Why Puig? Why did you stop making this? It was without doubt one of the most manly refreshing EDt I’ve ever come across..it was truly great. Full of Vetiver plenty of refreshing grassy notes and slightly woody after times. It was manly clean and refreshing the one EDt in my life females love also bring it back..please.

I find it interesting that the reviewer below referenced Homme de Gres – one of my absolute favorites, and also now discontinued – when reviewing this. Although the fragrances are not at all similar, as is true of Homme de Gres, I thoroughly enjoy this delightful “vetiver” by Puig, although it doesn’t really smack me in the face with vetiver. To me, it’s more a Spanish barbershop aromatic: bright, sunshiny, very optimistic, easy to wear herbal masculine “after-shave” kind of scent, with some relatively good staying power, moderate projection, and very easy pleasurable to wear. In the vetiver world, it probably comes closest to Guerlain’s, due to it’s bright cheerfulness, but you’d never spray this and think, “Oh – this is like Guerlain Vetiver”. Now that I think of it, it’s actually a bit more like Carven’s Le Vetiver (not Carven’s Vetiver in the rectangular heavy clear bottle, nor the very recent release of the same formula in the tall green bottle, but the one in the heavy rectangular white bottle with a gray “wooden” cap), which is also a very happy chypre with some vetiver showing. I wish I had more! (I have one bottle of
both the EDT and the after-shave.)

Years ago I found an alternative list of notes:
TOP:
galbanum
bergamot
aldehydes
lemon
artemesia
rosemary
MIDDLE:
lavender
carnation
cedar
patchouli
vetiver
cumin
BASE:
labdanum
moss
musk
tonka bean
It seems simpler than this list suggests. Expect a dry citrus/woody scent with obvious lavender. It’s quite powerful at first and excellent for hot weather if you like the dominant notes. You’ve got to like aromatics to appreciate this one, but if you enjoy Homme de Gres type scents you should sample VdP. This one laughs as it kicks sand in the face of niche !
