Tutti Frutti…berries and grapes smashed in red wine. Never apply more than 02-03 spritz. Not very sophisticated yet ladies like it.Bang for your bucks.

This one is like putting a pair of tits on a milkjug, loud and in your face, offensive even, like in that movie, Mitt Liv Som Hund, I love it! An Ambery Fougere. I do however agree that the older formula is stronger, mines from 2010 and it’s funny how long it sticks around, it’s comical., you have to commit when you wear it because it refuses to leave! My 2017 bottle seems weak in comparison but maybe that was intentional because ‘Intense’ took it’s place and is very ‘Intense’!

Silver Scent is nice but Silver Scent Intense is better. Yes I do get a sort of Litchi peering out from the sea of grapes but the composition is overall better in the Intense version…..for my taste at any rate. I don’t see a need to have this one separately so will be sticking with Intense.

    Oh NO NO NO NO
This smells like grape kool-aid in the beginning and that scent lingers.
That fragrance lingers on with a sweet and aromatic fragrance.
This is noticeably synthetic, not disgustingly so, but this fragrance is not pleasant and rather loud.
It does smell like a more juvenile, loud, lower quality version of platinum egoiste.
My Dad says it smells like creed silver mountain water and there may be a similarity in composition, but not notes, quality or smell.
    A scrubber

for the first try i’m not really like it, feel chemical. but starting like this scent in a second try, the chemical smell decreasing. this fragrance very simple smell, grape juice. but the dry down on skin have a 1 million DNA. very versatile can use in warm and cool weather. maybe the projection not beast as the vintage formulation, but the longevity still outstanding. only 1 spray can stand over 10 h (batch 2015). for the price point, very good value.

I bought this after testing once in a chemist. I thought it was quite interesting in a loud, super sweet kind of way with the strong grape vibe.
After wearing it twice, I don’t think I will again. To me this smells like cough syrup in the opening and then settles slightly into a very sweet, artificial smelling grape smell like grape flavored confectionery or soft drink. I can’t pick up any other notes and the performance is almost too powerful.
It’s too much for me, but it may appeal to a younger person trying to impress others with a scent that will over power the foul smells of a nightclub maybe…

Bought it without trying and i got a very bad headache after the first day use. The perfume is really strong and last more than 10 hours on my skin. Second time also i have the headache, so i stop using. Its not a frag for everyone, dont blind buy.

As many reviewers have already noticed, Jacques Bogart Silver Scent has very astonishing similarities to Altamir by Ted Lapidus and Sculpture by Nikos. I reckon that it is not a pure coincidence, at least not with the former. The Bogart Group owns licenses for both Jacques Bogart and Ted Lapidus perfumes, so I wouldn’t be surprised if JBSS and TLA shared the same vibe and aura. Besides, the three of them have nearly all the dominant main notes in common, such as orange blossom, tonka bean, lemon, and amber, plus some other notes eventually present in two of then and not in the other. Altamir and Silver Scent being for cold and dry winter’s days, whereas Sculpture being for hot and wet summer’s days. Anyway, that does not mean JBSS is either a copy or a clone of the other two… rather, it is an excellent perfume per se.
By the way, Silver Scent is a fragrance with many contrasts both fresh and warm, modern with a classical distinction. Its opening is surprising with the vibrancy of its citrus notes and the natural freshness of orange blossom. The lemon note is more like the aroma of the fresh juice, stinging and sour, rather than the zesty aroma from the peel, yet very good.
Let the citrus facet calm down a bit and a bitter aromatic spicy aroma starts spreading away. The wild green geranium and the dark lavender, together with the balsamic cardamom introduce the heart of this scent. This powerful mix fills your nose and reaches your mind, completely soothing your soul. it is dark, deep, mysterious. Silver Scent is my first JB scent, and I think I love it. This is the stage where the resemblance with TLA is more prominent.
As a final note, after several hours, an attractive accord of vetiver strengthened by teak wood blends into the intense sensuality of tonka beans. this stage is sweet and musky, truly masculine. Even though I know very well the smell of the lychee, my favorite Xmas fruit, I do not get any in there, rather a musky and mossy note is clearly recognizable.
I really enjoy this fragrance. Great longevity and sillage. I was wearing it on a working day, none of my colleagues got offended, and yet I got some whiff of it at evening on my way back home. Suitable for late fall and throughout winter, for people of middle 20 and above. An excellent value!
I am looking forward to buying some other JB fragrances!

Hi. Wow! very rich scent,my favorite for all seasons, especially in the summer evening, rather close-by, wonderful smell. my favorite for now. I would recommend! made in France scent! Orange ,tonka bean, and lavender, very long lasting in my skin.Similar to Ted Lapidus Altamir, Nikos Sculpture Pour Homme and PR One million. Beauty tropical Bogart!

Very masculine classic male fragrance. Nothing unisex about this one. Has the Jacques Bogart DNA but still different enough to own. Very musky and woody, reminds me of a number of aftershaves worn in the 80’s and 90’s by my father and uncles. My wife loves it on me… the moment she smelled it her comment was “Now that’s a classic manly scent.” Check it out guys, it’s very affordable, but probably not a blind buy.
IMHO Bogart and his brother Ted Lapidus make some of the best value-based powerhouse men’s fragrances on the market. If I was in my 20’s and still clubbing I’d look into this house. While other guys at the club smell all pretty and sweet (e.g. One Million, Eros, Invictus, 212 Prive, etc) you’d be the ALPHA wearing Silver Scent, Bogart Pour Homme or One Man Show. Sure, not every woman is going to love your scent. But that’s exactly the point! The single most attractive male characteristic to a woman is a GENTLEMAN’S CONFIDENCE. If you don’t know what that means, then you don’t have it. And let me tell you, it takes absolute confidence to wear a Bogart powerhouse. You can’t fake it so don’t try. It’s either there or it’s not. It’s your call. And if you can pull it off then you can wear Silver Scent.

My 34 year old daughter just bought this and it’s divine on her. I believe this is totally unisex. It’s fresh, And simple with brilliant longevity and sillage. A very good buy at around $40 AUS at my beauty spot.

Very harsh opening. I can just smell orange blossom and lychee on my skin. Nothing special scent wise but good sillage and longevity. Some might like it but after 10 applications it didn’t impress me. Sorry to say but I regret it that i bought it and it is going to be wasted. Not for me.

The following is the exact text from the official carded sample:
“A fragrance of many contrasts both fresh and warm, modern with a classical distinction.
Silver Scent instantly surprises you by the vibrancy of its citrus notes and the natural freshness of orange blossom.
An armour of fiery spices is then harmoniously allied with aromatic notes and reinforced by wild geranium.
As a final note, an intriguing accord of oud wood strengthened by teak bark blends into the intense sensuality of tonka beans. The timeless elegance of lichen and vetiver bestows upon this fragrance a true masculine authenticity.”
As evidenced by this, there is no litchi note listed! Instead, it looks like lichen has been mistaken for the fruit note (lichen being like moss, really a combination organism of fungus and algae). I’ve noticed this error in listing the notes lichen vs. litchi in other pyramids on this site. The other difference is the inclusion of oud in the base, which is not listed in this directory. This note of course is augmented in the Intense version of this fragrance.
It would seem that the “grape” note experienced by most, if not all, may come from the accord created by the citrus, geranium and orange blossom?
I enjoy this fragrance. The notes I clearly detect are grape (?!), orange blossom, and a combination of spices and aromatics. I do detect a woody base that retains some freshness perhaps thanks to the vetiver. To me, it does contain a faint wood note in the vein of oud. Great longevity and sillage. An excellent value!

At this cheap price, I believe this i the biggest compliment getter you could ever own.
I received many amazing compliments, but some said it’s a bit girly and lacks manliness.
Still, a great scent if you don’t over apply.

I don’t like it that much, although it is cheap and has great longevity (8 hour plus) and sillage, a club scent, and is cheap. It is very popular in Brazil because of the price but nobody thinks it is that sex magnet (in fact men generally prefer 1 Million and its similars). I rather prefer Silver Scent Deep (with hazelnuts) or Intense (with oud), though they have less than nuclear sillage and 1 hour less longevity but more complex scents.Lots of similars in Brazil.

This fragrance smells so fruity. When I purchased, i thought it would be so powerful and beastly. But it wasn’t. What I think is because of it a cheap fragrance most of them has been changed. Longevitty is 2 hours and the sillage very week

I’m unsure about Silver Scent. It opens very strongly with orange blossom, sweetness and something reminiscent of lily and it occupies the same olfactory territory as PR One Million. It projects powerfully and fills a small space like a hallway. It’s pretty linear and lasts a long time. So, I find it quite pleasant to wear at weekends – it’s definitely not an office fragrance.
However, I wore Silver Scent yesterday and my partner wasn’t at all impressed – she said it reminded her of a stairwell in a public car park where someone has urinated. Not good! In the car she needed to have the window open because the projection and sillage were so overpowering. I think it will be a long time before I wear this one again!

This is not to disrespect or talk badly of Silver Scent but it is a disaster for me.
Loud, screechy and super sweet are things I often go for in a fragrance. Case in point – JPG Ultra Male and Armani Code Profumo, which I love.
I have Jacques Bogart Pour Homme and I think that is fantastic so it’s nothing I have against the house either but this (Silver Scent) is a stomach turning, nausea enducing hardship for me to try to endure so I won’t do it anymore.
It is not a bad fragrance at all. Synthetic? Sure. Over sweet? Yes. Strange? I think so but none of those things necessarily make it bad or wrong. It’s just a personal thing.
Here is what I think is good about it if you like the smell:
    It’s very reasonable price-wise.
    Longevity is very,very good.
Sillage and projection are also top drawer.
That’s all you need then isn’t it? Simple.
Powerhouse from a good house but not in my house.
    Peace and love – Zoop

This is powerful, completely unrefined and juvenile.
It’s basically a strong artificial grape smell that lasts for ages. It’s a similar smell to the artificial grape flavouring that’s put in soft drinks and sweets.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

On me it is all about the tonka and spices and woods. A deep sweet scent (the tonka), probably with many synthetic components, but yummy (there is a strange almost gourmand vibe too). Great longevity and sillage (9 hours plus with heavy sillage for 3/4).

Wow I blind bought it and this is really great.
I purchased it with the idea of getting an original clubbing scent , and that’s what it is. I get a tropical and kind of “juicy” vibe from it , hard to really tell what it can be
It’s definitely not a formal or casual scent, and a bit challenging for a date but if you don’t overspray why not.
Now the problem with this one is the skin chemistry , on my skin it’s good , the smell reminds me of fizzy candies and reminds me a little bit of Fleur du Male by JPG ( more flowery and less tropical than Silver scent though) and the very drydown of One Million , minus that overly sweet and dull ending that One Million gives , however , on a friend of mine , this was so horrible he had to scrub it, a cross between a floor cleaner and a shampoo , so it depends on your skin type I guess.
Plus I also have to say that the notes breakdown sounds intriguing , I maybe get a bit of lemon at the very beginning and orange blossom in the mid and drydown but that’s all , that what this fragrance is about : lemon and orange blossom , there’s no tonka bean or lichi to my nose.
Performance is really good , I have a 2014 batch and it’s fantastic , I get 9 hours of longevity , occasionaly more, and the projection is beastly for 4-5 hours , it leaves a huge scent trail that surrounds you a long time.
    Smell :4,5/5
    Longevity:4,5/5
    Projection:4,5/5

Silver Scent on me has huge longevity and moderate to heavy sillage, but I don’t really like its scent, the lychee and neroli didn’t agree with me. Silver Scent Deep has more a fava/hazelnut aroma, kind of leatherish on me but the longevity and sillage are smaller, less projection although with a 7 hour life on my skin. I like better Deep (don’t have the Intense flanker, because I am not a fan of oud) but , hey, it is me. From all I’ve read all SS are quite good and low cost (except the Pure flanker, people say it has no longevity).

I’m not sure about which Silver Scent I have to buy , I’m interested in one of them and I buy on the net so I cannot sample them..
So should I purchase this one or the Intense version is better ?
Could you advice me please ?

  33. :

Silver Scent is a fragrance to reckon with. It’s not to be played with or taken lightly!
It opens with a high pitched shriek of grape syrup (litchi) with a very cold/cool, minty effect. The opening is so intense with sweet grape syrup, that you can almost feel a “purple” vibe after the initial spray! After a few minutes, the cool, minty vibe goes away and the grape syrup loses its screechy sweetness.
Much to my surprise, the drydown DNA of Paco Rabanne’s 1 Million glides through under the grape-syrup. Funny enough, this was released 3 years before PR 1 Million.
Silver Scent is absolutely a clubbing scent. A scent to get you noticed. It’s very sweet with nuclear projection so I’d recommend it as a night-out fragrance in an open area or nightclub setting. It’d be suffocating in a classroom/work environment.
Easily found for $18-$30 online, Silver Scent is definitely worth the money if you’re in to sweet, loud, fragrances. I know I am in the mood for them every now and then!

Wonderful opening, wonderful projection and longevity and silage….sweet grapefruit vibe and strong and aromatic scent…..my favorite club scent….costs 1/5 th of one million and satisfies all similar scenarios. Strong winter scent…..I am using it more than one million although the smell is different and a bit synthetic. Wonderful scent.

    Grape bomb!!!!
Both sweet and misterious, just remember not to spray more than 2-3 times, or you’ll be in trouble.
Good for night, but can be used during the day, if it’s not too hot, or people will smell you from far far away.

Spray, spray, spray, spray… BOOM!!! This fragrance is an absolute beast just like Joop Homme! It has an immensely fruity opening but the dry down is where the power in this fragrance comes from. All I could smell the whole day was a deep luscious incense smell, all day. I have a heap of fragrances but this one is the bomb… In Australia blokes dont wear cologne much and if you wear it they will not say a damned word about it. Costs $29 and bought as a blind buy well worth the money in my opinion.

I cannot believe how good this fragrance is. I was upstairs and placed on three squirts, and the person in the hallway at the bottom of the stairs smelt it and asked what I was wearing! How is that for projection and it lasted on my clothes for 3 days. I paid about £45 in Harrods, for it but i see it is less than £15 now. If you want a men’s frag that has that wow what is he wearing this is one of the contenders. Its pretty fully on. Bang for buck few even come into the running than this. It is one of my all times haves. I think most people wear a fragrance to be complimented and this is one of the most complimented. My all time COmpliment getters, are Catalyst by Halston, Jaipur Homme, Obsession for men, Dunhill Edition, and I think the number one is Red for Men by Giorgio. To be up there I think is quite an accolade for a fragrance which now costs under £15. Some frags like Stephane Humbert Lucas, Tom Ford, Chanel, Clive Christian costing 10x the price cannot do what this does. It’s just bang for the buck. Clean and beauty is not commonly known. Ticks all the boxes. I mean to sit in an open air Christmas Markets and someone to walk by and say wow someone got a beautiful aftershave on is lovely. You are competing with the Mulled wine, the German sausages, and smell of punch along with the smell of alcohol. Its gotta be good! Great simple bottle too.

I really don’t get all the negative reviews of this beauty, yes it’s synthetic but so is 1 million which smells like bubble gum and sugar so all the people who think 1 million and then slag this fragrance off is laughable there is nothing wrong with this scent it’s simple and pleasant and great for a go to fragrance I have designer and niche scents and this is by no means at the bottom of my list of scents I give it a 7 out of ten I would rate it higher if the bottle was of a better quality so it’s thumbs up for silver scent for me.

  44. :

Projection and longevity are decent not as describe by most ppl out here claim that it smell nuclear..for me this is not really a beast and i always agree that the perfume which is 20 years before are more stronger and mostly same as 1 million by paco..the recent perfume nowdays is overly watered down .maybe because of the extra profit they wanna earn or what..
Scent for this juice is similiar of grape..smells like red wine though.a very cheaply made sprayer and bottle.i really hope that i found a fragrance that really stronger than 1million.
    Scent 7/10

Got a 2012 and 2014 bottle. They both smell the same, same sillage and same longevity. You sure you people aren’t imagining this reformulation stuff? Only thing that’s different is that the sprayer is a bit shit on my 2014 one. Not shit but compared to the older one it is!

  46. :

Before reviewing silver scent I’d like you to confront yourself as to why you wear a fragrance? Do you want to smell nice, tell people that you are wearing something just for the sake of having a smell? Or are you looking for art and sophisticated appeal?
If you just want to smell of a fragrance( read: trash) this is for you. So Vulgar so synthetic you’d be better off smelling of your own body odor , god knows maybe at least your own sweat has pheromones.
This is for the loud man with no manners that enters a room without knocking first.
I’m probably going to get alot of dislikes for this review, but the truth sometimes hurts ( and silver scent hurts even worse)

Warning: Silver Scent has been reformulated
Unfortunately, it is in the house Bogart now a trend to dilute the fragrances. First the one-man show and now it has hit the Silver Scent. Have today received a shipment of Allbeauty.com. It was a bottle of Silver Scent in parcel. The Bottles of 2013 with batch codes 13F08 & 13L28 are still the old recipe. Very intense. My new flacon has the batch code 14C08 and is 10:1 watered down. You can smell practically nothing. It’s an shame.

you can spray this scent liberately cause it’s very airy and light. perfect for summer evenings in my opinion. has something of nikos sculpture, with a 1million le male vibe. i think this was deffinitley reformulated when i look @ older reviews stating enormous projection etc. dies down fairly quick. 3 hours longevity.

Why all the hate? Silver scent is surely not for everyone. It can definitely be a headache inducer to some, overpowering or even nauseating to others. It’s a strong, strong smell… However, silver scent can be a fruity, juicy old school perfume perfect for mature men. It’s clean, and bright with perfect harmony between it’s ingredients. I find it really hard to point out a single note. What is more appealing to me is that for around 30$ you can buy it and it will reward you with hours and hours of strong projection. Something that some other scents with 150$ or more miserably fail to do (E.G: Tom Ford men Extreme). So I like it, I respect it and I am really considering buying it for my father!

The word “Silver-Scent” at the oxford dictionary means:
“The worst headache someone can experience”

So very impressive fruity and full of sensuality. Light fruity, grapes, with a touching enigma… yes, exotic and strong! But non woody fragrance. It’s so different, a thinking about a exotic fruity fragrance for men, I don’t find others have a so bold proposal…

Dislike. All i can smell is a cleaning product in a bottle.
The opening reminds me alot of sculpture by nikos opening. Dislike both
However, this one projects excellent(longevity is good, not as good as the projection). If you wanna be dominate it is a good one, as long as you don’t mind smelling like a laundry powder

“Hate” is a strong word. Almost as stong as this juice- it projects to the tips on the cardinal directions and doesn’t come off even after rigrous soap-and-water scrubbings. I cannot deny that this will make you noticed. However, realize not everyone wants to smell this on you. It is the cheapest, most grating attempt at a fresh, clean scent that I have ever experienced. I do not sense 1 Million as others have- this stuff belongs under my kitchen sink to be used on stains. Oh wait, this isn’t carpet cleaner? Something about both the cleaner-like bottle AND the stench scream “Resolve Stain Remover” at the top of their lungs. But that’s an insult to Resolve- it smells significantly better and actually has a productive purpose. Not Silver Scent. It literally makes me feel nauseous. I strongly DO NOT recommend.

Alot stronger and better smelling than some of my more expensive scents, very sweet and spicy. Call me crazy but this frag reminds me a lot of paco rabbane one million.

Very sweet, very fruity. I used to really like this scent but as i grew more mature and could recognize the good from the bad in the world of perfumes, i soon came to realize that this one is just quite average.
Don’t get me wrong, it last forever and the dry down is quite nice, a bit different from the start. defiantly a very unique scent though. ill give it a solid 6/10

Sorry guys but i really like this one. Wanted to have that smooth light grape gum scent and this has it. Love the fruity smoothness! I get hints of 1 million and vip here and there but prefer this to the both of them. Again my apologies 🙂 can’t wait to receive my bottle of Intense!

I have a sample of this.
It’s not bad but to me, it’s a very generic spicy aromatic and I can see why they call it silver, because it does have a slight metallic scent to it as well.
There’s nothing about this fragrance that would prompt me to go out and buy a bottle.

Just to add….A powerful Bogart. Just a bit too much of a bubblegum note for me. I’m afraid that I won’t be replacing this one.

Got this today. It’s nice. To me it smells like raspberry and grape mixed with Nikos Sculpture. I don’t think comparisons to 1 Million are accurate at all. The raspberry is like that in Fuel For Life. It’s also a bit bubblegum-like.
The scent it reminds me of most is Police To Be. Silver Scent is good but not that good. I think the positive reviews are somewhat overenthusiastic!
I am not getting the nuclear strength silage people describe but longevity on the skin is 8 hours plus which is impressive. I like it but I’m glad I only paid £12 for it. I own Sculpture and prefer it to this.

Great long lasting sweet floral. The litchi dominates from top to bottom. Lavendar/orange blossom and Tonka give it character and depth. a great night time scent though it can be cloying if oversprayed. Longevity is at least 10 hours while sillage is beyond what you expect. Bogart makes some of the best inexpensive scents.

To me this smells very clean and sweet at the same time. Yes it’s pretty strong stuff and for the price it can’t be beat if you’re looking for a clean sweet scent. It lasts forever on my skin. I would say the litchi gives it the sweetness and the orange blossom and lemon give it the clean scent. I don’t get much else from it though, it’s linear to me. Now when I say clean I don’t mean like Prada’s Infusion d’homme or Mugler Cologne, meaning they smell like you got out of the shower clean. This clean is like a laundry clean, which is nice but I can see it getting cloying with the sweetness in summer. I like it. I ordered a sample of the Intense version so I’ll see if they really are as similar as y’all make it out to be.
    7/10.

I gotta say, this is sexy fragrance. It is unique, fells like cherry but I think the cherry feel comes from amber litchi. Longevity is good, for 6-8 hours, you will still feel it, sillage is amazing for 3 hours. Definetly a Night fragrance. For the price, It is very nice fragrance and worth the money.

Honestly this one is extremely potent. It smells fresh & clean, I get different opinions on this, on my own nose it smells like a shower. Other times it can smell like baby talcum powder. Friends o
