great for both ladies and gents with a great taste!

the vetiver here is undeniable, that much is true, however the yucky green/chlorophyll element is muted by the citrus. it’s sorta like not hearing the part of a song that you don’t like and it’s awesome…
this may be one of the few vetiver scents i can actually stomach. i dunno why but vetiver just ain’t my bag, man. that this one is pretty tight, yo. i like it a lot…

  26. :

This is gorgeous. It smells like the briny, weedy, smell of citrus peels. Theres an ozonic, bug spray note I really like. A little aftershave and cilantro. This would make a perfect signature. Subtle, clean, and distinct.

  27. :

it’s sandy, warm and dry; but nothing of the earthy and muddy notes that must have.
a disobeyed promise, if I think to VETIVER
pleasant, fine, weareable maybe more with an hot-humid weather.
for me too light and with a poor sillage.

  28. :

This is a really nice clean vetiver scent that is inoffensive. Very wearable. Longevity could be better, but it is a beautiful scent overall.

A Magical fragrance indeed works so beautifully in hot and musty climate, never puts one off even on a miserable day, gives you the subtle confidence (vetiver) with hint that “everything will be ok” (floral); this is a quintessential vetiver-floral-musk great for guys and just “ok” for ladies as i feel its more masculine ; its not a power scent ; i am big lover of power scent that swims around with alpha-vetiver infused concoction but off lately, I’m aware that all boys are not men and only boys need to scream for attention ; because all the power scent ultimately has a low or a lousy dry down which is extremely far away from the opening or more like a “leftover”, its unevolved and uninvolving.
True man leaves his mark in a subtle way..and his aura radiates long after he has left…this is now my signature scent good for everyday usage sillage is ok, but no matter how many sprays you go this never overpowers but rather “masks” you literally in its aura…well done! 8/10.
This will replace my classical Armani Pour Homme – which i used for about a decade as a signature scent, you will appreciate this fragrance more if you use for about 10 days and not use anything or something else for then next ten…Its Magic is never forgotten.

I liked the way this smelled on the paper tester at the Nordstrom’s counter, so I tried some on my arm. It was nice and fresh/spicy for about 10 minutes, and then it started getting floral …. and floral …. and even more floral. There may have been a variety of flowers in there, but the main one I smelled was ylang-ylang. It was too much. I can only take small, well-blended (read: hidden) amounts of a select few florals, and ylang-ylang isn’t one of them. It’s way too sweet, and its prominent role in Vetyverio made the whole thing powerfully cloying. I had to scrub it off after 45 minutes. Maybe the vetiver comes out eventually, maybe it doesn’t. I couldn’t let it ride long enough to find out.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

citrus drenching the green, unripe mess that is vetiver. and it works. a little too short-lived, but nice enough. 7/10…

  32. :

    5 out of 5

This is a very pretty and presentable vetiver – cleaned up, crisp and soapy – white shirt, calm and clean. No dirty roots in this one, but I still like it a lot. As a lover of smoky vetiver I found this a bit boring, but it’s a beautiful and elegant scent that I think anyone could like.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

    What a disappointment.
I love the raunchy, just-dumped-water-on-the-campfire-cinders quality of vetiver, and it is so totally absent from this perfume that I wonder if they just thought Vetyverio was a really cool name and couldn’t wait to use it.
After a very, very weak beginning that is probably grapefruit (I’m a little hard-put to say, as I hate grapefruit and never eat it, and it smells to me like nothing much), I finally got a chemical orange that smelled exactly like the “citrus” floor cleaner pads you can buy for a Swiffer mopper in this part of the world. It’s not a bad smell, but I can’t think of any reason you’d want to wear it. After two hours, if I held my nose touching my wrist, I could smell vetiver a little bit.
I was really hoping for a Big Bad Wolf vetiver, stomping through the forest all toothy and with an eye for the ladies, but this is just a sad little ankle biter with chronic halitosis.

Wow! I thought I had found the vetiver of ALL vetivers in Creed and Guerlain but I was wrong. Vetyverio by Diptyque is now my new favorite vetiver. In the initial spray I get lots of vetiver and the dry down I smell vetiver with some citrus. It is smooth and not over powering. Perfect for the office or daytime wear. I get compliments when I wear this magical fragrance.

I was recommended this Vetyver by a stunningly beautiful boutique employee in one of their city branches. She looked like a young Whitney Houston and her name is Grace.
This is a phenomenal Vetyver, that smells rich, dense, earthy, and slightly dirty but in a very sexually confident kind of way.
I am using it as a base to be layered with something more floral. I used my favourite Diptyque floral “Orlene” with this creation and together they truly work magic.
Easily one of the best and warmest Vetyvers out there at the moment. Cannot recommend it enough. And that lady Grace, she is so beautiful…….sigh!
One of the best reference Vetyvers around! 8/10

I have to agree with Roge’ on this one. It does smell like the bottom of my mom’s purse back in the 70’s. There’s nothing unisex about it; and it kind of has a headache inducing stink to it. To those who say it’s a “clean Vetyver” – I STRONGLY disagree. There’s an undertone of used cooking oil to this fragrance. I see no comparison at all with Tam Dao. Tam Dao is light and refreshing – and can actually be pulled off by a man. This one is a scrubber!

A fresh and clean vetiver, well mixed with citrus notes. Bright and playful, well suited for younger boys and girls imo.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

As with other Diptyque unisex scents, I prefer this on a woman. Vetyverio is, at least on my skin, fresh but warm, light but heavy. An intriguing quality that I happen to appreciate in scents. It’s a nice addition to my rotation. I also like to layer this with Do Son to tone down the sweetness and add a bit of dimension.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

Lovely, bright citrus and clean vetiver…this does have some character created by other notes but my nose can’t really detect what they are? Not much else to say.
It’s in the vein of Jo Malone for me which is only a good thing,
As I’ve mentioned in other Diptyque reviews I really like everything from this house and vetyverio is no exception… it’s just not exceptional.

  41. :

    4 out of 5

To me it smells like Prada Amber Pour Homme + Bright, citrusy Vetiver.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

Vetyverio opens with the refreshing aroma of a grapefruit being peeled in a grassy meadow. This fades after about 20 minutes and it becomes a simple, uplifting, bright vetiver. I don’t really detect any other notes besides vetiver and citrus. It’s pleasant, unisex, green, and something nice to wear on a hot and humid day.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

Citrus-like, floral vetiver. Minimal vetiver. It’s hard to describe this fragrance, but it reminds me of an aromatic/spiced fizzy apple cider and sparkly champagne. It must be the grapefruit and other citrus + spices that create this illusion.
On me – it lasts and lasts, esp on my clothes. Or at least I am very sensitive to it and can smell it all day. I agree with another reviewer calling it a fruity, somewhat woody floral.
I kept mine in the fridge and used it quite a lot during the heatwave. It was my ‘to go’, no-brainer, hot summer fragrance. Would make a pretty safe gift.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

I’m having a hard time describing this, but…..I love it.
Like all the Diptyque fragrances I’ve tried (the ones I liked anyway), this too has that fresh, fizzy feeling upon application.
It’s a very clean vetiver, not dirty at all. Kind of like a fruity, floral, somewhat woody scent. I definitely smell apricot in this.
On my skin this seems to get stronger and stronger, so I’m not sure why people are having problems with longevity.
Really nice. Suitable for warm weather. I highly recommend it.

  45. :

When I blindly bought the full bottle I have thought: oh, oh what have I done because I could not stand the Vetiver from L’Artisan (it is for me just black tea) but this fragrance turned out a pretty surprise although I prefer it when my husband wears it because it is a bit too masculine for my taste.

  46. :

    3 out of 5

I love vetiver, and unfortunately I am not a fan of Diptyque Vetyverio. As DresdenDoll notes, it does have similarities to Tam Dao, but I prefer that one, if for no other reason that it has more personality. You definitely do not need both. Vetyverio, like Tam Dao, is light and elegant, very nearly too elegant for my taste. Although unisex, it definitely veers to the feminine side. I sprayed my sample on right out of the shower and it did not make me feel clean or fresh, but “perfumed,” in a way that is heavy at the same time that it is light…An oxymoron I know, but maybe that sums up this frag for me. It does not quite know what it wants to be…

  47. :

    4 out of 5

I love Diptyque. Thats why I am So sad Vetyverio Stays only for 2 hours max. on my Skin.
I get very green and fresh notes some kind of weed and bergamot in the first minutes and then a lovely citric vetiver. I like it is so fresh and unisex. After an hours it seems musk and vetiver dominate and fade quickly.
Better then many Vetiver Parfums but low sillage. Stays a little to close to my skin.
Well I got the EDT… Dunno if there is a EDP available. If yes I will update soon…
    scent: 5/10
    longevity: 4/10
    sillage: 3/10

  48. :

    4 out of 5

This has become my favourite Diptyque scent, just edging out Tam Dao from the top spot. You can tell they’re from the same perfumer, both sheer high quality woody fragrances, though both similar in feeling so that you probably don’t need both (sadly). What makes Vetyverio the winner for me is it feels a bit rounder as Tam Dao is so dry. Though I love both.
Vetyverio is a lightweight vetiver, with grapefruit and cedar and a blush of rose. Though unisex, this feels like a vetiver for women, in the same way Femininite du Bois is a feminine rendering of cedar. It smells fresh yet deep and is hugely versatile. Can’t wait to get this in my collection!

  49. :

    4 out of 5

Diptyque is a brand that usually does not resonate with me, and Vetyverio is my most disliked offering from them. When I first put it on, it smelled like some kind of Eau de Cologne–the vetyver was so shockingly watery and transparent. I did not like it at all, but like all perfumes I don’t like in the first 5 minutes, I know to give it time.
Unfortunately time didn’t help any. An hour later I suddenly remembered I had put perfume on. There was no sillage to speak of from the get-go, so I literally forgot I was wearing anything. I put my nose to my wrist and was further surprised at how much I hated what I smelled. It was so sour I could hardly believe any perfume could be so sour. Just a ghastly, vile, vomit-like sour scent that I will never wear again. Lack of sillage is a good thing this time!
I see why another reviewer mentioned vinegar. This is the most sour perfume in existence.

Is one of my favourite perfumes. Unisex, for everyday. Heart notes take me to the forest, were I can smell the green leaves and the morning dew. My sister smelled it last summer and I had to give her for birthday.

Vetiver is a note I have only recently grown to love. It’s a scent that I really enjoy smelling on a man’s skin, and also something that I don’t mind wearing myself. I prefer it when presented in a fresh manner, usually when paired with citrus.
I first heard of Diptyque’s Vetyverio in a YouTube video, described as a fragrance that both she and her husband loved. After reading the scent pyramid online, I went to my nearest Diptyque seller with high expectations. Thankfully, most of my expectations were met.
Vetyverio is quite a crisp interpretation of vetiver. Although the opening was rather sharp, bold and salty on my skin, the heart and drydown were much smoother. It’s a lovely blend of dry vetiver, sparkling grapefruit and subtle, spicy nutmeg. Vetyverio is easily unisex.
The heart has a more floral texture, introducing some sweet ylang ylang, pink rose and rich geranium. Apparently this was Diptyque’s intention; “to blur the lines between masculine vetiver and feminine floral bouquets”.
When compared to heavier, vetiver-laden scents like Chanel’s Sycomore, Diptyque’s Vetyverio is much paler, and a far sight fresher. For those of you that dislike most vetiver scents, you may find yourself enjoying Vetyverio’s inoffensive approach.
I guess you could say that I’m a sucker for soft, crisp vetiver scents. I would happily douse myself in Vetyverio for Spring and Summer. It’s quite perfect in those regards. I only wish that the lasting strength was a little bit better. It seems a shame to spend so much money on something that struggles to last.
All in all, Diptyque’s Vetyverio is a polite, crisp and clean vetiver fragrance that everyone should try at least once to get a feel for it. I recommend.

Love the scent but the sillage is pretty non existent and it only lasts a few hours

An enjoyable vetiver, but nothing too special. Comes from the ELDO Fat Electrician class of vetivers: semi-sweet, with a prominent clove sort of note. Therefore, I’d guess that Vetyverio probably uses Haitian Vetiver.
Still, I’d consider this to be one of the top five vetivers on the market right now. Why? Because, for me, it better executes the Fat Electrician idea, by using a lot less clove, and more of a smooth nutmeg/chypre sort of accord. As sf2explus states in his review below, the sillage drops down after about an hour or two, but the scent is still there.
I like Vetyverio a lot, but I feel like the projection could be a little better.

Very nice citrusy at top, however, when it blends in with the floral notes 15 minutes later, the citrus becomes sort of a hint of unpleasant household cleaner scent. The middle is very comfy and relaxing, but a bit generic. Musky mix with citrus is not a good idea in this case, it really reminds me of some vinegar/toilet cleaner for some reason.

Starts off with a very clean floral musk and vetiver with some light citrus. the vetiver here is very clean and never becomes too masculine but does stay in the fragrance all the way through, never becomes too soapy at all, like alot of the vetiver scents out there. to me the citrus is only in the top notes than mixes nicely with the whole scent never beomes too citrussy at all. i get a slight hint of rose in the backround and some other florals that are very light with hints of woody notes and peach skin lie in the background of the scent. This is not a traditional vetiver scent that smell very classic and old school, TBH this is quite the opposite very modern take here and also one of the easy to wear vetivers on the market.
Nothing like Guerlain vetiver or Tom ford Grey vetiver although i would say it’s closer to grey vetiver. Instead of a very strong vetiver note here it’s light and clean not dirty vetiver scent that you get in alot of the vetivers used typicaly by men.
Women should at least try this and men aswel. I find it very refreshing scent and very well made.
Its strange how this one doesn’t have much of a following here but to me Its an excellent scent for those that didnt like tom ford’s grey vetiver try this.
This is an EDT so dont expect it to last a whole day. Best for Spring/Summer, but can be worn year round. Sillage is excellent for the first two hours. Lasting power is an easy 6-8 hours than close to the skin but move around a little and people would definatly smell it on you. I use two sprays to the neck one on the chest and im done. One of the better diptyques imo.
    Scent 8.5/10

To me this is more of a musk than anything else. The vetiver is there, but it’s not the most important part of the composition. Vetyverio starts out “perfumey”, musky, and a little citrusy. None of the flower notes that are listed in the description stand out recognizably, so presumably they have fused into the general mix. As soon as the sharp citrus in the opening dissipates, the scent becomes mainly a very fuzzy, slightly powdery, clean musk that tickles my nose. By fuzzy, I mean a note that is rough and prickly, like a wool sweater, a piece of Velcro, or the skin of a hairy peach. Generally, I don’t like “fuzzy” scents, so that quality ruins it for me and masks the vetiver.
There is a lot of sillage, making me think it would be very easy to overdo, especially if sprayed. Despite the fact that it starts out so strong, it is not exceptionally long lasting, about 4-6 hours tops. If you’re looking for vetiver, this just isn’t it. If you’re looking for a strong, greenish, fuzzy musk, it’s definitely worth a try.
