Serpentine Roberto Cavalli for women of Roberto Cavalli

Share:

Description

Serpent, the signature symbol of Roberto Cavalli, is feminine, sensual and dangerously charming. The composition is built around mango blossom known in Hindu legends as the food of Gods. According to a Brazilian legend, snakes eat mango blossom. This floral-oriental composition opens with sweet mandarin notes and mango blossom. The heart introduces exotic Tiare flower and rich scent of Frangipani blossom, refined by violets and black pepper. The oriental base is built on harmony of Tolu balsam, sandalwood and amber. The fragrance was created by Jacques Cavallier of Firmenich in 2005.

This opens very sharp but upon drying down I like it quite a bit. Something different than what I usually do. I think the sharpness resembled alcohol due to the artemisia note. An alcoholic sweet orange, almost too mature for me at first. But then the white/yellow floral comes through and I like it quite a lot with a bit of pepper in it. Even felt unisex for a moment as well, but the floral keeps it in my comfort zone. I’m happy with the mini I found and will use it every so often. I do not think it is worth retail value.

I haven’t been impressed with Robert Cavalli perfumes so I was fully expecting to not like Serpentine. I have worn this twice and both times I have been pleasantly surprised. Opens slightly herbal then turns into a deep, natural tropical floral. Drydown has sandalwood and amber holding it together.
Serpentine is a good performer, with excellent longevity and decent projection. Sampling from a 5ml splash mini. I have an extensive collection but if I find it for a good deal I could pull the trigger.

I’m such a fan of Cavalli but this one was such a bummer. Headache inducing white floral. I have a full 5ml mini of this if anyone wants a trade, let me know.

This is a surprise. From the bottle I expected a heavy heady indolic affair. Instead its a sophisticated but user-friendly delicious mix of florals with some herbaceous notes all swimming in a unifying Amber sea. Its absolutely a perfume for all seasons which is unusual
Its hot in the UK at the moment and I have been looking for something that transitions from day to evening without being stomach-turning and cloying in the humid heat.
The drydown is very subtle notes of sweet flowers – violet leaf standing out with what I guess to be Artemesia making it all so earthy and warm. It evolves and is long lasting on me with sillage of about a foot. When there is breeze, you are in a soft cloud of feminine earthy florals. Its bewitching. Win win – and it was a blind buy half price bargain on ebay

I has a higher hope for this one because it came from the house of Roberto Cavalli, but i was so disapponited.
It smells like mango pancake. The floral vibes are too “bakery” in my mind and pther scent are too warm. It’s just too warm and sweet, and not been balanced in a good way. but nice bottle.

I last sprayed Serpentine over 48 hours ago and can still smell it clearly on the dress I was wearing, with sillage of just within a meter. I have worn two different fragrances since then, which has given my nose a break from Serpentine.
I never assess perfume longevity based on skin, at least partly because mine is very dry. I also think that many people (including me) become “nose-blind” and simply can’t smell the perfume on themselves after a while, especially if (like me) they spray their neck and chest area, so the perfume constantly wafts up their nose.
I felt I should mention this, as another reviewer has described this fragrance as being of body-mist strength, which is not a fair assessment (in my experience), although there’s a possibility that his/her bottle is faulty!

Wow! This is currently my absolute favourite fragrance. To me, it’s sweet and with a scent almost like mint. It’s very hard to describe. If any fellow swede is reading this, it smells like the chewing gum Jenka. Plus flowery sweet. Intoxicating and interesting, but most of all wonderful.

Day time perfume.I got the EDP but it honestly feels like an eau de cologne. It smells pleasant like a unisex shampoo smells pleasant.Shampoo in body mist form because this last about as long as a body mist.To my nose I get white pepper, citrus, and a generic fruit in that order. Good for a teenager girl who just need a clean refresher at the end of the school day. Not worth the full price at the counter in my opinion.

I had Serpentine edp, over a year ago. Unfortunately, but I’m unhappy with it. After 20 min it gently and quietens by about 60%. I ask why, why high class scent does not last through its first phase 1h or 2h ?! After 2, 3 hours something else will resound.
I had hopes for this perfume, but its so weak i am unhappy with it.

Bought this off eBay a few years ago. Gorgeous, sparkling perfume and good value for money. It’s the kind of perfume I would expect to be a lot more expensive. Day or night I would class as. Great longevity. Definitely a jewel in the crown.

EDP: this is pretty, festive and sensuous, heady white florals with fruity nuances, warm and rich peppery amber and sandalwood drydown. Serpentine is very good option for a date. I agree it is perfect for summer night, but could be worn year-round.

This smells super niche was surprised at how cheap it is. Onto my great cheapies row! 🙂 I’ve had it on my right arm for a while now (hour) it’s still going. Just love frangipani, pepper amber and orange. Yumm

Not sure if I’ve bought a dodgy bottle of this, I got it from eBay and it’s very weak and hardly lasts on my skin. The first spray to me smells like Carven’s Ma Griffe, only for a few seconds, then I get an alcohol type spice smell and the dry down seems woody, quite like Jennifer Lopez Forever Glowing, it’s unnoticeable on my skin. I’m saddened as this has been on my list for ages and now I’ve got it I’m disappointed.

This is the perfume I wore when I met my husband exactly 10 years ago. We actually met on online chat but we didnt know we lived in the same dormitory. After 2 days chatting we both went to the same music club. We both were there with our classmates but we spent the night together talking and flirting. We were very close to each other and I kissed him on his neck. Too soon? I couldnt help. He was so perfect and I felt beautiful. He accompannied me to my room and after a few minutes he wrote to me nice things and one of them was that I smelled beautiful. This is my “when I met him” fragrance. How to describe it? I would say slightly sweet, spicy and sunny.

This is just gorgeous! Complete blind buy of a 5 ml decant because I was getting some others from the same seller, and this one unexpectedly turned out to be the prize of the bunch! Stunningly beautiful, rich and heady. Yes, it’s sweet, but the amber keeps it from being sickly sweet. Yes, it’s fruity, but it’s not a light hearted fruity, it’s a sweetly seductive and sensuous ‘mango juices dripping off your chin and being gently licked from your cleavage by a handsome hunk’ fruity. The drydown is a warm, subtly spiced sandalwood with pepper giving it a little touch of heat. My impression is that this isn’t a particularly refreshing summery light fruit scent, this is tropical nights of seduction.

This was my first Cavalli fragrance. It’s sexy, complex, and mysterious. My first impression was one of confusion. Did I like it? To be honest, not right off the bat. I had mixed feelings on this one. My first instinct was to pawn it off to my neighbor. I sat with this scent on my company table and just stared at it. It truly had me mystified. I kept sampling it, smelling it and etc. I decided to put it in my collection, and give it a go on another day. After about a week, I looked at Serpintine and said”it’s time to tango.” As time went on, I started to find myself intoxicated by this. It started out peppery, then it started to get floral like and some what sweet, but not very sweet. I could detect a soft powdery-ness as it warmed down. It was truly growing on me. In time, this fragrance and I have become good friends. It’s developed a fondness. I suggest it more for evening, and more of a winter/fall parfum. I’m glad I kept it around, and it surprised me in the end. Very lovely.

What to say about Cavalli fragrance. He is my number one when it comes to fragrances.
Serpentine is no exception. The scent last for so long on me and sillage is quite heavy but in a good way.
It reminds me of Oro so much.

On the whole i find cavalli perfumes well done and this is no exception. I think this is very versatile would suit summer and winter.initially citrus grabs you and then the tropical tiare….but the great thing is its quite fluid and subtle. Dries down creamy and golden. I like this; its not mindblowing but attractive and uncomplicated enough for daily wear.

Bordeaux cookie by pepperidge farm. It is crispy sweet and a buttery spice. I think the mixture of sandalwood and Amber is giving the buttery spice and the flowers are giving the sweetness.
    This is my happy scent.

A beautiful flowery sweet scent. It has a powerful almost bordering on cloying bitter sweet orange powdery opening scent. This heady mixture of sweet and sour dries down a great deal leaving a lingering warm Amber embrace. I fell in love with it and I’m not really a fan of sweet scents but found the powdery herb parts balanced out the sweetness quite gracefully. It’s like a evenings warm after glow of a hot summers day perfect for the transition from summer to fall or a late Indian summer. Such a romantic sensual feminine scent!

Annoying and boring floral scent… I tried to like it but… I guess it’s not made for me whatsoever

Give this a chance and use only a tiny amount. Testing a lovely, heavy quality, vintage bottle of Eau de Parfum. I sprayed a tiny amount on my arm and then brushed it around my teeshirt a bit. To me the opening is too brash, a large yellow cubic zirconia in a gold plated ring. But within minutes things change and to me it does become quite amorous. It quickly loses the over white floral twinge to become a very soft spicy sweet floral ambery scent. Very strong so use sparingly. I can see this for going to a summer outdoor activity, as it is fresh but sexy at the same time. Perfect for sailing or a garden party. I love all perfumes because they are perfumes even if I dont love their scents LOL but this one, I must admit, I love love the bottle more than the juice, but this is fine juice same way.

  23. :

Serpentine opens with a distinct sweet, yet tart, sparkling mango-citrus along with a slightly sour/bitter herbal quality (artemisia?) which lends a really nice balance to the tropical fruity sweetness of the perfume. I also get an undertone of a pretty, soft peppery floral although no particular flower stands out to me, it’s more of a peppery floral blend. The dry down is a subtle ambery, herbal floral mango scent. Quite nice.

I agree with the previous reviewer. This really does remind me of Florida where I’m living right now. I’ve lived in Coral Gables Palm Beach and Miami and this is the perfume that evokes the beachside restaurants and shops, the cafes and the lovely ladies. This has a definite tropical air to it, Caribbean/Atlantic coast type of vibe. For such an affordable price you get a more expensive smelling luxurious scent. The mango blossom is really just another word for mango fruity type of scent. For me it was more orange than mango. The first spritz was citrus fresh and fruity. The other fruits on here appears to be mango. The flowers, while not shy, are just not coming out to play as much as the fruits. I smelled mainly the Tiare Flower or plumeria which I absolutely adore as it’s one of my favorite tropical flowers. Always takes me to Hawaii every time I smell it. The gardenia flower is also similar in smell to Tiare so it makes sense that they’re both on here. The violet or violet leaf gives this scent a luxurious and spicy aromatic quality as does the pepper. This is beautiful. I also the bottle and the snake motif. Try this if you like tropical florals or fruity florals. If you liked Cavalli’s Exotica you’ll find this easy to wear as it’s in the same category of perfume.

Citrusy peppery goodness, quite intriguing. I think the golden juice is an adequate choice for this scent. Like most scents that are citrus/fresh, I can only picture myself wearing this when going to the gym, but it is definitely the most interesting “gym scent” I have come across thus far.

I had hoped for more. This is a very soft floral, nice but nothing special. Good for work. I have other Cavalli fragrances and this one is very unCavallylike. An Eau de Perfume that lasts but one hour on me. I will definitely use the full bottle but not buy again.

A cheapie that I blind bought which turned out to be….great! The scent itself is as sensual and luscious as the golden juice and the serpent bottle. A lovely one for a winter sunny day.

This is a nice, safe fragrance for those of us over 40. It is not overpowering. A nice fragrance for work. This is a classic. For the price, it is a nice, save purchase…reminiscent of the 80’s and 90’s perfumes, but without being a powerhouse scent.

I received a sample and liked this. So when I found a big bottle for 20.00…I nabbed it! So so glad I did! I like it far better than the tester because from the tester, I just tried a dab or two each time. When I purchased a full bottle, I got nice full sprays. This is more of a winter scent for me, not TO me. I use it more often in winter because I don’t have long to use my super summery ones. This is like warm sunshine on a winters day. LOVE this stuff. If warm tanned skin had a scent, it would be this. This is perfect during the summer. I think, since it doesn’t form a fume death cloud, it’s wonderful in summer and work places.
I must say that I get a full 12 hours on my skin. I can’t say that about…maybe ANY scent I own. I can smell scents on my clothes the next day, but never on my skin THIS long. Longevity is amazing for me. It’s discreet and never too too anything. This is a real lady-like scent to me. It just seems to smell like the golden color it is. This is ideal for gift giving. I can’t imagine anyone not liking this. I think it’s quite special. Not groundbreaking maybe, but certainly special enough for any occasion. I want to purchase a second bottle but with all the perfume I have and love, there’s no way I will ever need a second bottle. If I only had 20 perfumes, I’d get a second bottle of this for sure. Not many love this scent like I do. But I think you should give this a fair trial! The bottle is lovely even though I very much dislike snakes. This is a very mild sweet scent for any age. The ad needs to include a variety of faces and ages. I think it would draw so many more to this. I hope more people fall for this like I did!

Oriental, exotic tropical fruity and floral are terms that best describe this fragrance. The bottle with the snake design is a nice touch but it’s also a bit misleading. You don’t get a spicy bite or animalic fragrance out of it, nor is it musky or a heavy hitting sex bomb. It’s quite soft and girly. The mango blossom is sweet and fragrant, rich, and absolutely heavenly. It dominates the entire fragrance. Around it bloom exotic flowers of Tiare but also some familiar flower friends like good old violet and even more fruity yellow flowers of frangipani. Frangipani made an appearance in another Cavalli fragrance Exotica. Sandalwood and amber give it that brilliant final touch. I’m loving the Cavalli fragrances of Exotica & Serpentine. These are very affordable fragrances but not cheap at all. They smell expensive and are wonderfully composed. This is a spring and summer scent and wearable as either a day or night fragrance. I hope my reviews are getting women on Fragrantica who are not familiar with these perfumes to actually go out and try these fragrances for themselves.

Ok wow! Just got this today. I am going to skip reading the notes shown above and just describe what I smell. A very warm slightly sweet (without being one of those candy sweet perfumes) with a hint of spice. I can’t put my finger on what spice I smell but it’s absolutely glorious, feminine and sexy. I don’t know how it took me so long to smell this one. I rate it an A++ as a very well done classy beautiful scent.
The only down side unfortunately is very limited lasting power.
    Best for fall/winter months.

I have and enjoy several Cavalli scents. I added this one recently and am so glad that I did. It hits all the tones I like — a bit spicy, a bit sweet, lovely floral with a slight powdery touch, and very intoxicating — all with just the right amount of strength. I’m sensitive to perfumes that are too strong or screechy. No worries here.
I think this is a good all-year-long fragrance for day (don’t overdo) and night.
ETA: I have decided that this fragrance is not for me. It is indeed too strong and somewhat nauseating.

  33. :

Let’s start by saying that I never had RC perfumes nor was interested in any. I purchased Serpentine blindly because I was told that it’s a warm, amber fragrance (and it was ridiculously cheap).
I was very surprised of what I got! On me it develops progressively: as an opening I sense a real mix of mandarin orange and mango blossom with a very peculiar artemisia hint. But then it develops into a beautiful, warm and spicy fragrance. Amber and tolu balsam are clearly the main accords with my chemistry. My husband loves it on me and asked me to wear it way more often than I do. I also decided to start to have a deeper look into RC’s perfume…
I would recommend this perfume for those who like warm, heavy, vanilla/amber/spicy fragrances.
Long lasting and strong sillage. I am overall very happy of my blind buy.

  34. :

Got a mini of this, was very hopeful since I like other fragrances of his. Unfortunately, this one smells very generic and cheap. Not a bad scent, but I was expecting more from Cavalli. The bottle looks awesome, but the scent smells like something you’d give a five year old little girl. 🙁

  35. :

Trying out a small sample bottle I ordered and it’s nice but forgettable.
Serpentine? What’s with the “dangerous” snakes? This is the most tame piece in my collection.
The tiare flower stands out the most to me and the generic white florals pretty much take over after that.
The frangipani leaves a slight stinkiness to the overall package that just turns me off to the perfume altogether.
I think innocence like a young girl. I think safe like for the office or on your wedding day.
It fades quickly so don’t look for lasting power but I wouldn’t recommend a large bottle of this stuff – there are other Cavallis out there that are much nicer and more memorable than this one.

  36. :

Hmm. Never tried Mango Blossom before. Quite unusual. Not sure if it’s my skin chemistry but there’s an indefinable slightly wilting fruit skin smell to it.
I’ve just realised what it is. Violet Leaf. For me, it doesn’t sit well in the composition. It seems to be having an argument with the pepper for some reason. Not to my liking but without the Violet Leaf and the pepper I may have had a different view.

I have just finished my sample and feel the need to write a review. I have had this sample for years and have never felt really interested in it, but today I put it on and wow, I really like it!!
I’m a white floral lover, mainly tuberose, but I’m slowly moving towards tropical flowers too, I want to experience more of them.
I have a nice collection today, that I’m constantly and carefully cultivating, but I think that I’d love to have a small bottle of Serpentine that I could finish within a year or so. It’s not the love of my life, but very likeable and It fulfills my need for tropical flowers. Well done!
So I bought a decant, and I still like it :), it does have a peculiar green note that I’m not too found of. It might be the artemisia. But I still find it a pleasant, easy to wear fragrance. Quite inexpensive too.

  38. :

I love how this white floral seems, at first, quite playful and innocent – but don’t be fooled, for Serpentine is a very sensual, mysterious and alluring scent. This is aptly named; it’s seductive and sultry. The exotic blend transported me to a cruise ship in my bikini… languishing in the sunshine… cocktail in hand…
In the beginning, this is a very sweet floral and has some fruitiness in the top notes from the mango blossom. The blossoms are absolutely gorgeous and really shine in this (it’s currently my favourite note). Then, a beautifully creamy white floral middle, the notes of which are difficult to unravel, although I definitely detect the frangipani from time to time, until it settles into a soft sandalwood and amber base.
There’s a moderate to heavy sillage here, which for myself, was a little too overwhelming at times. Longevity is for about 7-8 hours. I wouldn’t recommend this one as a blind buy though, as seems to be very chemistry dependent 🙂

    “The Garden Of Eden” **
Eve invites Adam. Adam can’t resist, because the flowery smell of Eve does not hide her body smell.
And then, everything collapses around the primordial lovers.
    Sin is human’s nature.
This perfume is innocent. Sin is a concept.
I prefer Annick Goutal’s Songes, if you will follow me.

A burst of orange at first spray that turns a bit green within minutes.
At this stage it is not very appealing to me as I am not big on green scents.
But soon it drys down to a lovely soft creamy Sandalwood & Amber and as nice as it is , it seems to be missing that wow factor , all said and done for the price I say a very good deal to keep or give as a gift.
Sillage close to the skin , longevity is lacking .
    EDIT ,
Wore it for a few days to use up my samples,
and started to like it much more , the creamy dry down became addicting and I purchased a FB after all !

Serpentine, IMO of course, is almost overtly masculine while retaining those pretty white floral notes that are so feminine, the combo together creating something rather sultry. I’m a fan of androgynous fragrances, and this fits that bill for me. Also a fan of affordable fragrances, and for a 25 buck blind buy at TJ Maxx, boom. Bill fit. The bottle design is gorgeous, longevity and sillage are a little lackluster though for the designer brand. Overall, I get tropical jungle vibes from this one, exotic, warm, and as close to the skin as sweat. Pretty sexy! Gonna put this one to use over the summer.

from the commerical advertisement and from the bottle, i would have thought this is a heavy seductive noir perfume. But non.
It starts off a bit spicy, a bit citrus and peppery. It is quite an engertic starts. Then it all quiet down to a fint pleasant scent. Not something remarkable or memorable. But some safe daily scent.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

A “regular” perfume, nothing special. It’s warm and flowery sweet. The dry-down is the reason I would also call it elegant. For someone who seeks just a nice smell without wanting to express anything in particular it’s a good match. Because it’s on the standard side I think it could be a safe choice for a gift.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

Not long since I applied it, so I’m not sure if I will change my opinion on this later, but this really reminded me of how I fell in love with Cheap & Chic 20 years ago. Soapy is not what I go for in other perfumes, and they are a bit on the masculine side, but these scents really comforts me. C&c was my first perfume that was not just fruity, citrus fresh or sweet like Tresor, so the love story was really memorable.
Funny thing is, cheap & chic has not behaved the way it used to on my skin for a while, and I have been rather sad about that. This one reminds me of how my relationship with c&c used to be back when it was really good. Maybe it is time to move on?
I think I get more of the sandalwood in both scents than most, other than that I’m guessing the citrus and flower notes, and perhaps the balance of the whole thing could be responsible for the likeness.

    Another pyramid :
    Artemisia , mango , mandarin
Violet blossom, tahitian tiare , pepper, frangipani
    Tolu balsam, sandalow, amber
The fresh leaves have lemon scent.Burned as an incense, guards us from problems of all kinds, and smoke scares away snakes .It is popularly used in love potions and adolescent boys rub an unguent on her cheeks to accelerate the growth of facial hair. I like the bottle design. Starts as a warm scent. Tropical fruit smell of ripe mangoes in heavy syrup or mango nectar made a prominent entrance and briefly it was ok but next came this strong pungent fresh rain scent ( Like Burberry, Light Blue, Clinique Happy…Coco) that was trying to overpower the mango. This is the fresh rain in many antibacterial hand soaps, teen spirit , hair spray, bathroom freshener, men’s shaving creams and aftershave sold in drugstores under sports, athletic themes. I thought that back in the early 2000, the mass market got flooded with rain/aqua/water/breeze musky scented anything. It was the fragrance uniform at that time like Viva La Juicy and its variants are today. Rain notes win in the end ; dry down is fresh rain scent that is cloying and hard to wash off. Hints of musk are noticeable but well integrated in the rain scent enhancing the overall impression of men’s aftershave. Sillage and longevity is moderate. No flowers or citrus evident. Overall this blind buy did not work well on me. The dry down reminds me of Jovan Musk oil, English Leather I use to apply from testers.
Fragrances from this genre usually come up to compliment menswear fashion trends. Tailored suits, pleated trousers, tweed vest, striped shirts, loafers and oxfords. There is a strong unisex vibe in the style. To the right person Serpentine is elegant and very high fashion.

This is a very sweet fragrance, and quite heavy; the orange, mango blossoms and white florals (gardenia, tiare, frangipani) combine to give a tropical or vacation-y flair without coconut (I say no coconut because so often these notes come with coconut for a beachy flair). I wish it had a tad more sandalwood to ground it and smooth it out, as the florals are giving me a bit of a headache. It is quite comparable to YSL Cinema, although Cinema was more formal and had more amber and more of a zesty citrus presence. I also see the similarities with Oro, although where Oro had that unusual fleshiness of coriander with a fairly heavy pepper note, Serpentine only has the floral-amber notes. If the spicy notes of Oro didn’t agree with you, you might enjoy Serpentine, although Serpentine is a lighter, less sophisticated scent.

This was a blind buy according to reviews and possibly liking it from the others I possess that I love.
It smells nice. I did the pulse point test tonight. Very very discrete on me. Smells almost masculine … soapy… I will do the real test soon say what the comments are

In Serpentine I especially like the mango which is sweet and fresh at the same time together with tiare and frangipani make Serpentine rather tropical smelling.
It’s quite a heady scent so more suitable for cold weather longevity is very good while sillage is moderate
I’ve had compliments weraing this people around me seem to love it

Without looking at notes or reviews or anything, the first thing I thought of (after the perfume cooled off a bit) was bananas. I could smell the sweet fruitiness of bananas. Maybe bananas in an alcoholic marinade. Not very subtle or “womanly”, but a happy and warm scent, I suppose. It doesn’t last terribly well on my skin, but it is pleasant enough, if you like bananas. I guess it is the combination of mango + tropical flowers. I was hoping for something a bit more edgy, but I can’t write it off as commonplace or dull. I don’t think I want to go to work smelling like dessert, but I would consider it if I was going out to have silly and unromantic fun with friends.

I blind bought a big tester bottle because it was very cheap, had fairly good reviews, the bottle is beautiful with the snake, and I had been lucky with animal scents such as the Elephant, Panthere or Dragon (Baiser) before.
I expected a creamy tropical mango-tiare scent. What I got was a terribly sickly sweet cloying cloud. My nose can identify nothing but the generic sweetness. This was one spritz upon receiving it. This was the only time in my life I got the urge to scrub, but I resisted and the next morning applied it more liberally, hoping that something actually meaningful, perhaps even enjoyable, would unfold from this. With more sprays the mango at least appears, but very weakly.
This fragrance seems to work on two different levels: there is the big sickly sweet sillage with nothing identifiable in it, present since the second of spraying, so for me the alcoholic boozy quality is the more enjoyable part of the opening. No creamy flowers, no mango, nothing balsamic, not a trace of any pepper, just overwhelming fruity sweetness.
When pushing my nose closer to my skin, there appears the hidden level, and I feel a beautiful aroma, but the sweetness is so strong that this subtle and pleasant part is almost undetectable. The drydown would be nice if it lasted.
Overall I would give the opening away and keep the drydown. However this could be very nice layered with Ambre Sultan or Shalimar (these two just came to my mind as suitable without any specific reason), I’ll have to try to see whether those can cancel out the unbearable sweetness. But I don’t want to ruin any of these.
After it’s gone from my skin, my hair captures a trace of the wonderful mango, I wish the whole lifecycle of the perfume was like this part.
Update: Layering is the way to make this work. It layers well with a coconut or some of the Cubas I blind bought for very cheap only to find out I hate them (I love Gold but Green is nausea in a bottle for me, and Red is not much better, but layered together with this they are doable).

Definitely not one of my favourites.Just an “ok” floriental, rather strong ,heady, with a decent staying power, but unfortunately ,on my skin,my beloved and sought after tiare and frangipani notes are strangled, oppressed and muted by the rather masculine artemisia and violet leaf notes. The opening is way better than the middle and base, which ,on me,is totally dominated by amber. Beautiful bottle, but that is not enough. I’m afraid it’s a no for me. I am sorry…

Serpentine is classy and sexy at the same time! I like it, there is a tropical feel to it. It is warm yet floral. From the opening, I smell the bright citrus, white flower, the green from the violet leaf. I enjoy the pepper in this, then I smell something sweet from the mango blossom and then I smelt the wood- sandalwood and/or the tolu balsam (I am not able to tell which) as well as the amber note. The longevity is good, but I think that the sillage is very soft.

A typical French scent. Very luxury and very Cavalier style 🙂 Really heavy and yet, somehow really luxury fragrance

Finally a floral sent I can stand to use on myself. Just balanced and with a base that makes it interesting and mature. For moments I want to feel feminine. A new summer signature perhaps?!

This might be my signature scent. Out of jimmy choo, all the rihanna perfumes, the leather Alien, halle berry,… and believe me those are all very good perfumes. I get more compliments on this perfume more than any other.I dont like to smell like other people. and this perfume gives me my own smell. This perfume is perfect for everyday of the year. winter to fall. its a gorgeous original scent. this adult fruity, floral smell, like Gold Silk. when i wear this i have women walk up to me saying i smell so good!! im glad i bought it when i did.
Update. This isn’t my signature scent but its a lovely smell for all ages. It really takes you to a nice place.
