Wow this is such an oddball on me! I would expect a boozy leathery gourmand to be really dark and heavy and well, decadent! On me (as it did for another reviewer I noticed) it does kinda veer to the fresh side (this is early after application though and nobody knows better then me how these oils can change and morph as they wear on your skin) almost like a laundry detergent/fabric softener vibe it’s very tantalizing I can’t stop sniffing my wrist. So while different then I expected I love it nonetheless
UPDATE: after a good rest this smells much more gourmand, less alcohol and freshness

This is quite lovely.
When I read the reviews I didn’t expect much but I still had a hunch and ordered a sample. And it was a happy surprise.
(sort of) Gourmand, leathery, ambery, sexy, creamy and dark, all at once.
It is rich, full, well rounded. I would say that all the notes are almost equally present. I sense soft leather, more like suede, perhaps it is toned down with musk that gives the creamy aspect. Amber works really nice with the boozy notes and honey. Dark cocoa and opium create the Noir vibe. But not all the way Noir like in some others of their perfume oils (“Darkness shining in lightness”, “Deadly nightshade”…)
Tobacco is somehow lost beween the booze and amber, but its still here.
Potent and long lasting. Worth the money, that is for sure.

This doesn’t smell like the notes listed. It smells more fresh and not gourmand at all. Very floraly with no distinct notes. Borderlines on clean. Not something that I would purchase on its own. the sample I have had has lasted me for about a year LOL.
Medium Sillage, Medium Longevity

All the notes sound like a dream but all I smell is a nightmare :(. I have a bottle if someone wants it.

Gorgeous cozy scent; with a muscular figure draped under softest suede in the drydown. There is a VERY skanky opening to this and when I sniff from the tester – not offensive, but it certainly made me sit up a bit straighter…Hello…what’s this? It could be the honey – I find honey turns terribly dirty on my skin.
This soon morphs into the loveliest leather, rum and vanilla blend. A little honey perhaps but nothing sickly sweet here.
I wish it would project more and last a bit longer but I’m figuring out how the oils work at the moment so maybe that is user error.
Excellent work!

Ha! Such an interesting blend of unexpected ingredients. I’ve become a fan of these oils in such a short time. I read about them here and went on a shopping extravaganza. I like to use oils along with the perfume of the day. They add uniqueness to the scent.
This one opens sweet and dries into an incense, ethnic like scent that is out of this world. If you haven’t tried these yet, go ahead; you will not regret it.
