At first I loved this – so classy! But it has a distinct “men’s aftershave” vibe to it on me. I’m not sure what I’m smelling but it’s not what I was hoping for. Sigh.

The fragrance features angelica, almond, vanilla, musk, sandalwood and guaiac wood.
I didn’t like this scent. It was very musty and powdery, eventually becoming extremely cloying.
    A pass for me.

I could see this making a very nice layering fragrance. Vanilla/almond/ever so slight woodiness if straining the nose to sniff. Thank goodness I am not getting the playdoh smell that some reviewers have mentioned, lol. This is pleasant and a nice enough vanilla/almond smell. And of course, the bottle is so gosh-darn pretty.
However, I feel like if you are budget-minded, there are similar fragrances. Very nice, but not very special, if that makes sense. I guess maybe with the pretty bottle, I expected more. It is what it says, and performs just fine. I pick up a warmth with this as the day goes on, almost like an amber note. All in all this is a nice basic vanilla/almond scent, but (runs from the AG lovers), to me, this does smell like a bakery. Sorry.. Nice, but..I just feel there are similar fragrances for better prices. I do like Annick Goutal fragrances in general, this one just does not “wow” me. I realize it is pretty much a basic vanilla/almond, nothing much more promised, but I guess maybe I feel like the quality smell is not there with this one…Nice enough, just not a ‘wow’ for me.

On me it smells like play-doh, in a very bad way… play-doh and cheap strip club, powdery fake vanilla… it might work well on others, but not with my body chemistry

this starts with a creamy vanilla and almond that has a bit of a play-doh note. after a minute or two i get something slightly dusty and warming, possibly the guiac wood? the scent is very soft and it doesn’t have a lot of projection at all. i think i sense a hint of sandalwood but not any of the other notes. it’s linear, subtle and it fades fast on me.

On first spray it was very alcohol smelling and thought the bottle was off. It settled to a smokey vanilla scent which lingered on my coat the next day. On the paper strip I could smell vanilla lace with a salty note.
It’s an ok vanilla but I’ve smelt better.

Vanille Exquise walks a fine line. It’s a true vanilla scent, but not sweet and not gourmand. Vanilla is one of those notes that can go wrong in so many ways – too sweet, too tween, too much of an air freshener, too synthetic. Goutal manages to miss all those issues and create a true natural vanilla softened with a woody, musky base.
The start is a very dry vanilla, which is my least favorite part of this fragrance. As it dries down, it opens up to a multi-faceted mix – it’s very warm and comforting.

  9. :

The most elegant vanilla perfume that I have ever smelled, likely due to the excellent vanilla/wood note balance, which gives it a slightly smoky accent. Although it is an eau de toilette, to me it has all the richness that one typically expects in an eau de parfum, and can be worn on its own at any time of the day. Good longevity and medium sillage – perfect if you want a perfume just before going for dinner: it will be present, but unobtrusive, and will have the right gourmand touch.

Not overwhelming; a very powdery vanilla.
    A def try.

  11. :

Vanilla for people who don’t really like vanillas. While this is a sweet fragrance, the resinous, musky base and delicate cosmetic powder heart keep it from feeling like a gourmand.
To note – I almost always get Play Doh from anything with an almond note. Not so with this gem.

  12. :

Actually, the notes voted least noticeable are the ones I find most prominent. The musk itself and angelica makes this very musky with a light sweet herbal feel, quite nostalgic for me as it reminds me of Elnett hairspray. The musk is quite innocent yet a bit animalic. The vanilla and almond is practically non existent. Reminiscent of another perfume by Annick Goutal, namely Musc Nomade. I probably won’t wear this very much, but I’m enchanted by the nostalgia it evokes.

Nice musky, innocent, high quality vanilla scent but nothing more. It’s sweet but not sickening sweet because of the musk rounding its edges.
It strongly remind me of Gwen Stefani’s Baby Harajuku Lovers Wicked Style

I like vanilla, and I like SOME musk. Given the reviews and notes this perfume contains, in addition to hearing that it’s a decent substitute for Le Labo Vanille 44 (note: *they are nothing alike and this is poor advice!!!*), I was excited to try this. I can sum up my experience thusly:
-I put it on at 7:30 and got amazing, nutty vanilla, with a little muskiness to spice things up
-By 8:30, it was evenly split between vanilla and musk
-By 9:30, it was all musk
I wanted vanilla, not musk. 🙁
I mean, not to knock the musk in here – it’s a pretty animalic scent but very wearable and I got a compliment from a lady across the hall. It’s just not what I was expecting from this and my body chemistry did weird things to it, again.

FRAGRANCE REVIEW FOR VANILLE EXQUISE BY ANNICK GOUTAL
Notes: Vanilla Almond Angelica Guaiac Wood Musk Sandalwood
This fragrance was very surprising. I have countless vanilla based fragrances but this is rather unique. It’s what I would dub a vanilla oud. There is as much vanilla in it as there is oud, or wood. The guaiacum wood is very clearly there, I can detect it upon the first few minutes of the spritz. Because there is no perfume pyramid formula notes of head-heart-and base, the entire thing develops into it’s linear scent very quickly and stays the same from beginning to end. It’s an almond vanilla with a nutty, woody combination. While it feels like a gourmand it’s also something of a chypre and musk. I can smell wood notes of which sandalwood is also included and very prominent, as well as animalic musk. It’s warm, rich, not too sweet, very strong and long lasting. There is one floral note of angelica, which is responsible for making the fragrance a bit powdery. The powdery deliciouness as I said lasts a long time, up to 8 hours. It’s a fragrance to wear on cold rainy days and wintery months. It’s lovely. I’ve been investing some money on Annick Goutal fragrances and they never fail to impress me. This is as fragrance house that has created a lot of winners. This is one of them. I find it to be very soothing, delicious, different from other fragrances and quite charming. Something about it reminds me of dessert shops in Vienna and Salzburg Austria.

    I got mostly almonds…
Vanilla is that fragrance that was made or blended for easy loving, especially in the dry down.
For me vanilla blends well with almost everything and made them a good substitute where it let them shine first and settle for the base notes.
This ‘vanille exquise’ maybe too exquisite to even shine for me.
    But I bought it.
Mostly because if you put your nose close enough to the place you spray it, it is heavenly and addictive. But take your nose away for the real cloud of fragrance to introduce itself, all i got was almond… a faint nutty smell, where if you were to walk in a bakery that roasting almonds, the same smell will stuck on you for a brief period. tadaa, vanille exquise.
Sorry but i got no woody smell from this, up close, down far, heart and base, just almond.. a few types of them…
I compare this to Diptyque eau duelle edp which i have and the vanilla is what it should be.
But yes, i did fall in love with the first introduction of this fragrance and the name of course. Tried a few times to love it but to no avail.
My advise it to try and wait for the dry down, if the ‘vanille’ lived up to your expectation

I don’t care for the musk in this. It’s really loud on my skin and has an animalic vibe. It somewhat overshadows the vanilla. Not my cup of tea.
    Okay longevity, low sillage.

  20. :

    4 out of 5

This is a pretty woodsy and kind of sunny sort of vanilla. Vanilla, for me, is not the main note. It’s more of a soft mixture of vanilla with powder and sandalwood, I get some florals as well. It’s well composited so they all sort of swirl together in a fluffy cloud. It’s pretty warm and cozy but a tiny bit screechy at the same time. Wears very close to the skin and has a moderate longevity on me, around 4 hours or so. I do like the powder dry down though. While nice, the entire scent just doesn’t excite me, it falls a little flat on my skin.

  21. :

    3 out of 5

On me, there is no alcohol blast. The first spritz is the woody and musk note, then lovely vanilla and powder, nutty notes at the dry down. It is a lovely vanilla that isn’t a sugar bomb, just what I wanted. Silage is good, sits closer to skin but noticeable to others. Longevity is decent, I still smell it after 4 hours. Beautiful.

  22. :

    3 out of 5

No sillage, weak stayng power. At first all I get is the strong smell of alchol. Then it becomes this very fresh, herbal vanilla smell. The drydown is so so awkward, but I kinda like it. I feel as if I was smelling a tube of toothpaste together with some very high quality vanilla beans. After some time I only smell vanilla, it smells delicious, comforting, natural, no headache inducing. It’s a pitty the fragrance is so weak. Maybe it can be a good bed time scent.

Annick Goutal perfumers apparently wanted to create the feel of a tropical island getaway with this one and I do think they’ve succeeded! VE is indeed exquisite as a Tahitian island breeze perfumed by a whiff of floral Tahitian vanilla orchids laden with pods. It begins rather sharp with a mix of alcohol & angelica but quickly fades to that gorgeous floral-vanilla breeze accompanied by a strong woody note. It is quite linear but nonetheless enjoyable. Its cuddly enough that I will be using it frequently this winter, but being an island inspired fragrance I do look forward to testing it when spring arrives.

This is almost identical to L’artisan Parfumeur’s Noir Exquis! The notes listed are slightly different but they are twins as far as I’m concerned. But I can’t quite catch the coffee note supposedly present in NE, maybe if you do then you will be able to distinguish between them.
Lovely semi-sweet vanilla hit with proper dark sticky connotations, not cookies, ice-cream or suchlike. Warm sweet woody undertones. Good lasting quality and moderate projection – NE a bit stronger in this respect (unusually for L’Artisan).

  25. :

All I smell upon first spray is nothing but Alcohol. It’s medicinal on me for the first 30-45 minutes then I start smelling a light, sweet pure vanilla. It’s a powdery vanilla on me. Reminds me of a cream color cashmere sweater or shawl wrapping your skin in warmth. It’s very natural smelling. I truly despise the first sprays until it settles down but after it does WOW, it’s a lovely true soft vanilla! Very nice.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

I would describe this as a very true vanilla scent with no other distinguishable notes. I’ve heard others describe it as a “boozy vanilla” and I could agree with that as well. It’s similar to how vanilla extract smells, although not as pungent. If you’re looking for a true vanilla with no frills, then this may be the fragrance for you. My only complaint is that it was completely gone within 2 hours. I had difficulty getting enough out of the vial to get a good sense of the fragrance on me without overdoing it. I wish Luckyscent provided spray vials instead of dab on vials. Maybe that would have helped the longevity.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

With Vanille Exquise I got exactly what I expected, a cloudy, naturally sweet vanilla.
I mostly catch hints of angelica – not so cloying here as I usually think it is – and a bit of powdered almond, which work extremely well with the vanilla bean vanilla and the woody notes to keep this scent from straying into cupcake territory. It’s soft and cosy, but persistent and this is what surprised me most. In all my experience, Annick Goutal scents have extremely poor lasting power, maxing out after about three hours or less. Vanille Exquise is however an all day affair, which is fantastic.
This scent is simple on one hand, and very clever on the other. The only other real cuddly vanilla scent I like as much as this one is Lalique Le Parfum, however that one is more more aromatic and fresh in the opening, putting it somewhere between the crisp brightness of Vanilla & Anise and the gentle comfort of Vanille Exquise.
If you want a natural vanilla, that is work-safe and grown-up, while still holding on to the childish delight of baking with vanilla extract then Vanille Exquise is well worth a try.

I’ve had my Vanille Exquise for almost two years now and I don’t know why I do not use it more often but every time I do I am reminded of why I love it. It is a very exquisite vanilla concoction. The beginning is a vibrant woody vanilla with something that reminds me of sassafras. The gorgeous dry down is rich, velvety smooth vanilla with delectable almond. This is quite elegant, from the bottle to the juice inside. This will surely get more attention from me now.

Smells like an herbal vanilla concoction. Like something the evil sorceress from a Disney movie would give you to enchant your beloved. It’s definitely interesting, but I don’t know where I would wear it.

I like this one… Maybe it’ll grow on me and become a love; I can’t tell at this point. I have a 1.75 ml sample so there’s enough for a few more wears. I smell mainly vanilla. I smell someting else too, but I can’t tell exactly what. It’s a sweet, but ‘full’ vanilla. Vanille Exquise has depth — I guess the name says it all. I’ve always loved vanilla. In my POV vanilla in bakery is a must. 🙂 I almost have the urge to lick my skin where I dabbed VE on, however, I fight the urge until further notice.

Lovely vanilla, like a freshly cut open vanilla bean. Add a slightly resiny note (I guess from the woods)and a fresh clean musky drydown – a recipe that instantly appealed to my nose.
After testing it during my lunch break (one spritz on each wrist), I read up on it, saw that a lot of people seem to regret that it has not much of a staying power. For me however, it was still noticeable when I went home in the evening, all through the evening and even lingered after I took my evening shower without having reapplied! In the morning it was gone, but that’s okay.
Another thing was that people seem to say it has weak sillage, but my man and my office mate both say they smell it on me without having to get too close…
It has the potential of becoming my first signature, although I have to say that Lann-Ael (Lostmarc’h) is a contender too.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

I have not tried too many vanilla fragrances up to date but this is definitely the nicest one so far. In the soft opening of vanilla, benzoin which I smell as honey, I was very comfortable and soothed. Then the guaiacum wood kicked in – this has always agreed with my body chemistry- brings out my agrarian and nomadic ancestors in me 🙂 I did also sense the soft almond on the drydown – a very creamy one.
Overall, a wonderful daytime fragrance for ANY season. Not overly complicated but definitely comforting and classically feminine. My only reservation about Vanille Esquise is that it evaporated to an almost imperceptible smell in less than an hour which means that you would need to keep reapplying it over and over again to continue the enjoyment. 8/10

  33. :

    4 out of 5

Vanille Exquise is not an ordinary vanilla scent. First of all, it is not technically gourmand. There is too much going on there to just simply qualify it as “one more vanilla scent”.
From the opening, I get a lot of angelica, and something unlisted… rue. It smells like rue leaves. Probably and olfactory hallucination created by the angelica-woods-vanilla combo. But it’s there, anyone who ever smelled a rue plant in their lives could make the association.
A little longer into the drydown, the vanilla comes to play, and it smells a bit like cake frosting, a bit like doll heads. The angelica slowly gives place to the benzoin and the sandalwood, and this is how it smells until the late drydown: cake frosting, doll heads and woods.
To make a long story short, it is a lovely grown up vanilla scent and, if there is something else out there that smells like it, I am still yet to find. Unfortunately, it is not a year-round fragrance, it may be too intense for warmer weather. The longevity is very good and the sillage is heavy in the first 2 hours, then it becomes quieter.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

Vanille Exquise is what the name promises, a lovely vanilla scent, especially after it’s had some time. I don’t mind the guaiac wood after a while, when it blends in with the gourmand notes to add some extra spice, but at first it’s a bit harsh, even a little unpleasant. After a quarter of an hour or so, however, this becomes such a lovely, soft scent, almonds and vanilla forming an almost fluffy haze.
It’s surprisingly light for a vanilla fragrance, which has its advantages (not too sweet, elegant, mature, very wearable) but also its disadvantages (sillage isn’t great and I find myself reapplying this way more often than most of my winter scents).
So I would have liked this to be a little stronger, I concur with other reviewers who’ve wished for an EdP version. But all in all I’m enjoying my little decant very much, it’s perfect for those days when I want something sweet and comforting but subtle and not too immature.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

On my wrist I am getting a lot of ‘furry’ musks, something like cashmeran. 1 meter around me – a creamy vanilla. Trying this on paper may reveal a lot of rosy guaiac but on skin it’s nothing like it.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

On my skin this is very similar to Keiko Mecheri’s Loukhoum Eau Poudree, like supersweet baby powder. Very nice but I prefer Eau Poudree since it’s more intense.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

Vanille Exquise is another vanilla that isn’t quite what I’m looking for; With my chemistry, I don’t get aaaaaany of the notes listed above – just a HINT of vanilla, and a TON of guaiac wood, which is mildy smoky/rubbery/bitter, all rolled in one. It’s unpleasant to my senses, because this particular wood often gives my sinuses the sensation that I’m smelling a highly concentrated alcohol – that slight burning, fuzzy, water-in-the-nose feeling. So it overpowers any trace of sweetness that might’ve been in this fragrance.
If your skin amplifies woods like mine does – I would suggest steering clear!

I wish I would have had the same experience with this as everyone else, but it’s pure patchouli and musk on me, not a fan.

A different vanilla, very grown up, mature and sexy.

Oh, I am so very bummed!!!! On my skin vanilla sometimes turns to a salty salty play dough smell. And this my friends is exactly what happened with Vanille Exquise. Behind the scenes, I love that she went off the board with this one and did her own thing ticking a lot of people off in the process. I think it’s wonderful when perfumers shake things up a bit and don’t conform to what others think they should create. So I wanted to love this. But alas, it was not meant to be. I get the same darn effect from Dior Hypnotic Poison.
So to all you lovely people who’s skin loves and welcomes this scent with open arms I wish you all the best. For me I now smell like my 4 year old after an afternoon of playing in the cans of play dough. Off to scrub!!

Revisited AG’s VE after some time: Funny enaugh I disliked it some years ago, because it was too simple, too much car refreshening vanilla and overall too immature. At this point you can sell me car refreshening vanillas, who’d guessed that?
It’s a very nice, slightly woody, still sweet vanilla – to me very much gourmand, but than I usually don’t eat vanilla flavours but only the real thing, so maybe that’s the reason. To me it does smell artificial vanilla, though.
I’d buy it and wear it, wouldn’t it be as thin as air. And pricey for that whiff of a vanilla, that you get from it.
With the exception of AG’s Sables I find all perfumes of this house to be too transparent to be considered fb in my book. Nearly as weak as L’Artisan’s. I like my fumes to have more ooohmp!.

Creamy, sensual, warm and delicious. I have been searching for a perfect vanilla fragrance. I even bought CB I Hate Perfume 7 Billion Hearts in my quest (expensive!) But I have to say Vanille Exquise is much more to my liking. There is nothing harsh about this vanilla. It’s soft and enveloping. Not great staying power but then it only comes in eau de toilette. I also love Un Bois Vanille by Serges Lutens but both Un Bois Vanille and 7 Billion Hearts have a harsh edge to them. Some may argue that this makes these two more interesting than the Annick Goutal offering. There’s liquorice in the Lutens and Amber (I think) in 7 Billion Hearts.
To me Vanille Exquise is the perfect ‘pure’ almond vanilla. Very wearable and instantly addictive. For Vanilla fans only!!

It never ceases to amaze me how many vanilla perfumes there are in existence–and that their number appears to be increasing nearly as fast as that of those boasting oud! I suppose that it should not be that surprising, given the ready availability of the substance, as evidenced by the volume of vanilla extract consumed in kitchens each year. The big surprise to me is that so many people should want to smell like vanilla extract!
Vanilla used to be the signature back-drop to classic Guerlain perfumes, but all bets are off now post-Y2K. Since then, vanilla has stepped forward to claim an entire chunk of the grand olfactory map, and most every niche line-up has their equivalent to a vanilla-solifore. To say nothing of the huge group of sweet celebrity and designer vanilla-patchouli scents!
Annick Goutal VANILLE EXQUISE offers the vanilla note in a less-sweet composition with a bit more wood than usual and a slightly Playdoh-ish quality, although I hasten to add that it is nowhere even close to Dior HYPNOTIC POISON, in part because it is so much thinner, with the viscosity of water. On the house-manufactured card accompanying the sample I found that this eau de toilette is given as 91%, which I believe is verging on cologne territory.
In any case, upon initial application, I was struck by the similarity of the woody quality to that of this house’s jasmine perfume, which I did not like very much. Here the same base appears to be present, but it is not so strong as to overwhelm the vanilla. Of course, that would probably be pretty difficult to do, but the point is that vanilla and wood are equal partners in this perfume.
The benzoin must be what accounts for what I perceive as a Playdoh quality. It is light and likeable, and overall this is a pretty nice vanilla perfume, as far as vanilla perfumes go. I am not that keen on such simple vanilla perfumes myself, but I’m sure that those who love to smell like wood-tinged vanilla extract will find lots to like here!

One more thing I forgot to add….. All these beautiful perfume bottles look lovely displayed on our bedroom tables….but if you really want to preserve the fragrance and make it last as long as possible, then try to keep it in it’s box, so it is protected from light.
Fragrances do go off after time and the delicate ingredients are sensitive to light and also temperature.
The more expensive the fragrance, the more precious and delicate are the oils that will be used! AG Vanille Exquise is no exception!

Further to my earlier review and in response to others wondering where you can buy this in the UK…. In London it can hopefully still be purchased in Fenwick Brent Cross (along with the rest of the AG range), and at Selfridges Oxford Street!
Maybe Harrods too…..but I’ve not been there for years so really not sure.
    Hope this helps, Ladies!
Why not phone them in advance to see if they stock it, I often do this as I don’t want to be disappointed on arrival as perfume buying does get me rather excited!!! I’m an addict!
John Lewis Brent Cross only seem to have a few of the AG fragrances, not Vanille Exquise.
You may also be able to buy this directly from Annick Goutal…I once emailed them through their website several years ago, as it was so hard to buy, and got a response back saying I can purchase it directly from them…though paying postage from mainland Europe as well of course!
They used to manufacture a 50ml bottle of Vanille Exquise too, but now it is only the 100ml bottle. More expensive, but worth it!
    Good luck!

Vanille Exquise is creamy-soft and peppery at the same time. It’s also deliciously delicate…it has a unique wispy, airy quality that I don’t often observe in vanilla scents. This is one of few vanilla perfumes I would describe as being on the “cooler” side, despite the fact that it still has a quiet warmth about it. There’s nothing overly sweet or syrupy here; this is a serene, elegant, woody vanilla. The combination of peppery woods, delicate musk, creamy almond, and raw vanilla is gorgeous and addictive. It’s worth noting there is also benzoin in this composition, despite it not being listed above.
This is an example of a delicate vanilla scent done well…although it is understated, it has a wonderful presence. The only downside is the lasting power, which could be a little better.

  54. :

    4 out of 5

Vanille Exquise is a soft, cozy, milky, and woody vanilla. It’s very comforting to wear at home in the evening and night, which is my favorite time to wear it. The only downside for me is that something about it reminds me of men’s shaving cream.

If you’re going to name a fragrance “exquise” something, you’d better make sure it’s kind of special.
And the perfumers definitely got this one right! I can’t recall another vanilla-dominated fragrance that is so light and dainty and yet so rich and satisfying at the same time. One of my new favorites!
A charming and elegant vanilla base with perfectly measured amounts of almond, angelica and wood, etc. This is what the art of perfumery is all about. A magical little number that is yummy and light as air. I’m gliding through my day on it’s loveliness.
If it came in EDP concentration, I would surely want that, but I’m happy with the EDT.

Finally getting around to doing this review! Have had so many other samples that have been testing out this past week! First of all, I bought this blind, as stated on my first review. I rushed into it, when I could have bought the sample first, but being impulsive, went ahead and bought it. First of all, when I first sprayed it on, I thought, OH No!! vanilla essence! I was terrified it was going to stay like that, just plain old vanilla (cheapee type essence). But after a few minutes it changed. (great sigh of relief:))). A lovely unusual dry vanilla is how I would explain it. The almonds are faint, but come through slightly. very pleasant dry down, bit of a musky powder affect. I am very very happy with this one! It is a completly different experience compared to L Lolita., as L is sweeter, and has the spicey orange in it.As I have said in my other reviews, these fragrances should be tested first in my opinion. Some of the others from this house are not to my liking at all. I see that it is available again, and, in some places online, the price has even gone up. But all in all, a lovely unusual vanilla fragrance, and I know I will enjoy wearing this very much!

So, I guess Play-doh is meant to smell like vanilla?
I’ve seen commenters on other reviews of other perfumes talk about a “play-doh” scent and I’d never come across that… UNTIL TODAY!
Fully not even expecting Play-doh, I sprayed my first spritz of this AG scent, and…. THERE it was! ugh. Play-doh. Not that play-doh smells bad for a ball of colored squishy stuff… but I don’t want that in my perfume!
So disappointed. I get no other note. No woody. No musky or powder. No almond. Naddah!
Just play doh. Bummer I got the 100ml size too!
    Maybe I’m just unrefined.
I will continue to try this, because I have learned that time of day, month, year and mood can really toy with our senses. So, I put her away until another day.
    *sigh*

Well…I’ve done it now!! On my quest to find the most wonderful, creamy, non citrus) vanilla, I have gone ahead and ordered this blind! Mainly from reading these glowing reviews! First of all, you can’t find it anywhere! Went on most of the online shops, but they had most of the other fragrances, but not this one, but just managed to get it on the Amazon U.K., and it was the last bottle!! God, I hope it lives up to my expectations!! It is expensive, but sounds so lovely and vanilla perfect:)). I will write my review when I receive it, but for now, keeping fingers and everything else crossed:))

I first smelled it last week in Paris and I fell in love right away! I am a big fan of vanilla based fragrances, not too sweet or overwhelming vanilla, but elegant, ambery vanilla. AG Vanille Exquise is “the” elegant vanilla, in my opinion. The strong sandalwood base notes create a perfect balance with creamy almond notes, leaving a musky soft finishing scent. Definitely my next purchase, since I have to finish some other good bottles here before they go bad!

Absolutely loved it-after trying all of AG fragrances in the local shop, i have found this one -the most desirable. Warm, not overly sweet, stays close to skin and oh so elegant vanilla. I am not a fan of vanilla, but this one has brought a picture-cold day, northern europe, or maybe baltic seashore, windy and chilly, sea breethe can be felt in distance…warm coat, crispy cotton shirt underneath-nice quality real cold weather clothes…and this fragrance…warm room with nice food is waiting for me and my companion…cosy, settled and just a tiny bit nostalgic.

This scent is so lovely, it starts with a vanilla whith a dark and sexy shadow (almonds and angelica). And then it develops into a delicious warm vanilla to die for! This is the perfect
