A soft, charming, laid back woody fragrance. Emits the same vibe as Lalique Encre Noire but Antonio has a little more buzz to it, making it fresher.
The smell is softly spicy, powdery, & woody.
This solidifies Antonio Banderas as one of the best celebrity perfume houses.

just wanted to reiterate my review from a few years ago…this fragrance is REALLY good,it just has below average projection. Still super charming.

    Good daytime winter fragrance.
No sweetness but sophisticated and masculine.
I get pepper and herbs perhaps a fougere hint also which is probably the fir ingredients.
Doesn’t change much on my skin and only lasts 2 to 3 hours.
Believe it is discontinued but I bought it in Spain a couple of years ago.
Nice to have in my collection and a good standby if you want to be fragranced but not too perfumed if you get my meaning..

A kind soul gifted this to me sometime ago. (Actually, a gift set with the EDT and an aftershave). The woody, spice and musk notes play together here quite nicely. For me, this is a good scent for both the workplace and at home.
Oh, lest I forget, there was one little issue here…the sprayer on the EDT comes off about half of the time. So, to reiterate, the scent itself is good, but the bottle itself could use some improvement.

Smells of the old timers, gives me a headache even if i spray a small quantity.. NOT for me.. Seduction in black is my favorite from the Antonio Banderas collection..

Maybe I’m missing something but I get none of the complex honey, spicy notes that different reviewers mention. To me, this smells like a very standard drugstore mens’ cologne aimed at “the mature gentleman”. It lasts, but fades to a watery, unpleasant “old man” fragrance. My advice? Give it a miss and if you’re on a tight budget this is easily trumped by any of the equally cheap Beckham male fragrances.

Shockingly good. Somehow manages a Honey-like accord despite using only woodsy notes plus musk. Really, really pleasing. The packaging is HORRIBLE. The sprayer popped off after the second spray. No hyperbole, the best value in the game by a mile.

ok so while going through my wardrobe for clothes to give away I found a shirt I wore last summer and I smelled it and believe me or not but I can smell Antonio Banderas Antonio on it like I just sprayed it! I’m speechless, what a powerful juice!

I have tested the version of this called “Antonio” ~ packaged identically excepting the color, which is a pale green. As usual, I respect any release by Antonio Banderas. But this is delightful!
What do I smell? Lime. Gorgeous Lime and Linden blossom. Perhaps some gentle musk, of the powdery variety, with a hint of greens. The overall essence is simply of lime, subtle and long lasting. Not sour lime, but a gently rounded and softened lime. It puts me in mind of a men’s version of the idea behind “Green Tea”, though with lime rather than tea!
You can expect decent longevity, low sillage, gentle presence, and GOOD quality. There is no way this smells like a loud celebrity scent. Antonio would be equally suited to a perfume snob or a cautious newbie. In a word, ‘refined’.
    FIVE STARS!

This is my all time favorite scent for men. It has a very warm spicy woodsy scent that drives me crazy. It isn’t a seasonal cologne, but I prefer it in the fall, the scent goes well with the falling leaves. Even though it was made for men I like to wear it too. It does make a nice unisex cologne.

Attractive Bottle, top quality sprayer. It is fresh and floral. I think it could be Unisex. Doesn’t seem seasonal, I wear year round. I apply 3 sprays and get all day performance.
Those that question the color… There is a difference in color between Antonio after shave and Antonio Eau de Toilette. The color difference doesn’t mean you purchased a fake. I know the good stuff gets faked, but could someone make money faking a budget scent? It’s good juice, really good, but c’mon this is $20 at the drugstore.

Cinnamon, fresh spice and musk fragrance. It lasts 3-4 hs. Good projection and sillage. I like it very much. Hard to find it in Brazil.

This is one of the best perfumes I had.
Because of it I have received many compliments from both women and men (which is strange).
Anyway this is a great fragrance that is warm, a bit citrus-oriented and soapy, however has a nice touch in it. I see it as an evening wear, however this could go pretty well on any occasion.
Definitely one of the best in AB line, and it is a shame that it has been discontinued, as I seem to be unable to find it anywhere.

  28. :

agreed; I get the honey as well, and with the honeycomb stamp on the bottle, it can’t be our imaginations.

  29. :

There are not many reviews of this interesting fragrance but what I read in those that they are all diifferent (mainly on Fragrantica)!
Anise?!, Honey, no honey, leather, smokey, very masculine, unisex, patchouli, no patchouli, woody, soapy, cinnamon, no cinnamon etc. Fun to read them all!
What I get is an original, dry, woody, slightly spiced but pretty good masculine smell which exists mainly out of woody notes surrounded by a light citrus, some fir, cinnamon (but very little) and some amber in the drydown. I do not smell patchouli, honey, leather, soap or whatsoever. After the fresh opening of 10 mins the fragrance is pretty linear and inoffensive.
Good for casual and office! Sillage is average and longevity above average (almost 8 hrs!).
Not bad and one of the best Antonio Banderas has to offer for men of the age between 25-50 years old. Not bad at all as this fragrance is very inexpensive! I would not buy this again when my 100ml is empty but enjoy it while it’s there! Rating: 7/10

I can’t believe that they have not listed honey and “green(s)” notes above.
This is a great inoffensive scent that wears REALLY CLOSE to the skin! It does not seem to last long, maybe 4 hours.
I love it but you should not expect longevity from this, take along a miniature with you if you want to wear it through the work day or evening activity.
Once again, it is a very simple but different scent: HONEY & GREENS.

Even though it’s a men’s fragrance, I – a female – like to wear it. I wouldn’t exactly classify it as unisex, however…but when applied with a light hand I pull it of very well. It has a distinctly “green” smell with notable citrus and woods and, while sharp at first, settles into a very dignified but fresh, lush but airy scent…if that makes sense. Also…I’m surprised people get cinnamon from this fragrance. Nothing in this fragrance seems remotely cinnamon to me and nothing in the notes resemble cinnamon in any way.

An amazing relevation for me! Antonio is an extremely pleasant and attractive for women scent. I don’t feel honey – the base is woody balsamic with a citrusy opening. A bit soapy. Definitely, Antonio reminds me of less sweet and more spicy version of Canali signature fragrance. Longevity is great.

I got this as a present a couple years ago on my name-day (Antonio – Antonis:)
Initially, the notes of citrus and wood open rather “loud” but -thankfully- after a while, they blend much better with the woody notes becoming more attractive and noticeable over the time. Then it turns more soapy and its longivety is really good, at least 5 hours on my skin.
I wear it at work especially during spring and summer and people say it smells nice on me!
Overall, a pleasant masculine scent for casual everyday use.
I just wish it was a bit less citric.
    My rating: 6/10

Masculine Gentleman like yet mysteriously seductive woman magnet scent…is smart, simple, and alluring a hit in all the males who received it as a gift from me! They could not stop thanking me…capturing memorable.

  36. :

A woody/cinnamon start. Then it first evolves into a scent a bit like CityTower by Bogart – then it ends up as a nice fresh mellow scent with nutty woods. Staying power and sillage are OK. Nice bottle but a cheaply made top. It’s not a bad fragrance for men.

to me this is a very soft scent and i don’t smell patchouli at all. just a simple nice everyday men’s cologne. i love when my hunny wears this one.

I like this. The first time I smelled it on a test strip I got an image of honey. So I think I can understand the honeycomb pattern on the bottle. Now the more I smell it since I bought a bottle I am reminded of Polo Sport.

fine fragrance, i think AB is a very under rated frag. in terms of the price .Longevity is decent , blend of notes is superb .

  40. :

    4 out of 5

I think I have a bad bottle, the juice in my bottle is green…so maybe I’m not getting the right impression. It started out smelling like cheap incense, and the drydown reminded me of 212 Men, which I love. I’ll look for a bottle with juice of the right color and see if it’s any better.

I support ricardohmedina, as yet for me this is the best from brand “Antonio Banderas” and very lasting fragrance at a such price. My colleague used this perfume for work and in the daytime. I had one association: bees, honeycomb, wax, propolis… Even design of bottle – a glass honeycomb. IMHO, it spruced up for cheerful, but moderate man, or rather for muted optimist.

For me, this is the best Bandera’s. It´s well done and worth its price. Good silage, great longevity and atracts compliments. I use it sometimes for work, and always during the day time.

I do not find any bad about Antonio, by Antonio Banderas… it’s a safe scent and I and others who smelled it closely on me admired it… for me no perfume is an everyday perfume… coz I get bored myself if I use the same fragrance more than 2-3 days…
It’s a justified value against money in which u can get a 100ml of this… starts off citrusy and woody and remains linear.. Haven’t feel much change from its start to end.. Silage and longevity are quite reasonable.
I give it a sure thumb up!

A plain and simple generic patchouli scent. Completely unoriginal.

Last year I made the mistake of giving this EDT to my dad without testing it first. IMO it stinks of BO, cinnamon and other indefined spices, nothing else. My mom and I hate it from the very beginning but my dad would use it every day. Al least it seems that the present pleased him…

A seductive purfume, good for rare use not for every day wear
