You somehow believe, that a perfume that punch you this much at first sniff, would do its job, sit, lay down & roll over (for a loooong time)

Ginger goes first, then pepper, sandalwood and a bit of tonka bean. The smell is not sweet, but more fresh spicy. I didn’t smell cinnamon in it. I guess, it becomes men more than women, but still I love wearing it.

Esteban TONKA comes off more as SPICY SANDALWOOD to my nose. The marked pepper note is perhaps intensified by the ginger, and together with the dominant sandalwood, the tonka is pretty much muted. This certainly is not a sweet scent, as I was expecting from the name–tonka is often used with or instead of vanilla.
TONKA is a fairly spicy, very woody fragrance (so for once I actually agree with the category!) and perhaps slightly better suited to gents than to dames, but it’s a good, simple sandalwood composition all the same.

My yesterday perfume “flirt” with a handsome consultant in a central shop ended on introducing his favourite scent of the brand I’ve never heard of, he even fetched it into the store room as the tester was absent on the shelf. It took me some time to realize why he is so crazy about it.
The opening seemed almost fresh (ginger?) and sensual in a really feminine way, I even re-asked him if it is unisex. In a few minutes its spicy nature made a statement but that «feminine freshness» didn’t totally disappear. It is all about an icy-hot effect, I suppose, obvious but rather gentle. I am totally smitten with the way it is encapsulated here, I can feel this fabulous contrast on the blotter even the next day.
I searched in the net and bumped into the discussion of the enchanted by Tonka (men and women) if this relatively new niche brand production is worth the money they ask for, right, it is pricey. So, what was suggested for consolation is Boss Soul, they are reported to be a little bit similar.
My conclusion is as follows: if you are ready to spend a considerable amount to smell sensual, noble, unique, “expensive”, it could be the right option. I would wear it myself with pleasure, but smelling it on the right man could be dangerous, too easy way to my heart.
