“While many fougères bring to mind death and decay, Sylva was created to evoke the feeling of spring in bloom in the Missouri Rhinelands, a region along the Missouri River full of rich flora and vegetation, forests and multi-generation vineyards founded by the 19th-century German settlers in the region. 

The bright green and floral design has deceptively brooding undertones, however, with the smell of sturdy trees, moss and smoke lie underneath. They come together to create a wholly unique take on a genre with a long history, inspired by settlers bringing the ancient traditions of their homeland and adapting them to create a new community that infuses the old and the new to create something entirely new.” – a note from the brand.
