I just acquired this at a thrift shop, and honestly it puts most modern aquatics to shame. It has a nice musky and woodsy base, refreshing salty and fresh opening. It feels to me like some notes are missing on the list here. In the beginning I get a very slight fruity note, something that adds a touch of sweetness & balance here, maybe a tart green apple or melon? It’s not overloaded with Calones, the “aquatic” note here is more of a salty one to add freshness. In this aspect it’s a bit similar to another summer favorite of mine, St Barts for her. But no lime here or tequila. I like the warmth, which must be the “solar” note, which honestly I’m not sure what a “solar note” comprises, but it does indeed smell sunny and warm, like sunshine hitting a sandalwood screen. There is a gorgeous soft, slightly sexy musk here in the base, and when added with a salty, beachy, “I’ve been in the sun all day” trifecta sends it into subtly sensual territory for me. I wanna douse myself in this wearing my bathing suit, lace dress & sun hat! If you can find this cheap juice, grab it & spray with abandon! It’s a great summer scent, and the price makes it even more enjoyable!
