This must be a cynical take on New York by a for’ner. It opens like cotton candy and then goes through a sort of celery stage. Eventually it bottoms out in a mélange of scents probably represented in some sense by the streets of Manhattan, with street vendors and garbage all mingling together and becoming especially volatile on a hot summer’s day. Something of a mess, sad to say. Of course, I would never live in New York!
