I love that banana top note which lasts quite some time (and has been eliminated recently according to the producers’ webpage). It makes this my happy fragrance for a good mood and not being taken too seriously.
The drydown is the exact scent of vanilla crescent cookies!
When I wear this, people around me are often disappointed when finding out that I don’t carry a “super delicious cake” with me, but it’s only perfume.
As I personally prefer banana over vanilla crescent cookies, I would probably rebuy the (relaunched?) Vanille Banane instead of the reformulated Vanille Coco.

on first spritz, this smells like a sunny beach vacation, but within 10 minutes, it turns to straight plastic on my skin. Very disappointing.

Mmmmm… beachy and delicous! Love it!

This doesn’t exactly give me the tropical, beachy vibe I was expecting. The coconut is oddly spicy to my nose? Perhaps it isn’t the coconut giving that off, but something tickles my nose and nearly causes me to sneeze. After my nasal passages adjust to the shock (lol), it’s a pretty linear concoction. Sweet vanilla and coconut. Not fresh like suntan lotion, but more of a vanilla/coconut cupcake like some have mentioned.

Creamy sweet coconut vanilla, simplicity at its finest.
For the record, this is the 3rd fragrance purchase after my wedding.
    Tropically sweet and exotic.
But I think that Lavanila Vanilla Coconut is superior to this.
If you like this, you should try:

Just got this today, When i first sprayed it I did not like it at all and was going to return it, good thing I waited, because once it settled it smelt so f*@cking good I cant even its amazing

Yummy vanilla scent, but the coconut here could almost be cocoa. Maybe the Coco Extreme smells more coconutty? Out of all the CSP I’ve tried, this is my favorite. Might repurchase someday if the price is right.

I am a fan of gourmand/sugary/candy/sweet/fruity/almost childish scents so I blind bought this one cause first, it was at a ridiculous price and second, I was sure I’d love it. Well, I don’t love it. I like it. It is EXTREMELY sweet, almost too much, and the only thing I smell is a VERY INTENSE vanilla note. I maybe smell a hint of coconut and maybe maybe a very little hint of banana, but this stuff is vanilla all the way… It does smell like vanilla bathroom freshner. To be honest, I had freshners that were more sophisticated, subtle and delicate. This is probably the worse scent of the vanille-whatever line of Comptoir sud-pacifique. As I said, it is ok, but I am glad I didn’t pay a lot for this stuff.

Wow!! A tropical vacation in a bottle… exactly what I need on a crappy, snowy winter day. I was a little worried about the banana note, but it’s subdued and natural smelling. I LOVE how edible and creamy this is; my boyfriend said I smell like a tropical cake.

I tried this on in the mall and after I left the store I kept smelling my wrist, so I had to go back and buy it.
This is the type of vanilla I love. I actually had no idea the “coco” in this was coconut, I assumed it was cocoa. The reason is the smells a lot like hot chocolate to me, a friend told me they thought it smelled like butterscotch. Imo it’s a very gourmand scent, it reminds of a warm kitchen with cookies in the oven. Not at all tropical or coconut-y (the body shop’s vanilla smells like coconut to me, so if that’s what you were looking for from this scent maybe try that) and certainly no hint of banana.
Maybe if I tried this on a July afternoon instead of a December evening my interpretation of it would be different. Either way, I would not recommend blind buying this since everyone seems to pick up a different fragrance note!
I bought the roller ball of this and I find that just putting a bit on is enough to last a couple hours, and scents usually don’t last that long on me.

I really wanted to love this perfume, but for the life of me I cannot understand how this gets away with being considered ‘niche.’ It smells like a particular, older scent at Bath and Body Works, something ‘birthday cake’ scented I think. I personally love sweet scents, I love anything that smells like cupcakes or vanilla…but this is awful. It’s a flat, one dimensional scent, and yet it hits you with such an incredibly strong, cheap overly sweet odour. Yes, cheap…it smells like some cupcake scented thing from the dollar store. And also…what coconut?? It was pretty nauseating, although the dry down is not bad (about 45 minutes later) because it just becomes a subtle sweet scent. Not worth purchasing, you might as well save your coin and go to Bath and Body Works and buy the same thing (although, at Bath and Body Works their cupcake/vanilla scented stuff smells better than this)

This smells like a true vanilla cupcake.I get whiffs of both sugary vanilla frosting and baked yellow cake. When I first spray it, there really is a bit of banana in there for literally one second, and then if I sniff up close, it smells like Victoria’s Secret Coconut Passion. Coconut Passion is a synthetic mess on my skin, and yes, if I bring my nose up to my wrist, this smells synthetic too (if most coconut scents smell synthetic to you, this one will too). But the synthetic part (the small amount of coconut that is present) does go away in about 45 minutes. After the 45 minutes, I get lots of whiffs of toasty vanilla goodness. It really smells like cake. I’ve had men smell it though, and they say it smells like cotton candy. It is a well-liked scent. I’ve been wearing it in heat and it seems to be doing fine. I’m one to get nauseated after smelling a sweet perfume for a long period of time, but this one somehow doesn’t bother me (maybe because it is not buttery).
I’m a bit disappointed that it doesn’t smell more like sugary coconut flakes or coconut hair products, but I love the scent…it has become one of my favorites to wear on a daily basis, and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a cupcake scent. I think it’s much more cupcake-y than Britney Spears’ Fantasy.
Edit: It’s very long lasting. I smell it at the end of the day.

way too sweet – the vanilla & whipped cream overpowers the coconut as some have mentioned. This is not tropical to me. This would be good for those seeking a wintery coconut (with hardly any coconut haha)

Best tropical scent that says “Islands” out there! The heliotrope and whipped cream makes it special than every other tropical summer scent.

    Yummy. Just freaking yummy

To me it smells just like banoffee cream… the coconut milk is extremely faint and doesn’t last. There is also a warm, soft vanilla that’s kind of caramelly. Mostly its just heliotrope, banana and cream… I am rather disappointed by that as I wanted it to smell only coconut and vanilla and it is called vanille coco, so, not to much to expect … :<
Also it doesn’t last long on skin and is quite soft sillage on skin and clothes

Yum! Vanille Coco is perfect for when I’m craving some sweet vanilla. I purchased my bottle from Sephora in 2014 and this stuff is divine. A cold buttercream opening with a long lasting delicious vanilla heart drying down to sweet candy floss. The coconut adds a nice subtle touch. I love being surrounded in this smell all day and my 30ml bottle is quickly dwindling which says alot because I have a good sized collection of perfumes. Of course when this bottles gone I’ll be getting the 100ml. This is a great vanilla for warm and cold weather and suitable for any occasion. Can’t say enough about how good this stuff smells. Thanks to Caken’cuddles for mentioning Vanille Coco on the boards. I tried it because of your recommendation and wow, this stuff is the bomb!

Bought unsniffed and its a tiny bit disappointing.. It is quite strong vanilla and it almost suffocates the coconut. and I cant smell heliotrope or banana sadly. But its only been a couple of days and I may change my mind.. Im sure it will be fine layered with something else.

Straight up Banana Boat suntan oil! I’m surprised more reviewers don’t mention it. That’s exactly what it smells like to me, just a bit more sugary. Reminds me of my aunts laying out in the sun trying to get a tan and frying themselves in suntan oil back in the late 80’s early 90’s. It was a blind buy that I’m disappointed with bc it’s not an “elegant” coconut beach scent like Bronze Goddess, it’s pure sugary suntan oil smell. Pass for me.

Scrubber, huge headache. Very sweet and unfortunately on me, stinky. Plastic-y, definitely tropical. Too bad because I love coconut & vanilla otherwise.
Glad that this works for others 🙂 Will have to try again, maybe different next time 🙂

Bought the newest 2014 offering from Sephora (along with vanille extreme). I’m not sure how it compares to the original, smelled it eons ago, far too long to remember.
On me, this opens as a freshly cut coconut dusty husk and and all. As it warms up it takes on a cocoa buttery tone (refined, not raw). Then the waxy scent of raw crushed almonds. The vanilla is there, but it’s definitely an accent, not a forerunner. It’s a real, vanilla scent too, not sweet, its presence just melds with the coconut.
This is a confusing scent for me for the following reason: Up close, nose to wrist, it smells off putting, like bitter, coconut husk. I admit, I’m not a coconut person, so this scent really isn’t pleasant to me at all.
BUT if I move my nose away from wrist 3+ inches the whiffs and scent trails this fragrance leaves are amazing. So warm and comfortable; freshly cut coconut, almond, cocoa butter, and vanilla. It’s really creamy and buttery as well, with a mellow sweetness. It’s warm and earthy, in a raw nut kind of way (if you eat and cook with raw nuts you’ll know what I’m talking about). The more it warms, the more creamy and buttery it gets, so this is fantastic in hot weather. I will say it is VERY easy to overdo it. Spray too much and it becomes very sweet, cloying, gag-worthy. Less is best!
Also, I can’t say this has strong projection, BUT if I wave my wrist around I can smell it, as though it leaves a trail through the air. I’m not sure how to accurately explain it, because no other fragrance I’ve used has done this.

I don’t get so much banana from this, it’s there but to me coconut is dominant throughout, with vanilla next. First on, I get coconut rum, followed by the smell of coconut scented spray-on suntan lotion I used to wear as a kid, years ago. After this, it’s tanning oil, or a strong cocoa butter lotion. Not Coppertone, much more Hawaiian Tropic. It has something both bitter and plastic smelling at the base unfortunately that I find unpleasant, a bummer because the other notes are nice. Not super candy sweet, as some vanillas can be, more of an ice cream, I do get a sweet cream note in there. When my daughter smelled it walking past, she thought I had brewed some coffee, and my husband thought I had been baking, so it’s got some sillage, and it lasted a few hours, on me that was moderate to good. To me, screams “tropical vacation” but in this frag, it’s trying too hard. There are sooo many similar frags/blends on the market, and although I like it, this one is not my favorite, it ranks somewhere in the middle. If you like this kind of frag, you will probably like this and be satisfied with a blind buy, but I would still test first for comparison’s sake.

I envy those of you who have this lasting ages on your skin. Cause the scent iitself s delicous. I usually don’t have a problem with lasting power on my skin but with Vanille Coco sadly I find it literally disappears within an hour. I enjoyed the top notes tremendously and think the banana is to die for in this combo. It just might be the perfect fragrance if it was lot stronger, projected more, stayed on the skin for more than one-two hours and would hang on to that gorgeous banana note for longer than a minute.
I swapped mine away, but who’s to say when the craving for it kicks in again. I might just repurchase one of these days but all things considered I honestly don’t think it’s worth the price tag. I should just get a vanilla coconut body mist for a fraction of the price and I probably wouldn’t notice much of a difference. One thing I learend though, I love banana in perfume! Now am on the hunt for a stronger longer lasting banana note…if it’s out there somewhere 🙂

My review of the original version in the above picture can be found below, but could someone with the new version of this one (with the blue sticker label on the bottle) please tell me whether it has been watered down like the new Vanille Abricot? Thanks!
Update: This one is safe to buy in its newest incarnation. I had the old one, and I just bought the new one and they are identical. Wish I could say the same for Vanille Abricot, but Vanille Coco was always my favorite of the two anyway. Yay!

A soft, sweet, gorgeous scent which would work for summer, winter, day or night in my opinion, although I do understand the references to it being a tropical fragrance. Upon first spray I get a blast of banana, then the vanilla and coconut come into play, all together they settle beautifully onto my skin creating a sweet creamy dessert.
As a lover of sweet scents, this works perfectly for me. It isn’t cloying or overpowering, neither do I get any artificial, chemical smells from it.
This fragrance has made my top five, and I just received it in a swap today! I can’t stop smelling my wrists!

I am dying for an awesome banana perfume. It is not a popular idea or smell in perfumery, but ever since we made the smell ourselves in chemistry class I’ve been hankering for a banana-bomb.
This is nearly it, the opening is full of banana candies and I love it but within 10 minutes it is just super sweet vanilla. It is still nice but not as bananaish as I want. I want a small bottle of this nevertheless.

  31. :

    5 out of 5

First when you spray it you get a a really intense vanilla-tropical fruit mix. It only takes seconds to settle down and reveal a sweet, warm scent of coconut, banana, vanilla and whipped cream all nicely blended together. I m not sure about the heliotrope but I think its there to enrich the vanilla note and gives a slightly powdery effect (only a little). It stays close to the skin and the thing I love is that it does not smell synthetic at all to me and that its not a one-dimensional Coconut scent. When you smell it on your wrist its very foody and very comforting. It surrounds you like an embracing, sweet and gentle veil.
Now, I have to mention how people around me perceive it! There is something alluring in this fragrance, a characteristic you cannot predict when you smell it on yourself. Every time I wear it I get many compliments and I have people coming close and taking sniffs leaving comments like “Whats this, Vanilla, Coconut?”, the funny thing being that they re not sure what it is because its not the usual vanilla coconut smelling scent, it leaves a milky sweet, irresistible aura…
SILLAGE as I mentioned is not a monster but it leaves a very pleasant aura
LONGEVITY good, I usually reapply during the day to invigorate the notes but that does not bother me at all.
That being said I have to add that I m a gourmand lover (at least at this period of my life) and I think its a must try for people who like milky sweets not to exclude others as well who maybe want to try something different from their usual likes!
Vanille coco one of my current favorites!

Enormous femininity speading out of this fragrance. If you really want to seduce a man and drag him to bed, wear this fragrance while you set close to him, he will stick to you all night! very good value of money.

This is crazy sweet. Sugar, sugar, sugar. Other than that, it’s mostly vanilla. In the beginning there’s a bit of banana cream pie and later some coconut. But I smell more cotton candy than vanilla cream pie.
Nice for those who like very sweet vanilla fragrances.

  34. :

Smells lika Victoria Secret Coconut Passion.
    Vanilla and coconuts.
    More vanilla than coconuts.
But this is waaay more expensive than VS, and almost impossible to find.
Nice, but nothing to write home about.
I was hoping for banana and heliotrope, but there was none.
No sillage or longevity at all. After 5 minutes you don`t even know where you sprayed.
This is totally over hyped and over priced.

While trying Vanille Coco, I was curious about the banana note as I wasn’t able to find Vanille Banane. The first hour of Vanille Coco did smell like banane flambé, to my satisfactory. Later, the banana steps back to leave its place to the coconut. However, strangely the coconut doesn’t grab this opportunity. It just lingers here and there, leaving the vanilla overshadows the whole scent, which is not necessarily unpleasant. But I also detect a salty note, which makes the drydown reminiscent of a sort of vanilla flavoured sunflower seed. Not bad, but not what I prefer the most.
The sillage is heavy and the longevity is at least 10 hours, and it’s still going strong. I think it’s a feisty sweet fragrance for fun occasions and for those who have a sweet tooth.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

Hands down this is my favorite coconut fragrance. If you are looking for a creamy sweet coconut look no further :).
The banana cream opening is soft and unusual. It lasts no longer than a few minutes before you reach an explosive heart of creamy coconut vanilla that fades away only to a base of more creamy coconut vanilla :P. I guess the banana does hang around a little but I wouldn’t dare to call it a banana fragrance. I would say it is 50% vanilla, 40% coconut, and 10% banana cream.
The sweetness is gourmand level for sure.
Coco vanille lasts a good old 6-8 hours…while others around you are bound to be thinking yummy, yummy. This fragrance is adorable and snuggly, it gets me in the mood to be nice to people. Maybe this should be part of my pms emergency kit? Biggest warning I can put out there is don’t wear if you’re trying to avoid eating coconut cream pie!

  37. :

Against the vanilla and coco extremes, this seems to be the most “fruit-like/cotton candy” of those, still creamy and inviting 🙂 i feel as though i should try more CSP vanilles, adjoined with fruit (such as vanille abricot/vanille banane) to have a proper measure?
overall, i feel this one is the “fruity love child” of CSP vanille and coco extreme.
p.s. call me crazy, but does anyone else get a sterile, “inside of a DQ store” smell with this (clean, cool, vanilla goodies)? i love that….

  38. :

    5 out of 5

Definitely agree it’s banana cream pie all the way! You’ve got to give this one a couple of minutes to settle, it has a nasty synthetic blast initially but then it’s creamy delicious yumminess after that!

  39. :

I have been aching to try his range for ages, seeing it was on offer 100ml for £ 21 at m&s I couldn’t resist, I smelt every fragrance and was disappointed by most especially the “cult” vanille apricot, which I found pretty boring, I sprayed a hefty ton of vanille cocoa on not thinking too much of it and went home, however this subtle delicious smell of ” warm milky chocolate ” kept catching my nose , only very soft, but enough to make me get back in the car and drive back to buy it, I love vanilla but hate that ” play dough” smell….this is gorgeously discreet , not as candy ish as pink sugar but just sweet enough to entice me, I love ” creme bouquet” by stila but find it can bring on a headache if I over heat, this is a much much softer alternative, I love it & I’m quite fussy!!! Give it a go if your a ” gourmet” perfume lover!!

  40. :

I love gourmands and this one is right up my alley. a strong coconutty vanilla scent at first blast then it dries down to an almost skin scent of chocolate coco powder. this is loud at first then soft at finish, lasting about 3 hours on my skin.

I sprayed this once on my arm at work and it sent three women on the other side of my cubicle into a frenzy! None of them could figure out what that DELICIOUS smell was and one woman almost sprayed cleaning fluid on herself thinking it was the source of the scent. The other women stopped her just in time. They kept saying, “It’s like, cocoa butter, vanilla beans, cookie dough! God, where is it coming from?! Don’t you smell that? Is it you?”
Vanille Coco is a store-made banana”flavored” cream pie with both natural and artificial ingredients. The dry down is a big dollop of vanilla whipped topping with lingering traces of banana filling. It’s not too rich for Summer, though it’s also a comfort in that icy meat locker otherwise known as my office.
Lasts all day on clothes, half a day on hot skin.
    projection is moderate.
I have not tried the official banana/vanilla fragrance from Comptoir Sud Pacifique, but this is the creamy cheap summer pie of dreams. I refer to it as “the banana pie smell” when talking to my boyfriend about it, and he always knows I mean Vanille Coco.

  42. :

To me, this smells only and exactly like the dulce de leche from a banoffee pie. I thought that and then looked at the notes above. I don’t get bananas explicitly, just the dulce de leche. Not unpleasant but I don’t really want to smell like banoffee pie!

  43. :

    4 out of 5

I actually get a lot of banana in Vanille Coco. At the beginning because of the whipped cream/banana/heliotrope/vanilla combo it smells like milky banana candy.
It takes a while for the coconut to really come out. The banana candy stage lasts at least 2 hrs.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

Vanille Coco absolutely shines! This vanilla is the vanilla of your dreams. It’s just marvelous with the coconut notes. My little boy actually said he wanted to eat me up. (I think in seven year old speak that is high praise.)
Oh, and I don’t think I could detect the banana, but I’m sure that’s because it’s so well blended. I’m sure it’s in there somewhere and possibly enhances the other notes? Hugely love this one and can’t wait for summer to wear it. Actually, I think you could wear it whenever you want to smell yummy. Why not?
    * This is what I wanted the Vanille Extreme to smell like, but it failed miserably on my skin. Unfortunately it radiated a synthetic, play-doh vanilla on me…but I’ll save that for another review.

  45. :

This is ridiculously delicious! This is not just vanilla and coconut folks. At first I definitely get a good dose of sweet ripe banana. Then the waxy sweet coconut begins mixing in with the banana and produces a really nice tropical vibe. Then the cherrylike powdery heliotrope makes it’s way in along with the vanilla and thick whipped cream and it turns into a dessertlike treat! Even though I get a hearty dose of vanilla and cream – I can tell this is a tropical confection. I definitely smell the coconut and banana here, and even though I do get a bit of the plasticky cherry chewable tylenol vibe, it doesn’t turn me away. I was looking for this type of fragrance in Coco Extreme, I found it here. Very sweet, very delightful, whipped cream, cherry powdered, cocobanana treat. A fun offbeat tropical gourmand.
    Sorry about the double post!

I just received it today. It is not what I expected. In my opinion it is too heavy on the vanilla side, no much coconut there… Also, as some other people have already mentioned, it has an artificial smell. Overall, I am not happy about my purchase.

I love vanilla and I love coconuts. This is perfection in the bottle. Coconut and vanilla bliss that I find totally addictive.
The scent is not complex but it does not need to be. It smells gorgeous and on my skin it lasts forever. 12 hours on me without reapplying. (9.5/10)

  50. :

Vanille Coco always says “hello” to me with its simple sweetness. Topnotes smell like caramel to my nose. And there is enough of powdery-powdery heliotrope. Vanille and coconut sing a song in lovely duet. Summer, ice-cream, seashore, palmtrees…
But luck of sillage makes it fragrance lil bit cheapy. And the feeling of coconut milk makes it watery.
Vanille Coco strikes only 5 of 10 in my opinion.

wonderful coconut-vanilla scent! summer on the beach:)
you can wear this anywhere, really; past 1 hour it will be a miracle if anyone notices you sprayed this on. no lasting power:/ not worth the price. i like the scent and would pay $20 max for this body spray-like so called edt. this is no edt, body spray or body mist yes.

“Vanille-Coco, “Vanille-Coco”, you are such a disappointment for me !!
Where are your vanilla notes ?! And your coconut ones ?!
I can only smell some kind of, well, I don’t know, “greasy coconut milk” but neither real coconut neither vanilla.
I was expecting you to be my vanilla-coco nilla wafer, I was expecting your sugary-sweet vanilla note and your sweet coconut one, but it seems like they have gone in an other place, not in you.
My coco-car refreshner (btw, let’s stop hypocrisy about car refreshners : mine smell really good (why would I want to put them in my car if that was not the case ?! 😀 😀 ) and I would be pleased to find a fragrance that smell like them. “Car refreshner” DOESN’T mean “bad fragrance” !! Basta !! ) ) smells much better than you do, “Vanille-Coco”.
I can’t detect coconut and I can’t even sniff the most little whiff of vanilla (niente, nada, rien du tout !! ).
No sweetness, no coconut, no vanilla : sorry “Vanille-Coco”, but I don’t like you at all !!
I’m even wondering why I would still call you “Vanille-Coco” as I can’t smell neither vanilla neither coconut in you….
I’m gonna call you my “coconut wafer” disappointment : that matches better my feelings.
Still, I’m angry with you :why do you give the others that dreamy sugary-sweet vanilla-coconut note while all you offer me is a kind of weird “greasy” no-coconut and no-vanilla one ?!
Naughty rascal that you are !! 😀
    P.s. :
It’s not my skin : it smells that way even on my clothes !!
P.s. 2 : Under NO circumstances is this similar to the boldly luscious “Bois Vanille” from Serge Lutens !!!! Wow !!!! 😀

Opened up with a sharp blast of vodka (heliotrope) ? From then on it was vanilla scented coconut the whole way. I do seem to get banana but also a scant White chocolate although it’s not in the notes! This is like an island far away, dreamy, peaceful, warm and relaxed. And that is how it stays just becoming softer over time. Silage is good and this is certainly long lasting!
This is just soooo yummie for me – devine gourmand in action! For me summer and winter to cheer up those long dark days in my northern hemisphere!
It doesn’t come near to that nameless tanning lotion thankfully….. That was my one fear when I viewed the notes. I do love this one, definitely a keeper for me!
This is very much a linea style of perfume – don’t go looking for any complex notes as they are not there – just revel in the creaminess of the vanilla coconut fusion!

It’s a very simple scent , extremly sweet , but that was predictable . Good for a casual wear .
Because of it’s oversweetness , on hot humid weather it would be disgusting , I’d rather wear it in winter, to cheer up and remind summer holidays and warm places.

While I do really like this scent, and it’s perfect for the beach, I’m completely underwhelmed by the staying power, high price, and packaging presentation. Bath & Body Works used to use the same little aluminum bottle, CSP just put a little sticker on it and charges $53 (for the small one)!

This smelled exactly like coco pebbles (yabba dabba doo!)–sweet, vanilla, and chocolate. You could get a cavity smelling this perfume. Maybe I just need a lighter dose, or should pour the contents into a rollerball, but it’s just way too sweet for me and I can’t imagine any situation where I would want to wear this. Maybe this will be better during the winter when I usually crave comfort scents, but during the summer? No way.

    I just love this!
Now- the top must be banana cream and heliotrope. Don’t know heliotrope, but I smell of banana cream a very long time. Not faint. Half of day you get bananas with paper-like vanilla (why paper? dunno, vanilla has pretty structure- kinda dry? velvety, unusual must be because mixed with cocos).
Next scent develops into very sugary vanilla with hint of cocos and still banana cream. Reminds of Pink Sugar very much. It’s just perfect for fall/winter I’ll say. Stays long.
PS. !!! Look at the notes! ? Has it been reformulated?

I have been wearing this all day, (great lasting power!) and I have to say that I really like it. Not love….but a strong like. I don’t get any of the banana or the heliotrope, just creamy coconut and vanilla. The only comment I got today about the scent was when a co-worker/friend said that I smelled a little like a flavored cigar, LOL! Not a bad thing in my book, but not quite the scent I was going for. I think I will stick with Vanille Amande.

Well I am going in a different direction with the Vanille Coco. Im impressed with how it smells on!! I was afraid it would have that cheap coconut air freshner smell like alot of coconut scents. But to my surprise it was delicious and gourmand. It is a rich coconut milk with a creamy vanilla icing running through it. Its very smooth. Banana is something I dont like the in scents but it only comes out as a accent. A sweet sparkle almost. And the floral aspect of it had me racing to find out which one it was. If heliotrope is it, I like heliotrope. As they represent the notes on one level is how they represent in the scent itself. I think that is why it smells so smooth. Not like coconut tanning oil.

On my skin this fragrance smells like coconut shower cream – soapy, sweet. I would say it’s a linear fragrance, that does not change much from the top notes to the very base.

I’m usually a big fan of most of CSP’s Vanille line, but on my skin Vanille Coco is a big no-no. It must be my chemistry. At first I can clearly smell a faint coconut, then it immediately turns into a very fake, artificial chemical smell. It stays that way for hours on my skin, never changing from start to finish. I also pick-up on what seems is a plastic smell.
For reference my favorite CSP’s are Vanille Peache and Vanille Citrus.
