Description

The popular men’s fragrance by the house of Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb has received a more intense successor – SPICEBOMB EXTREME. The fragrance comes in a flacon shaped like hand grenade with a copper ring.

It has explosive composition, which highlights aromatic lavender in unique way thanks to hot and tart spices. Lavender is mixed with caraway and black pepper, leaving a trail of hotness above masculine shades of tobacco and subtle, comfortable vanilla.

Fragrance SPICEBOMB EXTREME arrives on the market in 2015 as 50 and 90ml Eau d Parfum.

Reminds me of a less serious version of Tom Ford noir. More casual, this just gives off very fall-ish vibes. I love it, can def smell the tobacco and vanilla. Not too sweet. But in the same breath it smells very mature. Imo.

I think the Spicebomb range you should never be quick to judge. I’m personally not a huge fan of the original spicebomb, although when I smell it straight after srpaying, the opening is SO spicy/peppery that I hate it. after the drydown it becomes ok.
With Spicebomb extreme, it has the spicebomb dna but with an excellent blend of vanilla – right up my alley as someone in their mid-20s!
But again, don’t get caught up by the initial opening, let it drydown and be amazed for hours!

Great job with this V&F. Great performance and sillage just like the original before it was reformulated.

This is really good fragrance, one of the best for fall and winter,it has great performance,I suggest you to try it.
It has vanilla, but it is not yummy edible vanilla, vanilla just giving the sweetness and warmness to the composition.

I was underwhelmed when I first smelled this but that was because it was during the middle of summer. This fragrance has a moderate amount of spice and much more vanillatobacco mix and I find that to be a perfect combination for the fall time and winter. I find it to be very cozy, it’s very soft and upscale smelling. I think what I’m most shocked by is the longevity, I sprayed at 4pm and can still smell it clearly on my skin by 11am the next day. I may even say this is the best among the three in terms of being wearable. As I said the spices are much more subtle and in the backdrop rather than being prominent as they are with the others. Therefore I think the name extreme is rather misleading and likely the reason for people overlooking it, thinking ithe spices will be even more intense than the original and fresh versions. They are not. The spices are subtle as in Atelier Vanila Insensée, however the result is a masculine vanila/tobacco scent. Do not overlook this, I think this is just as good as Jazz Club or Dior Homme Intense.

Spicy, warm, and sweet. Vanilla heavy.
If you need a numeric rating: 10/10

    Really love this fragrance.
I am pretty sure there are more notes than the ones listed, I smell a little bit of a smoke smell, and if you wait until it’s 10+ hours of wear you can clearly smell a musk note.
    Very luxurious.

Now this has got to be in my top 3 Fragrances. This is like it says, a spice bomb extreme. Lot of elegant smells coming from this fragrance. Fresh and Dark Spices with a hint of vanilla and Tobacco. Personally you can wear this at any time of the day and season, but its best time is night time on a Date and going out into town with mates or a partner. A classic in my eyes that everyone should at least try!

I enjoy OG Spicebomb, so I picked up extreme after a few sample cards.
There’s something in the drydown that does not sit well with me. Possibly the saffron that someone mentioned earlier. This completely interrupts the warmth of the tobacco and vanilla and unfixed my face whenever I caught a whiff of it throughout the first wear.

Exquisite. Remarkable spicy tobacco vanille; surprisingly refined and mature. Great for the colder weather. Far too heady and evaporates far too quickly on warmer days. Elaborate enough for formal attire and occasion. This will compete well in the winter with my Issey Miyake Or Encens. Both are exceptional.

    @Laponia.
I bought the bottle in a posh parfume department store, so I doubt it’s fake.
Perhaps theres just something wrong with that particular bottle or batch?
I compared it to the tester that was from 2016 and there are a huge difference between the two.

Sure you dont have a fake bottle.
    I have both 62R70DC and 62R50D2.
The smell is, as it was before. There is no problem at all with sillage and longevity.

Super sweet seductive sexy spicebomb. Love at first sniff, a pure perfection for winter time in my opinion.
Batch code – at the end of 2017, longevity 9+ hours.

The July 2018 batch (62R70DC) of Spicebomb Extreme is horrible! I tested it against a July 2016 (62N70DB) batch and the 2018 batch has none of the complexity of the original. Further more it has about 2 hours of longevity and no sillage. The 2016 batch is well rounded and gorgeous smelling and reminds me of Bois Doré from Van Cleef & Arpels, but the 2018 batch is harsh and smells more like Invictus or some teen bubble gum fragrance. Even after a shower I can still smell a faint sweetness of the 2016 batch on my arm, the 2018 however is completely gone! How sad that we have lost this wonderful winter fragrance to reformulation.

I love the opening reminds me of TM pure malt without the cereal malt note. from there the magic ends for me 🙁
the dry down smells like you took a can of baby corn along with the juice and mixed it with cream of corn! :/ thats not what I was expecting
fortunately I have a full bottle of it to sell or trade for something else 😉 see the glass is always half full 😀

I am going to say up front, I love Spicebomb and do I think it is better than this one. That said, I really enjoy Spicebomb Extreme quite a bit.
Spicebomb is more zesty, sharp and intoxicating to my nose. This, at least for me, makes it more wearable. Daytime or nighttime, Late Summer to Early Winter frag.
Extreme, on the other hand, is very reminiscent to Armani Code Profumo. Up top, it has a similar cola vibe. Code Profumo reminds me of Dr. Pepper, while this one is kind of like root beer. That dies down after about 20 minutes or so, and the spices come through. Honestly, I think this dries down almost identical to the original, besides maybe being a bit richer. That said, I prefer the opening of Spicebomb.
Basically, it goes from being a resinous, sweet, spicy, vanilla bomb, to peppery tobacco finish. Awesomely masculine without being too overbearing.
I would consider Extreme a late Fall and Winter frag. Sweater weather for sure. In fact, I can picture wearing a Wool V-Neck with a button down, indigo jeans, and brown brogues with this one. It has that dressed down yet respectable aura, casual, but also sharp. The gentle confident guy who has his stuff together type of cozy scent.
I give this a 9/10. Going to be a mainstay in my collection along with the original. I like both for different reasons, even if the dry downs are similar. If I had to pick just one though, it would be the original.
(I also have Bvlgari Man In Black, and I find that one far more peppery with little to no sweetness, and is far more formal, mature, and down-to-business. So if you dislike the borderline sweet gourmandish aspect of Spicebomb (or Extreme), I recommend it. Or even better, Replica Jazz Club, which I feel is similar to Man In Black but is far more seductive.)

The best sweet, tobacco, vanilla fragrance out there PERIOD.
    Can be compared to:
Armani Code Profumo Which is similar but with a more fresh type of sweet smell
    and
Tom Ford Noir Extreme which is a more bolder sweet than the two.
    10/10

For some people this maybe a headache inducing of the original spicebomb, however in terms of sillage and longevity, this beats the original spicebomb by a huge margin.
I sprayed this on a card, straight away the scent was really strong cinnamon and spices smell (slightly cloying to some people), however the scent lasted the next day and beyond and this is the good part: after only a few hours you get a lighter scent of vanilla and cinnamon and spices, really cosy scent. The drydown is amazing and similar to armani code profumo.
The original spicebomb is a lighter version of this scent and fades away quicker while the extreme version still remains and projects (no re-sprays needed with this one!)

This Fragrance is a wonderful mix of cinnamon, vanilla and tobacco. Very very well blended, the dry down is my favorite part, very sweet with a hint of cinnamon spice. Smells like something I would want to eat. My go to winter.

Really good quality designer scent. Has something in the notes which is really attracting. No room in my collection for it but i will keep it in mind if i am to get rid of any at some point.

I love the cologne, I actually have always wanted to own Spicebomb for a while and when I did I got Spicebom Extreme as per this site’s review and I was disappointed by the projection. It’s thick but the projection and sillage are a problem.
