Description

Tiare represents a female touch of Polynesia, floral and exotic kingdom of aromas and colors. This fragrance occupies and overwhelms with Tiara flower, sweetened by coconut milk that makes the composition more delicate and taunting. The fruity touch consists of Damask plum. The perfume is very feminine and enchanting. It carries a story of Tahitian women and Tiara petals as the symbol of love. It is available as 100 ml edp, with the matching body products, shower milk, rich perfume fusion, shampoo and body cream.

I LOVE this perfume!!! But it’s short’lived, L’Erbolario needs to reformulate this perfume!!! It has very poor longevity 🙁
By the way, they did change the bottle and does not look like a room spray anymore. Very nice-fits easily into my bag.

A very different fragrance and NOTHING like the Bronze Goddess! This one has a scent of its own!It smells like burned plum, cedar and caramel. It could also be a great room spray for an uplifting summery mood.

Beautiful and unusual fragrance BUT it lasts only for about one hour…..The company has to change the bottle also. It looks like a room spray-cheaply made.

If you love Tahitian Tiare Flower which is a star shaped six petal white gardenia this fragrance is for you. I love it but it’s rather powerful and I use it as room spray air freshner. It comes off as exotic like an aroma of Tahiti or Hawaii in spring time. The coconut is a big player and gives it that tropical vibe. The other flowers ylangylang and primrose cyclamen are not big players but they harmonize with the tiare flower. There is gardenia in this fragrance that is not listed but there is a real gardenia here which naturally blends with Tiare. The plum note is sweet. This is a fruity floral scent that dries down with a soft base of vanilla and cedar wood. Even so I would not call this a woodsy scent. The vanilla is the strongest of the base notes and in fact I would say this is a gardenia vanilla. It’s delicious. It’s a gourmand gardenia. However it seems way too strong for me to wear with my clothes sometimes. The gardenia gives it a lift but it pushes the Tiare in the forefront and it’s very strong. I wore it all day for 3 days one week and people assumed I had been growing gardenias at home. This is a gorgeous tropical scent and I know many women that love the Tiare flower in this frag. I have sold this fragrance on ebay. I have a friend in Florida that loves this stuff. This is a fragrance for spring and summer in warm weather climates like the Southern States Florida Georgia South Carolina or Southern California. This is really nice but I don’t see it as a perfume. This is room spray. Even the bottle looks like an air freshner.

On first impressions, this is very similar to Bronze Goddess by Estee Lauder but a lot stronger which is exactly what I was going for.
It then settles down to a white floral with a definite aquatic note which is not listed in the notes. There is a salty/sandy note there too. The fragrance is very beach-like and summery.
There is also a hint of coconut in the fragrance but only very faintly.
Thankfully I can’t detect any plum which I thought was quite a random note to put in a beach-like perfume, but as others have mentioned the fragrance is very sweet.
The overall impression it gives is suntan lotion on the beach.
The sillage starts of heavy to enormous then, disappointingly, settles down to a skin-scent on me. The longevity is about average.

It’s a very enjoyable perfume, but it should be worn sparingly just to avoid the “sugar cake effect” referred by Mellyhelly.
I find the earliest notes very interesting, because among the sweetness of coconut, vanilla and tiaré, I can feel also a remarkable salty note, even if it’s not listed by Fragrantica… I’ll write an email to L’Erbolario to ask them the olfactory pyramid and to verify this savory feeling.
If this salty accord last longer, Tiarè would be the perfect summer beachy fragrance, but unfortunately after a while it becomes too sweet and a bit synthetic.
I definitely prefer the scent of “Tiaré-ricca fusione profumata”, the monoi butter from the same line of L’Erbolario… I use to spread it on my hair before having the bath, and its scent is more natural and refined than the perfume, because the ingredients are of a higher quality.
Going back to the fragrance, sometimes I wear Tiaré layered to another fruity perfume more sour and tangy, and the effect is very nice.

A few years ago I bought a bottle of this…ehm… perfume!
I don’t know what I was thinking. Well, I was in a very depressing and boring period of my life, working like a dog in an oppressive and sad office. I had to spend lots of time on an overpacked busline that was killing my nervous system with bad smells.
I went to your usual herbal shop and saw this one. One whiff and I was hooked. Probably my poor little brain saw images of seashores in an exotical land and tons of suntan lotion. I bought it on the spot and off I went all giggling. For about 2 days I was happy with it. I used to wear only 1-2 sprays. There was something comforting in this sugared suntan lotion, almost childish comfort.
One day I sprayed some more and it smelled so strong and gross. I took the same bus and a few people stared at me annoyed. Hey, guys, what do you stare at? My suntan lotion with sugar is still better than your armpit and shoes!
A friend of mine took the same bus and knowing my passion for perfumes asked me: “Pheww… what did you put on this time? It’s unbearable!” L’Erbolario Tiarè!
And she told me: it smells like plastic and sugar!
Mmmm, no, not really plastic to my nose but sugar yes!
This is a coat thick 2cm of the veil sugar that you put on Christmas cake and homemade pie, only with a more bitter backsmell, like aspartame on a big synthetic exotic flower.
I went on wearing it as a weapon on the bus, until it made me feel sick. Not trashy and not a stink but absolutely sickening, especially after a while and yet can be addictive. I’m not sure that I won’t wear it anymore. Sometimes it’s just what you need.
It last very long on skin and fabrics.

I can attest that this truly smells like frangipani as the trees line the little paths of my parents’ neighbourhood. I rank this between Songes EDT and EDP. The EDT for Songes doesn’t last very long on my skin unfortunately despite its beauty. The EDP is much stronger than L’Erbolario, the frangipani and vanilla in that truly stand out remarkably for many hours. L’erbolario handles the more expensive competition well, sillage is good and longevity surpasses 12 hours on clothes. A beautiful smooth mix of frangipani, non overpowering vanilla and a creamy coconut. Beautiful and inexpensive. I am very pleased with my purchase which is less than half the price of Songes in my country.

at first I liked it. then I began to smell an annoying jasmin. Like if they have crushed a bowl of rotten jasmins right in front of my face. awful.

This is the classic sweet, tiare-coconutty scent that always reminds me of suntan lotion and tropical places. A bit too strong for me, but well-done, and if you’re into this kind of scents you’ll probably love it.

This is a real masterpiece. Some perfect eternal white flowers in their poetical soul, at the begin of any summer anywhere, anytime. A clear mossy, light sugary, soft pungent green sorbet, a pure and living jasmin floating in a cottony coconut milk. Enveloping but not stuffy, scratchy, but not so marine, maybe a leaf seaweed there. True joy. At times reminds me of evergreen jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides) on summer evenings, sometimes real fat gardenia (as tiare belong to that family). Perfect original composition, a lucky balance, not so typical monoi. Under the name of Guerlain or Patou it would be an international success I believe.
If I remember well It was born just as body and hair butter with an hight concentration of monoi, in 2007. And after the success of this intense fragrance for the body L’Erbolario decided to create the edt and other product for the body easiest to wear than the solid butter. Remotely remember me L’Instant de Guerlain and Murmure de Van Cleef & Arpels.

Ok I have to admit that I bought it a few years ago. I just got caught in the hole tahitian coconut sun tropical scenario.
The bad news is that after two hours my imaginary vacation ended up with me and people surrounding me feeling seasick in the middle of Florence.

Love this one. It’s perfect for a sunny holiday…it smells sweet and creamy! I had it and I have actually Tahitian Holiday of Avon: they are similar but not egual….Tiarè is more biting, and I can feel more musk here, the avon’s one is too sweet!

It’s almost 1 in 1 with Avon’s Tahitian Holiday. Tiare with coconuts and vanilla. It’s a little bit more soapy though.

As Galya said this is a iodate and sea breeze. Much better sea scent than the new one “fiore d’onda” by erbolario. While tiarè is a sweet sea, fiore d’onda stinks (and lasts for hrs!!). Anyway l’erbolario is able to provide beautiful fragrances at a very reasonable price. Well done.
