I bought this for 3 reasons: I like Jil, it was cheap and the bottle for the men’s version is glorious (oh the power of image). And you know what, this smells curiously satisfying.
It’s not crisp and citrusy like I’d hope but rather more fruit juicy. Refreshing nonetheless. There’s a lovely floral thing happening too, not too flowery but soft and enveloping magnolia and tiare.
Once the citrus wear off this scent reminds of Le Feu d’Issey despite being a vastly different creation. They share the same fruity, plastic exotic note throughout the base and general sillage which remind me of Roxy Music’s In Every Dream Home a Heartache.
Le Feu is a multifaced beast that must wear differently on everyone but on me it is Jil Sander Sun Day Intense. If anyone has tried both do share your thoughts as I fear my nose is delusional.
