I tried Santal’s Kiss after being kind of underwhelmed by Santal 33, which I thought was kind of a boring, straightforward sandalwood scent (but great if you just want to smell like sandalwood). Santal’s Kiss seemed to have a little more complexity, and it definitely does, but I’m just not sure that I like the cardamom/sandalwood combination. Because you can definitely smell the cardamom. If you’re interested in sandalwood-heavy fragrances, it’s definitely one to sample, but I don’t think it’s one that I’ll be buying more of. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it. Sillage and longevity are very good though, and to be honest, I like it a lot better after 8 hours when it’s not quite as intense but I’m still getting whiffs. Though I guess if it was this subtle and soft to begin with it probably wouldn’t have lasted more than a couple of hours.
