Oud wrapped in green fragrant herbaceous green. Love it. The floral violet and tuberose notes are so sweet but not too heady. The whole line has a vintage vibe, more due to the fact that vintage perfumes used more natural ingredients.
I think people that love this line will either re-discover childhood memories from glamorous aunties and female figures or align their noses to natural essences.
The past 30 years or so has re-trained noses to the more synthetic range of essences. Hence for many perhaps younger noses, this range will be a head-shop foreign odd mess of unfamiliar combinations. . I adore it, but then I crave the vintage animalic floral heady mixes. Plus I love the way Arabian fragrances are blended.
House of Matriarch is a bridge between east and west in perfumery. Pioneers indeed. I am blessed to have arranged to get the Discovery Set from a lovely Fragrantica member. Life is fantastic!!! Thank you HoM
