Like a chewier, denser Fille en Aiguilles. When one craves a wintery, wild forest, this will hit the spot — but with one caveat. The scent lasts for around three hours, for two of those sitting rather close to the skin (still giving an unsolicited whiff here and there, however). I found myself wishing for a little more oomph, though I understand this is par for the course and indeed a bit better than usual than the average natural perfume oil.
The scent itself is gorgeous.

So I finished my sample of this over a month ago but I still can’t quite form an opinion. One thing that I can say is that this is a quality perfume oil, very long-lasting although a skinscent. It’s not too greasy and hasn’t stained any of my clothes.
This is very masculine to me and although I like wearing many men’s fragrances, this I don’t think I’d be able to pull off.
The scent itself is very interesting and imaginative and true to the name. It’s certainly an evocative perfume but in that aspect it has this fascinating duality, at least to me. On one side, yes, this is a Siberian fir, a dark, cold forest that hides many horrible creatures, snow covered grounds and crisp air. But it’s certainly a real gentlemen’s scent, Russian royalty or something like that. I feel like this is what Vronski might have smelled like.
On the other hand, this also reminds me of my childhood summer vacations, specifically of Grecian coast. The sun warmed pine trees surrounding the beaches and the sticky resins dripping onto the fallen pine needles.
All in all, this is a very well done, complex scent which I respect and appreciate but wouldn’t wear.

This and Olibanum are my favourites from the range, Siberian Fir being the darker scent and slightly sweet as Rosecat has noted. Unisex, lingering and very addictive.

This is fast becoming my favorite from this perfumer. Its truly a fresh pine forest captured in a bottle. I adore Siberian fir, its actually quite a sweeter scented pine, I have Red siberian fir (pure extract) and it smells sweet, the aroma sort of like cotton candy..in the most beautiful way. So this perfume has just a hint of this sweetened resionous aroma hidden in the base along with the really fresh green pine, i can smell the crunchy leaves and the resins sap of trees. I feel this is totally unsex..easy to wear.
