    description on manufacturer’s website
The authoritative fragrance of musk and amber, the youthful strength of black currants and patchouli and the fresh, exciting power of citrus fruits bring together the attributes of a true Sultan. Making you feel the Authority, strength and power, making you rule amongst others like a SULTAN.

    Liking it quite a lot!
Lively strawberry-pineapple-khoa attar. Lasts for around 6 hours or so…close to skin perfume oil. Needs more testing,,,
(Khoya is an Indian sweet made from thickened milk and often used as stuffing for sweet pastry’s etc.)
Initially very gourmand sweet along the lines of Hermes Elixir Des Merveilles.

Too sweet for me. I feel mainly the peach and the pineapple, then strawberry and finally vanilla. For the price, an ideal gift for a teenager. I’m giving it to my sister.

Didn’t get on with that one at all.
I can’t smell any of the fruity notes that people mention. On my skin the initial hit is of burned coffee flavour caramel and the dry down is roasted hazelnut. I love these smells but not on me.
This perfume actually make me feel sick to my stomach so will give the bottle away.
It does last long on clothes, my scarf has to be washed so i can get rid of the smell.
    I’m not a fan.

(for the oil version) The opening is too oriental for my nose, but after about an hour the oriental notes fade and the fruit stays strong. After some more hours the fruit gets into the background and the vanilla comes. This is my favourite phase of this scent and I am glad it doesnt change anymore. Definitely unisex. I dont wear it outside house as this is just too unisex, oriental and fruity at the same time, most people wouldnt understand it. I just use it occasionally at home when I am in a mood for “something a lot different”

    A very pleasant gourmet perfume.
    I have the oil version.
I’m impressed since it’s so affordable.

This perfume is similarly close to noora… Which is a very pleasant smell… I love it very….

Substance: The strawberry, pineapple, sandalwood, vanilla and honey.. these all notes are so prominent in this gourmand jewel that they emit sweetness through and through. Honey dipped strawberry and pineapple salad would be an apt description! The juice itself is pretty lean, kinda dilated tbh, but smells amazing.
Great projection and very good silage. Lasts for at least 8-10 hours comfortably.
Packaging: Just about average. Looks good on the shelf from distant sight. However, up and close, the look and smell spells cheap n chic, respectively.
    Rating: 6/10 (Frag: 7; Bottle: 5.)

Recently I went into a little buying frenzy on Al Haramain fragrances. They’re so good and affordable.
This oil is strong, so a little goes a loong way. I’m still wearing it at home because I still have not figured out the socially accepted dosage of this oil if I’m to wear it in public.
At first whiff it smells strangely of a very sweet combination of smoke and dried fruit. After two hours, it smothers down to a beautiful honey floral base which lasts a long time.
Wonder if there’s a hidden honey note in it, or it’s caused by a combi of floral notes like the case of Lancome Poeme.

I have the oil and I find it very masculine. The pineapple, peach, cinnamon, amber and sandalwood are the most prominent notes on me. The cinnamon provides both a sharpness and spice giving the composition a warm but masculine edge. Although I heard this has a strong strawberry note, I do not smell it. It’s very sweet and edible in the air. I would love to cosy up to my husband if he were wearing this. In fact, I’ll put some on him when he arrives home from work, lol! A feminine counterpart to this fragrance is the new Live Irresistable by Givenchy. They are brother and sister.
I do not think Sultan smells like Noora after application. Noora has a fresh, soapy undercurrent like still warm laundry. Sultan is deep and dark throughout.

Fragrantica should separate two Sultans from Al Haramain: EdP and CPO (Concentrated perfume oil). While oil is fruity and feminine, EdP is definitely masculine, fresh, very similar to El Nabil´s Musc Sultan and Al Rehab´s Sultan. I can detect vetiver, mint and cedar. Definitely for spring and summer. Nice but low sillage. 7/10

I agree that this smells similar to al haramains noora from the bottle, but for me the similarity ends quickly. Once applied to akin, this is very gormound, lots of strawberry and pineapple, but I can detect and am enjoying incense in a lot of fragrances. This cost me £7.99 from ebay in the UK. The bottle is attractive. I like the glass dip stick method of application. Another hit for mw from al haramain
This as usual lasts me over 7 hours, others cant smell it, but I can, so I’m happy

It’s pure joy in a bottle!
Such an uplifting fruit punch of a scent with warming sandalwood and sweet vanilla. The strawberry note is the star, but I can pick out raspberry and peach although the pineapple is sadly lost. The florals bring up the rear quietly. It’s a wonderful, well-blended combination.
It’s unequivocally feminine; frankly I can’t imagine men carrying it off comfortably. However I reckon it’d layer very well with masculine incense and/ or smokey scents – Interlude Man springs to mind. It’d definitely be worth a try.
One sweep of the wand gives me moderate sillage and 12+ hours of wear. And it only cost £7! I’m deeply impressed with the quality of this oil and look forward to trying more from Al Haramain soon.

I bought this one at the Dubai Duty Free for only 25 dirham, which is like 7$/6€!!! Beautiful lucious fragrance, that does remind me of Noora, but Noora is much softer and more powdery/soapy as where Sultan opens up with an explosion of sweetness. Strawberry well represented here. I love the dry down as the woody aspect comes to live and thw perfumes settles in nicely. Very strong sillage at first but fades after some hours.. Longevity with me is moderate but good enough for me. A bargain and a beauty!

What a lovely fragrance! This to me comes off as a sweet and sensual strawberry-sandalwood with a touch of incense. The notes are all nicely blended together to create this little jewel. It is definitely characteristic of Arab attars, but definitely appealing to a Western nose as well. One of the reviewers mentioned that this smelled identical to Wisal by Ajmal(which is my signature fragrance that I wear almost daily), however the two smell nothing alike (altough both are incredible!). Rather I’d say is similar to Balkis by Al-Rehab, although Sultan is enriched with the strawberry and is nicer in my opinion.

Divine, love it! It’s very similar to Noora, but while Noora is orange-ish, it’s srawberry-ish a bit. I have the CPO version of Sultan, and I really really love it. <3

A year later I tested this again and find that the beginning is quite strong fruitcholi. After a minute this is smooth on my skin unlike many other Arabic oils. The smoothness is divine earthy and long lasting. I prefer this to Al Haramain Noora – which is heavier on the patch and appears to be more incense on my skin. Noora is lovely but sultan works better on me. Extremely long lasting.

Based on revievs I bought Sultan just 2 weeks ago.
Tried few times but I could’t find any oriental sweetness I was expecting (like my favourities Amouage Gold, Jaipur or Aramis Calligraphy Rose…)
There is some sweetness but a litlle dull and just after first spray it develops into very linear and long lasting close to the skin delicate warm emanation.
Similar (almost no difference) to Ajmal Wisal. Tried both of them and couldn’t find any difference.
I decided to give it to my son and he and his wife were both excited by Sultan. From now on it become their favourite fragrance.
I this way I have good excuse to try another one from Al Haramain!

The most beautiful smell around the world. Rich oriental splendor closed in a small botle. It’s a pity that its longevity not the best… although I love love love it!!! Majestic magic…

I smell this as an interpretation of a very light fruity oud. It´s very nice.

This is such a pretty and long lasting scent which envelops the wearer with the most amazing cloud. A friend of mine was wearing a very tiny drop behind her ears but I could smell it from the moment she came into the office. She walked around leaving an amazing perfume trail. It comes across to me as very similar to Dolce and Gabbana Femme, the old formulation, without the aldehydes. This is a concentrated oil so a tiny swipe is all you need. It starts off very very strong very sweet floral note, almost candy like and by the dry down the sandalwood and amber appear. It dries off to a powdery woody floral, almost losing some of the sweetness. The musk is very clean and present all throughout.

A very pretty and long lasting smooth sweet patchouli scent great for the modern perfume nose. Starts off sweet and fruity and then sweet and patchouli in the dry down.
