Excellent fragrance for the price. It costs 14 USD for the 100 ml in dubai from rasasi store.
Very airy, slightly powdery and light due to the orris roots and the white musk but thick at the same time by the rose and the semi-sweet vanilla.
Pleasant, inoffensive, romantic, chic, safe, good performer and very affordable.

Tasmeem, with G from gem :))…
Bought blindly, following reviews on various internet sites, the Rasasi Tasmeem. The presentation is rather luxuriant for its price. A nice box, a very nice bottle, a good steel cap, and the good taste shapes give Tasmeem an aristocratic appearance.
But the juice inside the bottle… increases this first impression. Tasmeem by Rasasi is an Extraordinary gem (caps lock intentional). A little bit sweet, but not at all nauseous. Spicy and very well blended. Discreet, but strong in its hearth. The opening is divine, but also the drydown. It’s similar to Cartier Declaration, but having much better flavor. I had to choose between Daarej and Tasmeem and I choose Tasmeem because it can be worn also in warm seasons. It has multiple faces. It has an appearance of barbershop fragrance, but also a refined face.
Safe to blind buy. Girls and guys, this perfume outperforms many of the european designer creations. Believe me, I’m a hunter of this kind of perfumes: cheap but awesome. After Al Haramain – Excellent, this is the second gem I found. Amen! 😀
    Smell 10/10
    Longevity 8.5/10
    Sillage 7.5/10
    Overall 9/10 highly recommended!

Would of been one of my favorites if the opening remained throughout the fragrance but sadly is not the case here.

Reminds me of Dareej with a hint of spice, I get the similarities to Kenzo Le Elephant which my wife owns and is an utter monster performer that I love. Tasmeem is very nice I really love it. . Solid stuff from Rasasi, my favorite house. Rasasi is hands down one of my favorite houses next to Jacques Bogart, I own so many from Rasasi, backup bottles too, can’t get enough of their stuff, I hope Rasasi stays on par with what they have released, they have a good thing going on. Tasmeem 10/10 but take that with a grain of salt, I prefer and love over the top in your face spicy and or animalic stuff, pungent and strong so everybody won’t share my taste, Tasmeem is not in your face for me but it is just like a spicy Dareej. I could list many in your face loud unforgiving frags that most people will not like but some will love. Tasmeem is very interesting which is why I love it. I own many bottles of some weird off the wall stuff that my wife hates, I personally don’t care 😉 She prefers designer tastes but I relish in the odd or not so odd well done masterpieces that I adore to sniff so Tasmeem does not follow along those normal lines in a world full of flanker after flanker of recycled trash, Tasmeem is a very good addition to any interesting collection and has it’s own shining qualities that some can really appreciate. In addition, Tasmeem is a beast, anyone who says otherwise is just nuts, it is however a subtle beast with crazy longevity, the scent remains on my skin 20 hours later, although it’s more of an odd powder spice smell it’s still very much there and not faint at all. Tasmeem is very very strong but subtle, that’s what needs to be understood.

beautiful creamy vanilla, nice bottle and its dirt cheap price. I didn’t even smell the cumin note. what else is not to like ??

To start things off, this smells a whole lot like Honey Oud from Floris. But, this one is a tad bit spicier as well as smelling more middle eastern. That being said, this is such a seductive rose and vanilla combo. Please don’t smell it so close to your skin, it comes off smelling like body odor due to the cumin note This bad boy in the air is absolutely gorgeous and last like 9 hours with an amazing projection for 2 hours. I love this one and I regret not picking up another bottle or 2 when it was only 14 bucks on Notino.

This fragrance is really similar to Cartier’s Declaration, but with better scent and performance. It costs less than half of Declaration.
    I do recommend it!

I don’t like disagreeing with reviews as they are pretty subjective. But not sure I can let “Safe, sweet and dull” and “I don’t think it has any [notes]” pass, @jivanshi! Are we talking about the same scent?
Safe… dull: This is a banger. A head turner, and gets a few negative comments as well as plenty of positive ones.
No notes: Try cumin, cardamon and rose which you should be able to smell as soon as you start watching your bottle on Ebay. Lots of others named above.

Rasasi Tasmeem have great presentation. It have eye catching design and its even better in therms of presentation from some of the expensive fragrances out there. Tasmeem have above the average performance for a eau de parfum concentration. The smell of this fragrance is different and can be too strange for beginners. It have spicy, rose opening which goes down after 15 minutes and it becomes more softer vanilla, minty type of a fragrance on top with a hint of spiciness and sophistication on the background. I will give 9/10 for the presentation and 1 point goes down, because the presentation is a bit more fresher spring or summer type of a look, but the actual juice is going in different direction of what this fragrance actually smells like.Speaking of it I personally don’t think that this fragrance is wearable during the summer or even during spring, simply because it can be very strong and too out there for temperature over 15 degrees Celsius, but this only my opinion. For the juice inside i will give 8/10 because its not that versatile and cannot be worn over the all seasons, since this for me is more fall/winter type of a fragrance.

Instead of a review I’m just putting my thoughts. I have Rasasi Dareej for men and I get out off by that cumin note and I’m not able to sell it too.. so I guess just for the cumin note I will pass this one…

This smells great. Performance is on beast mode. The women love it.

  19. :

    4 out of 5

I don’t know to me it smells very feminine. Maybe I got the female version by mistake in this sample. I get heavy florals and rose that really peaks its head through. It has some spice, sweetness but the rose kills it for me. As it dries down it gets better and the spices come through more.. The cumin note in this is used well. Its a nicely composed fragrance that smells classy or sophisticated at times, but its just a little too feminine in the opening for my personal taste. But I must admit I find myself enjoying it more the more it dries down.
For my taste 2/5 as far as scent goes in the opening
3/5, possibly higher for when it dries down.
for an objective score for the scent on its composition. 3.5 or 4 out of five
Performance seems pretty decent but haven’t fully tested..
My guess 3 to 4.5 out of five

One of the best from Rasasi. Lovely opening cardamom blast. Very unique scent. Moderate sillage and lasts from 6 to 8 hours on my skin. Costs $15 here in UAE. For that price, you surely can’t go wrong.

This is Rasasi’s best men’s fragrance in my opinion, despite it being one of their cheapest price-wise. To me, it resembles Burberry Brit – but punchier and with better projection. As with most Rasasi EDPs, the performance is otherworldly. If you don’t like this scent, there’s a high probability you won’t be impressed with any of the brand’s other offerings.
EDIT (March 1st): Disregard my review above. It was based on my experience during the time I was using Tasmeem (2003-ish to 2010). Today, I visited an official Rasasi store for the first time since 2014. They reformulated the crap out of this fragrance, to the point where it bears NO resemblance to the one I distinctly remember. The salesperson confirmed as much. It’s a completely different scent now. No more choc-chip cookie powderiness – just your typical hand sanitizer smell. They also jacked-up the price by exactly two-thirds.
On a separate note, I’ve got some sad news for all you Al Wisam Day/Evening fans. Those two have been watered-down heavily, although the price remains the same.

tried it at the rasasi store and it is one of their cheaper fragrances. the performance is not that great it stays close to the skin and lasts for 3-4 hours but the smell is very good and definitely unique. What i get from this is a nice clean creamy freshness with a hint of sweetness. it performs just like Armani code and smells classy. it is definitely worth the price and better than most designer frags

Wow very different I smell cumin but its minty not BO or bad in anyway was expecting taco or cooking cumin smell. But no cumin very light at opening and becomes a beautiful Rose/Vanilla spicy minty mix as the cumin fades. The vanilla/rose become the main players as it drys down. Very complex and well blended was a blind buy based on reviews. Just sprayed on 10 mins ago or so bit first impressions are wow I like this.

Upon first smelling this I did not like it very much. However, the second day it smelled different and waaaaay better. I don’t know what happened exactly but I have read previously about the first couple sprays of perfumes being misleading, and I have to say that it happened to me with this perfume.
It’s spicy and sweet but not cloying. Definitely a nice scent that got me a complement from a coworker immediately. It projects very well and I am yet to test it’s longevity but it seems to be above average.
Overall, I am happy with the blind buy. Tasmeem and Daarej are really both worth trying and I am loving both. Rasasi continues to be one of my favorite houses so far, I own La Yuqawam pour homme, Al Wisam Day, Daarej, and Tasmeem and they all are high quality.
    Tasmeem:
    Scent 8.5/10
    Projection 8/10
    Longevity is decent

This comes off a little like Dareej with the Cumin, but lighter and a touch of a powdery feel. I assume it is the Orris Root.
The cumin is there in the beginning, but it burns off quick. You are left with a cardamom, vanilla, SLIGHTLY powdery, non cloying non synthetic composition.
What really helps this fragrance is the artemisia. The bush type of bitterness was put into place very nicely to prevent it becoming to sweet. Very inoffensive 5 mins after the cumin goes away, which I don’t mind. As I alluded to before, Dareej cumin note stays longer which also improves the projection and longevity in THAT fragrance.
Back to Tasmeem, it is a very good fragrance and not generic at all compared to Western fragrances. Longevity is 6 hours with 2 hrs approx. of projection on my skin.
In addition, this is an all season fragrance, but I would take it easy on the sprays in hot temps and office settings. All age safe too.
8.5/10 for price, uniqueness (compared to western frags), crowd pleasing, and of COURSE– price.

For $20 this is the bargain of the century when you look at what’s being charged for the same old tired line of citrus aquatic department store retreads.
Tasmeem does start out with that blast of cumin but that settles down quickly and it becomes a fantastic spicy vanilla to my nose. I suppose there’s a hint of rose in there but it’s hard to detect. Either way there’s something, maybe the cumin, that keeps it from being just a straight vanilla. $20 is a steal. Just my opinion of course.

It is a very sweet powdery rose+vanilla perfume IMO. Definitely unisex for me. Call it as a sweet vanilla rose powder. Longevity is definitely 6 to 8 hours. Sillage is little below average. Bottle design is good. Wear it on the evening. With this am not having a feeling that i sprayed perfume over me, it makes me feel like i just applied powder on me. For the Price it is good but too powdery. Overall 6.25/10.

As I wear this cologne, people around me usually tell me they can smell it. To my nose it smells like powdery, flowery, and even slightly soapy. Not in a bad way, this cologne to me is a definite unisex cologne. I get a good 7-8 hours out of it, the sillage is a couple of feet of distance. The powder is the strongest note I keep getting from Tasmeem. I spray my body with a good 6-8 sprays after a shower, then right before I walk out the door to go to work I re-spray my chest and neck with a few more ontop of my clothes. I can still smell the cologne when I am on my drive home. 8 hours baby.
If you are looking for a powdery, soapy, flowery fragrance, that in fact reminds me of a perfumy smell, then this is your grab. I am not disappointed that I have this cologne, but i’m not going to buy a second bottle.
    Hope this helps!

Tasmeem’s beauty will definitely depend on skin chemistry. On my skin it is a versatile fresh spicy, mild soapy, balsamic, sensual and very aromatic perfume. Tasmeem is dominated by tonka bean (top to heart) but made refined with other notes. The rose and artemisia were merely a support yet so well done that it’s giving more depth to the composition. The spices are just right and didn’t exude any body odor vibe. There is a faint powdery smell (must be from the musk, vanilla and tonka) but how the powder essence mixes with the sweetness of Amber, sandalwood and patchouli, tamed it.
It is a complex smell but never heavy. There is a soft barbershop and a little soapy feel to it, It is also quite synthetic. There are phases in this scent journey that reminded me of Bond no. 9 Riverside Drive, Creed Original Santal and finally, a prominent patchouli-vanilla dry down that is similar with Jean Paul G. Le Male. This can be the Le Male niche version if it was made less synthetic. Versatile indeed for all seasons and occasions. But I must agree, can be very challenging on other wearers due to the spices, tonka and musk.
If Tasmeem works for you, it can easily become a men and women pleaser. Despite the similarities with other perfumes, Tasmeem is a wonderful addition to your wardrobe. Projection and longevity are top notch too. 8/10

My bottle of the much heralded Tasmeem arrived yesterday so I wore it last night and again today. I’m one of those people who have difficulty with cumin and this fragrance opens with a huge blast of it. However, it largely subsides after a few minutes but is always present. I have Rasasi Dareej (a somewhat similar kind of a Oriental Spicy) and the cumin in that one is intolerable to my sense and gave me a light skin rash. Moreover, I experienced that “This smells like Bleu de Chanel” moment but it was fleeting, at best, as this fragrance has more of a waxy vibe slightly reminiscent of Lanvin Avant Garde throughout the mid and drydown.
I enjoyed wearing this fragrance and, other than the opening, the cumin didn’t get out-of-control. However, I did not love Tasmeem and found it a bit challenging to wear. On one hand, it has a lightly-sweet, fresh, playful side. On the other hand, it also has a waxy, ambery, powdery, spiced-rose and tonka bean side that is a bit too heavy to be a warm-weather scent. My feeling was that I prefer wearing other fresh fragrance over Tasmeem, and Avant Garde does this waxy-spicy vibe much better.
Performance is descent in that Tasmeem lasted around 6-hours on my skin and projected moderately. Moreover, if one sniffs their skin directly they’ll probably smell a some of that cumin BO…but it’s just a subtle spiced accord if one were to smell it a foot or more off their arm. I don’t know if this will be well-received by the ladies, but I didn’t receive a single compliment in my two wearings. I’ll update, as needed. Overall, I like it but someone had better be comfortable with cumin if they purchase a bottle.
Update: it has been more than year since I purchased this fragrances and I am like it more and more with every wearing; a strong like.

Another review for fragrantica readers of one of my rose scents in time for Valentines day. Rasasi Tasmeem for men is a Tropicana rose. The Tropicana is an absolute classic but like many off patent roses that sell for a reasonable prices, it comes with challenges. The Tropicana is one of those roses that rose fans always want to grow … once. Its vigorous, blooms a lot and is beautiful, and it changes but the leaves will mildew on you with ease. Tasmeem like Tropicana is a warm rose and it creeps over to the salmon – orange side of the rose ledger.
Tasmeem is a challenge to figure out. It changes and it comes and it goes. It has cumin in it and I know that it can be off putting to some and enjoyable to others and cumin is a controversial note in fragrances. Actually I like cumin and would recommend this fragrance to others who do as well. What I think is going on is that the oils from the rose get absorbed into the skin but the spices sit on top of it. As a result, this is one of those fragrances that is going to give people different looks depending on how and when they wear it. I have worn this one a bit and I enjoy it best when I am not in any danger of perspiring and activating the spices and the cumin.
For me it is a winter scent only with rare usage potential on colder days in late fall and early spring. I will be retiring it to the winter season shelf soon as I bring the spring and summer scents to the front shelf. Wear this in the summer at your own peril. But hey … do what you want. The rose is this scent is lovely. And I think the blend is good. The different notes dance around and give you varied looks and notice and as many times as I have worn this, I still get surprised a bit each new time that I do. Tasmeem is a very warm rose for winter use and will completely give you different looks depending on temperature, perspiration, heavy or light spray usage, wind, and a variety of other factors. With the spice sitting on the skin and the rose glowing inside of it, I think of this as a scent for a Quinceanera. You have warmth of family and love, and roses, and spicy foods, and music and dancing and warmth and happiness. Tasmeem is a celebration for a cold season.
Performance and sillage is hard to rate. This fragrance comes and goes and it is easy to over spray. Its almost hard to smell on yourself but it easily noticeable to others. I can smell this better after 16 hours than I can 8. I put this on wear it all day and wake up and it smells better on waking than it did the day before midday. I think this is one of those guys where the nose gets anosmic to it and yet its still soldiering onward and you wake up and there it is again. It is easy to wear, easy to like, doesn’t get complaints but not really a stand out compliment getter. The rose is inviting and warm and gets in your skin while the spices kind of dust around the surface and are noticeable at times and blown to the wind at others. Make no mistake, if you are perspiring, even a little bit, that cumin and those spices will stick to you and this is a different fragrance when they start glowing and covering up the rose.
My usage of this fragrance has been strong. I believe that people “usually” should not review a scent unless they have become acquainted with it. I do not like reviews from a one time use of a .5 ml sample. Sometimes a fragrance will shift around on you a bit and it takes time to get to know it. Tasmeem is one of them. The Tropicana rose will give you a lot of different looks. Sometimes its a warm orange, sometimes a delicate apricot, and other times almost a pinkish salmon orange. Tasmeem is a different fragrance in winter than it is in summer, or in night versus day or rainy versus dry. I wear this fragrance a lot. And I enjoy it. Its fair to say that my bottle has a big dent in it from use. However, once my bottle is done which is not too far along in the future. Tasmeem will be but a memory. I do not want a backup bottle of it and I would not want to replace it. Tasmeem is like a trip to Disney World where you leave a day early before you see it all and you remember it with fondness; but when you stay a day extra and it becomes touristy to you that it leaves a sour taste. I want Tasmeem to end early when it still a bit new and kicky.
For value, it must be accorded as excellent. Fragrantica lists Rasasi as a Niche Designer. I expect Niche to retail for under $50 an ounce and Designer to live around $20 an ounce. I bought my bottle for just over $20 which means it lives in the $7 an ounce range or about 30% less than I would expect to pay for budget or drugstore scents. To buy a quality niche fragrance for a 30% discount to what you could expect to spend for a budget scent is fabulous. It is however hard to find and you pretty much would have to blind buy should you want to try it. I hate to admit it but I have spent more on certain samples here and there than I did on a full bottle of this fragrance. I really do not know whether to put this house in budget, designer, or niche. It kind of cuts across all of them. But who cares really about labels? This is one of the best buys you will find in the sub $10 an ounce fragrance world.
Overall, I am going to rate this one at 83. It crosses the line into being a good fragrance but doesn’t quite get to a solid B and yet is a little bit better than a B-. Its a couple ticks below Cartier Declaration D’un Soir to me but is really getting a good rating from me when you consider that I am placing it a tick ahead of Bleu de Chanel. Some of this rating is price and performance rather than smell. But sometimes, Id rather smell good at the movies with a friend than smell good at home with a dvd rental alone. Tasmeem is a worthy purchase that I am glad that I made.
The Tropicana is a funny rose. It is one of those roses that every rose fan knows about and is a classic. It is big, has good repeat blooms and is all over the place and surprising in the variety of looks that it gives you. Its easy to buy and easy to grow. But the thing about it is that it is a very thirsty rose. And yet its prone to mildew. It seems to do best in dry desert gardens where you can water the soil but still keep moisture off the leaves. And it is a rose that can require more care than the others.
Tasmeem is much like the Tropicana. It gives you a very different look than most roses. While many rose fragrances these days look for symbiosis with oud or vanilla or some kind of wood to distract from the attar of the rose, Tasmeem goes in a different direction with a spicy mexican gourmand type of rose or perhaps that of a middle eastern bazaar.
There is something very beautiful about the rose in Tasmeem and exotic in the taste of its presentation and outlying warmness. It is a rose for winter as it reminds you of spice and heat. Still, you might want to consider being careful with this one. It is beautiful but it comes with care and caveat. Perhaps you might find that it works best when you let the rose shine and the spices compliment the fragrance lightly dusted on the skin when you can keep perspiration from mildewing the spice.

Tasmeem comes in a beautiful bottle and packaging. I was praying this would work out for me…..it didn’t.
    WHY ?
All I get is a light synthetic vanilla reminiscent of Salvatore Ferragamo F Black.
Performance is a little below average.
At $18 who cares but still wasted money and a disappointment.
This will become an expensive air freshener.

All my neanderthal nose gets is B.O. being hastily covered up with nice deodorant in a hot country.
    Evocative, I know!

The opening is a cumin bomb! Thank god it only last about 4-5 minutes. Then it settles down to a pleasant combination of vanilla and tonka bean with a great hint of musk that creeps up on you. Smells unique and i can easily see this as a nice night out fragrance in cooler weather.

When I started my fragrance collecting journey, I wanted to find scents that weren’t popular. My mindset was to find scents that I would not smell on everyone else. When i stumbled on the Middle Eastern House of Rasasi I was blown away.
Tasmeem is a beautiful scent. Be warned though, its sweet and the cumin may be off putting to some. I’ve come to find some are extra sensitive to this note. The combination of notes however work really well to create a very unique sweet scent. One concern i had when looking at the notes was the ROSE. I was going to blind buy this and a rose done well is amazing but a lot of rose notes in frags can be much. it can be mature lady feminine and annoying to my nose. But to my surprise I smell and love the rose in this scent. U know its there but it never takes center stage and its presence actually enhances the smell. Its like a talented backup singer who knows their role. THIS IS A TYPICAL SIGN OF A VERY WELL BLENDED FRAG and i would dare to say it’s certainly niche quality.
It performs reasonably well…It lasted 7-8 hours on my skin and projected for about 3-4 hours which for me is ideal. It is a Parfum concentration which actually means it under-performs for what it is though. I would expect a stronger concentrated scent since its a Parfum but maybe its lack of beastliness is a good thing. If it projected too much it could lean too much towards the Feminine and might be cloying. For me, its performance is perfect…No where near weak and won’t choke out a room when you enter it. People will notice this amazing frag though. You can also wear this scent year round. Its versatility is great. Some will say this can’t be worn in the summer but id beg to differ. On summer nights out this scent works.
If ur a guy who doesn’t like sweet scents you will not like this. And if you hate CUMIN u will really hate this scent. However if you are a guy who loves sweet spicy scents u have to try this. It will probably be one of the most unique designer scents in your collection.
This scent is one of my favorites in my collection. I would discuss its price but it’s so low that merely bringing it up will put it in the “CHEAPIE” class…I hate that classification because not every niche scent is great and not every inexpensive scent is bad. But when one thinks of something as cheap, it many times automatically becomes devalued. But quite simply there are scents 5x’s more that cant hold a candle to this scent. Rasasi doesn’t have to conform to the IFRA so the quality of their scents are many times more natural than typical scents within its price range. I highly recommend sampling this.

This scent is very similar to things u smell in your everyday life, especially here, in the Arab world. Good Job, but not my type Rasasi.

I’ve just written a review for Rasasi Daarej where I compare it to Tasmeem, so I would recommend you to read also that to get more information.
I purchased this for a recommendation by Deetron and I fully agree with him. This is really good, man! 😀
It’s sweet, creamy and spicy. It’s very well mixed, everything blend together nicely and the result is fantastic. It’s a very very nice and pleasurable scent, with good sillage and longevity. If you blind buy this, you can’t go wrong (I suppose that even if you don’t like it, it will be really easy to find someone who does).
I find it more spicy and fresh than Daarej, so it would be more suitable to day-wearing and would be perfect for spring-summer-fall (longevity and projection is so good that you shouldn’t use it only on summer). Here the vanilla and tonka bean are much less prominent. Cumin, cardamom and patchouli are more potent and that’s why this is more spicy than Daarej. In both of them I sense a powdery effect, probably caused by the orris root (powdery iris?), and women love powdery male scents! The rose note is also more identifiable than in Daarej, but it’s not the main accord. It’s just present to richen the blend in a very good way.
The sillage is between moderate and heavy for me, and the duration is very good (long lasting, up to 12h). From the tests I’m doing, I think this lasts more than Daarej.
The bottle is stunning, and the box is very nice (impressive contrast between textures and cut-outs). Beautiful glass bottle, painted in the back, with a very heavy metallic cap of good quality. On the top of the cap there is a plastic decoration with false jewels representing a design also seen on the box. This makes it visually attractive and eye-catching, so it can be perfect as a gift for someone you love.
Since I’ve also bought this for 20€ (100ml EDP), I can safely conclude that this also offers very good value for money. It’s very fresh and comforting and smells really good (I love it!). And it’s very well done: it’s not cloying and it’s not a beast (perhaps to make it more “wearable”). I’m more into beast fragrances, but this has been a really good purchase. Highly recommended!

Rasasi Tasmeem Men is a really wonderful fragrance!
To my nose it’s somewhere between Rochas Man and Thierry Mugler A*Men, maybe 70% Rochas Man and 30% A*Men. Tasmeem Men don’t have the cappuccino note like Rochas Man, but shares the same elegant and sweet seductive aroma without being cloying or overwhelming.
Tasmeem Men starts with spicy notes in a very appealing and masculine way. The interesting thing here is that the opening is not very loud unlike many other fragrances which start really powerful for a
