The first few minutes to an hour, this is a really generic fruity but not too fruity scent. I unfortunately didn’t really detect any watermelon in it. It isn’t bad, and I could see a preteen wearing this but like I said, there’s nothing about it that stands out.
After about an hour or two, it dries down into an equally generic aquatic. The dry down kinda reminds me of Adidas Moves, except I think I like this better. I’m not a big fan of aquatics anyway, so this scent isn’t for me.
The sillage and lasting power isn’t there, you’ll only get a few hours of this sitting really close to your skin but it’s better than Love from the same collection.

I think that people are getting this Fragrance confused with the other “G”. Anyway,, if anyone remembers tranquil breezes from Victoria Secret… this is a dupe…. too aquatic for my taste,

I am new here and not hip on the lingo but I love this scent! My first selection from ScentBox and I am very pleased! I love clean, fresh, fruity, floral scents….to me this falls into the fruity fresh category…..not over powering but I can smell it and love it 🙂

Wow, I did NOT expect to like this perfume so much! I accepted it in a swap mainly because I didn’t care at all about the perfume my swap partner requested, figuring at worst it could be a cute decoration on my perfume shelf… but it really is a fun scent, like a musky fruit-flavored gum. Not my usual style, but not at ALL bad. Soft projection and not long-lasting, of course, but a perfect little pick-me-up or gift for a kid.

Perfect perfume for my 10 year-old daughter. She is absolutely delighted with the bottle. The scent is simple, fruity, and smells exactly like watermelon to us both.

Got this as a Christmas gift from a friend.
This is not at all what I thought it would be.
It was, according to him : Dirt cheap.
It smells very very cheap. Not unwearable, but nothing complex. Nothing about this is like ”Oh, here’s Gwen’s approach on a cutesy Japanese perfume.”
    It smells like apple shampoo.
It just does. It’s a very very heavy handed apple note, but just the skins of a granny smith apple. I think the sweetness in this is the watermelon trying to come through.
The sillage and longevity are both medium. You might get a compliment but it’s not going to be ”WHAT ARE YOU WEARING!” but ”Aww, you smell like apples.”

Harajuku lovers-Wicked style G,I got my first bottle to collect last night at a ross for $9.99&I think it’s so cute I love the doll bottled perfume idea,so cute! I’ve always always have been a fan of Gwen stafani, since I was a teen-No Doubt days, lol&still love her,now this scent I think is only meant to be worn to lounce in,it only last about an hour,I only usually love scents that last…edp s verses edt on perfume strength, but I made an exception for these gorgeous dolls! Anyway the scent is very pineapple, peach&other fruits&has a fresh soapy smell very light&nice,I do wish it lasted longer though, thank you gwen stafani, my kids are fighting over this, its great ~Loving this:-) I give bottle/Doll out of a 1-10 a 10&scent a 2

For whatever reason this smells so similar to Daisy by Marc Jacobs on my skin. The freshness is all there, but just not as much of a “banana” smell as Daisy.

A blind buy…I bumped into a bottle for 10$ so I said why not give it a try. So far I like it!
On opening notes I get the peach, but watermelon mostly and I do smell the tuberose. A little bit of the apple.
Next to me it’s watermelon all the way and the watery notes (a note that I usualy love) and still, I get a little bit of the tuberose!
It doesn’t last long though…2 hours at most…but at that price, I will not complain 🙂
Not the most high quality nor sophisticated, but a fun smell for summer, definitely!

A loooooooooong time ago, BBW had a “daffodil” perfume. It smelled soooo good and this scent smelled exactly like it. It gave me a headache though, and didn’t last for more than 20 minutes on me, so reapplying was a nightmare. Luckily I found a better version of something similar.

The only perfume I ever owned and returned as soon as I could. Extremely aquatic mixed with super synthetic fruits, made me feel sick. Disappointed, although I really like the original ‘G’ in the Harajuku Lovers collection.

This is a really sweet fun summer fragrance. Only last about 2-3 hours. I usually try to by the larger tester bottles, I feel like I get my money’s worth.

I bought this last year at Marshalls, realized it wasn’t a coconut G, and promptly returned it. I regretted that decision a year later and bought it again. This is like eating a watermelon popscile by the community pool. A true summer scent that is not the beach.

Found this in Ross for $6. Googled it really quick, and it sounded like Britney Spears Island Fantasy (which I quite like) so I went ahead and bought it.
I’m glad to say, I’m not disappointed.
It definitely evokes Island Fantasy for me, in that they both have a very watery, fruity, tropical vibe, and both are heavy on the watermelon at first spritz.
But G sets itself apart with the pleasantly tart note from the apple, which helps cut the sweetness of the fruit, and makes the scent more refreshing and mature. After the initial dry down, the peony comes to the forefront and that’s mainly what I get for the rest of the time I can smell it. Peony with a little bit of tropical fruit. It’s a nice fragrance for daytime, especially in the summer.
Only thing is that lasting power is pretty poor, and the sillage is very soft. Despite its size, I can’t carry the adorable bottle in my purse (too scared that G’s ponytails will snap off) but I just keep a little in an atomizer and I’m good to go.
It is a little bit of a hassle, but all things considered, not bad at all for a $6 blind buy!

Fruity, fresh, and sweet, a happy summertime fragrance that I think would work on a broader age range than the cute little doll bottle would initially imply. I’m in my 40’s and find it fun and youthful but not strictly juvenile. It was an $8 buy at Ross, based on the fragrance profile and previous reviews here. Given the size of the actual bottle, I think that’s as fair of a price as I would be willing to pay.
For me, the fragrance starts out on dual dominant notes of melon and something tart and tangy. Then as it begins to settle in, the other fruity notes, as well as a hint of the aquatic and ozonic notes start to come through. I have a hard time picking out specific fruit notes, it just smells sweet, tropical, and fruity. Dry down really brings out the aquatic and ozonic notes along with a a hint of a soft floral. This is where it ends on my skin. Soft, sweet, and feminine that evokes something beachy and tropical.
All in all, I think it was $8 well spent and will definitely re-purchase since I doubt this bottle will last me until cool weather comes.

This perfume is very true to the listed notes.
I think it smells like a fresh fruit salad with lots and lots of watermelon. The aquatic note can be explained by the actual water content of the watermelon itself, as it does not smell watered down in any way.
There is a slight sourness which must be either the green apple or pineapple, but also sweetness from the raspberries and freshness from peach.
The tuberose peony joins in with the musky note and that gives the perfume body and a bit of depth.
you can literally pick out every single note in this- and I have rarely found perfumes where you can do that.
This is quite light, and doesn’t last very long, but it is very nice and fresh whilst it is there. worth it if you get a cheap price on it like I did (£5)
also the bottle is cute, I like Gs hair in this version.

Got it as a blind buy from tj maxx , the packaging always looked so unusual, i wasn’t quite sure what to expect (didnt realize it was Gwen Stefanis’ fragrance). Its a nice, very light, fruity, day scent . Not overly candied or too teeny– i think adult women can get away with wearing this scent. I’m getting a marc jacobs vibe here, like daisy or something, anyone else think so?

  19. :

I like this one in fact. I hear so many bad things about it, but I think it’s fruity and fresh in the same time. I cant say it last too much, but I think it’s unique and can reveal juicy, pleasant notes. I would give it a try for the rest as well!

  20. :

I hate how expensive these are yet with tiny amount of perfume that smells good but so light that I’m afraid the scent won’t last.

  21. :

This is a very mild scent. It is very weak and doesn’t last long either. I can’t call it ‘bad’, but I don’t really like it either. It disappears so quickly after applying. I can’t justify repurchasing. I can only smell the watermelon, which is still very faint. You can get spray deodorants which last longer.

I like it but it fades too quickly. It’s not a total loss since the bottles are adorable enough to justify what I paid. I seriously love the Harajuku perfumes mainly for the cute factor, lol.

This one is ok. The pineapple and apple stand out to me, then the watermelon. This one reminds me of DKNY Be Delicious-Red Delicious. Doesn’t last long on me, though.

*sigh* I too found this at Marshalls and I got pretty excited to find a “G” because I have been on a very fruitless quest to find a coconut scent for summer. I remembered that the “G”‘s of this line usually have coconut so I snagged her up like a fiend and thought to myself “Watch, this will be the one that doesn’t have any coconut.” Got her out to my car and sprayed her on…. disappointment!
It opens with a watermelon aquatic scent, which is nice I guess if you weren’t hoping for coconut. It stays pretty fruity, apples and raspberry make an appearance and stays very aquatic, which is very much not my thing. As far as summer scents go, this is pool side in a bottle. Unfortunately, it’s not my thing so I think this little felt headed blonde will be going back to the store. Too bad, because I think if they added that coconut and sand to this, it would have been awesome!

  26. :

    4 out of 5

I found this for a steal at Marshall’s tonight… Tried it in on the way home and it surely opens with a watery fruit smell. Yes, watermelon & pineapple open that is a bit thin for me but I can understand how someone would be attracted.
Once it dried down, it turned into something very clean and soapy!! I mean Zest-fully clean! Now, it’s not a bad thing, just not really my style. It’s not a strong fragrance and its not especially long-lasting, but it’s quite safe, friendly and clean smelling..
I think this would be a very safe first fragrance for a young lady (girl) and, of course, for any age over that. (Sure, it’s a cutesy bottle, but no one knows what the bottle looks like when you’re out & about.)

  27. :

    4 out of 5

Well, not my thing. Too fruity and SOUR. I feel like the opening is too alcoholic, maybe is the watermelon or pineapple affect, I don’t know. It become sweeter and more pleasant when it dries down.
I would see only children and very young girls wearing this. 🙂
    Definitely prefer the original G.

The first thing that hits you when you spray this fragrance on is the Watermelon and The water! This fragrance is a watery and watermelon fragrance. I Like it and it’s perfect for hot seasons like summer or a day when it’s hot. I picture myself going to a beach or the pool when I smell this fragrance!

The bottle is cute but I was so disapointed with the scent. It was boring and unpleasant on my body’s chemistry.

Whenever I’m out shopping, when walking past the perfume counter, without fail, these Harajuku Girl bottles grab my attention almost immediately. Although I find them gaudy and childish, I occasionally go so far as to pick up the tester bottle and spritz the perfume onto my skin.
Drawn in by this doll’s brightly coloured yellow hair with a felt texture, Harajuku Lovers Wicked Style G is not half bad. I’m not usually a fan of pineapple, but in this fragrance it’s quite sweet and summery.
This fragrance opens with a candied and somewhat syrupy blend of pineapple, peach and green apple. Despite the sweet approach, it’s also quite crisp and clean, almost like the scent of a fruity shampoo.
I’m not usually one to be impressed by scents of this nature, but I find Wicked Styles G rather commendable. It’s such a fun scent, something that really helps lift your mood.
The drydown is a touch watery on the skin, and that is to be expected seeming that the drydown is composed of water notes, watermelon, musk and a hint peony. Due to this fragrance’s freshness, I would recommend this scent for hot days in the sun as it has a cooling effect, plus a bright and sparkling array of fruit accords.
Surprisingly Wicked Styles G lasts the whole day on my skin. I’m pleased to say that I actually wore this scent out in public and never once felt out of place wearing it. I am yet to try the rest of the Wicked Styles series, but since testing G, I am now more game.

I have to agree with the previous comment. I really like the opening notes of the watermelon and aquatic notes but they fade quickly and it just becomes a sour musk.
I wish the watermelon was stronger and lingered more. The bottle is cute, all the Harajuku lovers ones are, however this isn’t my favorite scent in the collection. It smells kinda cheap unfortunately.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

I … Am not fond of Wicked Style G, sadly.
From the bottle and the initial start of the fragrance on my skin, G starts off pleasant enough. Most of what I can smell at first is the watermelon, which is sweet and juicy. If that’s how the fragrance stayed, I’d say that this would be a great and simple perfume to wear during the Summer (and it would actually be appropriate for little girls too, since it just smells like watermelon).
The drydown on my skin is when this fragrance starts to become a mess. I can’t really pick up on any of the fruity notes aside from the watermelon, but the florals and the base notes start to attack during the drydown. These notes don’t smell overly strong, but they definitely cheapen and (in my opinion) ruin it. The tuberose and musk create a stale and powdery scent. Like I said … It just smells cheap. I really don’t like it.
If this had just smelled like watermelon, I’d like it more. Granted, watermelon isn’t the most decadant thing to smell like, but at least it doesn’t smell bad. I find that 2/3 of the Harajuku Lovers have really nice notes that get overpowered by heavier notes and they just become a mess. That’s definitely the case with Wicked Style G.

  33. :

Smells like sweet watermelon but in a watered down sort of way. A very mild sweet fruity scent, very simple and subtle. Because of the aquatic note, this isn’t as sugary as some fruity scents can be.

I kind of think it ridicules that they are coming out with a wicked and cutie version any way they will kind of smell the same in a way like im OK with the original ones but uhh

  37. :

The doll is super cute! I like most of the G’s but this one I’m not crazy about. To me it smells too much like a Victoria Secret perfume. And I find VS perfume and body sprays boring. I wear this G with Lil Angel to make it pop! but never alone.

I’m in my high school band and every week we go to a basketball game. Before the games, I always spray this perfume on my neck and chest to make me feel like I just showered. It’s very fresh and smells like smampoo. Well, a very fancy shampoo. I get little whiffs of it here and then at the games. Great!

This for me is melon melon melon! My favourite fruit so not a complaint at all 🙂 it is now my current favourite of the HL perfumes. I wish it had more staying power though 🙁 bottle and box are gorgeous too! I got the 10ml.

I got a bottle of this today and it reminds me of Mariah Carey’s Lollipop Bling Honey perfume. It smells like pineapple and water but as it dries on me I can smell something smooth and balmy like banana milkshake. I know it sounds strange but that is what I get with this. The lollipop Bling stays aquatic on me but this one changes and settles nicely I am glad I got it. It seems to last because I can smell it wafting gently up to my nose as I walk around. I got it on special so I am probably going to pay full price for it next time I see it because I really like it I have been looking for another perfume which is similar to Lollipop Bling and this one does it for me.
I find I can mix all these little dolls together. If one is too aquatic then I spray one of the sunshine cuties with it because they all seem to have a little coconut in them and it helps to smooth the perfume out but that’s just me not sure what would happen to anyone else.

Super watermelony and other hints of fruits like apple. After it dries down a bit, I smell bits of pineapple and apple with the aquatic notes and little bit of floral. Like a watery fruity fragrance. Its ok but will return it for Baby, because its a bit boring and gives me a headache.

The Wicked Style collection is my favorite of the Harajuku Lovers line. The look is so edgy! It’s my favorite collection scent-wise, too. Juicy! However, this one happens to be the least memorable for me 🙁 juicy, yes… But linear, boring, generic… Yaaaawn. Just sweet and fruity, can’t really separate the fruits or florals. I’ve smelled this somewhere else.
I admit that all of these Harajuku Lovers scents are fruity and safe, not overly unique, but this one lacks the most personality for me. Especially from the Wicked Style collection. At least the doll is cute.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

When you first spray it, it’s a really nice fruity floral. It smells like someone mixed shampoo and very fancy floral perfume together, it doesn’t smell bad. It lasts about two hours, and then dies down to a shampoo smell (if you can still smell ANY of it). I don’t get any of the notes listed above. ANY of them.
    It alright. I like it.

  45. :

I was so dissapointed that this didn’t have the coconutty goodness of the other G perfumes 🙁 Way to much melon going on here and very watery at that. Avoid if you like the Hawaiien feel of the G’s or you will be disappointed too x

Its nice i love it!But when she put it on for like more than 3-4 hours and it starts to get light you know, it reminds me of fall or spring a light scent but like candy in my throat the sweetness.

Very liquidy, like swimming in a fruity bath. Tickles the nose with its playful use of watermelons and apples. My mother loves it preferred to the original and Sunshine G, which smell like suntan lotion to her. Also, I love how this is how a Harajuku girl would really dress, rather than the original and summer lines.

Anyways, this is like a summer scent and it smells so nice.

    8/10 for price
    10/10 for style!

Love the scent. Do not confuse this with the Harajuku Lovers G which has a definite coconut smell. The one thing I do not like about this perfume is its longevity. I know it is an EDT, but the fragrance does NOT last and must be reapplied frequently.
I would love to find a similar smelling perfume with better wear time.

Very fruity, mostly watermelon and a bit of pineapple. Fun and playful but not me. Way better than the original though (which smells like baking flour to me).

  54. :

A fun, energetic, fruity pick-me-up opening which lasts through the life of the fragrance. Drying down, soft floral undertones added to the fruits and a wet-watery base.
    Drinkable, delicious, and happy.
    Boys love it.
Add a tiny mist of the original G, and get a tropical cocktail.
    Love love love!

This one reminds me of the beach. I smell coconuts and pineapples. I love it! but only on hot summer days when I am in the garden or on the beach and want to smell like a pina colada!

I found it a bit synthetic smelling and detected mostly watermelon and water notes. It was sharp and unpleasant on my chemistry, which is not what I expected.

The leader of the pack has left the building, and taken her coconuts with her. The notes i mean! sheesh.
Unlike The original Gwen & the sunshine cuties gwen, this gwen instead brings notes of pineapple, apple, peaches and watermelons. Lots and lots of watermelons. I kinda wish she kept her coconuts and made this a tropical hawaiien-esque party!!! The raspberries and whatever flowers are present – arrive fashionably late! Both the top and the middle notes are still juicy and are almost sugary sweet. Although this might just be the natural sugars found in fruits.
It’s reminiscent of a certain perfume, but really – aren’t all perfumes reminiscent of every other perfumes?
