Description

The translucent vanilla rises from a citrus tea. An air of jasmine.
Elegant and sassy, her warm and soft sugars slide between the lightweight veils. She is a
temple’s perfume, from Byzantine or Phoenicia, whose dancing frescoes celebrate delicate
beauty.

She hides but she is there. She is the bearer of secrets, with her esthetic character born
from the new world. A swirl that delivers orange cloves to the courtesans, and leaves the
stems to the envious. Her scent dethrones the relics but loves the ancient, courting “art
nouveau.” She leads the erudite ones while preserving her mystery.
She is the ambassadress of contemplations and a collector. Modern.

Her scent is a sensual and conquering dance. Her elixir gives itself to a connoisseur.
Restrained by the cup of tea, she still caresses your senses. The nose behind this fragrance is Karine Chevallier.

vanithe What an interesting scent ! First of all, it is not a vanilla perfume. It’s an aromatic woody vanilla.
The first impression when I smelled it was something vintage , but only for a few seconds. Then it moves into some sweet territory , I smell aromatic herbal tea with honey and lemon . It is so comforting and warm. There are some powdery notes sneekong in, mixed with something resinous . Tonka and vanilla are mixed it with herbs and honey, it is like a magic potion. Very complex yet soft and sheer. Still it isn’t really light. Very sensual and interesting, I have nothing in my collection resembling this.
It”s true, it doesn’t stand out as one of those perfumes that take your breath away and make you feel intoxikcated and enamoured . But it becomes somehow addictive, it’s sensual and unusual, and I want more and more of it.
Bottom line: try before you buy , this isn’t a stunner from the first test, it’s one that needs to melt into the skin to show its nuances. Quiet , mellow, unusual. I don’t smell anything synthetic either.
    The presentation is superb .

Bad blind-buy. It smells like medicine, like children’s multi-vitamins! Terrible! At first there is an herbal lemon scent that seems ok, but it only gets worse from there. I don’t detect tea or creamy vanilla, or even some nice jasmine. As it dries down, it’s sweet, but again, a very bland, one-dimensional, boring, synthetic scent.

Very interesting scent…It goes from top note to base in about 15 minutes. For me, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. This starts out with a dark vanilla and then morphs into a honey/lemon fragrance. Interestingly, minutes later it changes back to vanilla and some sort of wood join in on the happenings. Very dense fragrance, nothing exotic. It’s hard to determine if this is full bottle worthy. I guess anything can be bottle worthy if your money is long.

Meh. Meh. Meh. The only thing that was interesting for me was the opening, which I disliked. On me this opened with rosemary and lots of verbena. It was jarring but well done. As the verbena faded a strong sweet tea appeared and stayed. Four hours in neither the benzoin nor the tonka have made any kind of appearance–I’ve got sticky sweet tea. This reminds me of Constant Comment Vanilla tea with a dollop of honey and a bit of milk. Wholesome, but not inspiring. If you’re looking for a good tea perfume I’d start with the Bulgari line or if you want to go down market a bit try Elizabeth Arden Green Tea.
    Sillage: medium
    Durability: 5 hours and counting
Fabulosity: not that anyone would notice
    Price to value: poor
    4/10

When I saw this at the shop, I thought, “Great, just what the world needs – another vanilla perfume.” But I fell in love when I smelled it. While I’m usually not a tea fan or a vanilla fan this one captures the best of both of these scents in a way that feels pretty unique.
If I have a complaint it’s the stickiness. It’s really sweet. For me this is a fragrance that can be very comforting in winter and perfume I forget about once spring comes.

Amazing perfume. A plesant combination between citrus and sweet subtile smell. Perfect and unique, great staying power.

Perfect combination of vanilla and citrus (never thought it could be done). Fresh yet very sexy. I love it.

The verbena in this was strong at the beginning, and it almost totally overpowers any other notes such as tea, rosemary, jasmine etc. I can then smell the benzoin, cedar and guaiac wood, and it eventually dries down to a sugary vanilla but a soft citrus tang stays. Unfortunately as much as the notes sound delicious, Im not really impressed by this and would not buy a bottle of it. As time goes on, more earl grey tea comes out and its making me feel queasy.

Nice and subtle chinese black tea scent, jasmine comes out in a delicious way, while vanilla is very evident only in the drydown after 3 hours. No clear rosemary note for me here, but rather an aromatic herbal edge. It is pleasant indeed. Feminine, delicate, elegant, very refined. It really goes with a “orient” tea theme and kimonos.Anyway I expected something even more sophisticated for such an imagery. Sillage stays close to the skin.

Pleasantly lemon/fruity but nothing very special – a generic citrusy cologne. After drydown, just hazy sweetness. Sure is strong & lasting.
