Full disclosure: I’m in love with this scent
I share the views of other posters ….its not a sexy scent per se in fact it’s more comforting than sexy.
    I wear this to bed.
First blast is pure lemon meringue pie
Then it settles to a deep velvety vanilla woody loveliness
I ordered a bottle straight away after I got my sample which is very rare for me 🙂
My only complaint is how poor the silage is…have to keep reapplying!
    Note;
The poor silage is not my imagination! According to Sarah McCartney it’s a scent that should be smelt close up 🙂

loved the initial blast I got from this scent, disappointed it wore off so quickly. Had it more concentration and staying power I would definitely consider buying but could hardly smell anymore after 30 mins . overpriced x 10 times easily .

Has three very distinct, linear, phases. Firstly the lovely bright burst of citrus which gradually fades into the woody middle notes eventually leaving just the base notes of ambergris and vanilla. It had disappeared completely within about three hours.

Very pleasant scent. A creamy vanilla woodsy scent that lingers close to your skin. A strong like for me. If I received this as a gift I’d be happy, but at this point I don’t see myself purchasing a full bottle.
I have a problem with the name though. I find this scent comforting, a soft scent that seems more girl next door than the sexiest scent.

Sexiest Scent on the Planet. IMHO.
The ‘sexiest scent’, as addressed by Sarah McCartney in her quirky quick little bus video, is an ironic title as she herself doesn’t see it as an entirely sexy scent, yet others did when she first showed people it outside of the ‘Gin Garden’ context. As I understand it, Sexiest Scent was a base for a scent with ingredients that were highly regulated but while it worked as a base, it also worked as a fragrance in itself.
This scent has helped me understand what fragrantica lists as ambergris. I’ve come to understand that the listed notes on fragrantica, much to the bane of perfumers worldwide, are often inaccurate. However, this ingredient is something I’ve smelt in many niche fragrances from Zoologist to Creed. It has a slightly spicy and peppery smell to it, and I’ve also mistaken it in other scents to be a weird mixture of alcohol and apple. Take what you will from that, the apple scent doesn’t appear here. Here we have a vanillin, Iso E, bergamot and what could be ambergris scent. The bergamot and vanillin create an opening not unlike the lifespan of Sunshine & Pancakes. It’s soft, sweet (but not too sweet) and ever so beautiful. After this fades away, the Iso E creates an image of what fragrantica describes as ‘woods’. I can’t describe what the woods are, but there is an element of what could only be described as dry wood stored in a plastic bag and then removed, leaving the scent of said dry wood within the bag. It’s very comforting, very relaxing. What I think may actually be a synthetic ambergris (as though it could be legit, being that its illegal status) is very persistent at times. It’s really the only attempt at spicy sexiness I can perceive. Not that it was entirely meant to be sexy when created.
This is what I would also consider to be a ‘warm group hug’ also. It’s comforting, warm and ever so cute. Not cute in a condescending way, but cute in a way that you would consider a partner hugging up against you and nuzzling your neck kind of way. It becomes a skin scent on me very quickly and doesn’t project too much but I honestly think that’s the best way for it to be. For it to be the Sexiest Scent, maybe you’d want it to be intimate. If it were a relaxed and intimate scent, what better way for it to perform that by just being something that only one (or two if you’re in for that…) person can smell.
Just gorgeous and infinitely relaxing. Applied this on top of Amarige which was still projecting after a nice hot shower and I’m getting faint wiffs of sandalwood and tuberose. It’s really quite wonderful to layer this scent as I feel it could go with most anything (within reason)
    Truly enjoy this scent.

The first moment I smelled this, I went okay “citrusy vanilla with a woody undertone”, a moment later I was crying because I smelled the last block walk from the 3rd street promenade to the ocean in Santa Monica (which I miss terribly). At the time I didn’t know about Iso E Super, or that- although it technically smells like cedar- it takes on the smell of whatever you desire. The journalist thought this was the sexiest scent on the planet not because of the straight up vanilla/lemon/cedar mixture (though the smell of lemon meringue pie never turned anyone OFF), but because of what it does to your brain. Some people can’t smell it at all and for some people, it’s human cat nip. It fades fairly rapidly, but then it comes back with body heat. You may be just sitting there and you suddenly get smacked in the face with the scent out of nowhere. Ordered a special bottle from London. I don’t care if anyone else likes it, I want to smell it myself.

This was a free sample with purchase, which I was happy about as I’d heard of it and wanted to try it – I was curious to see if the scent would live up to the name. I was a bit dismayed when it first went on – there’s something very sharp and medicinal in the opening which seemed to catch the back of my nose in an unpleasant way. Thankfully, after a few minutes, that settles down. What’s left is a soft, faintly smoky woody note touched with creamy vanilla. Definitely not what the name suggests though – there’s nothing overly sexy about this at all. That’s not to say it’s bad – there’s something very warm and cosy about this, but it’s more of a skin scent on me. Longevity, sadly, isn’t great – barely three hours. I like it, but I’m not in love with it.

    This was decent
I was hoping that it would be a pheromone but I thought that it would most likely turn out to be a unisex fragrance with a hint of sex appeal like ALIEN by Thierry Mugler. This is not 100 percent like Alien but it can be worn by folks who like Alien. This is not a pheromone or “attract a mate” type of perfume despite it’s name of SEXIEST SCENT ON THE PLANET EVER’. For it to be such a scent, it would have to be labeled either for men or for women and this is for both, so it’s not going to be used as a way for you to attract the opposite sex. This is in the simplest terms a decent vanilla and woods fragrance, neutral and not too feminine or masculine, not sweet, not powdery, not dark, not mysterious and not sexy. It’s just perfume.
I will say that the opening is fresh. It has a cool refreshing citrus. It’s orange juice in the morning. This is a really well composed bergamot orange to the point that if you can’t make out the other notes this is a gorgeous singular scent of bergamot. I love oranges and citrus so for me this is the best part. It’s everything that one associates with bergamot orange or orange trees: sweet but strong, fresh, fruity, sharp, and at times bitter. The citrus wears off and it reveals, to my surprise, that there are no floral notes. I suppose that even one floral note – let’s say lavender or rosemary, would have made this fragrance even better. Lavender and rosemary are scents that don’t come off as either male or female and could be worn by both. I wish to God this had some lavender, rosemary, carnation, or jasmine. I’ve experienced those floral notes before and even on guys it smells good.
This fragrance goes from good citrus to aromatic woods. This is a woodsy fragrance that smells like the inside of a wooden cottage. It also suggests an inviting wooden bed. The vanilla in the base is creamy but soft and like vanilla scented candles, so my mind was afire with thoughts of scented candles on a bed with sexy satiny sheets and a couple making love. The woods are nice, and enjoyable as intro to woodsy notes including even OUD. This might be oud.
I can’t detect ambergris or maybe I have to discover what it is and what it smells like in order to identify it. If it refers to that gooey almost amber like scent I would have guessed it’s just a regular amber note in fragrance. This is not a big amber however and whatever that ambergris is doing, it’s not doing much of it. This is a simple easy to wear inoffensive scent to put on every day. Casual, a bit boring, but pleasant. There is also a body skin (not sweat) feel to it, like a skin scent. It’s not quite sun tan lotion like Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess although it can have that sorta feel to it. It’s also a little like Olympea by Paco Rabbane. So this I suppose was meant to work well with most if not all people’s skin types and body chemistry so that it ends up smelling like your own skin and body but with a detectable scent of vanilla. This is supposed to be saying everyone can have the sexiest scent.
    My story about this perfume
When I first bought it I had opened it and left the box in front of the hallway by my bedroom. My boyfriend Stephen saw it and immediately thought that I was in the room ready for some action. I was still trying it on when he smelled it on me and didn’t think it was the sexiest scent on the planet.
    But we made love anyways.

It’s not bad thou but not the sexiest (Thanx Sarah for clearing up why you used this name). I sense her stamp with the slight strawberry and lime daiquiri with allot of sugars rather than vanilla. It’s quite playful and splashy, full of sweet candy and sounds like a party & i think that’s why the journalist said “It’s the sexiest scent evah”.
Not that captivating as her other creations, but remains ok & i guess people are disliking this cause they are effected by the name as each one sniffs this and unconsciously say “No, This is not the sexiest scent on the planet”.
choosing this name is a two sides sword, Curiosity & Comparing.

Its ok. Thats pretty much all I can say. I wouldn’t buy a full bottle. It is very vanilla. You do get a little bit of woods too. Overall, Kinda blah… And very borderline unisex.

  11. :

Enough to confirm yet again that Niche perfumery just is too much of a gamble. Save for the samples at the likes of Luckyscent, most would never get to hear of fragrances such as this one. Maybe she saw her chance and came up with a clever hook of a name for this scent and it was bound to get some attention. Though honestly, time for the playfulness with the words and all that to give way to the star of the show i.e. the scent. So, where is the scent anyhow?. Nothing more than a faint wisp of nothing really. A too light lemon lime vanilla accord with what appears like cedar in the background. So poor in fact I can smell the remnants of yesterdays edc right over it. Wow. Then the price charged for a full bottle is outrageous. All in all one of the greatest letdowns ever.
Just again to recap. If you can get more than 15 mins out of this one you are doing better than the rest of us. Sarah Maccartney, please enough of the larking around . What you have produced here is very poor indeed.

Not a sex bomb like it’s name suggests. It’s really nice and smells great on me but I wear this to go out with girl friends and at the beach. This feels very cozy, sweet and friendly. Usually “sexy” fragrances are spicy. This is a sweet vanilla perfume with a touch of woods and aquatic ambergris. The opening is citrus very fresh and feels good when I spray it. I like fragrances that start that way. The vanilla comes out beautifully. The fragrance is subtle and so it’s perfect if you’re looking for office scents to wear at work. Not bad, just not as sexy as I thought it would be.

Having tried several from this house, this one, perhaps their most (in)famous, had so far eluded me.
Sexy? No, I wouldn’t say so especially. Let’s get that out of the way. But it is a beautiful cosy skin scent. First off, a citrus bergamot blast. I smell this bergamot in “Silk Lace and Chocolate”. This quickly subsides into a vanilla woody skin scent which on me is linear to the end. But what a gorgeous and unusual scent!
As it is fairly simple in construction it lends itself to layering. You could use a floral if you want some jam on your croissant. However, for days when you want something gorgeous and simple, this croissant is perfectly delicious on its own!

  14. :

    5 out of 5

I haven’t tried many from this house but this one definitely gets a thumbs up. At the start it was quite tart which quickly dried off to a sweet, comforting woodiness. This stayed with the scent as vanilla and musk came through. For me personally, I don’t find this particularly sexy but that is not a criticism as I don’t always want to smell that way… On me, this is cosy, warm and somehow kind. I would also say that this would be fine to wear in all seasons and weathers – always a bonus in the changeable British climate. Well worth trying!

This opens brightly citrussy and then moves smoothly to a woody vanilla.
Those who commented on the iso E super are very right – it underpins this fragrance and re-emerges repeatedly as you wear it, but in a very neat and integrated way.
It doesn’t have great projection but it’s an interesting and very easy-to-wear scent that lasts pretty well.
Like many others I found myself sniffing my wrists over and over. It may even be FB-worthy.
FWIW this seems more comfortable and clean than sexy, to me… but it’s lovely, never the less.

HAHA, that’ll learn me to be impatient… submitted two reviews by accident.
Wow, do I ever get lemon meringue pie with this! I’d have never thought of mixing it with woods, but the combo works beautifully!
I’m reminded of Nina Ricci L’Elixir (Assuming the berry notes were replaced with lemon and vanilla… maybe Nina Ricci Délicieuse in a lemon-shaped bottle with similar effects to L’elixir. Silver or rose-gold leaves?).
Mum is reminded of Breath of God because the woods are warm and smoky to her nose.
It’s not even been half an hour since trying this and I’ve already said I love it three times.
Tried Who Knew? as well. That was quite nice but I think I was a bit heavyhanded with it and found it annoyed my nose in the end.
Mum ordered a sample box and got a handwritten note on pretty paper in purple ink with hers!
    * * * * *
Bah, I think my review got eaten…
Boy do I ever get lemon meringue pie with this! I’d have never thought of mixing that with woods, but it’s a beautiful combination.
Not even had it on half an hour and already said how much I love it three times.
I get something like Nina Ricci L’elixir, if lemon and vanilla replaced the berry notes. Maybe Nina Ricci Délcieuse, in a lemon-shaped bottle with a similar aesthetic to L’elixir?
Mum is reminded of Breath of God because the woods are soft and smoky to her nose.
I’ve also tried Who Knew?, which was OK but annoyed my nose in the end. I think I was a little heavyhanded with that, whereas I just borrowed the cotton bud mum dipped into TSSOTPEIMHO and wiped that on my hadn after she was done with it.
Although it’s a very original concept and blend (to me), it smells familiar in a way that Who Knew? really doesn’t. Almost found WK? alienating, I think… but not unpleasant.

Having purchased so much perfume that I could have bought a Ferrari, and I wish I had in hindsight; this is the first niche perfumer who has a human touch. What a lovely email, that just the one which in most cases is an out of office mailer. I probably will be let down having sung high praises, story of my life. However Sarah, seems to be a Utopian sort of character. I am going to order something, anything, just because she is the first person to involve a human element, in a world of the big fashion houses, and even niche perfume houses. Her and Linda Pilikington (Ormonde Jayne) makes you think that sometimes it is about the contact and how they treat an individual, which adds to the olfactory experience, after all smell is one of the things which transports you to a space, and time and event all adding to the experience. Smelling like the mass majority is alright, but one comes to a relisation where the smell, is wow and the person who made, or sold you the frag is as important. This a classic case in point. This sounds divine but her frag named the sexiest scent in the world had me sniffing me wrist after I thought the impudence of calling your own fragrance the sexiest in the world! I’ m a believer.

woody musky (like a log fire type).
Lovely and sexy for perfume lovers who like woody notes.
Reminded me vaguely of EL’s Sensuous EDP.

Kinda a corny name, but hey because of the silly name I tried it. So maybe marketing worked!?
As others have said this has a deff ISO E super, molecule 01 kinda vibe to it. However as someone that can smell that pretty clearly in general and am not immune to it, this does not have the potentially nostril burning synestheticness that 01 has. But
Theres not a lot going on here, so its hard to over complicate besides the non mentioning of the ISO e Super which very well could just be the way the woodsy note works in this. Its pretty easy to pick out every note here here just casually smelling I think. For what its worth the opening has that crisp zeztyness that quickly dissipates, and then I get something that kinda reminds me of a orange starburst actually. With that woodsy/ISO e super being really apparent.
Again assuming if its not just that woodsy note then, and there is some ISO E super in this, the interesting thing might be, for others who cant smell ISO E super(Which seems to be strangely common), I wonder what others think this smells like? Thats the most interesting thought I have about it.
Not amazing, nor really sexy either IMHO(get it? get it? … anyway). But for what its worth I think it smells pretty decent for what it is. The corny name i honestly expected this to be different(and much worse), but even though I didnt love this by any means this is deff wearable and a nice smell. Ill have to try it out more to field test it a bit and see what others think on its “sexyness”.

Definate hint of Cardamom, Cedar, like pencil shavings, vanilla and soft leathery woods. Not unlike Tauer fragrances. ALl in all a nice smell but the price is too high.

  22. :

    5 out of 5

Horrible, quite frankly. The initial burst was citrussy fresh and almost exactly like Clarins Eau Dynamisante, but within 15 minutes it had changed into a sickly sweet cross between vanilla and banana milkshake. I didn’t get any spice or wood, this was like the smell of cheap ice cream. Longevity is good (or bad depending on how you feel about it)-10 hours later I can still smell it.

I like this but not blown away as I have been with other creations from this house. It would be hard for anyone not to like this. It can be worn anytime anywhere. Yes, I detected the ISO alright but it does not overwhelm the rest of the notes by any means. Its all warm but not overly sweet vanillary cedary loveliness with the bergamot to give a bit of kick. Moderate sillage and lasts for many hours.
I think it is quite a warm unisex fragrance. I tried it on my fella and oooh! I couldnt keep my hands of him lol He likes it on me as well ; )
ps It wasnt Sarah who said it was “The sexiest….” but a friend of hers and Sarah decided to call it that. Both Sarah and I think “Midnight in the Palace Garden” (from the luxury Crimes of Passion collection) is very sexy. WOW! that is some special juice.

  24. :

Your love or dislike of this perfume will depend entirely on your relationship with Iso E Super and white musk. Because that is what is at the heart of this fragrance. And I would venture to guess that there are loads of both in here. To some people Iso E acts like human catnip, irresistible and intriguing. Others are completely anosmic and still others are puzzled by its popularity. In all fairness, I am in the latter camp, I smell a peppery, woody, almost cedary accord when I sniff Iso E. It doesn’t repel me, but it doesn’t draw me in either. So I am most likely immune to its charms in this fragrance.
I actually find the white musk in this fragrance to be well done, it is not too screechy clean and it gives the vanilla a fluffiness. But there is little development or progression of notes, just whipped vanilla musk set next to an appealing bergamot. Pleasant, but boring. I don’t get the ambergris dry down, and I was looking for it. I do love a nice “lived in” skin musk dry down, but it never appeared for me. I tried this fragrance a total of three times, and all I ever got was a polite woody vanilla with a touch of citrus. Yawn.
    Bottom line: overpriced and overhyped.

A lovely comforting scent to me, very cozy. I get little wafts of it for an hour or two after application but it doesn’t seem to last much longer. I am tempted to buy a full sized bottle but haven’t forked out just yet.

I’ve been trying to figure out what people think is so sexy about this perfume. It doesn’t smell that good in the sample vial or on my skin. Seems like when that happens I find out later it’s the ISO-E-Super. Anyway, more for you lovers of it!

It starts off sweet and citrussy and dries to a cedar musky yummy liqueur. I keep sniffing my arm. Addictive. Some have said the sillage is not there, but I keep getting whiffs of something even when I am not putting my face to my arm.
Not sure if this is the sexiest scent yet, it can certainly be layered if too simple. I like it as it is. It is those spicy musky sweet notes taken out on their own. Defo unisex.

I’m sorry, but I don’t get it. Each time I test this scent, I smell like I’ve been rescued from an electrical fire. Burnt plastic, and frayed, smoking cabling. Am I missing something?
The only mercy is that it barely lasts an hour on my skin.

  30. :

Smoky vanilla with little citrus at the backround. Smells very nice but seats really close to skin no projection at all. $90 for 50ml I was expecting something at least with better performance!!

It’s crazy but occasionally you open a sample and go YES. This is it, I love this. I’m always cautious of samples like that because in the past I’ve bought a bottle straight away, and then burnt out within weeks. Often the instant love just doesn’t endure… maybe it’s the lack of complexity, the sheer number of samples I own just confuse me. I don’t know. I’d read smelling_gr8’s review, and knowing her well enough I know my friend usually has something even when her love is not my thang. The desire to buy haunts me. My finger hovering over the largest bottle…so I got an 8ml for the commitment phobic to be sure. I want to bathe in it.. awful horrid addict that I am. Straight away my husband said bonfires, and now I read that we are not alone in thinking this. It’s familiar, comforting, simple, complex, creamy, uplifting, cozy, known, and yet different and unique. I had to write to Sarah, she says she loves her work and i’m not surprised. I love it too. 8ml’s just ain’t gonna cut it.

  33. :

This is a gorgeous, musky, smoky vanilla.
When I first put it on, I mostly got woody notes and musk, the vanilla wasn’t that noticeable. The woody notes are quite autumnal, although I’m wearing this on a hot summer day and it’s fine for that too. There is a hint of bonfires and hot bodies dancing around them.
After about an hour, the vanilla appears and it’s so well done. It’s not a sickly vanilla and not even really gourmand. It gives the musk and smoky woods a beautiful creamy quality.
I love how musky this is without being specifically masculine. It’s a very unisex scent to me. I love musk, but often find to get it in the quantities you can really smell it on you, the fragrance ends up being too masculine for my personal taste. So this is a breath of fresh air.
I’ve had this on since 1pm and it’s now just after 7pm and it’s still going strong, so longevity is great. Very soft sillage. It’s more of a personal scent than one to make a public statement with. This adds to the sexiness of it because someone would have to brush up against you to catch it.
4160 Tuesdays sell very generous samples on their site, which is where I got this. I’ll definitely be buying a full bottle soon. Smoky, musky, a little spicy, subtle and yes, very sexy. Definite winner.

I have to comment on the name. My recent order from Indiescents included 3 samples of my choosing. I already knew 2 samples that I wanted, but I was unsure of the 3rd. So; from scrolling through the Indiescents website, my eyes were automatically drawn to 4160Tuesdays. I do not think it’s a stupid name at all. In fact, It’s one of the reasons I chose to sample something from them. I also think “The Sexiest Scent on the Plant (IMHO)” is cute.
That said, on to the scent… IMHO; this is one of the best vanillas out there, and I have many! It’s a gorgeous, woody vanilla with a slight boozy note. Very cozy, and comforting. It kind of reminds me of sitting beside a campfire on a cool evening. Perfect for fall, and I would love to get a bottle.
Vanilla lovers, you’re missing out if you haven’t tried this one. It’s amazing!

  35. :

This is gorgeous. It’s hard to believe there’s no patchouli in it as its wonderfully rich. The Vanilla is so heady its almost boozy and the Woodiness ends up being the dominant note. Great for the evening and great for winter too. Longevity is excellent.

  36. :

    5 out of 5

I find this quite masculine with a cedar type of note the most persistent. It does seem to want some top note so I layered it with some Rose cologne and that set it off quite well. Not very strong and only the darkest woody notes persist beyond an hour.

I’m surprised to see the iso-e-super isn’t used in this perfume as it smells very similar to Escentric Molecules Molecule 01, but with a dash of vanilla. Anyway if you don’t know what iso-e-super smells like, it’s basically a peppery, woody, musky smell. I like that this has vanilla, but I think if I were to buy either of these I’d go with Molecule 01 simply because it has better sillage and longevity. On the subject of the name, I think it’s really cute given the backstory.

A few years ago I visited Cochin in the heart of Kerala; its back streets were made of a thousand ramshackle, tumble down, shack-like shops; their shelves groaned with the kind of gorgeous handmade products western retail experts like to snap up at teeny prices before selling to a western imagination primed for vintage knickknackery at ludicrous prices. Lulu and Nat, I’m side-eyesing you. These shops secreted away in their back rooms dark-eyed Indian Princesses in white linen shifts, whose printless footsteps through the Sandalwood rooms behind did not eliminate them entirely from glimpses into the cool recesses made by those shamelessly bartering away at the font counter. Sexiest Scent, whether it is designed to or not, is that world of slender long-thighed dusky daughters, their breath scented with vanilla, waterfall length hair swishing with the aura of cloves whilst they dry out the bergamot leaves on the back terrace. I’m a sucker for sandalwoods, and this drifts off into a darkly smoky one at the finish. As complexly interesting as a Tauer, which is the highest compliment I can pay it.

A thin line between passion and wearing your feelings on your sleeve; Either way, I don’t see the value in explaining yourself. The name of your company is the name of your company. I don’t have a problem with it. I’m pretty sure people laughed at the name Google and Yahoo when it first arrived on the scene. Look at them now….Billion dollar companies. Maybe im different but there’s not a bone in my body that will allow me to pretend that there is an opinion out there that i care about. Don’t ever apologize for being contrarian, stand firm.

Hello. Loving the huge mix of reviews
Just dropping in. Just so you know, there are no spices in The Sexiest Scent on the Planet. Ever. (IMHO)
And yes, the name is supposed to be silly, not serious, but I was quoting a very young fashion journalist who said to me, “Oh my god! This is the Sexiest scent evah!” and I thought that was really funny.
4160Tuesdays – if you live for 80 years that’s how many Tuesdays you get. Not enough. I was already writing a blog by that name, so I adopted it for the company. I could hardly call it Sarah McCartney as I’d just be buried in Google by Stella.
Silly maybe but stupid? I hope not.

This is a beautifully addictive citrus and vanilla that has me sniffing my arm all day. Clearly high quality ingredients and great longevity on my skin. Regarding the name of the brand- I don’t think Sarah McCartney is trying to be clever at all, just using common sense. Type her name and ‘perfume’ into Google and it’s no surprise that another McCartney tops the bill. A random number like 4160? Bingo!

So far, this is the only scent from this house that I have found even vaguely wearable at all. But I still don’t like it. This one doesn’t smell “sexy” to me at all. On my skin this scent began with a major blast of black pepper. I know the perfumer says there is no spice in this juice. However, after reading reviews by some bloggers like Kafkaesque, I now understand that the peppery spicey notes that I smell come from major doses of ISO-E-Super. If you can smell the ISO-E-Super (which is present in megadoses in this juice) you will get, as I did, a “pepper pot” dish with a spice mixture for pumpkin pie going right next to it from this fragrance. This scent lasts for almost 2 hours, with a bit of citrus coming into the mix, but overwhelming pepper and spices.
Finally after about 4 hours the juice begins to soften a bit and lovely woods came in- sandalwood and cedar I smelled particularly. I never smelled a distinct vanilla note, just a bit of softening of the fragrance toward the end. To my nose this is one of the most ‘in your face” scents on the planet.” This perfumer needs to walk away from all those synthetics- they are not working for me or for anyone who can smelll the dreaded ISO-E-Super.

Oops, didn’t realise I hadn’t left a review for this yet!
Well this was my first fragrance from this house that I tried, and it has proven to be like a gateway drug for me as I am now sampling my way through their collection!
I really recommend this scent, it is fairly simple in it’s composition, but sometimes, for something simple to work, it has to be done very well, and this, in my opinion, is done very very well. Goes on smooth, rich, “full”, it is not at all watery or insipid. Lovely natural smelling vanilla, this smells expensive, the bergamot lifts it and makes it light and airy, and the woody notes give it a firm grounding and depth preventing it from floating off into the total fluffy-bunny arena! The musks add a warm sensuous note, and all together, with the 4160Tuesdays base recognisable in all their scents this makes for a really good perfume.
I personally find it more comforting and comfortable than sexy…it is very elegant and very feminine and I see how it could be sensuous but to me it is more a comfort scent. However it would work equally well with an elegant shift dress and court shoes, or curled up at home in your PJs.
I am surprised a lot of people say this is a skin scent as I get quite a lot of sillage from this and it lasts easy 12 hours on me.
This is really nice and a good starting point for exploring this house. I love it! Go try some! 🙂
