Oh, what memories! This was my first perfume I think. This is exactly the name, sweet innocence. Its sweet but delicate, airy, light, girly. Its beautiful. I’ve always loved it. And I still keep a bottle in my bathroom closet.

This was my first perfume, and until today when I started reading these reviews, I always thought it was for children. Hmmm… if it still smells good on me, maybe I should wear it again.

I was walking home from coffee with an old friend when I found a “free” box by the side of the road. To my utter astonishment, it contained five bell-shaped Avon bottles WITH perfume still in them. In addition, there were lead-crystal bowls and I grabbed two of those as well.
The scent may have degraded a lot, but the musk held up to the test of time. It smells harsh when first coming out of the bottle, but after the alcohol evaporates, it’s just powdery. I asked my husband if it was alright without telling him what it was and he said it was fine.

This was my first ever fragrance. I Wore it in Syria around 2002. Very musky and sweet but not offensive. I wore it in middle school but I’m thinking of repurchasing it for the sake of memories.

I used this in jr high school so I like to wear it every now and then to remind me of my childhood. It was my 1st fragrance. A soft powdery clean scent.

musk with some powdery florals, mainly LOTV and would guess there’s iris or orris in here

From what I remember, this is the fragrance that I’ve been wearing the longest of any I’ve encountered since my childhood and I’m in my late 40s. My former neighbor lady was an Avon salesperson and she used to bring over lots of fun samples and older products, saying she didn’t want them. My younger sister and I thought that was a wonderful treat! That is how I first discovered Sweet Honesty. I loved the old retro box and bottle with the artwork reminiscent of a sunrise (or maybe sunset.) So I got to wear SH a lot throughout my childhood as it was gifted to us by our neighbor lady. Now decades later, I would say this is my all-time favorite perfume. With my history of it I would say it’s one of only 2 perfumes out of hundreds that I own that do not annoy me even a tiny little bit. It’s one that I feel genuinely comfortable wearing, so I reach for it frequently. It’s one of the few fragrances that I’ve repurchased multiple times. Sweet Honesty is like a whisper, or maybe a soft echo, of fragrance in a world of sweet gourmands that often make me feel a little sick. It is especially refreshing after a shower and before bedtime. This is a wonderful sleeping fragrance, also for hanging around the house in your pajamas, reading and watering your plants, or whatever. For me it just brings back pleasant memories of easier times, and it will always have a place in my collection. I have to wonder though, since it’s been rebottled in the last year or two, does it seem “weaker” somehow than it used to? I seem to notice a change, as I have with other Avon classics in the new bottles.

Heerlijk parfum. Ik kreeg deze toen ik iets van 9 jaar oud was ofzo. Het bijna lege flesje heb ik nog altijd bewaard. Deze is van geblokt glas. Erg mooi

God it is so annoYong when someone replies to someone else’s comment, and the original comment is deleted. Anyway, this is a nice basic powdery scent. I have the deodorant and it’s a great replacement for you secret protecting powder. It doesn’t clash with the perfume your wearing, because face it, powdery notes match with anything

Kalios55 your review used the words “smells like old hags”. You know, here on fragrantica we try not to offend. Geez, I didn’t know there was a term more derogatory than old lady perfume.
You will be an old hag one day. Remember that.

I purchased this for my 10 year old. I love it, she doesn’t. She thinks it smells like powder. That’s what I enjoy about it. Very clean sweet powdery scent. Perfect for all ages. I wear it around the house and would definitely wear it on a Summer day.

I believe that I have commented on this perfume previously. It seems that I compared it to “L’Air du Temps” a classic perfume. I see that there have been recent comparisons to another classic; but, less expensive perfume; “Love’s Baby Soft.” I have worn both “Love’s Baby Soft” and “Sweet Honesty” since High School. I think they were both introduced at about the same time in the 1970’s. The main difference between the two is that “Love’s Baby Soft” has patchouli and lavender. “Sweet Honesty” does not; as it has honey and is more musky, I think. I can no longer wear patchouli or lavender as both give me headaches. “Sweet Honesty” is now basically my signature scent; although I am at least a few years from my high school days. Actually, I have spoken to many who have sold Avon who say that they almost get chased down so they can purchase “Sweet Honesty.” It is a clean and as the title suggests an “Honest” scent. It is also not offensive in my estimation in any way. I use the fragrance spray, the deodorant and the skin softening cream. Powder makes me sneeze; so I don’t use it. I do wish that Avon would make purse sizes of all the “modes” of fragrance. I also wish very much they would make a shower gel or body wash in “Sweet Honesty.” I would definitely use it for special occasions at least. I would be upset if Avon discontinued “Sweet Honesty.” There see to be some fragrance makers who routinely discontinue even their popular fragrances or change the “notes” and yet still keep it with the same name. Avon has a winner here. In my mind, I associate “Sweet Honesty” with the brand name, Avon. Yet, I imagine it is not the fragrance for every person. Aah! the Beauty of Diversity. Once I picked up a picture that says “I am not beautiful like you. I am beautiful like me!” Some days, it is so hard to remember that. I wish that thought for everyone tonight and all days and nights.

This perfume is one of the first ones that I had when I was in Middle School, and although I moved on from this and Love’s Baby Soft rather quickly, I revisited it as an adult because smells like youth and innocence, and the early 80s, to me. I like to occasionally use it before bed.
Although they came out around the same time period (this was first), I don’t think it smells like Love’s Baby Soft (though there are some similarities). This one is a soft, musky, honeyed, gentle rosey floral. I also like the ads for this much better than Love’s, which were super creepy (they turned it around in the 80s with some better advertising when I was old enough to wear it, however). The ones for Sweet Honesty were sweet, they didn’t venture into 70s creepy- territory, I don’t believe. Pam Dawber was in some of the earlier ones.
However, I just wanted to mention that Avon recently updated the bottles, and I don’t know if they have tweaked the fragrance or not. It always worries me when they make changes like that, changes in packaging sometimes mean scent tweaks to appeal to a more “modern” audience. The notes listed are as follows, not sure if there are any changes here, or if the ones in these new bottles smell the same or not:
    aldehydes, citrus
jasmine, rose, geranium, lily of the valley, sweet honey
    benzoin, sandalwood, vanilla, musk

This will always be a classic scent for me, though somewhat dated, because they remind me of specific periods in my life. I first smelled this in high school, when it was worn by a teacher of mine. Then years later, I wore it in that single school year that I was a high school teacher myself. I received it as a gift, but couldn’t remember from whom. My year as a freshman and sophomore grammar teacher at an exclusive all-girls school was one of the most unpleasant — if not the most — in my life (teaching is NOT for me), so for that reason, though Sweet Honesty is a lovely scent, I would not wear it again.
Because it reminds me of these times, I always think of Sweet Honesty as a “teacher” scent. It is soft and lovely, wholesome and clean, a lightly sweet floral with a powdery finish (young lady powder, not baby powder). It is an innocent scent suitable for a young lady, but may also be a younger girl’s first real perfume.

I have a little snowman full of Sweet Honesty from the late 70’s that my grandparents used as a Christmas decoration since forever and I believe the version that’s in this bottle is musky enough to be unisex compared to a new bottle I’ve smelled. It’s a very enjoyable fragrance and I like it.

ugh, I wish this smelled powdery on me like it does out of the bottle, but on my skin it is a ghastly bug sprayish smell, no baby powder at all, after about an hour I had to wash it off.
Edit: It’s been roughty a year since this review, good news, I gave my rollerball another chance. Perhaps, I had to give it a good shake or dab it a few times, but it now smells powdery on my wrists. It is wonderful!. Just a couple of dabs is needed and lasts as least a good 4 hours. I might try the skin softener now. I like to wear it on a lazy sunday, and dab all my pulse points. love the rollerball, its good for easing into a scent.

sweet at first…..dries to vanilla bomb , I’m guessing ‘honey’ but smells like all the rest of the Rit Aid fragrances that smell like vanilla. Gross. used a box of wipies to wash off.

A slightly dusty, custard rose with a kick of salt. I feel like the mineral quality in “Sweet Honesty” is more salt like than baby powder-esque and the notes don’t come together in a way that screams “baby!” as much as “After bath powder!” There even seems to be a little distant hint of moss in there that adds a tweedy, opaque hint of sophistication to a scent that might have otherwise been too linear and sweet for most non-babies.
The addition of honey nectar gives the whole thing a slightly carnal/solar musk, hazy quality that feels nostalgic and intimate. I always feel like honey adds a golden warmth to scents that keep them grounded and personal and that’s what makes this simple, sweet little rose and lily of the valley scent more than just fresh; it feels lived in, languid and the honey note adds a sort of soft focus lens cast to memories while you’re wearing it.
As for the aesthetic, the one that comes to mind for me with “Sweet honesty” is the same one that the old packaging design jogs my mind with: I think of early eighties “hero” films and actresses like Judi Bowker in “Clash of The Titans (1981)”, with her dusty pink and purple pastel costumes, curiously and historically inaccurately woven from man-made cloth. Or Olivia D-Abo in “Conan The Destroyer”, wearing her silver lame, leftover disco gowns that were somehow meant to evoke an ancient world where frosted pink lipstick could be produced on demand. Even Princess Leia from “Star Wars” would be compatible with “Sweet Honesty”. Only at the more reserved moments of performing her Princess duties, of course.
For some reason, “Sweet Honesty” just communicates that short cultural time period of side braids and jersey pastels transported to a sci-fi or fantasy cinema world to me. I love its versatility and simplicity but with a distinctive, retro feel which is enough of a novelty in and of itself and just challenging enough to make this simple, classic floral, interesting but not unwearable for a casual environment.
I love it and love that it’s still easily available and perennially affordable. Great option for fragrance lovers with scent sensitive family members and co-workers.

So, I’ve had this little snow man floating around my Christmas decorations for years and before that it was at my Grandparents house. This year while putting them away I notice it had a fragrance in it and after looking online apparently it’s Sweet Honesty. I’m sure I have smelled many times because it’s very familiar almost comforting. I grew up with five aunts around all the time in the 70’s/early80’s and it’s possible one of them wore this or maybe my mother or grandmother at one time.

Ughhh, why do I initially pick up only on powder!? J&J-Baby-Powder-powder that hangs around for at least a hour, all the while making my stomach turn… Then finally, it changes chemistry and turns into a very musky floral with hints of honey. It’s very comforting, subtle and feminine. I blindly bought this after frantically trying to figure out what perfume my grandma wore while growing up. It was impossible that she wore Clean Blossom, which smells dead on “her” in my memories, so it was suggested that it was maybe Sweet Honesty as she was a huge Avon fan. I just so happen to be an Avon Lady now and SH is still being sold over 40 years later! Today is my first day attempting to wear it and I just couldn’t resist layering CB over it to relieve me of the powder so I’m not judging this very fairly. I do plan on ordering the skin cream and deodorant to see if that helps bring out more of the notes I love so much in this frag.

They relaunched Sweet Honesty as an EdT in Brazil and it is such an incredible perfume on me. Musky honey with a flowery background (hyacinth, rose and LOTV), uplifting, brings a cleanliness that screams fresh out of the bath with a very expensive floral soap and a honeyed body cream. Delightful, 5 to 6 hours longevity with soft sillage, exceptional for really hot days, I have no words to convey how I love Sweet Honesty on my skin.It has no aldehydes, a simple , humble and beautiful scent.

I have only ever used the body cream but I love this! My cool Aunt Mary used to give me Avon in the mid 90s when I was a pre teen. This always smelled clean, comforting and lovely to me. I often wear it to bed. Idk if the perfume is any different but I core the cream and also Haiku.

Im testing a vintage mini, looks from the 80´s. Nice perfume, very nice and I am very surprized once more by these Avon vintages. I like it because it is not overly strong, or overly sweet,as it is fresh at the same time. It is a nice fresh young scent. Not many scents have made it along 43 years. My vintage is not so powdery really, more green floral with a sweet tone, but not too too sweet.. Yes I note the honey hyacinth musk tones, with the slight lemon and lily of the valley also. Hyacinth is strongest to me, with honey second and musk third, then lily and citrus fresh.
This stuff is so cheap on eby the old stuff, one could put in a spray bottle and use for room freshener before a special event, or before a wedding in the church. Many have said they feel it is a nice clean smell.

SWEET HONESTY was another very inexpensive blind buy from the Avon website during a sale last year – one of those sales where you can purchase the fragrance spray plus the matching products for practically nothing. I was exploring a few “golden oldies” that I hadn’t previously tried and this one has been offered since 1973.
This is a modest, soapy floral with hints of musk and spiced honey. It’s not my usual sort of thing, but I’m sometimes in the mood for a quiet scent. Unfortunately, on me, the soapy note tends to predominate, especially in warmer weather. For this reason, I kept going back and forth between the “like” and “dislike” buttons above and finally decided to leave it blank. The sillage here is stronger than you might think and the longevity is good.

  27. :

On me, it starts out with more spicy/peppery notes than I expected. And there wasn’t any powdery dry-down for me either. All trace of scent disappears within an hour. Don’t get me wrong, I really like Sweet Honesty. I just wish it didn’t smell so rough around the edges on my skin, had some kind of fresh powder smell to it, and had some longevity. Alas, Avon is Avon. I like to spray it on my warm sweaters and on my freshly changed bed sheets.

I know I compared the tops to what I said was my other favorite perfume, “L’Air Du Temps. I like “L’Air du Temps” and do appreciate the perfumer’s desire with the dove references for peace after WWII, I rather think I agree with the reviewer who wrote just after me yesterday. There is something special about this perfume that not even the great “L’Air du Temps” can capture. In my opinion, Avon has not since the creation of Sweet Honesty been able to create a perfume that can even compare or come close to its gentle sweetness. And, it can make you “feel like a girl” without the stinky fruit or gourmand perfumes so popular now. Thank you.

People will think I am crazy, but I rather prefer Sweet Honesty and its sophisticated simplicity to L’Air Du Temps on my skin.

This is probably one of my favorite and most enduring perfumes. I do think, however, and I believe someone else said it either about this perfume or another Avon perfume that Avon is not truly forthcoming on listing their notes in their perfume. I do believe that they are more forthcoming on their website. Here, it is listed as Floral. Avon, also lists it as floral. They also list it as more earthy and casual. I think, although, it is not listed here and I will again check their website, that there is also a citrus and spicy note. Along with the floral notes, the vanilla, and particularly the honey note is why this perfume works so well for so many and why it has been so popular for over forty years and like other Avon perfumes, has never been dropped from its being sold. Of course, it is now considered a “classic” and has a new bottle. It is sleeker, so it fits in your purse very well, but like another favorite of mine, L’Air du temps, the top falls off. Thank you.

All through my 1980s childhood, there were pretty pink jars of lotion my grandmother would put on me. I recently wondered what it was and someone told me it was probably Sweet Honesty. I ordered the skin softening cream, powder, deodorant, and spray perfume. It was indeed the cream in the mysterious pink jar. (The jar isn’t the pretty round shape I remember. It is now simplified to resemble a small plastic pink tub of Noxema). The antiperspirant deodorant is outstanding in preventing odor and wetness and is a true powder scent similar to how Secret Powder Fresh used to smell before it wa reformulated. My husband asked if I was wearing a honey perfume when I was just wearing the deodorant and that was 6 hours after I apply it! The skin softening cream smells similar to Nivea skin cream, which is comforting. The powder is talc free and made my skin so silky. I wore the spray without layering it once and it has no detectable smell. I think to truly experience Sweet Honesty, one should get the cream, powder, and especially the deodorant. If you get the spray and it fades like it does on me, you will be out $3! It is worth the risk though. I am wearing this at age 33 in 2016 and all I get is compliments that I smell nice. I have to be in a small office one on one with people for my work and this is a light, safe retro scent. Some retro scents (especially Avon’s) are so strong I would never imagine them for casual day use; but this is different. Some people said it is like Love’s Baby Soft. I smell the comparison, but Sweet Honesty has more integrity and lasting power if you use the body products and not just the spray. Also, if you tire of modern fruit scents, I understand it is difficult to find a non-fruit perfume that does not clash with our typical modern fruity scented shampoos. Sweet Honesty compliments my bath products.

I first smelled this in an Avon catalogue. I remember the model: innocent, huge smile on her face, curly hair, adoring boyfriend at her side (I’m talking about the ad in the catalogue). I liked the smell, but didn’t think about it again. I was a kid then and buying perfumes was not my number 1 priority in life. Hahaha!
Fast forward to when I was in college and I caught a waft of wind sweeping through my best friend’s hair! Immediately, I saw that ad in the catalogue all over again! So I asked her what perfume she was wearing, and sure enough, it was Sweet Honesty! This particular scent has the power to capture the vision of the fragrance, lock that vision in the mind, and keep it there for years and years and years! Until you smell it again in a totally different situation!!!
As a result, I ended up thinking that my best friend was the prettiest girl in the world! Just because I caught that waft of wind! I didn’t think that about her before that fateful windy moment, though! Totally altered my perception of her, which wasn’t cool (should have been cool, but wasn’t) because she turned out to be more of a bitch than her fragrance would have me believe!
If you want to fool people into thinking you are the prettiest, most innocent girl around, then go for this perfume. Hopefully, you’re not a bitch!

Like many here, this is a nostalgic one for me. It’s a nice, soft floral, perfect for young girls. As an older lady now, I can still use it as it’s understated rather than too “bubblegum,” if a little light for my tastes. I think there used to be a slightly different (and better) formula, though.

This was such a popular scent in the 70s. My sister and I discovered it when our “cool” babysitter was wearing it. I see it’s still available, but I think at 54 I’d like something else better.

The label looks like a logo from a bad 1970s science fiction movie wherein human reproduction has been outlawed EXCEPT by some EVIL corporation that will pay you 10 million dollars to have a baby and give it up to them.
I think there is a screenplay in this and the scent of this wretched Avon potion ………. oh dear God…..
like drowning in a river of gooey baby oil …and not a branch to cling onto !

Total bedtime perfume. I got it one night after feeling nostalgic after talking to my childhood best friend who always wore it. Doesn’t last long. But I’ll buy again to spray on for bed and on my pillow. It’s very calming.

Sweet Honesty and Sweet Sixteen Birthdays go together. Every girl who turns sweet sixteen should have an Avon Sweet Honesty, Dana Heaven Scent or Loves Baby Soft perfume. I remember wearing this when I was sixteen in high school. Funny though, I remember receiving compliments only from other girls, not boys. I guess the boys were too afraid to say anything. Lol. Yes this fragrance takes me back to the days of innocent, choices and milestones. Yes, this is a very pretty delicate sweet floral, like all young women are or should be.

  38. :

Very baby powder scented but with a sweeter more feminine twist. I wore this a lot in the 90s and I loved it back then. I keep a new bottle around for nostalgic purposes.
Many have said that the new formulation doesn’t compare to the classic formulation of this from the 80s and 90s but I just think our noses have changed and so have our taste in fragrance.
I continue to like this though. I wear it occasionally after a shower as it smells so clean and fresh cotton-like. It’s easy to wear and inoffensive.

  39. :

Sweet Honesty is a delightful, sexy but clean fragrance, with a blend of white musk, honey and very powdery, sweet florals (especially in the drydown). There is just a light touch of fresh lemon, too.
This is one of the first fragrances I received as a gift, when I was a young teen (in a “Fuzzy Bunny” decanter!).
Longevity and sillage are moderate (they can be improved by layering with the various matching scented products).
This fragrance is suitable for daytime wear, and can be “office-safe” if applied lightly.

I got the vintage purse concentre roll-on perfume. And I must say, this is pure musky baby powder scent. Innocent, fresh, sweet, honest, etc. It’s nice for everyday wear and It reminds me of Spring. The honey is strong on me though. I’m not really into honey scent but this one is tampered with lots of musk so overall it’s not sugary sweet. Really nice.

  41. :

    4 out of 5

First impression spray in the air is pure baby butt, in my honest opinion. We’ll see what the future holds…
Once Sweet Honesty blended with my chemistry it was a pleasant surprise. Gentle, subtle, highlighting my sweet teen, girly innocence (I was born ’81). Safe for work even if your boss is a fragrance hater like mine. She didn’t comment on it, but if she did, I could have just said I’d taken a bath with baby oil. Of course, that wouldn’t be a great example of sweet honesty… I’m just saying this scent is a safe bet, a welcomed presence, even around sensitive noses. One co-worker said it reminded him of Schlitterbahn (a giant water park here in Texas)! A comfort scent (even if you weren’t born yet when it was popular).
Cont: Call me crazy, but to my nose Sweet Honesty is kind of like Chanel no 5 Eau Premiere Extra Light! No wonder they’re both favorites of mine. Checking the notes, they only share vanilla and rose; who knows.
P.S. Not the 2015 remake, I pressed that one by mistake.

  42. :

    Innocent.
I wore it as my first perfume when i was a teenager. But back then, almost half of my class is wearing this scent too.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

The first spray is pure soap, like the white powdered soap in public bathrooms. It turns a little softer, more floral, a little spicy, but throughout the drydown it smells unmistakably sudsy on my skin.
It is very pleasant and unobtrusive, and I imagine suitable for almost every occasion. While I prefer my scent to make a statement, this is perfect for just playing with the rats.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

To me , Sweet Honesty feels like the smell of cleanliness, of a prolonged shower, of honey musk with hyacinth and lily of the valley and just a bit of lemon to tart it up, a high quality soap with natural ingredients. It was what I expected Glow to be. Unfortunately in Brazil it is much diluted and the longevity is dismal, it is only a skin scent. I use it as an after shower cologne splash. Great scent that has not aged an iota.

  45. :

Such nostalgia oozes from this. Light, soft, romantic, and fresh with a gentle powder caress. This could easily be a young girls first perfume. As it fades down it gets even better, a heady, floating musky rose. Truly delightful, I love it. Very easy to wear for any age.

  46. :

    3 out of 5

The benzoin keeps it from being perfect. That note ruins this and many others for me. However, it’s still nice enough and for $10 there is nothing to complain about. This will only ever be a bedtime, after the bath kind of fragrance for me. Lots of powder and musk. Anything that powdery seems appropriate for bedtime only. The dry down really highlights the honey which is very nice.

  47. :

Even though this scent is very inexpensive, I LOVE IT! It’s a nice powdery musk like smell. I love to spritz this on after I take a shower ready to go out in the summer after spending a day at the beach or pool. It just smells fresh and innocent!

Konga 5000, if you’re going to make a thing about it, maybe you should check on the dates properly, then you’d realise that AVON brought this perfume out in 1973, and 1 year later it was copied by LBS… 1974
And EC from DC, its nice to know that a perfume you thought of as cheap, unimpresive and plain, was deemed satisfactory for your mother, and second-hand at that…..you must really love and appreciate her.

Extreme Musk and Powdery scent….that’s all I smell.
It’s ok but not impressive….kind of a plain scent.
It’s always very cheap on Avon’s site and I see why.
I got it as a gift once and quickly re-gifted it to my mid-50’s mother who loves it.

I love Love’s Baby Soft, and this and Heaven Sent are often grouped in with it as being alike. I stumbled on a bottle in a pawn store of all places being sold for a couple of bucks so I finally got to try it!
It has a very powdery base, but what sets this apart from being a baby powder dupe is the notes of honey and lemon which add an interesting hot toddy-ish vibe. And ad from the 70s mentions this having a blend of woods and angelica root. I feel like this would wear well in spring since it has such vibrancy and dimension without being over-powering.
I personally like this less than Love’s Baby Soft but more than Heaven Sent. Funny enough it actually seems to be a balance of the two since Baby Soft is more powdery and Heaven Sent is more citrusy.
The bottle I have came with the box and is dated 1999. I like the packaging, the bottle design is very similar to Mem’s bottle design for Love’s Baby Soft so they look nice together 🙂

I just ordered this perfume. It reminds me of my childhood. The powder smell just gives me that back in the day feeling. A spring perfume in my opinion.

When I first started collecting perfume, I was a huge fiend for any perfume that was baby powder like. I had Baby Soft, Amazing Grace, and others which I enjoyed. Now that I’m more familiar with changing diapers, I find the concept of wearing a baby powder scent entirely off putting. In remembrance of my old obsession though I found Sweet Honesty truest to the scent of baby powder than any other perfume I know. If you want to wear that scent then this is the perfume for you. I personally think baby powder scent is really pretty and if I didn’t have a particular scent memory attached to it I’d be wearing Sweet Honesty.
A blend of rose, musk, and vanilla are the classical components of the baby powder accord with variations including other florals. Sweet Honesty adds a twist with a honey note which becomes more apparent in the dry down than freshly sprayed. I adore when the honey note comes out, it adds warmth and a little bit of sexiness I think.
Even when I was younger and wanted to smell like baby powder, I never really reached for this perfume. I guess because it’s such a literal scent I couldn’t really find an occasion for it. I do recommend it though, but only if the scent of baby powder appeals to you. It’s inexpensive and lovely.

Ring Ring; Hello Love’s Baby Soft– call your lawyer –someone stole your formula EXACTLY.
P.S. The logo on the box looks so outdated it’s comical.

This is for the vintage formula: sweet, floral musk- quite lovely! It has a rather “round”, honeyed-nectar-like effect that is quite charming- it definitely doesn’t project, but rather creates a soft “glow” around the wearer. Beautifully blended and worth seeking out.

My mom had the original and has the current version of Sweet Honesty, the only questions that runs on my mind is, “What happened Avon? Why did you change it?” It used to be one of the best smelling perfumes, now it smells powdery. I miss the older Sweet Honesty.

    This is for the vintage
Wow, this is not quite the same as the new one. Light soapy aldahydes and citrus not nearly as much powder and it’s alot greener! The vintage is not striking me as a very powdery scent and it’s not heavy at all.
It start’s out slightly sharp and green but drys down soft and sweet. My over all impression is of warm honeyed sunshine. Spring or fall?

I put a .99 bid on the internet for a 4oz bottle, and won (couldn’t pass it up, I love powder and honey as notes). Well, what a pleasant surprise. My bottle is vintage so I’m sure it smells totally different from the new formula. I definetely get a strong musk and honey in the opening. It has a bit of green (don’t know why no green note is listed above), but very light, which is a good thing because I don’t particularly care for green notes. The dry down, yes, hyacinth, rose, and even citrusy lemon. Sillage is decent and it lasts several hours. I love the powdery dry down, and so do most people. I’ve noticed that even those around me who don’t like perfume, don’t mind powdery smells.
I don’t know what the new formula smells like, but, if you want more th
