an interesting scent. The citrus opening is tempered by the plum and fig so, although it smells fresh, it doesn’t come off like a citrusy “sport” scent. Although it dries down as a woodier scent, the citrus remains leaving it as a fresh soapy scent. Quite nice actually. it has good longevity and projection on my skin. Not a bad buy at all.

If you’ve ever squeezed a fresh, ripe orange and seen the fine mist of oil explode from the surface of its skin then likely you smelled that intoxicating essence of orange that is as provocative as the flavor itself. I always liked to rub it on the back of my hand to return to later for that hit of orange magic. That, and the aroma of Banana Republic M, the light yellow, are quite similar.

This has been relaunched in Eau De Parfum strength along with the new iconic series from BR. And it smells epic. Love this scent. Nineties genius at its finest. Candied citrus heaven. If you want to rediscover this scent try it in the new Eau de parfum strength. For a mall scent this is a winner

There seems to be so many versions of BR M out there that I wonder which one I am reviewing…
Some pictures show a bottle with blue liquid, some yellow, and mine is a light purple. The ‘M’ is in different fonts, some solid block letters, some.. well you get the point. I will review mine: light purple liquid, block M.
This cannot be a serious EDT. I have never smelled anything so faint right out of the bottle. It is an immediate skin scent, and diminishes from there. I get about an hour of skin scent and then….poof-gone. Nothing. Not even a residual whiff. You know those seltzer waters that have the “essence” of a flavor, but when you drink them, all you get is, well, bubble water? This is the equivalent in an EDT. I don’t even know how it can be advertised and sold as a fragrance. Please, DO NOT buy the recent formulation of this. It is a waste of money. It may have been good when in its original 1996 formulation. Seriously, colored water with a little hint of something. So bad.

Very nice, citrusy, semi sweet smell. Very close to Hilfiger Athletics, one of my favorite juices. To bad they discontinued Hilfiger Athletics, it was one of if not the best smelling from the Hilfiger line. (Go figure they would discontinue such a gem). Banana Republic M has filled that void for me. Pretty good longevity on my skin 6-8 hours. You can find this one for under $20 for the 3.4 oz. Over all I would give this an 8.5/10 score.

Ok.. So I get alot of the earthy notes in this one.. Just a hint of citrus…. I do like it but its quite unusual… A bit soapy in a way. Very different from anything else I have. It is quite subtle though. Nothing overpowering. Definitely warm weather and daytime scent. Im going to give this one a 7/10 overall.

FINALLY this fragrance has been added..I Just LOVE this scent..it’s So Juicy and Fresh with the woods and herbs blended so beautifully.. But who are we kidding here this is Not a Complex scent,M is simply ALL About……The ORANGE!! If You can Imagine a Citrus cologne growing on a Tree this would be the one you’d end up picking right off The Branch!! Perfect for Spring and Summer, even nice on a Rainy Fall day,IMO this is very Unisex…mind you I’m writing this review on The Original 1996 formula I know it was discontinued for quite some years and only recently brought back, Hopefully B.R. didn’t do too much tampering with this Beauty!
