Those expecting a dark leather will be disappointed; at best this is a whiff of suede. Predominant notes initially are floral, quite lovely and diffuse, perhaps a bit of jasmine, but I really could not tell the rest, possibly a hint of rose, but I suspect other more exotic florals (mimosa?). The floral bouquet settles quickly in about 10 minutes and that’s when the lovely TOBACCO comes to the fore–insanely beautiful and well-blended.
It’s a sweet, not terribly smoky, slightly hay, slightly floral honey with the ever-present HOM apothecary base (I get it every time), gently accentuated with vanilla. Ambergris nudges the tobacco floral in this direction, giving it a delicate honey quality. Unlike other more sensitive noses, I don’t detect the salty iodine nuances, but rather an oceanic citric briskness that dies down rapidly. For me, it becomes a warm, gentle, lightly sweetened floral tobacco.
It is not gourmand or “sweet” in a foodie way. Quite nice. Longevity and silage ore low to moderate, but I’m powering through my 15 mil and headed for a bottle on sale.

I don’t understand how it comes this perfume doesn’t have more admirers. It’s a fantastic and unique take on an ambergris perfume. For me the ambergris is the showcase note here, it is clearly standing out, tobacco and vanilla adding warmth to the salty spray feeling. Totally wearable. Longevity and sillage are great.
I have only a mini, and hope to buy more, it became quite addictive.
About the price tag: why do people complain here, this an all-natural perfume containing high quality ingredients, including natural ambergris. You don’t find this for a steal price, nowhere. And if you do, you better beware…

Opens up surprisingly uric for a tobacco-leather fragrance. I get a strangely aromatic blast of sweet, leathery urine atop a bed of jasmine and orange blossom. Cataclysmically powerful upon application, but enjoyably unique and bold.
The drydown is much more agreeable. The leather and uric facets back down, revealing a lovely, smooth tobacco with a hint of vanillic sweetness and a subtle salty underbelly giving the whole thing a sexily-dirty aura. If I put my nose to my arm, I can detect a faint whiff of the florals from the beginning, lending the dark drydown a bed of comfortability and a surprisingly elegant, borderline-classic scent profile.
All in all, I really really am enjoying this. Not my favorite from the house, and not the most wearable but definitely a unique work of art that succeeds at feeling strangely timeless.

This is NOT a leather! Do not go into this expecting a powerful leather!
It smells like a recently cleaned bathroom stall at the ocean, much like Kouros does. Fans of Kouros will dig this, it has those same insanely dated, musty floral notes.

The more I wore this, the more I became addicted to this one. It is unusual but in a really sexy way. It is bold leather to start, but gradually as it melts into the skin it transforms into a real yet smooth tobacco leather illuminated by a HINT of a marine note that actually works in a contrasting way to help highlight the tobacco and leather. There is a touch of vanilla that shows up as it evolves, light real vanilla bean pod in just enough to leave to wanting more as it gently rounds the edges off the tobacco/leather. It yields that sensual edge to what is typically a ‘rough’ association of leather and tobacco without taking away the boldness of the combination.
This is a unique, addictive and stunning scent I think everyone should at least experience.
