Among the many oud-rose-praline perfumes permeating the market at the moment, this is my least favorite. It has a wonderful opening with creamy rose and oud, but fails to deliver as far as the pleasantness goes. After less than an hour, whatever hasn’t faded is just cloying and bland. Performance is so very lacking that the money would be much better spent on Lancome Oud Bouquet (a larger bottle at that), or even an affordable, genuine Middle-Eastern perfume or one of the 24 oud line (!). All such are typically sweeter than this yet easier to take. It seems JM is just jumping on the sweet-oud bandwagon with a token Arabian in the lineup. It’s fine if a perfumer wants to branch out, but don’t cheapen the image with a half-done job at an exorbitant price. 3/10

First impression: I sprayed it on my wrists without reservations … and from the first moment I remember the rose water I received a few years ago from Turkey. However, this huge bouquet of roses is surrounded by a special and sweet jelly, probably due to the pralines. The rose is present throughout the evolution, and at the first spray the sillage is absolutely delightful! It gets more and more sweet … so I’ll come back with details … especially because I’m looking forward to find my perfect sweet oud. Right now, I feel that this is a great sweet rose fragrance!
Edit: I can not say that I feel the oud more present even after two or three hours after applying. Also, the rose is not that vibrant anymore, but it feels more velvety and scented … compared to Oud Bouquet by Lancome, clearly is less sweet, but much more on my taste and it has a better performance on my skin. I love it, although it has already become a skin scent. But a lovely one!!! And it stays like that for hours …. Big Love ❤️

Sweet and woody at the same time! For someone who can appreciate oud.
I am a bit cautious with this though since many people might find oud-y perfumes nauseating.
    Personally I really like it!

Velvet Rose & Oud is only Jo Malone cologne I love. This is fruity juicy rose with the softest musk, cocoa powder and very delicate oud note, I never smelt anything like this.

A beautiful rosey oud scent that is heavy and woody to wear. I found that when paired with other Jo Malone fragrances, especially Oud & Bergamot and Blackberry and Bay, the praline notes come out that makes the fragrance a little sweeter. I have to apply moisturiser prior to spraying the fragrance on to prolonged the scent longer as Jo Malone fragrances tend to fade from my skin. Comes on strong but then fades into a skin scent.

Smells similar to an MFK Oud Mood. If you like those, you’ll like this one. Great price for what you get!

Very nice intake of oud/rose combo I think it is the rose which made it stand alone in this category.
It has a high quality of ingredients.
The only bad think is the projection. It is very weak on me !
I am surprised to read comments here regarding the strong projection !!
May be the skin type ? Dunno
    But I enjoy it.

Velvet Rose & Oud by Jo Malone
Reviewed from 100ml bottle with atomizer
Summary: A dark, rich dessert served on an ancient but priceless wood platter and surrounded by huge, plush roses.
Velvet Rose & Oud begins with a loud, candyish wave of sweetness that quickly settles darkly into the titular rose and oud pairing. Somehow even with the framing of the dessert notes and the roses, the oud binds the scent together with its dusky seriousness to create an effect that lands just barely on the male side of the unisex line. However, the way the oud presents its darkness and masculinity is in its heaviness rather than its pungency or spice like other male-aimed oud colognes. The continuing theme after the initial wave of sweetness is one of dark, woodsy florality but considerably less confrontational than that same ideal presented in Montale’s Black Aoud. VR&O projects its rose-oud axis in a way as assured as Black Aoud but with a sense of restraint at the designer level of polish. While the velvety-feeling rose deservedly takes top billing it’s still very much a duo, a chord of doom and longing.
Colors evoked: dark purple, dark brown
Musical accompaniment: Rhye – “Major Minor Love,” Osvaldo Fresedo – “Sueño Azul,” Opeth – “Prologue”
Food parallels: rose crème brûlée, black forest cake
Timing: seasonally versatile but useful only after dark; the themes presented lose impact in the daytime despite the scent itself being soft and fresh enough to be useful in the workplace or gatherings.

This fragrance is awesome it’s a love love from me it’s deep and dark and comforting , wear it any time of day or season, wear it to please your own aura, combine it with the dry oil and you will be in the nirvana of rose gardens
I have the JM and the AP RoseD’Arabie both so gorgeous with massive longevity 1 lil spray of JM and still worthy of praise 12 hrs later did not morph into a synthetic nasty beautiful all the way
Please try it and fall in love

A dark rose-oud combo where the rose is more dominant than any other note used in here. It does remind me of three other high-quality perfumes, which are Dior Oud Ispahan, Armani Rose d’arabie and Ermenegildo Zegna Indonesian Oud. The oud in here is really tamed and I would say that this is the perfect oud scent for someone who cannot tolerate oud otherwise. But the rose is the main player and it is beautiful.
    Scent: 8.5/10
    Longevity: 8/10
    Projection: 8/10

I had a little sample/decant of this and finished it up a while ago. When I first used it, I was really positively impressed by the rose/oud combo since it was something I hadn’t smelled before. But the more I used it, the more I didn’t feel comfortable wearing it.
It is simply too sour smelling to me. Way too sour.
Even when using a minimal amount of it, I thought I smelled like an alcoholic. Like someone who took a bath in red wine and is completely drunk.
It is an association I can’t get rid of. Hence I will not (re)buy this.

I didn’t like it at first until I learned how little it takes for its magic – literally one spray to share between two wrists! Any more than that I can’t enjoy. At th minimum amount it is sweet and magical!

Sexy scent but too strong. When layered with Blackberry and Bay, it gets tempered and smells beautiful. This combination smells like a stronger version of Carolina Herrera 212 Sexy for women.

Well, I’ve finally procured my JM,VR&O for just over a week now. Though, it’s very lovely. I am a bit disappointed. The Silage is fairly weak. Especially, for an “INTENSE” Parfüme. It’s definitely a skin scent. I really wanted this to be a knockout. The longevity is a joke for a $250 bottle of Perfüme. One would think it would last longer than two hours at that price. I have seen many times on Frangantica that this has been a very common complaint about Jo Malone perfumes. The price exceeds the Silage and longevity. I really should have heeded that warning a bit more. These perfumista know what they’re talking about. as for the scent itself, …I barely get any rose or clove, which was the entire basis for the purchase. However, though it wasn’t a knock me on my A** gorgeous scent I was hoping for. It really is very, very lovely. Extremely well blended and romantic scent. It’s perfect for winter and when I want to snuggle with my hubby. Though it’s lovely. When the bottle is gone. I won’t be replacing.

I have been on the hunt for quite a few years for a perfect Rose & Clove perfume. So, far everything has been too dry,too harsh, too hot,too green, or yuk..overtly candy sweet and fruity. Or worse yet not enough rose. I have been eyeing JM’s VRO. I just ordered a bottle of this Jo Malone Velvet Rose Oud and am waiting for it to arrive. I’ll be back for my formal review. Keep our fingers crossed!

The JAMMIEST. Low-key feeling like I’m going nuts here, because the raspberry jam note I detect in this is off the charts. Individual skin chemistry is wild.
I have one of those tiny black bottles, and could smell it emanating from the atomizer before my first spray. Oud is admittedly a difficult note for me, but the way it’s blended here is really nice. It IS medicinal, but also chic, the praline (another dreaded note) actually keeping the oud note in balance. That being said, I’m somewhat heartbroken it turned into medicinal raspberry jam, albeit a very lush one. The staying power and sillage are excellent on my skin, and even better on clothes, clocking in at a staggering 12+ hours, to the point where my head was reeling a bit – keep in mind however, it IS Jo Malone, and your individual mileage may vary, especially if your skin devours perfume. My skin even manages to keep even those pale Hermessence edcs on for hours on end where they evaporate almost immediately on others. Try before you buy!
Additionally, thanks to all these detailed reviews left by my fellow Fragranticans, I’ve also noticed that both Serge Lutens La Fille de Berlin and Velvet Rose and Oud have comparisons to Al-Rehab’s Al Sharquiah – which got me to thinking about each perfume individually. I am fond of LFB, but find the rose does not last, despite how gorgeous it is. And again, as stated above, VRO was nice, but INTENSELY raspberry jammy on my skin, as magical as the oud note was. And since it actually lasted well into this morning, I attempted an experiment and wore La Fille today over yesterday’s lingering VRO. I think I may actually try layering the two from now on! The oud is so nice in VRO, and the jamminess actually bolsters the limited longevity of the excellent sharp rose in LFB. Sacrilege? Maybe, but it makes for a very lush and long-lasting winter rose that I’ve been craving!

Sorry for any english mistakes ^^
There she is. That intoxicated, mysterious, ecstatic, hauntingly beautiful woman who is waiting for a man in the bed, covered with silk sheets and velvet pillows… she wears a vintage satin teddy with high leg cut and her long luminous hair is falling down on her shoulders. Her body odor is mixed with Velvet Rose and Oud, and yes, THIS rose is indeed VELVET and smooth- not powdery, not fresh, not grandma-like. It’s dark and covered in delicious pralines. The Oud sits quiet in the back- because Oud knows it’s not the time to be loud around a sassy, dangerous woman whose ecstatic body is covered with the scent of the most beautiful flower in the world-the rose.
And a man appears. And he is looking at her. And he smells the pralines, the milky roses, the cloves. It drives him nuts. He wants her, and he wants to smell her body the whole night.
Velvet Rose and Oud, you are the biggest seductive prostitute in the world. I love you.

I have had this and for a long time
have been saving this. It is soooo
Gorgeous. Well so today I decide
to bring out the big gunz n guess
what? It ain’t all that! It is weak,
for one. Finally decided to mix w/
    Lime & Basil because I hate L&B.
Then wore L&B alone when I ran
out of the VR&O. It makes it a bit
tolerable, I guess. Not worth big $

I have a small sample of this that I am treasuring until I am able to save up and purchase the full size. Simply put, this is sex in a bottle. The rose note is quite prominent, but not grannyish in the least — it’s soft, evoking the velvety texture of its petals. It begs the skin to be touched. The warmth of the base notes only adds to the allure and sensuality of the fragrance. Longevity is excellent, and sillage is moderate — noticeable, but not invasive. I would not wear this to the office. The dry down is sweet, but in a gentle way — a soft, rosey gourmand touch that reads warm rather than sugary, due to the clove and oud notes, which are present in a supporting role. I don’t find it overly sweet, but if you’re averse to gourmands, you will not like this. For me, it’s heavenly, and unlike anything else on the market.

I am very picky about oud note in perfumes and same I could say about roses. Velvet Rose & Oud is excellent harmony of both, exactly what I need. Close to skin I feel fruity notes, but when I move I get nice dark rose and dry wood combination. Usually I get tired soon of intense perfumes, but this Jo Malone perfume always keeps me interested.

It’s great oriental scent, I like it very much even if anything spicy is usually not my cup of tea. It’s subtle and deep, truly velvety. I can recommend it to every oriental scents’ lover.

This is a lovely warm, woody rose. The oud and rose balance each other well at the start. On me, the rose soon fades. Before it is completely gone it smells like… like I need to go out, buy a lot of leopard print clothing and hit on much younger men. Thankfully, that passes and again becomes classy and warm, but just the oud, praline and very soft cloves. Still, on my skin, this is a pass.
[Edit] If you want something similar, but more refined and elegant, Armani Prive Rose d’Arabie is what you’re looking for. Testing that scent has made me change my mind about the rose & oud combination.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

This is perhaps one of the best fragrances Jo Malone has introduced because although I like some of the others, the sillage and longevity are lackluster. This smells like Love, and Great Passionate Sex with rose petals everywhere. The oud in this is just amazing. It doesn’t dominate the fragrance as much as I thought, it is definitely a nice supporting actor alongside the star of the show: The Rose. I would describe this as something a housewife of a wealthy tycoon would wear with a silk floor length robe and fur lined heels as she sashays up and down the spiral staircase of her victorian style mansion.

I’ve noticed that I tend to have a lot of problems with Jo Malone fragrances (generally too fresh, plus longevity & chemistry with my skin), but I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this perfume to no end… I have three bottles of this because I am so scared that one day I will no longer be able to buy it, plus I have the oil, the candle and the creme. So here goes…
It has not even a whisp of brashness, it is classy from start to end- creamy, velvety-sweet, with a majestic rose to center it from being placed fully in the gourmand category. The oud is nothing to be terrified of, it is very tame and just gives it a slightly dark, mysterious, spicy edge which drifts in and out just to make sure that your (or intended other’s) attention never leaves.
It is unquestionably gorgeous with an opaque sex undertone.
I think people who have smelled it and liked it will understand that sentence… so for those of you who don’t, go smell it at your earliest convenience!!
I will now go drown (happily)in this beautiful juice.

This is unique, sexy and great. I get very good longevity and moderate projection with good sillage. It is never too much. This is my noir de noir replacement due to NDN being reformulated to a bad point. I get noticed and women love it. Try this one out along with Myrrh and Tonka. Another seductive scent by Jo Malone. This house is really getting my attention.

  31. :

To me rose out is a classic matching.
When I first sniffed it the rose is super velvety and worth paying attention to, the oud is not over powering though, the clove created an interesting space in between the rose and the oud which slightly saddened me.
But over all the fragrance is comparable with by Kilian rose oud, to me the two rose seems identical.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

To be honest, I donno what’s a biggy on Jo Malone perfumes. I mean they suck in a sense that sillage and longevity is next to nothing and they cost arm and leg. I am just wearing this particular one right now as I got a sample from Holt Renfrew . I wanted to buy a bottle just as a blind buy and they didn’t have a 50 ml in stock so the lady was insisting me to buy 100 ml imstead. Mind you 50 ml was $ 150 Canadian plus tax and 100 ml is 250 CND plus tax . Like come on. I told the lady I can’t afford 250 just kindly give me a sample for now and put me on wait list for 50 ml when it is back in stock. Thank God I could not buy it. smells like spit. Nasty smell of some rotten fruits . I like her English Pear and Freesia which is a big disappointment once again due to no longevity what so ever. 90 bucks for 30 ml were drained down the garbage.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

I think the price point on Jo Malone fragrances is ridiculous for the longevity and sillage you usually get, but this is very much one of the exceptions: Amazing sillage, amazing longevity. The name Velvet Rose Oud is misleading, because out of all the fragrances containing oud that I’ve tried, this has the least noticeable oud note, and Oud is right there in the name. I normally wouldn’t even try a perfume with oud in the name, because I was beginning to think I hated all oud perfumes, but I saw this at Norstrom, and I thought, “Hey, why not?”, and gave it a test. I’m glad I did because I LOVE it. For a fragrance with oud in the name the oud isn’t even really that noticeable. This just smells so romantic and lovely. It’s this sweet, sexy, jammy rose with this spicey, almost incense like backdrop that the oud and clove offer. The dry down is a sugary sweet rose jam. I can’t think of a more Valentine appropriate perfume.

I bought it today!I love roses and the combination with oud was frightening me!But in this perfume oud is very delicate, very gentle, just a hint, just to increase the velvet character of the rose! It’s definitely intense compared to the other malone colognes!
    I think it’s just gorgeous!

I really do not want to bore this review with the complexities of the fragrance, nor its price. I simply want to share what this fragrance is for me.
Succulent dewy red roses. Yes this is how I define this fragrance. It was the fragrance I put on during a holiday in Cambodia, Singapore and the Philippines. It sealed that holiday perfectly because the rose scent made the humidity of S.E. Asia cool and the oud is elegantly subtle like a lingering incense scent I caught from a temple. I love fragrances because it bottles up memories and this scent always brings me back hot, humid, days, in Angkor Wat.

    This is nothing new.
BUT the oud in this is very managable, I dare say pleasant.
It opens with the oud then the praline sweet rose enters the picture and they linger together for a moment until the rose takes over.
All in all I find this scent to smell very clean and soapy once it is settled into the skin.
I smelt Maison Martin Margiela Promenade in the Gardens and that one does not only smell almost identical BUT has BY FAR better sillage and staying power than Jo Malone.
Sooooo, basically Jo Malone is ………. of your hard earned money! (you fill in the blank)

  37. :

I bought a bottle of this and love it. I have most of the Jo Malone collection, and this is really puzzling me. For some reason, it REALLY reminds me of the 1988 vintage “Victoria” perfume by Victoria’s Secret. ( How’s that for showing my age?). Am I nuts, or are these fragrances similar? Anybody?

Tested today at the duty free in the airport. I was scheptical, but I was delighted at the firts sniff. Rose and oud are the main notes and a few hours later I got a tiny touch of gourmand note that makes the oudy note lighter, definetely I don’t get any cloves at all.
Update (the day after): I went at the duty free store again and tested VREO on my skin. Rose is the most prominent note, I don’t get praline note amymore, but cloves. I more enjoyed the smell I got from the mouillette than the one my skin chemistry gives so I won’t buy a fb, but give this frag a try because all in all is good.

I used to be besotted by this perfume. Has it changed? As suddenly it made me feel queasy. The oud note seemed different. I used to love this and after a few years its not the same.
It was at the Jo Malone’s store.
Probably it’s my nose playing up.

This is beautiful! I love Jo Malone perfumes, and this one! Gorgeous! Rose and oud – it’s very very delicious. A really lovely blend. Rich and smooth, sweet and refined. The oud is very gentle and soft, allowing the rose to dominate, and that’s lovely. It’s a beautiful, fresh and natural rose, very realistic. And the praline is lovely, not overwhelming at all, not even too sweet! It’s such a beautifully blended perfume. I love it.

  41. :

This is not really my cup of tea since I am not a big fan of most rose based fragrances. That being said, for a rose oud I can at least appreciate that it was done well.. The rose is there and prominent but it isn’t totally overbearing.. although definitely rose focused. The oud is there, its present but its not over done or harsh. As it dries down on my skin the rose picks up in front of the oud. Both are pretty smooth and blended together with a slight sweet edge. My favorite part of the fragrance is the opening where the oud stands out more. As it dries down on my skin I get more rose than oud or praline. I don’t see this fragrance as syrupy sweet as some other people have stated. To me the Rose and Oud are the main players and the praline is just a dab in the background to sweeten it up slightly and keep it from being a dry fragrance. Overall a smooth rose and oud blend with a slight touch of sweetness that makes it a sweeter rose but not a candy sweet fragrance.
    My personal taste Scent 2/5
Objective rating scent for people into rose. 4/5
    Longevity 5/5
    projection 4/5

This is truly a smooth elegant fragrance. Never had a complaint about it. Other fragrances in the same genre are
    Armani Rose D’ Arabie
    Panah Velvet Oudh
All this fragrances make are mostly catered to people who like smooth and not to over whelming juices.
MFK Satin Mood is in the similar vibes but differs due to the benzoin notes.

Velvet Rose & Oud by Jo Malone is a bewitchingly sweet praline-rose blend with a woody resinous oud and a whisper of clove. I love smelling this throughout the day because sometimes I get a sweet lingering of rose or I get a burst of oud reminding me of what a chameleon this scent is. For a cologne the oud in this is pretty powerful, which is a good thing for people like me who like stronger fragrances. It is great to wear in the winter especially when it is snowing out, I love spritzing it all over my thick-knit sweaters because it smells so warm and cozy even when it is 20 below out!

    A mans perspective:
I love this scent. I am bringing home a vial sample for my wife to test it on her, but at the store, it blew me away. Classy, seductive, beautiful, strong, but not too strong. Its floral without smelling like ALL of the other floral frags. The cashier sprayed some on the bow attached to the box (bought something else), and I am still smelling it. I wont leave my wife alone if she is smelling like this!!!

I was in Canada when I smelled this at a store. The term ‘Cologne Intense’ by Jo Malone is no mistake, you’re going to reek of this stuff if you spritz on even more than a dab, its that strong. I felt at the time that the magic of rose fused with oud was mysterious, sensual and elegant. I love oud and I love rose, I hadn’t encountered them together and found this unique. I imagined the woman who would wear this as a dark enchantress, a woman who is equal parts man eater fused with successful business woman. I reveled in wearing this for a few weeks but discovered wearing it in the warmth of summer is a bit off. It did better in Canada when it was raining and in the 50s-60’s, here in the 80-90s, its turned. I will give it another chance in the cooler months but its too sweet when the weather is warm. I don’t get the same eyebrow raising response to my scent as I do just wearing a nude amber oil on my skin, the sweetness is cloying.
However, there is something elegant and beautiful about this fragrance. I feel if Jo Malone amped up the spice, toned down the sweetness and made it a bit more oriental, it would dazzle.
    I give it a B+

  47. :

I love rose fragrances, especially those that weigh down the sweet rose notes with Oud. I have had this fragrance for a long time, and have really enjoyed it, but I always felt that if only Jo Malone had left out the syrupy sweet praline/chocolate notes, this would be perfect. Then I smelled Armani’s Rose D’Arabie – perfection.
If you don’t have the budget for Rose D’Arabie, the Jo Malone is a suitable stand in.

I have just been brutally pimpslapped by nostalgia.
Does anyone remember the Jeff Leatham candle “Voodoo Rose”? It is my favorite scent of all time and I have spent too much money in the past trying to replicate it, going so far as to have a scent custom blended to try and match it to no avail.
    I’m a rube.
    Should have bought this.
It smells as damnmear close to Voodoo Rose as I can remember and it brought tears of nostalgia to my eyes the moment it hit my nose at the Jo Malone store in South Coast Plaza. Bought it on the spot and I can hardly wait to get it on my skin tomorrow after I scrub off everything from today.
Might be a new signature fragrance.
Update: I applied a single spray to dry clean skin earier today and after a shower, put some lotion on my forearms and reapplied-here’s what happened:
Dry skin test: it opens hard and sweet with dark red smokey rose heart and spices, the oud wood comes out dark and sweet also with a hint of almost lavender that is a mere echo but a deightful surprise. It lasted a few hours with above average projection and remained fairly linear. Showered so didn’t get a chance to test past the three hour mark.
On clean skin with minimal unscented lotion, same application areas (forearms): what a revelation. The same notes are still there and potent but I also pick up trace amounts of damp earth and maybe even night jasmine to my nose. A hint of cinnamon and incense make appearances too. Three hours in now and I still catch little whifs of it on myself.
On my skin, this performs better then Amouge Lyric. Seriously.
Four hours in and it remains fairly linear and vibrant if somewhat muted on projection.
    Scent 10/10
    Projection 7/10
    Sillage 6/10
    Longevity 7/10
    Definitely signature scent worthy.

it’s not entirely awful, but its just too sweet to my nose. the oud has no balls, and the composition just ends up smelling really safe and oddly fruity. the longevity is also pretty poor on my skin (4-5hrs max), i can’t say i dislike the scent, its a pleasant one, but there are soooooo many better scents in the rose-oud sub genre.

Longevity of this one is better than a lot of other JM scents. Normally I wouldn’t wear rose but this is nice and not too feminine or rosy.

Same vibe as Al Haramain Madinah by Al Haramin minus the fruity note and the price range of course. I would say If you’re someone who really like this one, you must have Madinah by Al Haramin for the day time and Jo Malone’s for the night time. I bought this one for $170 100ml and Madinah by Al Haramin for $10 15ml. 🙂

Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud is another rose and oud perfume but it’s very nicely done. It’s not overwhelming or cloying and it’s not too loud either. This is a beautiful, non-offensive, office-wearing rose and oud perfume.

Jo Malone’s prices are soooo expensive for not worthy scents.. stays for only 2 hours maximum..

I have the Aerin rose scent and find it too sickly
The Oud can have this sickly, mediciney scent…
that a gal can smell like a GUY wearing ROSE ;p
But this is sweet enough, even in mid of Winter,
to be lovely, just lovely. Silage is horrible though.
I guess it’s just the way Jo Malone perfumes are.

Eventually I could test this one and I was not disappointed. It’s a typical rose-oud combo, no more no less, but quite well done, wether the oud is genuine or synthetical (I guess the latter).
The rose is vibrant, not heavy, rather fresh in the opening.
It’s really the type of scent that I could wear just in any moment as a favourite, reminiscent of Montale Aoud Queen Rose without the saffron nor hibiscus.
The close is not overpowering and thanksgod praline or whatever is very tamed.
A fine fragrance with an eyeblink to the East.

This is a beautiful scent but way too strong for me. I love all things rose, and this is what I imagine the black velvet roses that I have in a vase on my dresser would smell like, if they had a smell. It’s a very rich, sultry, intoxicating, gorgeous red rose, but the sweetness is just too overwhelming and becomes too cloying for me to wear. It’s like the sensation of being covered in a very heavy red velvet blanket and not being able to breathe properly. Funny the reviewer below me mentioned he has the Red Velvet & Oud candle; because I was thinking just the exact same thing with this scent; what a gorgeous candle it would make!
On the plus side, if you do enjoy wearing this; longevity is great. On my skin this is a real powerhouse. I applied only 1 dab from a rollerball last night, and the scent was so strong it was making me nauseous when I went to bed, and when I woke up, I could still smell it on my wrist. So 10/10 longevity. Really high quality fragrance and for the price it should be. Absolutely beautiful scent but unfortunately just not wearable for me personally.
I’d love the candle version though please!
PS. The Velvet Rose & Oud dry body oil and body creme both sound amazing too.

I do not own the perfume version of this scent however do own a candle in Velvet Rose Oud. It is such a beautiful fragrance, very sultry, warm and attractive. I am a huge candle lover and am obsessed with this one. It makes my whole room smell so lovely (even without burning it) as its a very strong candle. Really interested in the perfume as well as I adore the scent !
To me this smells like straight up oud sweet rose with sweet amber throughout. Even though amber/vanilla is not listed I do detect it. However after looking at the notes I think its definitely the praline. Creamy, sweet with a slight cocoa combination. I love that the glass is black because it does remind me of a dark mysterious scent. So beautiful !

wow wow wow. This is everything I have ever wanted in a perfume. Sexy, sultry, hypnotic, deep yet fresh and clean- can this be so. The dry down takes you on a journey. I honestly feel you could wear this anywhere; to work- keep application very minimal, on a date- goes without saying, winter through to summer. Though on a very hot day I would prob give it a pass.
I can smell the rose and oud on first application. The sweetness ( praline?) then kicks in and lasts t
