Nice creamy sandal with basmati and a light sweet and dusty trail of iris and patch.
Not a complex but chic and wearable fragrance for both sexes.
I guess the reference to Sacred Wood is given by the sweet and somewhat drunk tone typical of Killian’s fragrances. I have this atmosphere especially at the beginning.
Personally I find it really nice and although staying close to the skin and the same until the end does not remain bored!
Needless to say that my wallet would have liked a 50ml format and therefore more accessible.
Anyway … i like it.

Basmati is not rare. The scent is similar to Sacred Wood but not as good as that one.

Warm and enveloping, Santal Basmati is a sumptuously avant-garde gourmand of exceptional quality and character.
The opening is very à la Serge Lutens Santal Majuscule with plumes of creamy sandalwood before basmati lends its familiar and moreish charm, together the santal and basmati make for a soft milky accord. Adding to the creaminess of the composition, patchouli presents itself gently somewhere in the middle while iris brings a cool dustiness that marries so well with the Cashmeran as it carries through to the soft hazy, almost suede like, dry down.
Perfectly unisex, longevity is moderate at 6 hours with moderate-soft sillage.

The very top spray reminded me allot of “Santal Majuscule” by Serge Lutens with that basmati rice note, (mostly a steam basmati rice) with a delicate leather note (the other type of Naomi goodsir Cuir Velours leather).
It is a good fragrance but sometimes the Basmati rice note could be kind of irritating, besides it’s too expensive price (300 Euros) as i personally see it is quite over priced so i hope they reconsider their prices as i would consider buying this if it were 120 Euros.

Beautiful santal at the opening with a hint of basmati. Love the top and heart notes phases but something in the base reminds me of mechanic oil. I think its the cashmeran a note which plays so well in Donna Karan’s Black Cashmere but here smells rough and unrefined.
That industrial oil smell is only on my wool sweater. On my skin the scent just fades all too quickly.
