Description

The house of Dior continues to expand its line of Miss Dior fragrances, formerly known as Miss Dior Cherie, with the new edition Miss Dior Le Parfum launching in September 2012. Miss Dior Le Parfum is the new perfume extract, more dense and rich with pronounced sophisticated character.

The scent is described as seductive, elegant, sensual and intoxicating nocturnal fragrance, suitable for special rendezvous. It states its femininity with oriental – chypre character and prominent and opulent floral notes.

Perfumer François Demachy said he “wanted to bring something precious and luminous to the composition of Miss Dior Le Parfum, like an oriental jewellery set or the reflections of shimmering fabric.” The composition includes highly concentration of the following ingredients: mandarin, Bulgarian rose absolute, Turkish rose absolute, patchouli, amber and vanilla.

The face of the perfume is elegant yet natural actress Natalie Portman who shows a new aspect of her seduction: more confident and more womanly. Miss Dior Le Parfum is available as a perfume extract in a bottle of 40 ml.

Beautiful Natalie Portman in yet another Miss Dior (formerly Miss Dior Cherie) edition campaign. Miss Dior Le Parfum is announced as elegant, sensual and intoxicating nocturnal perfume extract.
The nose behind this fragrance is Francois Demachy.

This is by far the Best of all the Miss Dior flankers !

This is so beautiful – it has become my signature fall/winter fragrance. On my skin, this is a boozy, syrupy GORGEOUS vanilla – and that is all I get from it. No patchouli (unless if I try to use it in warm weather, which I don’t do because otherwise it smells differently and is no longer that ultra feminine, elegant timeless perfume). I hope that they never discontinue this, it’s perfect as it is and I know it will stand the test of time.

I agree with the previous review, this doesn’t smell young at all, it’s a lot more mature with a note that sort of reminds me of my grandmother. I get the amber, warmth and vanilla but I’m not too keen on the opening as I find it a bit harsh. I only like the scent when it starts to settle a few hours after application. Spillage and longevity are great, I get a lot of compliments when wearing it but I’d recommend for colder evenings and nights.
Would I repurchase? No. I don’t reach for this often so my bottle will last me a lifetime. Maybe I will appreciate this as I get older and my tastes evolve. For now, I just…..don’t know.

Whoa, this has absolutely nothing to do with the actual Miss Dior 2012 . Doesn’t smell very miss to me more like Madam Dior. A bit harsh and spicy in the opening but settles into elegant creaminess. Smells very sophisticated and expensive. I like it fine but I prefer the other versions.

Walked into a store looking for Ysatis by Givenchy and it was out of stock. The Sales lady then said this would be a good alternative. WOWEEEEE what a pleasant surprise!
It’s so sophisticated. The scent of a mature, classy older woman that refuses to be associated with petty drama!
    Thank you Dior!

    I really loVe this one!!
It is like my fav eva parfum Miss Dior Originale EDT.
I can detect some notes from the Original Miss Dior EDT Vintage.
    A vintage touch.
    A winter one.
    Not too much sugary.
If you like vintages get a sniff.

Oh my God, Helbo’s comment made me laugh so hard!
Imagine the ad – “Smell Dead not bad” . Because not being alive is no excuse for stinking.
Nice perfume but I still prefer Chérie Edt to all others.

  9. :

Oh, this one is strong. Definitely an evening perfume, very dense, with non-gourmand sweetness, beautiful amber and spices.
I can’t help thinking of “Coco”, when I smell it, of almost unimaginable for me earlier, “Coco” without its cloves.
Overall, it stands far from Miss Dior EDP or EDT, it is more like a new perfume, not a flanker.
And I just can not wrap my mind around the idea that this comes not only in 40 but also in 75 ml bottles.

OMG! This one STUNK so bad on my skin. Strong and dominant amber NEVER works on me, even it already got “diluted” and “freshened” up a little bit by tons of “minty” patchouli. My husband nicely “requested” me to wash it off my wrist immediately. It does not matter now or years later, I can not buy or wear perfume/fragrance like this one. Period! Good thing that they still have Miss Dior EDP and Miss Dior EDT…and many, many different others 🙂
This one vaguely reminded me of Jo Malone Amber & Lavender Cologne, just because of the amber note (that one is another total disaster on me).

Dear House of Dior, I am going to ask Santa to bring you a dictionary for Christmas. An old fashioned book type dictionary, so that you can close your eyes, flip open any page starting with D, and stick your finger on new D names for your fragrances. Feel free to flip open anywhere because I am flippin’ mad at trying to sort out which Miss Dior I have/want/regret buying. Yes, you might open the page at DOG or DEAD, but you did bring out POISON so how bad can it be?
If it helps anyone out there, Dior does list the Miss Dior’s on their official site.
    OK, rant over. Sorry.
In respect to THIS Miss Dior (Miss Dior Le Parfum 2012), it comes now in 75 as well as 40ml and is not discontinued.
As others have said, this is linear – what you get at the start is what you get – and that’s not a criticism, because I can smell each note anyway. It’s beautifully blended. Is it worth the elevated price though? IMO No. While it is absolutely lovely, Miss Dior Le Parfum is not groundbreaking nor revolutionary. Dior is doing a Keloggs – reducing the volume of the cereal while upping the price. However …..if money is no object (drat you), and you love this, go for it. I’ll save my hard earned for Dior DEAD Extrait.

I waited to buy this because there seems to be much confusion for perfume lovers about just what this is, as there are so many Miss Dior flankers out there!
I took a chance and bought it, never having smelled it. I knew I made the right decision as soon as I sprayed it. Which, by the way, two sprays was too much! It’s super strong and very long lasting. 8+ hours.
I can catch the citrusy beginning and the rest is just delicious amber, patchouli and vanilla. It is so warm and comforting. I did not get the rose smell at all.
While wearing this perfume, it felt more like ‘me’ than any other. Dior perfumes just really work wonderfully with my skin chemistry.
Look at all the great reviews and buy this! It’s not discontinued. You can find it at Nordstrom online, I believe Saks online too, and maybe Barneys, etc…The Dior website itself is still selling it, so…not discontinued.

This juice is impressive!!! I got a bottle on eBay. Oh my god!! I feel like Marilyn Monroe when I wear this! I don’t know why this perfume doesn’t have 10,000 reviews on here lol. If you like ladylike classic scents and want to smell expensive, go for this!

Sephora is selling online BUT only one amount available 1.35 OZ (40 ml) for $100. I believe it is discontinued, none of Notinos, fragranceX or other stores have it.

This scent lasts for days on clothing and maybe 8 hours on skin! It’s got an impressive lasting power and it’s such a soft romantic scent.
I definitely get the orange and patchouli when first sprayed and the dry down is mostly a powdery patchouli.
It’s not exactly my cup of tea but it’s nice for a soft, clean, sweater weather type of feel.

@ evelyn, this isn’t dc’d. I just saw it at sephora. Anyways this is a very strong old school perfumey vanilla scent

I bought a big 75ml bottle of this a few years ago as it was love at first sniff! An absolutely beautiful scent, deep and best for colder months. It is of course discontinued now … you just keep on breaking my heart Dior 🙁
This is not an everyday/work scent, it’s very strong & lasts forever (one spray is enough). I reserve it for special occasions now that my bottle is running low.

    Uniqueness – 8/10
    Longevity – 8/10
    Sillage – 8/10
    Value for money – 8/10
Rounded, dense, “perfumey”, luscious, very Dior. One of the few recent creations from this house that has a strong “bone structure”, character, charisma. While wearing this fragrance, you’ll hold your back straighter than usual and feel more confident. If you want to feel like the world is at your feet – try this.
Well-blended to a point where I can’t single out any notes. At about 2nd hour of wear I got a whiff of a dense ambery citrus scent, but not sweet. I kept wondering “flowers? yes. fruits? yes, citruses. patchouli? yes, but not annoying”.
Rose+vanilla make this extraordinary cocktail even more feminine.
My recommendation: spray it on your skin, but don’t smell directly from it, this beauty is gorgeous in sillage. Smell from at least 30cm.

This is so deep, dark and rich…….I sometimes spray a little Diorissimo edt along with. Chanel and Dior frags are so well blended that with research and care the combinations are devine! And unique!

  22. :

@momo363 discontinued since last summer, so the prices will soon explode for the last bottles available on the sale websites. The best from the entire series, extreme longevity and sillage and an absolutely masterpiece. Like someone said here, this is the parfumery. Stunning and no wonder why discontinued too soon (old stock totaly disappeared from strawberry, luckyscent, notino or fragrancex….) great sillage and ENORMOUS longevity!

  23. :

Hands down the best of the modern miss dior formulations! This is rich, full bodied and expertly crafted. I would often sneak sprays from the tester at work. I would actually consider buying this if I could get my hands on it. Stunning.

Miss Dior Cherie has moved out of home, set herself up in a downtown studio apartment, dumped her dumbass sports jock boyfriend, and found herself some hip new friends who un-ironically wear bow ties and boater hats while sipping on small-batch vodka.
Oh, and she stole her mother’s bottle of Coco on the way out the door.
Miss Dior Le Parfum is a crash-course in classic perfumery for the fruitchouli generation. If you threw in some heavy spices (clove, cinnamon, anise) and toned down the vanilla, it wouldn’t feel out of place among the Opiums of the world. But its massive sweetness brings it back into contemporary territory. A warm, creamy patchouli and amber accord is balanced with a well-behaved rose, while the mandarin top note adds sparkle. It’s very feminine and refreshingly elegant. Groundbreaking? No, but well executed and perfectly wearable.
Now if only Dior stopped confusing the heck out of everyone with their absurd naming and reformulation conventions…

Oh my! Thanks to the wonderfully generous Xrayer, I have my very own bottle of this beautifully womanly fragrance! A warm sweet chypre, this is a sensual delight. I’ve just torn it open and liberally sprayed it through my hair and over my arms and am walking around with a big grin on my face – spicy without being oriental, more in line with Dolce Vita (or a cloveless Coco) but can see the references – the bones of those two powerhouses crossed then brought forward a couple of decades, modernised, vamped up with vanilla amber which is sexy without being remotely sugary (more Serge Luten’s Ambre Sultan than Juicy Couture). Deeply sexy, feminine and fun all at once. YUM, thank you Xrayer!
Edited as after a few wears I concur with other reviewers that this does indeed smell like Christmas, mmm.

  26. :

    3 out of 5

This is very perfumey. I have no clue what I am smelling. The orange stands out, as does the almost fruity rose scent, the heady earthiness of patchouli, the sweetness of amber, and the creaminess if vanilla but they are all blended together so much than none shows its full self. There’s other stuff there too — maybe iris, maybe jasmine, maybe something more plastic but I’m not confident on any of them.
I can see why others find this elegant, but it’s really not my style.

I adore amber and patchouli, so I really like this scent on my skin at first spray. It smells strong, sophisticated, expensive, confident. From reading other reviews I was expecting a powerful sillage and a lasting fragrance, but on my skin it fades to a skin scent after only 2-3 hours. A bit disappointing, because I wanted the strong stuff! I think skin chemistry really does matter. E.g. I’ve been wearing Mon Guerlain almost every day, and while I know seasoned perfumistas are not that impressed with it, on my skin it projects and has personality and blends so well with my skin chemistry. I was not expecting it to. It was an impulsive find. And I thought Miss Dior Le Parfum would last on me as a spicy, patchouli-amber scent, but it seems that it does not. Perfume is personal!

  29. :

    5 out of 5

I’m not a fan of this flanker. It has nothing to do with the playful Miss Dior edp and edt, there is not even a hint of its predecessors, and I’m not exaggerating. I’ve tried it twice and both times got the same impression. Too much amber and patchouli in it. It’s dirty, earthy smelling. And no, it’s not similar to Midnight Poison either. That one has a clean, cold patchouli note, and Miss Dior Le Parfum smells warm, very ambery, almost hippy-ish (in my experience, strong amber mixed with heavy patchouli always results in smelling hippy-ish). Just please try before you buy, otherwise you may end up disappointed.

I am very picky but still very open to all families of perfume, I do not discriminate against any particular family or specific note. This perfume is my ride and die scent!
I first smelled Miss Dior Cherie (Discontinued, and similar to this) on a friend of mine 10 years ago when we were in high school. Even as a teenager, this scent stood out. While most girls at the time were wearing fruity fragrances such as Vera Wang Princess or JLo’s Glow, my friend had exquisite taste. She was the kind of girl that instead of shopping at Aeropostale or American Eagle, she already begun to wear black jeans, with simple cardigans in her daily chic ensemble. What’s great about this perfume is that much like the most recent Natalie Portman commercial portrays, is feminine, but not basic. It does not smell like every other floral or fruity scent, yet, it has an element of risk and sass that say Chanel’s Mademoiselle or Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue lacks. Another great element about this perfume is that though it last lasts forever, in my experience of wearing it, does not come off as “too much”… like a classic sexy oriental perfume. It’s perfectly charming for work, yet cheeky enough for a date. It also works whether you’re 25 or 75. How I would describe the woman wearing this perfume is someone who is not a people pleaser or tries too hard, yet people immediately notices her subtle charms and is drawn towards her enthusiasm.

    I love this perfume !
the deep musky vanilla and amber turns creamy and sweet on my skin, lingering for hours and creating a very mature, grown up scent. A little goes a long way, definitely not one to spray more than 2 times.
I have a sample that i’m trying to make last before I buy a bottle!
This is what I imagine Genevieve from Madeline smells like lol.

Totally agree with Shwets – this has something Christmas about it. It is a winter night scent, though a glamorous one. Amber always leans a bit holiday to me, though it may be a personal association. If you have any aversion to patchouli whatsoever I would steer clear of Miss Dior Le Parfum however. It comes on strong and can make this “difficult” for some.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

The only sane reformilation of Miss Dior. This is pure elegance. Now this is how you do a reformulation/flanker.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

Stunning perfume! Like a rugged Coco eau de parfum…..the patchouli in this is amazing. It reminds me of Christmas – spicy, gingerbready and softly powder. Yet im wearing this in the heat and it smells gorgeous! Thank you to dear Feltface.

  36. :

The new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum is an expensive smell though linear and simple. It’s elegant and glamorous and fits the brand Dior quite well. I was afraid of wearing this perfume because I thought it would be a bit overpowering and old -lady but it’s not. This is so lovely. Smells of beautiful roses pink and red roses in a bouquet very romantic and something for a bride on a summer wedding. Natalie Portman picked out the notes herself and did a terrific job. This is a good frag to wear as an alternative to the sweet girly Miss Dior Cherie or the body mist barely there scent Blooming Bouquet. It’s the best in the Miss Dior line.
Opens with citruses and a little green note like green leaves around orange trees and a sweet mandarin juice. Fresh and very old timey but wearable for 2017. Smells of a teensy bit of aldehyde but it’s very well done. The freshness is perfect for after your shower on a hot summer day. Smells of day time and summer. The citrus embraces rose notes. A good rose that becomes warmer and darker like a tea rose with chamomile and patchouli herbal touches. This part is more mature like Tea Rose Perfumer Workshop but much more enjoyable and less intense.
This perfume is modern but smells vintage and classic at the same time. It’s like it’s trying to compete with older classics like Chanel No. 5. Without the musk and the bigger green notes it’s a simple soapy type of scent and really quite pretty. In the dry down a nice powder and vanilla take over kissing my skin with a softness like a blanket. So much to love about this perfume. It’s gorgeous.
    A commercial winner

Call me a basic bitch, but I freaking love this perfume!
Yes, I know: every girl and her mom is wearing it…
And how can you blame them? It smells rich, heady, dazzling at a distance!
    Basically, a real perfume!
It’s got spunk, grit. A good patchouli oriental with a boozy, back of the throat rasp and a touch of smooth vanilla creaminess to let you know you’re still in chic French territory (and haven’t taken the train straight to India)
Strictly a cold weather perfume, btw. You don’t want to suffocate people, nor give them “hippy-aunt” flashbacks.
I think what I like most about Miss Dior Parfum is it’s slightly unsentimental, almost medicinal freshness.
This girl’s passionate, but she knows how to keep her distance. 😉

To my nose, this opens with a HEAVYYYYYY patchouli and no complaints here as I love patchouli. I can also find a lot of amber in it plus a little bit of rose and vanilla.
The most surprising thing to me was that when I first spray it, I get a very delicious cacao as if I had opened a jar full of cacao powder. After 30 minutes I can still detect it, but it’s harder as the sharp amber comes out to play.
After 1 hour the rose becomes more prominent, and it’s my favorite part of the Miss Dior Le Parfum. It’s like the most beautiful rose bouquet with some orange zest. It’s really elegant, and the best thing is that there is no hint of musk, which is a note I hate! But this stage is when the scent is getting faint and much more close to the skin. Unfortunately, it doesn’t project well, and I have to find the spot on my wrist to be able to smell it.
If I could amp up this stage of the Miss Dior Le Parfum by 5 times, I would buy it right now! Maybe if I did like 10 sprays of it, it would project the way I’m looking for! And this is supposed to be a “La Perfume”?! come on Dior! Stop watering down your designer line! Stop pretending like this is good stuff while you’re still making beasts in your private niche side! :/
Longevity is 4 hours and in the last 2 hours, it will be a skin scent.
All in all, I think this is a beautiful, elegant spring scent for a girly but sexy woman between 25 and 35, Daily use preferred. It’s non-offensive, safe and pleasant and it can be worn at work. BUT you need to spray a lot of it, so make sure you can afford it. 🙂

This is the perfume that invented perfume. It embodies feminity and throws caution to the wind if compared to “girliness”. She’s ALL woman and she’s beautiful. All perfumes should look up to her as a mentor. This perfume is for any and every woman 21+. If this isn’t in your collection, baby pull out that debit card and immediately head to Sephora or Ulta. Never purchase this from a website, it gets duped all the time and it’s fake predaseccor is hideous. Lastly, it’s sophistication will render you jaw dropped. Notes-schmopes, this baby was made by God… Nobody cares what’s in it honey, put it on!

This is really astoundingly beautiful. The bottle is houndstooth glass, the liquid glowing golden. I’ve had my bottle for a year and the essence of the perfume is tinting the cap golden a little. I feel like this is a rich, true perfume in every sense – like something you’d find on Jane Russell’s dressing table. I smell amber, patchouli and rose – definite shades of Chanel’s original Coco but still retaining the spirit of Miss Dior. This is a gorgeous redux of the old-fashioned perfumes of the 1940’s and 1950’s. Like if La Vie Est Belle had less vanilla and more amber and rose, with a touch of orange. Fabulous!

  41. :

    A true perfume.
Feminine, classy, and classic but still remarkably unique. Very tasteful and alluring. I’m very drawn to this perfume and it’s become one of the most popular in my wardrobe. If only the bottles were bigger than 40ml, then we’d be in business!
Amber, rose, and patch are the key players here, and they all share the spotlight. One doesn’t dominate over the other, they all blend together as a perfect trifecta. I don’t get much vanilla, but there’s certainly a detectable hint of orange there which lends the perfume a sweetness. Overall, Miss Dior le parfum has an almost thick, syrupy quality to it. Not in a cloyingly sweet way, just in the sense that the ingredients are rich and concentrated. I love it so much that I’d probably wear in summer too but with one or two sprays vs. the three of four i’ve been wearing in winter.
its an elegant but young scent, and i think anyone could wear this. its really beautiful. very femme, quite a regal air about it…

  42. :

    4 out of 5

Miss Dior Le Parfum departs from the fun girlishness of the rest of the Miss Dior line and creates a mood suitable for a seductive evening. Oh my gosh, this is along the lines of Coco. The Ambroxan is heavy (when is it not?), along with patchouli and a touch of rose and orange. Once I’m down to the base notes there is a lot of tonka. That is, I smell tonka the next day, because this lasts all the way through. Sillage is huge, as someone could smell me across the room and indeed throughout the house. That was with half a spritz. HALF. Now THIS is a perfume.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

Aw my… this scent s just perfect in a way. As someone said, its the old chypre vibe mixed with modern warmth. Its a modern classic. Chic for the women who do not want to wear theirs mothers scent anymore but make their own history. Strong and warm at once. I just love it.
    Silage: just right
    Longevity: endless
    10/10

  44. :

    4 out of 5

Gorgeous fragrance! Suffers a little in the sillage/longevity area tho. I think I will try it in warmer weather as others have mentioned! I think it resembles Yves Rocher un Boise Sensual and Voile d’ambre.

  45. :

    5 out of 5

To me, Miss Dior Le Parfum is the queen of all fragrances – after a long journey, I have found the scent that defines me, uplifts me makes me feel alive. But so as not to waste such a precious juice, I like one spritz of Miss Dior Le Parfum spread between pulse points, then use about four spritzes all over with Yardley Jade, and use Jade to top up during day – both scents are chypre-florals and complement each other like magic. I think I have found my perfume nirvana! If this combination does not work with your skin chemistry, try a dab of your favourite EDP and find an EDT in the same fragrance family to layer and top up for that uplift in the day…good luck in your unique fragrance hunt! 🙂

Ok, I’ve given a review if this before
    But
I tried one in a pharmacy or maybe the dept store and it was in winter/spring and it was this sweaty wood for hours, though the dry down was amazing. I couldn’t justify the price if I had to sit through sweat for that long. I did not check the product codes for these.
I tried this again in mid summer, from another pharmacy and it was a woody vanillary bomb, I loved it. I checked the product code and it was fresh.
I bought one online and it’s a bit older but, it tends to skip past the woody notes and go straight to the lovely dry down I love. I want the wood, but good to know yeah??

I was in a pursuit of a new spring fragrance. I really wanted to like this perfume but the patchouli was too strong for my liking. However, I do like amber in this one but wished for a stronger vanilla scent that to my nose wan’t too noticeable. I’m glad I did not make a blind buy!

  48. :

    5 out of 5

Miss Dior Le Parfum is very different from all the Miss and Mademoiselle flankers. No, scratch that, Mistress Dior is in my opinion the only flanker any lady should buy.
    -more dense and rich? Yes!!
-pronounced sophisticated character/elegant? Not only, to my nose she is “dirty” in a good way too. The exact aspect the rest of Miss/Mademoiselle flankers are missing
    -seductive, sensual and intoxicating? Absolutely
-nocturnal fragrance, suitable for special rendezvous? Yes, but it deserves to be worn even in daytime.
    -oriental? Yes
-chypre character? it might have amber and patchouli but judging by the result she isn’t a chypre, not even chypre-like. If it had either oakmoss or vetiver as well ,then it would resemble a chypre.
-prominent and opulent floral notes? No florals come off this perfume.
Perfumer François Demachy said he “wanted to bring something precious and luminous to the composition of Miss Dior Le Parfum, like an oriental jewellery set or the reflections of shimmering fabric.” I will have to disagree with Monsieur Demachy… Miss Dior Le Parfum is way darker than what he intended it to be. Precious it is, but nothing luminous here, its fumes remind me of a lady in a black turtleneck always holding a cigarette, with a serious expression, yet smiling eyes.
Starts straight up with amber to me. Patchouli develops in a matter of minutes and for the first two-three hours it is heady and not cloyingly sweet. I sense something vanillic, and a lot of smoke, so amber here is basically labdanum and vanilla. The patchouli although in the background, is a realistic one. Nor hippy-ish (sweet beauty Angel Thierry Mugler) and neither clean, rounded up (Coco Mademoiselle I’m pointing at you). Realistic herbalish patchouli and not so prominent.
Not many of layers: citrus adds and then rose is more prominent.
After three hours of wear the only thing is amber and the rest could be almost undetectable in the background. Heavy and mature.
While wearing it, I made a connection with Prada Amber. Most prominent notes of both are amber and patchouli. They do resemble each other, but they aren’t sister perfumes. If you like amber but not patchouli, try Miss Dior Le Parfum. Honestly if i sniffed the drydown without having experienced it from the start I would hardly tell that there’s pathouli. Prada Amber on the other hand is definitely patchouli centered and in the drydown, even though the resins are a lot more prominent, patchouli is clearly detectable.
Long lasting but I wouldn’t say it projects much.
    A yes from me

    I don’t know how people love this…
I get a very woody opening, heaven help you if you get in your clothes, you might smell musky rose or patchouli, but then you get sweat smell. I don’t get much else for hours, only after 3 hours do I get something I like, a long lasting subdued musky floral thing.
But to wait that long to like it, no thanks, not for $200.
I’ll give it credit though, its deep, it shows it’s layers slowly, it seems like a long lasting frag.. I would try this first though. Nice that it’s not a fruit bomb

Elegant and delicious Amber fragrance. very warm and soothing. definitely a fall/winter fragrance.
a character of its own, i cant compare it with Miss dior cherie at all..but if i have to then i would say that miss dior cherie had come of age. she’s grown into miss dior le parfum now.

No, this is not L’Originale, though it is much confused with that one, or with the Miss Dior EDP, thanks to the Dior house who has driven us mad with the multitude of flankers. Ok, a small detailles, if U ever get as confused as I was, I tell You, the bow on the lid of Le Parfume, feels rough to the touch and it is mat, comparing to others. I would have loved this one to have been a fragrance of its own, not a miss Dior flanker. But beside name and being a flanker, this is an absolutely beautiful masterpiece. I love it, I really do and we will be friends for long now on I am sure. Yes, the 2012 reformulation was a bit different, but the 2015 is bit less sweet which for me is a good feature. I think now is time for a new release, Dior, hmmm? U didn’t quite hit the roof with Your absolutely Blooming which personally, I would have released in spring, for being so flowery. But, well, You guys know better.

I first try it and didn’t like it, then like it again, then finally ask to get the sample from Sephora. When I got home and smell it again, no… I don’t like it but then I smell it again after 2 months past. I fall in love. I order 2 bottles! It was a love hate for me at the beginning. I guess it is because the combo of rose and patchouli is very outstanding. But when I really smell the magic in this simple combination, you get the feeling fresh, bright, sensual, luxury and classic in one.

It is very nice. I like it actually. But Miss Dior Cherie was my signature for years, my absolute perfume love, and when I smell this…I just miss Miss Dior Cherie. Makes me sad that it was discontinued, so I can’t wear this one as lovely as it is.

Le parfum….i try it today and it,s indeed a nice fragrance but. …reminded me coco edp a lot ! Coco edp it,s sweeter and stronger in the base notes . It,s the amber note that makes it so similar to Coco !

I absolutely love this perfume. In fact I consider it one of my all time favorites. However, it seems that I’m unable to wear it because for some reason it just doesn’t agree with me. By that I don’t mean that it smells wrong on my skin–it smells wonderful on my skin and has some of the best longevity and sillage I’ve ever experienced in a fragrance. But every single time I wear this perfume I get the most excruciating stomach aches. I’ve never been extremely sensitive to fragrances–not many give me headaches or affect me in any other negative ways–but this one is so bittersweet for me because I absolutely adore wearing it, but it just doesn’t work for me for some strange reason.
Has anybody else ever experienced this, with this fragrance or any others? Or would anybody have any possible explanation as to why this might cause such painful stomach aches for me? I would love more than anything to finally buy a bottle for myself so that I don’t have to continue surviving off of sample vials from Sephora, but there isn’t much of a point of buying a fragrance you can’t wear.

Beautiful fragrance, just got my sample today.
Thankfully its nothing like miss dior cherie, which is too sweet for me.
This is like the mature, sexy, big sister.
theres just enough sweetness, powder, citrus and spiciness and it blends so nicely
A very classy scent, i will probably be ordering a full bottle.

I was lucky enough to get a 2012 version of miss dior la perfume. Im pretty sure it’s the preformulated version. This blossoms so beautifully on my skin! This is the first chypre in my collection and i love love love it! At first spray i smell oranges and lots of patcholi. As it dries down i swear i smell oakmoss though it’s not listed in the notes, and it reminds me of agent Provocateur’s Petale Noir. I had my husband smell it just to see what he thinks and he said it smells like oranges, buttered popcorn and tabacco. Lol. This is a very rich and thick perfume. As it continues to wear the ambery notes and roses peak out still retaining the oakmoss notes. The sillage is perfect and after a couple hours it becomes closer to the skin. Longevity is pretty good lasting between 6 to 8 hours on my skin and that’s good to me seeing that i have perfume eating skin. Wonderful scent. I haven’t smelled the new version but the 2012 is amazing.

I tried this on a tester card as I thought it was going to be like Miss Cherie which is sweet, sickly and boring but how wrong was I, it is a rich vanilla with a bit of a masculine vibe going on. Would I buy it yes if money was no object.

This was reformulated and repackaged in late 2015. The bottle looks very different with a thick, chunky top and the bow is much smaller and less
