If ginger ale and mango soda got combined into a perfume, it would smell like this. It’s unexpectedly strong (must be the cocobolo note?) and not sweet. If you want something that has hints of fruit without any sugar whatsoever, this might be the fragrance for you.

@erica.andruscavage Agreed! I’m still mad it’s discontinued, LOVED this so much. One of those unique/original celebrity fragrances. Not trying to be the same as most celeb fragrances.

If any celebrity fragrance deserves a relaunch, it’s this one. Never should have been discontinued.

First off I love the bottle for this the brown/gold shades and classic style are so nice and it looks gorgeous on my table. I quite like Hilary duff so was wanting to get this, was super affordable like $30 for a mini gift set. The scent is quite woody and musky veering towards a more masculine scent. Its quite strong initially but not that long lasting. This wouldn’t be an everyday scent personally as I prefer a more sweet scent

My bottle may have turned…just get this hairspray, odd wood note thats a little boozy. As it is its a pass for me.

From reading the other reviews, I was lucky enough to get a bottle that hasn’t turned. I think it’s the cocobolo that makes it so unique and delicious. However, this is the ONLY perfume with cocobolo currently listed on this site. I wish they’d either re-launch this or that I could find another perfume with a cocobolo note.

This is such a pretty scent; sweet and creamy with a hint of spice. I have a tiny bottle and when I sprayed it this morning I thought I would need a big bottle at Ebay prices!
And then as it dried down I kept thinking it smelled SO familiar…. a few here say Adam Levine? No, there’s some similarity but that’s not what I was thinking. And I’m not getting any mango, so nothing fruity. I’ve never tried some of the others mentioned.
The dry down smells so much like Raghba, only lighter. That balsamic smokey sweetness, but not as powerful. And not as long lasting. After about 90 minutes, it’s fading away.

It’s ok. The smell is powerful. It smells like cinnamon to me and quite potent!

cheap, alcohol, hairspray; mango, musk and amber but cheap and artificial; the base is bearable and deep; the base is NOT amber but cheap vanilla

I really love this! I received this from a lovely Fragrantica member, goldenfire5… it reminds me a lot of one of my favorites, Adam Levine for women. With Love however, is much softer silage-wise and slightly sweeter. But it’s great! I really love it! My husband complimented me on this fragrance as soon as he walked in the door today. Really nice if you can find a bottle that hasn’t turned. But honestly, try Adam Levine as a replacement if you loved this one. They are really similar from start to finish but especially in the drydowns. I have AL on one arm and HDWL on the other and aside from the slight more sweetness and musk in With Love, you can hardly distinguish them from each other. I’m really surprised that it has been voted similar. Because it so is!

When I first sampled this years ago I was very impressed with its originality; smells niche. With Love is a warm, exotic oriental with a beautiful amber dry down (a bit boozy, too – cognac?). Longevity is a bit lacking, but I carry a small bottle with me and reapply in the afternoon. Will be a sad day when I run out.

  13. :

If you’re a fan of With Love, try Mon Guerlain. The drydown is almost a dead ringer for this.

Heartbroken. Hilary said she gets asked about this fragrance all the time on her social media and she said this is “long gone and in the vault” 🙁

I wear a different fragrance every day, and I have several in my collection. At its peak I had nearly 120 frags in rotation-I use some at certain times of the year while others are packed away in their own little chest. I just purchased this one, and after having spritzed, sprayed and dabbed it I can say that I like it. It wasn’t wasted money, since it is a very nice fragrance, but I could have spent the same amount ($10 USD) for a 3.4 oz bottle of Ellen Tracy “Ellen” and gotten the same fragrance for a much lower price point. I checked the notes on the ET-Ellen review and virtually none are the same as listed for this frag. However, they could be twins, at least on my skin. I don’t get the “anise” or “Licorice” so many seem to dislike from the ET-Ellen frag, but I get what I’m getting from “With Love”-a powdery woodiness that is soft and warm. There’s a creamy essence to this frag (and Ellen) that I find very lovely. Neither fragrance is a powerhouse, to be sure. Ellen is something I have to quite literally cover myself in for it to project/linger on my skin. I had to do the same with this fragrance. It’s all over me, in my hair, on my clothes and still comes off shy and quiet, rather than loud and proud. There is something about this fragrance “With Love” that is very feminine and innocent-it’s a sweet fragrance, but not in a sugary, unsubstantial way. It’s sweet with a spine, with sophistication, with some experience under its belt. There are things about this that remind me of Narciso Rodgriguez (the original) or SJP’s Lovely-it’s that kind of soft, musky, smoky-sweet fragrance. Think pale pink angora sweaters and satin camisoles. It’s a velvety, caressing fragrance. You wish you could touch it, but…how would you touch a scent? I’d have to give the nod to With Love for it’s composition-much better blended and presented than “Ellen Tracy: Ellen” however, that’s kind of like seeing a Monet hanging in the Louvre or looking at a picture of a Monet hanging in the Louvre. It’s the same thing, in essence, but one of them is much more enjoyable than the other.

Saccharine woods with a breezy, airy coconut and a pinch chocolate. There is a nuance of leather. In fact, when I catch nuances of this leather accord, With Love reminds me of another discontinued fragrance called Phoenix by Keith Urban, just without that the jarring lacquer/paint varnish accord.
With Love is linear from start to finish, so if you like what you smell after spraying, you’ll enjoy the life of this fragrance.
Not your typical celebuscent (fruits and hyper sweetness).

OK, I’m preparing some decants for a swap partner, one of which is Donna Karan Black Cashmere, so I was correct in my comparison, which means that WL also bears some similarities to L’Artisan Bois Farine.
The Karan is discontinued and selling on eBay for ridiculous amounts, but I think Bois Farine is still available.

  18. :

I bought this based on recommendations and reviews of other Fragranticans.
I should preface this by stating that I have no idea who Hilary Duff is; I know the name, but if I passed her on the street, I wouldn’t recognise her. For this reason, I have no negative or positive associations or preconceptions at all.
This really is one of the most unusual celebrity scents I have ever smelled, way WAY off the usual sweet-fruity-floral beaten track. It’s predominantly a spicy, woody fragrance with a slight fruitiness, supported by amber. A mild non-animalic musk (not a cheap laundry type) appears at the very end of the dry-down.
WL smells niche – it really is THAT good – and it wouldn’t be out of place in the L’Artisan house.
This definitely reminds me of something, but I am struggling to pin down the memory. L’Artisan Bois Farine? DK Black Cashmere? I’ll update when it comes to me; at the moment it’s dancing just out of my reach.
Definitely unisex (although I don’t subscribe to gender assignation in perfume, I thought this may be helpful to some people). NOT a safe blind buy, but it’s discontinued and prices are creeping up on eBay; if you buy and find you don’t like it, chances are you’ll be able to swap/sell on easily enough – potentially at a profit.
Sillage is moderate, longevity on my skin *just* scrapes into the moderate range, but my skin is dry and sucks up perfume.
ETA: I’ve just checked out the noses responsible for this; Rodrigo Flores-Roux is also responsible for Donna Karan’s Black Cashmere – this is interesting as it is one of the perfumes to which I thought this may be similar. Hmmm.

I keep hoping that With Love will be relaunched now that Hilary Duff has a hit show.
This is one of my favorite fragrances and one that always gets compliments. It’s different and very lovely. People always ask about it and I have to report that it is sadly discontinued.
With Love would absolutely fit with Rodrigo Flores-Roux best work for the niche brand, Arquiste. There are these lovely balances – sweet balanced with spice and wood balanced with fruit. With Love is a beauty.

Warm and light mix of mango with spices and exotic flower. Oriental but not too much. The mango and fruit plus amber give a great effect, the spices are not too strong here, they do not overpower. Unusual scent. This perfume I sampled 2 times before I bought 100 ml. Good deal.

Gorgeous! I grabbed 3 mini bottles for 6$ each on Fragrancenet and I’m glad I did.
The notes listed are incorrect and it seems they should be as follows:
Milk, Fruit, Mangosteen, Musk, Flower, Exotic Spices, Amber, Cocobolo Wood.
With Love starts really boozie on me, a smell of cognac; it’s sophisticated, warm, woody and spicy in an oriental way – not a Christmasy way. It’s a bit dark – reminds me of Roberto Cavalli Nero Assoluto somehow, not necessarily a dupe, but it gives me the same vibe. I think I will enjoy this gem even more this fall and winter.

The ultimate victim of bad marketing! With Love is an incredibly unique and sophisticated fragrance, no doubt. It smells like a designer exclusive, but wasn’t what most Duff fans at the time wanted in a fragrance, that’s for sure. It is distinctly mature, but NOT BofE. I find it very warm and sensual, and tropical without smelling like tanning lotion or an umbrella drink. Deep, dark mangosteen with that incredible cocobolo wood peaking out more and more as time goes on. The 50ml no cap/no box listed now on EBay from seller urbanexpress2008 are not turning (at least, mine isn’t).

  23. :

    3 out of 5

Warm, softly spicy, not very sweet for a celeb offering but the opening has a certain fruitiness that dissipates rather quickly. You’re mostly left with a heap of dark, polished wood and bright amber. Sunkissed skin after a day at the beach, breezy subdued tropical perfection. This is signature scent material, really, it’s very personal and very enticing. Allure in olfactory form.

@artisy wow! Thank you! MANGOSTEEN not mango. That makes so much sense now. I’ve always liked the scent but could never figure out what it smelt like- I’ve been searching for the non-existent mango note for a long time lol
Now I know that it smells like spicy, sweet mangosteen on a woody base. Moderate silage and longevity. Day or night scent and wearable in all seasons, but preferably Autumn.
This is the first scent I bought for myself. I wanted to use it up the other year, but since I found out it was discontinued I want to hang onto it.

    @ artsy:
Finally! Someone who feels as I do about this scent and leaves an accurate review of the notes (which are listed wrongly on Fragrantica). I left a similar review further down. I’m glad to see that I’m not alone in my admiration for this scent. I managed to find a full 3.4 oz in giftset with lotion on ebay for cheap about a year ago that I’ve been hoarding. If you’d like a few decants It’d be my pleasure. 😀

There comes a time in a young adult’s life where they are drawn to owning more than fragrance mists and want pretty glass bottles instead of colorful spritzes. When that happened to me, I was in my late teens and could only budget something in the celebrity price range.
It was kismet that among all the generic fruity floral contenders at the time, this one happened to appeal to my nose AND had a clearance tag on it. Win win.
It was strong, it was sensual, it was not shy, and it gave me the boost I wanted and was different enough to be my signature scent.
Fragrantica needs to update that it is MANGOSTEEN, not mangos. It’s a lot like lychee but with more musk and creamy tartness.
Unfortunately, like the Disney channel star behind this, it had its moment of glory and that was it. One flanker I believe? And poof. If Hilary has reinvented herself I think it’s time for her to maybe mix up another deliciously fragrant fume or rekindle this one. I would buy it in a heartbeat…
I would do almost anything for them to start making this again. I still dearly love it and now I am reduced to .05 bottles in limited supply.

If you can find a well preserved bottle, buy it. It’s lovely. It’s not super sweet and girly, but an exotic oriental that is sexy and sophisticated. A great surprise from a celebrity fragrance.

This perfume doesn’t age well I’m afraid.
Have purchesed it on two separate occasions and both times it was spoilt, and I couldn’t understand why the rave reviews.
Until a member here sent me a decant that was unspoilt. Beautiful spicy unisex woody fragrance. Too bad it’s like a lottery whether one will find a good bottle or not..

@Wassim Gharbi True! I thought I was seeing things or going crazy after I saw the mango note listed. I remember clearly the mangosteen note like a year ago.

  30. :

    4 out of 5

Fragrantica got the notes wrong again… There’s no mango and mango blossom in this fragrance. There is MANGOSTEEN in the top instead of the mango and there is MANGOSTEEN BLOSSOM in the heart instead of the mango blossom. There’s a difference between mango and mangosteen…

If it is darker, that is a sure sign that the perfume has turned. Nowadays, even 1-year old scents have been turning on me. Yes , it is Brazil, with extreme heat, but 1-year old perfumes should last longer. Blame it on the lack of quality materials used on With Love.

I remember having this yeeeears ago when I was a wee lass and bought it again on eBay since it’s discontinued. Heartbroken to find that it smells terrible. It’s possible I bought expired versions or s/t, or my scent palette changed? But I’m disappointed because I remember it smelling so uniquely fabulous.

This smells like an unlit cigarette- Camel Number 9 menthol (the ones in the black and turquoise pack with the hot pink foil). It’s not a yucky smell like a lit cigarette, it’s an interesting smell for a perfume, and a captivating smell for an ex smoker like me. I can’t stand this on my skin (because I feel like I can’t get away from it) but I do like to sniff the bottle every now and then.

  35. :

Well when I ordered this, I had high hopes for this, because at the time I ordered, this had overwhelming very positive reviews. The cocobolo note especially had me intrigued. However, to me, this smells like hairspray. Just cloying and synthetic and artificial smelling. Maybe being this has been discontinued for a while perhaps the ingredients in the bottle I received have gone bad or something (ordered from an online fragrance discounter). The bottle is pretty, though.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

Sickly sweet, spicy, and sinister- it has a rancid overripe undertone that I also smell in Gres Cabaret. With Love has a lot of hype on Fragrantica, but I think that is in large part due to nostalgia and scarcity. A scrubber.

Long time no smell but I remember getting a sample of this one when I was around 14 y.o. Still remember the amazing mix of spices and slight sweetness. Would so wear it today.

I was 13 when this came out and absolutely loved it. I would spray it every time I went to Kohl’s but never bought it because I didn’t have the money to pay full price.
Now in 2016, I’ve finally gotten it. I found a 0.5oz on eBay and had to get it. I was hesitant to purchase this since it is discontinued and I was afraid it wouldn’t be good anymore in terms of smell or even longevity. Luckily, I have no issues with it and am so happy!
This is a warm, spicy fragrance. However, I don’t find it sharp like many wood based scents but rather smooth and calming. There is a sweetness from the mango but I don’t find it inappropriate or overwhelming. It balances the woodsy, amber base.
I tend to avoid strong woods since they give me headaches or asthma but I’ve had no issues with this scent.

I just got it today. Another blind buy I have been delaying for years.
It is earthy, spicy and very much unisex. Not sweet at all.
Right away I can feel some spices mixed with a strong woody smell (the cocobolo note) and mangosteen. This mix gives it a eucalyptus leaf kind of smell.
It is not only the most original celebrity fragrance I own, it is also one of the unique scents I have ever had.
Although I am more of a gourmand type of guy I am appreciating its singularity and for sure I am going to wear this proudly.
I have a feeling this will grow even more on me. However I hope it does not become an addiction (as it was quite hard to find haha).
    So good!
Update : I knew this was going to happen. It is official. I truly love it! Unfortunately both its sillage and longevity are short 🙁

I love when a celeb scent steps outside the sweet n fruity box. But Wait! This perfume IS sweet and fruity! Well yes the mango adds a fruity sweetness but there is also a bit of spice and a VERY strong woods base. If you don’t like strong woodsy scents I would not suggest this one, for those of us that do love woods fragrances, this is delightful. This is the only scent in the database that has cocobolo as a note. It’s worth a buy for that alone. It truly is unique and I’m so glad I bought it, I will be wearing this often in the fall when it’s still too warm for my more heavy scents. This is a great transition into cooler weather scent.

  42. :

I got this a mini .17oz just to try&its definitely a romantic/fun &casual…its unique in its scent&notes,a great combination… Not average its more of a fruit nectar&dried mango feel from woodsy&a splash of love&champagne,I’m far from good on describing scents, notes, just say what comes to my mind. Its unique I like this a lot…too bad its really hard to find&discontinued, it doesn’t last long great for lounge & lazy days fun days all seasonal.

I reordered this beauty just to feel some nostalgia.
What i found is that with time this scent changes a lot.
I still remember the day i smelt this on a magazine and was so excited to buy a bottle of it.
Thinking back it was quite mango/musky/woody
With age the juice actually becomes extremely spicy and woodsy. So woody it is almost sour.
I love it though because its like this scent has grown up with me.
I will enjoy my bottle of this.

  44. :

I am so very glad that I have kept this bottle for so many years, forgotten on my dresser until trying it again today. I get warm, darkly spicy and sweet notes. Vanilla, amber, pepper, leather, tobacco, tonka, musk seem to be amplified by my skin in a delicious way…not too loud or obnoxious.

  45. :

Okay so… I noticed that many here were saying really good stuff about this perfume and let me tell you that they were not wrong! 🙂 I decided to buy a 0.5 fl oz to try it and see what all the fuzz was about. I got OBSESSED as soon as I sprayed it. I like it a lot (I even bought a 3.3 fl oz bottle after). I want to buy as many as possible because It is discontinued 🙁 Seems like i gravitate towards oriental scents after all!

This is the first time in my life I buy a “celebrity” realease. I din’t even know who Hilary Duff was. This stuff is gorgeous: a spiced tea with a hint of a milky coconut water, amber and dry woods ( they might be the Cocobolo note). It’s not loud, as for example Jungle by Kenzo, nor is it particularly sweet- gourmandy. To be sincere I do not understand if the mangosteen note is realistic, since I’ve never smelled it, but there’s something fruity, very lightly reminding me osmanthus, which could be that exotic fruit. Nevertheless this is not certainly a fruity girly fragrance, but a lightly spiced warm juice that can be well enjoyed by grown-ups either men or women. Much, much better that many designers’offers. Considering this, my score is 8/10

  47. :

    3 out of 5

Wow! Just… wow! Amazing perfume from Duff; warm, woody, sweet, milky. A beautiful, luscious fragrance! Head and shoulders above most celebrity perfumes. If you don’t like wood you should avoid this but I feel it adds depth and interest to what would otherwise be a generic sugary gourmand – not that that would be bad but the cocobolo elevates this to something really special. It actually reminds me strongly of Jeux de Peau – which I adore – but with dry, airy woods. Highly recommended! I’m buying a larger bottle *right now!*

  48. :

I wanted to love this perfume because I’ve heard mazing things, however at first smells I was not impressed. It later tries down and smells a tad better but it is far too woody, would not reccomend

  49. :

    4 out of 5

I may have already written a review for this perfume but I’ve just fallen in love with it all over again and thought I would share my updated opinion. With Love surpasses most celebrity fragrances with it’s warm, milky, spiciness and uniqueness. I have been wearing it non stop lately and every time I do I catch myself smelling my wrists. I would say it’s intoxicating. It’s not a weak little gourmand without any character or depth. However, at the same time, it’s not too masculine and heavy. It has the right balance of femininity and mystery. I’m about 90% sure that it’s been discontinued so I just ordered another bottle on amazon while they’re still floating around out there. I would HIGHLY recommend thus perfume if you’re looking for something different and beautiful. Purchase ASAP.

Very exotic and mature for Hilary Duff AKA Lizzie McGuire on Disney Channel. The bottle and packaging is deceptive. I thought it would be a sweet girly fruity scent similar to Paris Hilton Dazzle but its not. It’s a punch in the nose of spice and dark woods, amber, musk and mango. If it was not for the mango (and mango blossom) scent I might not have liked it. It’s fruity but dark, and kind of like Roberto Cavalli Exotica. It’s definitely an evening perfume and for summer. It’s fruity but not too fruity, it’s mostly woodsy, amber and musk. Smells Oriental and very spicy. I can see myself wearing it on a serious date where serious conversations are gonna happen. Love it.

  51. :

    4 out of 5

With Love by Hilary Duff was a lovely, warm, woody- amber scent with notes of dark cocobolo wood, chai spices, and mangosteen blossom contained in a beautifully faceted, jewel-like, glass bottle. (I had no clue what mangosteen was prior to discovering this perfume. Coincidentally it was about the same time that I developed a love for Indian cuisine. Mangosteen – aka garcinia mangostana- is a southeast Asian fruit often used in south Indian cooking. It is not at all the same as the mango fruit. The notes listed here on Fragrantica are incorrect).
The juice had outstanding longevity and sillage on me. I received a giftset of the full size 3.4 oz. bottle, 5 oz. lotion, and a rollerball keychain as a birthday gift when the fragrance was first released in 2005. It was my signature scent for nearly three years. I received endless compliments from friends and strangers alike. When I made the decision to change my signature everyone I knew let me know they missed the warm amber scent they’d come to associate as “my” scent. When I sought out a replacement bottle I was utterly brokenhearted to discover that it had been discontinued. I’ve yet to find anything quite like it.
Apparently Mariah Carey’s “M” outsold this as the best selling celebrity fragrance at the time; thus the reason for its discontinuation. The scent may not have worked for everyone but it was practically made for me. To date my entire family agrees that this was the BEST scent I’ve ever worn, beating out any Chanel or Guerlain I’ve owned over the years. It was a fabulous perfume despite bearing the name of a then teen aged pop star.

The opening of With Love is just gorgeous, fruity but not syrupy.
I am sorry to say that the drydown is something else entirely. It never makes it past the smell of Black Jack penny sweets. I had to scrub. I tried, I really tried to tolerate it but couldn’t, it made me want to vomit.
I’m so disappointed because the recommendations for this are usually glowing and i thought I’d love it. Oh well.
    As always, YMMV.

Very nice, not overly feminine or fruity. I’m more into warm, spicy and tomboyish scents, so this one’s just perfect.
When I saw notes listed on this one, got curious (spices) but I was doubtful about the mango (which I don’t detect at all..) Before this one I was using Nirvana by Elisabeth and James (black.)

  56. :

I don’t know if I had a bad bottle or not (I highly doubt it) but, it smelled awful to me… High on the spices, amber, and pat… I wanted to like it, but could not at all!!!

  57. :

    3 out of 5

Mangosteen, surely, not mango? I don’t detect any mango in it, and I distinctly remember choosing this because of my love of (and rare access to) mangosteen, which to me tastes like perfume smells.
I found a bottle of In Love shoved to the back of my cupboard because of a broken spray. I replaced it and, thinking that celeb scents are usually very passing pleasures, doused myself with a few good sprays.
Oh, gosh. So much sweetness. It wasn’t unpleasant I did like it, but I felt giddy and incredibly over-perfumed. This stuff is strong!
It settled to a likeable scent, once I stopped feeling like I’d bathed in it. Sweet and slightly spicy and tropical but more subdued than brash–and yes, I swear I do detect the delectable mangosteen.

i got this as a gift and ended up selling it at a garage sale for $5. It’s tooooooo strong and really “old lady like”. It’s not young, it’s like what i can imagine middle aged women wearing, trying so desperately to be sexy. But it’s anything but sexy. It’s really unappealing…. I really don’t know any other way to describe it because i had it so long ago..

I smell coconut too ?! This one is very oriental, tropical,I was epecting something very different as this one comes from Hilary Duff and it’s called with love. I would rather name it Coco Jambo! Overall, very likeable!

Oh. My. God. Cocobolo? My boyfriend is a woodworker and used to use cocobolo for accents sometimes, and it would make the whole house (his workshop is in the basement) smell AMAZING. If he was working with it, I’d go down there and hang out just to revel in it. Unfortunately, it’s now virtually impossible to get, let alone at an affordable price, since being put on the endangered list. I see this perfume is discontinued… what a shame. I think I’m gonna need to scour Ebay, or see if there are any perfumes out there with prominent rosewood notes (rosewood has a similar scent, though not quite as strong).

It’s a very pretty scent, but doesn’t last for more than 2 hours 🙁 Not a repurchase for me…

I didn’t care for this. I thought the bottle was pretty but the perfume stinks.

Purchased this a long time ago since I was about to attend Hillary’s upcoming “Dignity” Tour, so I thought the purchase would be necessary…. This perfume is intoxicating and overwhelming, very VERY spicy and musky perfume. Was really disappointment since Hillary’s fan base at the time was young tween girls when the perfume is linked towards more mature women with such an “mature and spicy” scent, truly I believe this perfume is not sexy AT ALL.

I got a tiny sample bottle of this several months ago but never paid it much attention.
Then, as my 40th birthday party approached I desperately started sorting through my samples for one that I was not familiar with to be my “signature” for the day – something that would always remind me of that wonderful party. I dabbed on some of Hilary’s With Love and WHEW! What a fragrance!
Strangely enough, I first get a blast of tequila! Enough to make me feel a bit boozy lol. Then it quickly softens to a spicy, musky, woody mango with rice flower and vanilla aspects that aren’t listed. I’d technically classify it as an autumn scent but it smelled BEAUTIFUL in warm summer sun yesterday.
It lasted a few hours into my party so I reapplied once. However, I spent most of the day outside so I was doing a good bit of sweating to wear off the gorgeous aromas.
Basically, I’m upgrading to a larger bottle before the summer is out so that any time I want to relive the fantastic memories of turning 40 I can give myself a quick spritz and smile in nostalgic happiness. ^_^
    Yes…I am in love.

Update: I am now getting the tropical notes. Creamy vanilla, still cedar. This is warming up and it smells divine!

I blind purchased this after reading reviews. It has some of the notes that I love. First spray out of the bottle and what is that smell? Cedar/teak! This smells like the sauna at the gym. Crisp, fiery, dry. My skin always absorbs scents and brings out the woodiest notes of any fragrance, so on me, so far that’s all I’m getting. I don’t smell any coconut, or a hint of fruit. It’s borderline masculine, but not necessarily in a bad way. I’ve been wearing it about 20 minutes so I’m waiting for the dry down. It’s an interesting fragrance. Since I live in South Florida I would probably wear this on a chilly fall night. I don’t see myself reaching for it more often than that.

I received this in a blind swap and I really like it. When I smell it, I am instantly transported to the beach. While some fragrances emphasize coconut (like Bronze Goddess) and make me think of summer in general, this one has a more specific beach vibe going. It’s more tropical and doesn’t have the suntan lotion scent. The spiciness contributes to the nice evening out feel. All in all, a very nice scent with far more sophistication that you would expect. A keeper!

It really is so funny how differently a fragrance can read on different skins. As I have had more than one perfume that was lovely on someone else go nasty on me, I do see how With Love could take a turn toward “dirty musk” territory on another. Happily, on my skin, With Love is a warm, creamy, sweet, mellow tropical dream. The mango/vanilla/amber blend makes for the most delicious creamy tropical feel- just a slight sweetness, enough to make the word “yummy” come to mind. The Fragrantica “notes” database describes cocobolo wood as a “fantasy note”, only found in With Love, but I can’t decide what else could remind me of a savory, nutty coconut in this one… so, I ‘ll just say it has to be the cocobolo wood. Yeah, that has to be it. There is quite a bit of spice present, but it is not the typical Christmas blend, or anything masculine. In line with the rest of the composition, it is a warm, creamy tropical spice, and it is nowhere near overwhelming. With Love wears on quietly for several hours, then falls asleep on a bed of nice skin musk and subtle spice. I have bought several back-up bottles, as I sense With Love is on its way to extinction.

No, no, and no. I found this stuff in my sister’s collection, and she said “You can have it.” I tested it, and almost gagged at the dark, musky, dirty, strong scent that came off my skin. I don’t like to smell like dirty musk and I don’t understand why anyone does.

Hands down my favourite celebrity scent and one of my all time favourite perfumes. It started my love back in 2008 when I was 13/4
