I bought this on a crazy whim – looking for a bergamot scent, and too mean to pay proper money. At £12 I must say it’s a very decent bargain buy. I get more lime than bergamot though. It goes on in a rush that’s a little synthetic, but settles in moments to something much more natural and nicely citrus but not too sharp, with floral undertones. I don’t get any of the earthier notes, just lime, bergamot, jasmine, lily and galbanum – maybe a hint of amber.
It’s a bit too sweet for high summer, but I use it as a linen freshener, the sort of thing to spray on your pillow before bed, or your socks before you go out. I can certainly see why Austin Reed sold it, it would go well with a suit in the Spring, if you can’t afford anything better.

This is a gem. I have bought so many fragrances, and cost me a Kings ransom. I came across this when I went into Austin Reed, for a suit. I tried as you do. Not thinking anymore of it and sprayed a card of it. I just kept sniffing my wrist and thought this is fantastic. I left this in the car. Everyone who sat in the car said even two weeks later, wow what a beautiful scent. So I bought it. Every shop, or any place I go people ask what aftershave I am wearing. Austin Reed sadly closed down last year, I dont know if a fragrance house bought this or will still produce it. I bought it for the silly price of £14 and one thing you you will not get is people smelling like you. It is fresh, long lasting. Juniper berry and fresh citric notes, with a woodsy after shot. Perfect. I have a repertoire of many many frags, and I think this is one of the ones that gets the most compliments.
