Description
In order to present this extraordinary “marriage” of ingredients Affinessence combines two types of vanilla (Tahiti vanilla absolute with intense scent of leather and sweet aromas of Madagascar vanilla absolute). This blend is combined with the so-called alter-ego, Siamese benzoin, fragrant resin originating from Laos and is highly respected for its balmy, almond-like shades. For the strong, irresistible trail scents of ambroxan, tonka, Moroccan and Chinese cedar were use, placing benzoin and vanilla in the first plan, providing amazing strength. Fragrance Vanille Benjoin was developed by perfumer Corine Cachen. Vanille Benjoin was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is Corinne Cachen.

Start warm with timid vanilla accompanied by a benzoin that has hazelnut and mocha nuances. I’m not a fan of the benzoin but here is the only note that intrigues me.
While the tonka provides a solid aid for a vanilla too evanescent, the other notes that revolve around create a forced aurea, a bit dated with a sort of clean similar to a laundry softener. This reminded me of some fragrances of Juliette has a gun.
I think it’s the ambroxan’s fault.
For my nose, a solid and convinced step.
…and my wallet is celebrating!

Beautiful vanilla, so intimate and soft . It would be the 2nd favourite of mine in this range after Cuir Curcuma – the best amber leather ever!!

A Delicate elegant vanilla with soft amber, tonka beans, & benzoin. It reminds me of Serge Lutens creations.
I wish it lasts long, i’ll just wait and see.
BUT it’s around 300 Euro!! honestly, that’s an extreme ridiculous price. If it were up to 150 Euro i would have definitely bought it.
