Surprisingly traditional and feminine–I was expecting a more rebellious concoction from the marketing. I get a little amber, but any ylang-ylang, osmanthus, vetiver, or ceder notes lifted so fast I missed them completely.
Bella Freud quickly settles to a soft, musky patchouli skin scent that is redolent of Patchouli Reminiscence. It’s lovely and I wouldn’t mind someone getting a whiff of this if they get a hug–but I prefer the sillage (and price point) of Patchouli Reminiscence.

I love this fragrance. It is the best out of the 4 Bella Freud perfume offerings. It is soft and powdery with a light woody Amber. It’s very easy to wear and I will definitely repurchase. The only thing is the high price, in Australia it is $180 for 50ml bottle, but that is the price you pay for something that is so exclusive and hard to find. The bottle is beautiful and comes elegantly packaged. I’m happy I have it in my collection. If you get the chance to try any of the Bella Freud fragrances, go for it. The next one I want to get from this collection is Ginsburg is God.
