Don Algodón Suspiro, a Don Algodón flanker from the 90´s was considered by many as a dupe of Lou Lou. And it actually was similar but it wasn´t exactly a dupe: it was less sweet, not so difficult and not so mysterious. I detected a lot of jazmin and violets, inciense and more citrics. It was a bit fresher, cozier, lighter and cleaner, more youthful and naive, less complicated and more wearable as a daily scent in cool weather. It had a great sillage like Lou Lou and was very longevous for an EDT. It was like the original Don Algodón (wich shares a few notes with Lou Lou) on steroids. It was also dirty cheap and on sale in every supermarket and drugstore. It was discontinued sometime around 2007-2010 and a vintage bottle of this stuff can be found nowadays at a much higher price than the newer Lou Lou 100ml bottles. I´ve seen many desperate fans of this juice turn to Lou Lou trying to find something similar and they were generally satisfied but always complained that Lou Lou is less wearable as a daily scent and perhaps too heavy, excesive and baroque compared to her younger sister Suspiro.
