Ehm, no Cassiano, “spiritosa” means “humorous”, “that makes you laughing, while the Italian for spiritual is “spirituale”. The word plays with a triple sense, since “spirito” is the Italian for spirit but also humour and also an obsolete word for “alcol”.

This perfume was launched in 2014 and its name means, in English, “Spiritual Tincture”. Here, the term tincture has nothing to do with the action of dyeing, but with the function of some remedies, according to the creative concept of the company.
The inspiration were the anti-neurasthenic tonics. Neurasthenia is the term used to indicate brain weakness (neuro = brain, asthenia = weakness, fatigue).
Tintura Spiritosa was made to tickle the skin, activating the central nervous system through its fragrance with initial notes of currant, black pepper, hedione and nutmeg, which open the way for a body of Damask rose and mate essence, calming down over a creamy base of vanilla, labdanum, amber, musk and Karanal (Givaudan’s synthetic compound, which conveys woody and amber aromas).
On the skin, however, the fragrance is not as stimulating. And of all the creations of the house that I tested so far, this is the only one that I do not fully consider unisex. It sounds feminine and behaves like a feminine fragrance, mainly in the first 3 hours. It is floral and oriental, sweet and evolves with gourmands facets. It stays linear and on my skin is nothing but a fine scent of roses and vanilla, with a few subtle touches of amber. What a pity that the spicy nuances of nutmeg and pepper did not manifest themselves with more potency.
In its name, printed on the label of the bottle, there is a term (in parentheses) that says: a cucchiaini, from Italian language. The translation means teaspoons, which I believe is related to the dosage method of tonics, when given to children and the sick.
Tintura Spiritosa has high projection and great longevity, but I wouldn’t indicate its use in hot days, because it can become very nauseating for who wears it and for who is around.

Grapes & roses as the first spray then comes the slight nutmeg as a side with some black pepper, or let’s say a shyly black peppers while the hedione is making the blend a bit medicinal. After all the fight goes between Roses and Grapes (not currant) and it is quite a huge fight cause the sharpness of the juice goes quite high and harsh. not bad thou, an acceptable juice.

Bellissima rosa fragrante d’ambra e noce moscata.
Mi ricorda il mio splendido Ardent Boadicea (che però è arricchito anche da coriandolo e zafferano…), vedo che la piramide olfattiva è simile…La dolcezza è resa dal labdano che rende il profumo morbido e “rotondo”.
Rosa profonda, non intensissima, si espande “a rilascio lento ma costante”.
Messi due zic sui polsi prima di dormire, la mattina dopo il profumo era ancora ben presente, aromatizzando l’intera stanza.
Rilassante e interessante.
