I love this. It starts with a touch of citrus and black pepper, before settling in to a radiant airy jasmine supported by woods and a touch of vanilla. It smells fairly linear but that’s just what I like about it- a shimmering cloud of loveliness that smells consistently good from start to finish. I feel lighter in body and spirit for a spritz of this.

A delicate, soft and romantic scent… this I really like, the ylang is made creamy enough I think it is due to sandalwood, it is really nice the sweet and delicate harmony that breathes. Sweet Dreams…

Somehow the jasmine and sandlawood don’t mix well for me it just smells soapy.

Firstly, 4160 Tuesdays absolutely nailed their customer service. A very exciting box of samples arrived promptly, complete with a handwritten note and a bonus extra. If you are wondering what to try next in the world of perfume then order a 4160 sample set.
As for Sleep Knot, it’s sheer pleasure. The opening is all lively pepper, which lingers just long enough before ylang-ylang, jasmine and sandalwood take centre stage. I’m surprised how smooth and creamy these elements feel in combination. There’s a delicate sweetness here that isn’t quite caramel or vanilla, and I can’t tell whether it’s a separate note or the mysterious alchemy of jasmine and wood.
Projection is not huge but then it’s appropriate for such a sensual scent to sit close to the skin. And my boyfriend is a fan ;).
I’m not sure yet whether Sleep Knot will be a full bottle purchase – my budget is limited and I have another 7 samples to play with before I decide – but it would take something very special indeed to outshine this.

Sweet Ylang with sandalwood and a tiny bit of pepper at first as you can sense the medicinal of the Ylang Ylang, then it calms down with some jasmines although i still think the rancidity comes from the ylang ylang and not the jasmine. This might be a good fragrance somehow if you like jasmines and Ylang put together cause each of them is quite strong and tried to beat one another but also both of them smells quite sour, rancid, and dirty generally. This could be the best from their fragrances so far if you into creamy jasmines and Ylang, But be aware that it will change later on to tulips.

A gorgeous fragrance. Im first hit with the unmistakeable ylang ylang, pepper and sandalwood. The jasmine reveals itself over time on me. This combination of notes does remind me of frangipani a bit. There is definitely a tropical vibe going on with this creation. A fragrance perfect to wear at a summer evening event be it romantic or otherwise. My only reservation with this fragrance is the pepper note. Thankfully it doesn’t get amped as is the usual case with my chemistry. Moderate sillage and longevity.

I usually shy away from jasmine, I tend to find it overbearing but this is beautifully done. It’s a creamy jasmine mixed with the sandalwood. The pepper I got straight away but this dies down to reveal this light, creamy, dreamy jasmine scent, I love it

I absolutely adore this one and my husband doe too, making it perfect for bedtime. the combination of notes is very sensual, but not harsh or overpowering. here’s what Sarah says about it:
“In February 2015 we were asked to create a perfume to spray on hotel pillows, for people planning a romantic weekend away. It was a tiny batch, just to send to the hotels and the press, then it was going to disappear forever.
They wanted jasmine, sandalwood, ylang ylang and black pepper, some of the loveliest natural materials on the planet. We made it really quickly, and they were quite surprised that it smelled this good.
It seemed a shame that it would be lost forever, so we had an idea. We’d been thinking about Carlos Powell’s Peace Love Perfume project, bit hadn’t quite cracked the idea – and this seemed just right. Here we have peace and love – in a perfume. We went back to the formula, worked on it a little and created a perfume with a purpose.
We named it Sleep Knot, because first of all we wanted to say it was to help you sleep – not. All those lovely oils, traditionally used as aphrodisiacs for hundreds – maybe thousands – of years. Then we thought of the shapes that bodies make when you finally fall asleep with someone you’re totally completely in love with, and we named it a sleep knot: arms and legs all tangled up because you don’t want to let go.”
    oh, yes please.

Just based on a tester sent to me, I smell the pepper in a whisper of floral, but I do love it so. I agree with the description from becuille. It is very soft but i really like it. Not sure if its a summer winter perfume. It is for me a light but unusual scent.

This is peppery sandalwood to me. It opens with a huge blast of pepper, then gradually becomes more woody.
I’ve said before I never get floral notes from this house. Even when they’re in it, I can never detect them. Initially, I thought that was the case here, but a fleshy jasmine gradually started peeking its head out. It’s very subtle (and non-indolic, thankfully) and then I got hints of ylang ylang. They’re subtle, but they’re there.
It’s an interesting juxtaposition. The pepper is sharp and spicy and the woods work well with that. Then the florals are sweet and creamy, which feels like a contradiction at first, but I like it.
The sillage is very soft with this one, and the longevity – as is usual with this house – is miraculous.
