This is a dead ringer for Calvin Klein’s Escape. I am talking about the 90s juice of Escape. I wore Escape every chance I got, loved it to bits. The current Escape is still good, but smells milder than its 90s avatar. Likely due to some reformulation, or maybe I ended up smelling old stock at the counter. It opens aquatic, citrusy and slowly veers into the spicy woody territory. It stays on me for a good 12 hours, but then I have oily skin, if your skin is dry, you are looking at 8 to 10 hours of longevity. That said, it is still a beast mode scent because it survives the Bombay summers beautifully. Cost me INR 1500 when I purchased this from the Ajmal store, but it was a 75 ml bottle (maybe 100ml too, feels heavier than the Shadow bottle) and lasts forever. It is a super heavy and bulky bottle, not for travelling with.

This reminds me of Armaf’s Futura La Homme & or CK Escape.
    That’s a good thing, this smells wonderful…
Spicy, fresh, citrus, but i can’t pick up the granny smith apple…The other notes over power it.
It’s a very lovely scent, not a must have…but a very great addition to your collection.
I used six sprays…both wrist, back & front of my neck, chest and front of my shirt.
    Will I buy this again?…Yes.
Does this fragrance enter BEAST MODE, good, just okay or weak sauce at best? Good.
What’s the strength of this? EDP.

Is it the old, new formulation? New.
What’s its availability; in production, limited edition or discontinued? In production.

It’s as though they disembled Escape and reconstructecd it from the bottom up. Utopia II is more earthy and like many niche fragrances out there more elemental than the manstream and by this I mean that you can pick out the individual notes.
With a spra of each on either wrist. They develope differently. At an early stage you are innured to the smalll of one because for a short while they smell almost identical. The Escape then becomes more fruity while the Ajmal becomes more earthy. It’s almost like the Escape is painted in pastels and the Ajmal with Oils. I see no reason not to own both.
    I love this hobby!

Well said brandonR. Apart from synthetic another most common word used is reformulated, either quote a source or keep ur trap shut.

Folks, please get off the synthetic bandwagon trip already. It’s annoyong and you all sound like a broken down record. ALL scents are compromised with synthetics. If they weren’t, how long do you really think that pretty looking bottle sitting on your dresser would last??
Not once in my entire existence of wearing fragrance has ANYONE of either gender come up to me and say, “You know, you smell nice, but a little synthetic.”
Guys, you either smell good or you don’t. It’s really that simple. The power of suggestion is too strong for it’s own good on Fragranitica.

i recently bought a full bottle, New in box. For me the longevity is at best about 1 hour then it becomes a skin scent. Hardly any projection! Wahts wrong eh?
    Lovely blue/green flacon though.

I received my bottle of Utopia II today and I’m glad I made this blind purchase.
As others have said, it smells synthetic, but I cant think of many perfumes includng designers and niche that aren’t.
It smells of citrus, lavender, wood and some earthy aroma. It is not easy for me to tell each note apart, but all in all it smells really nice. It reminds me of another perfume but I dont know which one.
I would say its more of a summer fragrance, and its office friendly too. Thats all good for me because I have a trigger-happy finger when it comes to perfumes.
Very good quality as expected from Ajmal house, excelent sillage and longevity considering its citrus and wild flowers, which dont last long normally.
    8/10

Unusually masculine for a summer release, and fucking beautiful! I’ve never smelled Calvin Klein’s Escape, nor do I care to. I just know that the U.A.E. is apparenly pumping out better stuff than the U.S. and European markets these days, and Utopia II doesn’t disapoint! The amber and patchouli from this homerun blind buy are the main players for sure, but they’re not rough in any way and work elegantly together with the other notes, creating a breezy, spiked fruit punch type of feel in the most relaxing and peaceful way possible.
Utopia II smells like a tropical midnight honeymoon walk on the beach. The sweet scent of the woods lie less than a quarter of a mile from the ocean during a full moon. Is it formal? Yes. Is it casual? Yes. Infact, I’m sure that In a parallel dimension somewhere, Tom Cruise is wearing this scent while living out the movie Cocktail. Maybe….just maybe.
I hope Ajmal doesn’t read this, but I’d easily pay double for what I paid purchasing Utopia II. The bombastic green opening on this true EDP is something of legends! I guess that’s probably a testament as to why it went directly to my favorites shelf upon my first wearing. In the words of Ben Stiller from the film Happy Gillmore, “This is handmade quality shit we’re talkin here!”

This arrived as a sample phial stuck to a bottle of Arabian Nights by Jesus del Pozo.
I tried it and was pleasantly surprised at how well it projected and lingered.
Even more welcome was the attention it received from the ladies at my workplace. All comments were good.
This convinced me to get a full Flacon, that duly arrived and was applied.
Many compliments later that night and the woody dry down fragrance continued to give wafts of scent for several hours after application.
Very heavy bottle and as usual, an EDP, from the Middle East.
This a mid price product and as such is very good value for money.
I’ll certainly buy this fragrance again.

this smells like a softer, more approachable fahrenheit.
ETA: this one matures nicely and takes on a life of its own after 6 or so hours in. there’s a aromachemical ‘oud’ smell that becomes pronounced, especially towards the tail end of its lifespan. it reminds me a bit of Opus V by Amouage. Just a little. This certainly warrants a try-out…
