Truly divine earthy rose with beautiful resins and wood, and gentle spices. Gorgeous!!! Absolutely marvellous!!! So sensual, deep and mysterious. I adore it!!! Fantastic sillage and longevity – all day, lots of (more than for most of my perfumes in fact!!!) compliments!!! Especially from my darling beloved husband, who can’t keep his nose off me when I wear it!!!! He’s always breathing deeply, and saying mmmmmm…..god you’re gorgeous!!!
    And the bottle is SUBLIME!!!!

When I unpacked this bottle, I was captivated by its beauty, the pictures on the web don´t seem to be able to catch and portray properly. The heavy glass and metal flask is truly an eyecatcher on every shelf.
When I then sprayed it on my arm, I was pleased by the aroma of a real rose, that was bedded on freshly dug over soil. The rose accord felt so natural and deep that I immediately thought Rasasi must have used real rose oil for this formula. The soil tincture, that I experienced for the first time in a perfume, smelled what it should smell like, wet soil, which was stunning, because I was unsure at first, how a chemical would achieve this aroma. All the other notes were far in the background or did not exist for me. The earthy aspect almost disappeared completely during drydown (which was a pitty, as i liked this feeling of fragrant rose petals on fresh and wet dark soil).
I decided that this should be my perfume of the day, and applied it after the shower on my wists, both sides of my neck and on my shirt. When I went out to the tram I was unsure if this would have been too much as it´s a) an uncommon perfume for a male in my country and b) I didn´t know how it would project. Well, when I sat inside the tram at least noone stood up and fled. But maybe it was hard on the edge of overapplying (I was a bit more cautious on the trigger after that day). Sillage is actually huge at first, but steps back a bit after a few hours (which means it is still on the moderate to heavy side).
This first trial was on a very warm day.
I have worn it since then, but the smell was somewhat different to me than on my first wearing. the natural appearing rose felt more like a rose and floral mix, the soil tincture isn´t all to present and there is a slightly sweet balmy note that even reminds me on honey (real honey, no honey aroma molecules). The other days I´ve worn it have been cooler in temperature. Maybe this effects the smell of this perfume. In this case I´d call it a summer scent far more than a winter scent.
Because to me, what I smelled first was the closest to the dark rose (I was looking for) that I have experienced so far. And I want to smell it like on that first day again.
I will update when I have worn it on warmer weather again.
To come to an end, this unexpensive beauty was a blind buy, and I got a piece of art for the eye as well as lovely fragrance for my nose, and if this first impression will come back with warmer weather, I´d even call this a hidden gem! The whole package of eye and nose art cost me 25€. You can´t ask for much more 😉

Simply wonderful. A masterpiece of design art and perfumery. Before I tried it, I didn’t believe it could really exist. Definitely Rasasi designers do amazing job!

Absolutely fantastic. Rose, oud and bit of spicy. Arabians do it better. ;o)

EDIT– Drydown is WAY different than AQR. Very masculine. For me, I think I need to layer it with amber or vanilla, something to sweeten it up a bit. Just not noticing the rose much at all.

Similar to Montale Aoud Queen Roses, with a woodier and more masculine drydown. The earthy note is also quite prominent. For a third of the price, I can live with the differences. What I love about AQR is also here.
