I had a major cherry blossom moment this year and bought both this and the Jo Malone Sakura Cherry Blossom. This has way too much sweet fruit for me, a lot of black cherry and warm notes. Like a really purple black cherry yoghurt or something from the Body Shop in the 90s. Jo version has that (slightly plastic?) high-top note rendition of cherry blossom that feels more authentic and much fresher and more youthful to me.

Christian Dior Paris – Sakura (Maison Christian Dior)
The stillness of a Zen garden.
Cherry blossoms, a slight touch of rose, and an array of wildflowers melded together revealing a scent so serene and pristine.
Of all the light florals presented to me at the Maison Christian Dior boutique, this one truly enthralled me. A sublime moment when you find beauty in subtlety.

Watercolor lilac and rose, it’s a very serene and peaceful fragrance. Like meditating in a zen garden with cherry blossom trees.
After several wearings I noticed a mimosa note in the drydown that is very close to Diptyque’s Mimosa candle. So lovely.

EDP version of “Forever and ever Dior”.
But more rose and almond vibe in here.
Very feminine, not overpowering, it’s subtle and transparent. Truly a masterpiece in New MCD line.

Bought to be my wedding scent. It’s gentle, natural, feminine, and romantic without being shouty about it. Relaxed and relaxing. The olfactory equivalent of a watercolor painting of a cherry tree in bloom.

Sakura really lives up to its adorable baby pink hue.
I don’t know how cherry blossoms smell like, but whatever that Sakura suggests, I could believe it truthfully. It smells delicate, lovely, clean and joyous.
Sakura also smells very similar to one of Johnson’s baby soaps that I once used when I was small – either the white, or blue, or pink one.
Projection and longevity are mild and about 6-7 hours.
