Awoken from my short slumber i stumble through the moist hot air to fix myself a much needed cup of tea. Last night wasn’t the evening for sleep and the end of the alphabet was hard to grasp at. Heat radiating from my tea, i fling open my kitchen door leading out into my quaint yard, covered in soft dew. I sit in the grass naked sipping gently from my tea underneath my heaving orange tree as the sun goes from purple to bright pink.
My eyes begin to burn intensely as the sun narrows the horizon, and the dew begins to dance on my bottom, almost as if nature is celebrating religiously the birth of their savior. My skin tightens and begins to dance as it seems, pulling in adrenaline and sending my mind into a racing comfort of life itself.
The solar giant peaks at his crest, puffs out his chest and the dancing stops. A calmness overthrows me and nature itself bows in testament to it’s almighty power, as do i. The insects are now awake, i can hear them buzzing along with with morning birds chirping. A wayward orange that’d fallen a few moments ago has rolled close enough to my grasp. After that orange’s quick death by my hand I become fully embraced by the sun, and drift into a humid sleep underneath my cool shady orange tree.

This is a brilliant bright sunny day on the beach. Its solid edition allows you to take it to the beach and apply it when you like. Just make sure you protect it from melting. To me it has beachtime cannotations stronger than old Coppertone.
The composition has lots of orange with in, this in blossom and fresh peeled fruit zest a few other flower show up, but then the patcholi work its happy “hippy magic” creating a peaceful and joyous ray of sunshine anytime.

I am so impressed with solid perfumes, and wish there were more available. That said, let me begin this review with my first impression… Uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhh…this is heavenly. There is an ethereal cool quality to this perfume…something similar to camphor, but not so pushy. As in many of Lord’s Jester scents, the florals are plush and comfy. There is a lifting quality to this fragrance, and yet something earthy and grounding. It gives me the feeling of laying on a billowy cloud, without ever leaving the surroundings of my natural environment.
If I were to smell this on a woman on a hot summer night, it might very well weave a spell. Did I just see Puck run by?!
ADDITION: After a few goes at this, I realized that after about 4 or 5 hours, the vanilla really begins to perk up. This is a beautifully evolving perfume, from beginning to finish. I will be smelling this one as much as possible, and would be wonderfully surprised to find this coming from someone else.

*This review is for the solid perfume*
First off, let me say I do not usually like creme perfumes-they are usually hard to get on your finger and do not absorb well, or last at all. LJ perfume solids, on the other hand, melt very smoothly to your touch and spread evenly, absorb well and smell wonderful!
I am a big fan of Citrus Aromatics, but when I read the notes thought this might be too ‘girly’ for me…Perish the Thought!!
Helios begins with a wonderful warm citrus feel (orange, orange essence and bergamot) that is bright and sweet; and an airy floral aura made of tagetes and neroli-fresh, beautiful and so summery. The pink pepper adds some warmth, but not a sharp spicy scent to this. The heart takes four very soft, smooth florals: rose (sensual), jasmine(sweet), frangipani(warm/fruity) and african orange flowers and creates the most masculine bouquet I think I’ve ever smelled. This shines with the pure essences of these flowers and is in no way overpowering, but is subtly beautiful. The drydown has a nice earthy patchouli, warm rich amber, and an ephemeral blend of cool orris and just enough vanilla to entice, but not overpower. This is reminiscient of Helios in his daily voyage across the vault of the heavens-warm, fresh dawn when it rises; rich, sweet warm flowers blooming at noon; and the subtle warmth of evening, as he sinks below the horizon and cool night begins…Nice!!
    Sillage: good
    Longevity: good for a creme
    Overall: 4.25/5
The charioteer of the sun, brother of Selene(the moon) and Eos(the Dawn)-he was the knower of all truth as nothing could be hid from his lofty gaze, and without his fiery rays nothing could grow or even live. Later supplanted by Apollo, he was the first sun-god and had many children and a group of seven daughters (the Heliades) who wept so for their lost brother Phaeton, they were changed into poplar trees that wept tears of amber…great job catching the Sun, Adam!
