This is a very delicate fragrance with an innocent vibe to it. Innocent because of its sweetness and lack of heavy notes, and low to moderate projection.
Imagine a slice of strawberry cheesecake, heavy on the cream cheese but light on the strawberry sauce. The cream cheese is fluffy and airy. No one would smell this cream cheese dessert unless they are getting ready to take a bite out of it. (Not in the way a batch of chocolate chip cookies which would fill a room with an aroma).
This is extremely long lasting (8 hours+) and it lingers on clothing, so this is perfect for occasions when you’d like to smell nice but don’t want to attract attention because of your scent.

14 people think this smells like ylang in gold. Does anyone know if that’s for the pink-EDT. Blue-EDP. Or yellow-parfum? Or all of them?
Aren’t there usually separate pages on fragrantica for each type??

OMG, when I dotted it on my wrist, I was blasted by an intense creamy scent. It radiated like crazy and surrounded me in a sweet fragrance and lasted half a day. I couldn’t pick the floral note here. Although it may be overwhelming at first, it softened to a lovely woody scent after a while. In winter, when I wear a scarf to hidden the scent a bit more, I would definitely love it.

This is for the Hanae Butterfly (blue butterflies on box)
    Strawberry Milkshake doll head? Yes
I like it. My daughter wears it, and she’s a young teen. I think it suits a girl her age, but I don’t hesitate to borrow it on occasion.
Sillage and longevity are impressive, imo. I rarely say that. When my daughter wears it to school, she is still in a cloud of it, when I get home at the end of the day. No joke. If you like sweet and creamy fragrances, and are looking for something that will stay with you all day….give this one a try.

EDT- Very soft and powdery strawberry candy smell. It has a plastic girly girl vibe to it that really is the allure of this fragrance for me. The perfect scent for a spring day being all girly in a garden or something like that. I really like how there is a freshness to this powdery scent that keeps it well FRESH, and not stagnant. The dry down remains powdery and the sweet accords are still present 4 hours later, although they are now a skin scent.

I adore strawberry scents! This one is a beautiful creamy strawberry scent with just a hint of vanilla. It’s more mature than your average strawberry scent. I can see why some mention the plastic doll head note but I still love this one.

I blind bought this because I found it for cheap online and saw it had such great reviews on here. When I received it, I strongly disliked the smell. I expected it to smell fruity which it did not in the slightest to me (at least on my skin). I am 22 and would advise others around my age not to buy this without testing it first. It is an extremely mature scent in my opinion.

This smells like a fresh summer beverage to me, but not a fizzy one, no, a creamy round delicious one. I can’t stop smelling my wrist and my clothes, I love this smells so much that it makes me want to jump in my car right now and go get a strawberry / vanilla milkshake.
I got one of the older bottle with a little pink butterfly sticker on it, so the EDT, I don’t get too much sandalwood from it (which is a shame because it’s one of my very favorite smell) but just enough to balance the sweetness and give it enough depth to avoid smelling like a little child.
Overall it’s a very cozy seductive and feminine scent to me, definitely something that men would enjoy smelling on a woman in my opinion.

This is one of those fruity fragrances that is fun and sophisticated at the same time. The initial spray can be quite rough, I have heard some say it can be hairspray/windex-ish. However, once that fades the berries reveal themselves but they are in no way goopy or covered in sugar. I think the ylang ylang, sandalwood and almond tree are really special here, almost giving off a banana peel kind of scent. The perfume is quite linear and ends off with how it smelled once the alcohol went away. I have the EDT in the original packaging so i’m not sure if it is more complex in the EDP or Parfum. Even though i find it to be very soft and pretty the lasting power for just being a EDT is quite good (about 5-6 hours). Overall, a very respectable fruity woody gourmand that can still run circles around the fruity scents coming out today . I can’t wait to try the EDP.

My understanding is that this is the same fragrance as Hanae Mori Butterfly. The notes seem to be the same.

There are so many reviews of this but I had to chime in and confirm some of these opinions. I was very skeptical this would smell as described (because let’s face it, those amazing cheapies you all rave about never work out for me!)
While reading previous reviews I was very skeptical of the plastic doll head comparisons, but, wow, it really does dry down as a soft, strawberry, fresh plastic doll head! This aggravated me a little bit, because though I do desire this fragrance, can I fit it into my wardrobe? Is there a time / place when I want to smell of plastic doll heads?
The opening was not great, very alcohol-ish and sharp. The initial blast was fruity, and then, again, as another reviewer pointed out it smelled of Aquolina’s Gold Sugar at the mid, and they are totally BANG ON! It really smells similar to Gold Sugar but a bit softer.
The dry down is soft and yes like Vanilla Fields, but a softer, sweetened version. I don’t see how it compares to Casmir though my reference to that scent is an original sample vial I came across in a Caboodles from the 90’s, and not the current mix.
I do want to retest this, and I do think I would enjoy a soft, sweet, strawberry vanilla, but I am not ready to buy it yet! $29.99 at a local Rexall Drugs, (in Canada). Will think on it some more!

This is the perfect representation of “plastic doll head’s” a creamy strawberry dolly like those scented strawberry shortcake dolls from when I was 5. If you love creamy/powdery and want something soft and comforting/nostalgic with a light sweet fruityness I couldn’t think of a better scent. This is worth buying just for the nostalgia factor. There is no similarity to Vanilla Fields for me, It’s like comparing a Chanel to an Axe Body Spray. Please Fragrantica, consider adding separate entries for the EDT and EDP! Update: this turned out to be a real wrist sniffer the slightly masculine woodsy drydown is amazing. I just adore it so much I purchased a vintage bottle of the EDP. I really don’t know what formulation my sample was so I’m very excited to compare the two!

Strawberry milkshake in a plastic cup.
Hanae Mori EDT is a creamy, woody strawberry fragrance. I personally also get a very prominent plastic note, which I can best describe as the smell of barbie dolls. This ruins the fragrance for me, sadly.
If I ignore the barbie doll aspect, I get a perfume that is mostly creamy sandalwood, combined with sweet strawberry and vanilla. The Ylang-Ylang makes the fragrance somewhat sensual, and the woods give the scent some depth.
Sillage is moderate, longevity is about 6 hours.

I wondered about this fragrance for a long time but was never able to test it. So I ended up blind buying a full bottle of the EDT version. I am not disappointed and like it a lot. It’s very sweet, creamy, fruity, and woody. I read the strawberry-rose-almond combination is what gives this fragrance its vanilla tone and there is no vanilla in it at all. I found that very interesting. I think this is too sweet for summer but I’ll enjoy wearing it this winter. Very nice!

I love this fragrance. We bought my first bottle of Hanae Mori edp on our honeymoon in ’02. The sales lady asked me what my favorite scents were and after I told her I wore cashmir by chopard it was game over. They smell so similar to one another. HM for me is heavy sweet vanilla, strawberry and almonds. It’s perfect for the colder months. Longevity is very good and the silage is heavy for the first hour then I’d say its mild. My husband loves it once it dress down. I love to open my closet door and still be able to smell it on my clothes.

I’m surprised that there’s no vanilla note in there because I definitely get thick vanilla with strawberries.
This fragrance has huge sillage and blows up like a cloud from the smallest drop!
I think a younger audience would like this, those who enjoy gourmands like Pink Sugar or Flowerbomb.

It’s a little like I spilled a bunch of sugary milk on my arm. It’s so very sweet. I like my fragrances sweet, but tempered with something else to anchor it and keep it from being cloying. I may use this in layering for fragrances that don’t have enough sweetness. Smells a bit better on my shirt than my arm as the fabric allows some of the fruitiness to remain while on my skin there is no fruit at all…just sugar and cream. My kids like it which is unsurprising as they like anything covered in sugar. LOL

One of my all time favorites; it’s so charming! Ethereal, sweet (but no vanilla) and delicate. The sandalwood grounds the berries and lends some sophistication. Very long lasting with good projection, but not overwhelming. It is, indeed, like a butterfly floating around you and spreading happiness all day. I buy the EDP or the pure parfum.
This is what I imagine faeries in an enchanted woodland would wear.

The opening is very sharp and strong, almost overpowering to the point i was sure i was’nt going to like… but surprise! When the first notes disappear they give place to a succulent sweet and creamy scent! Very beautyfull strawberry note that makes me think of the Campino candys! Excellent !!

I got a decant of this in a swap, and I didn’t really know anything about the Hanae Mori brand or this scent, except that the notes pyramid looked really enticing to me. On my first few tries I was disappointed by the opening: on me it’s incredibly soapy and rather sharp, not fruity at all. Now that I’ve worn it more often I find I don’t mind it anymore, but it’s still not my favourite. It takes a while for the strawberry note to come out, but when it does, it really redeems the fragrance in my eyes: it’s a little synthetic, but very nice, a little creamy and not too sweet. I can’t explicitly discern any of the other notes, but I think the sandalwood goes a long way in softening the strawberry. The drydown is more of the same, but quickly weakening after the highlight of the early heart, until it disappears completely after only a couple of hours.
Like others have said, this is quite a feminine, cosy scent, and certainly a must-try for those interested in strawberry as a perfume note. I myself am on the fence about it: I do really like that lovely strawberry in the heart, but not enough to look past the so-so opening and mediocre longevity. I’ll definitely keep my decant around, but if I ever finish it I don’t think I’ll regret it enough to get more.

To the below comment I got mine two days ago from allbeauty used to be cheap smells tbh it is really really weak so I don’t know if it’s off as the reviews all say how strong it is :/ gone in 10mijns weird 🙁
Edit : okay I was wrong this is beautiful it’s fruity creamy warm and musky it’s light to me almost soft smelling but it’s so cosy and sweet ! I can really smell the strawberry it reminds me the smell of strawberry cheesecake lol very cream soft and girly without being childish will always have a bottle in my collection , oh and the lasting power I think it’s good don’t know how I wasn’t smelling it in my above comment :/ but I get about 3-5 house not bad at all love it

Was this discontinued? I am having a hard time finding it and it’s not on Sephora.com anymore or Nordstrom.com, plus the Hanae Mori website doesn’t have it and when I try to click contact us, I get a website warning that it’s an unsecured link so I’m scared to contact anyone on that site. Anyone hear? I’ll be gutted if it’s gone. 🙁

Just received a bottle of the EDP version of this and I love it! It had a really familiar scent, and when someone mentioned Vanilla Fields earlier, it clicked…this smells very similar to Vanilla Fields! I know this because it’s pretty much all I wore my sophmore year of high school. While I find the scent to be sweet, comforting, and super femine, my husband remarked that it smelled “masculine”. I was surprised because it is so syrupy sweet, but maybe it’s the sandalwood that’s giving him that impression? I guess I’ll just have to wear it when he’s not around 😛
Edit: I woke up this morning and my first thought was “wow…what is that incredible smell?”. It was me! The longer it’s on me, the more beautiful it develops. Love it!

Accidentally posted as a guest 😉
My review is for the EDT. When I first caught a whiff of Hanae Mori all I could think is how shockingly sweet it is. The fruits are artificial like raspberry chew candy and they are enveloped by sweet buttery sugar cookies. Very gourmand and very girly. However Hanae Mori seems unique among the multitude of gourmands that flooded the market during the last years. It definitely is a 90’s creation though very relevant today. After my first shock I decided that Hanae Mori is just too much for me to wear. But then for some odd reason I craved that smell and I wanted to stick my nose close to the nozzle and inhale ;). I still haven’t worn it but I enjoy spraying it on my sheets since it fills my room with the scent of freshly baked cookies. Very conflicting and addictive.

WOW. The EDP smells, for lack of a better word, nasty on me. Extremely soapy and spiky and sharp like pepper. I was expecting to be hit with delicious notes of strawberries and vanilla. Alas, what a big disappointing blind buy. Sigh…

This is one of my favorite fragrances of all time. I found it at TJ Maxx and bought all the bottles. It’s the only fragrance for me that actually smells like vanilla without smelling cheap or being ruined by other notes. I don’t know why vanilla isn’t one of the main notes listed but nevertheless this is a timeless awesome fragrance.

  31. :

This fragrance is a sweet comfort. I wore it all the time in my early 20s (I’m 30 now) and have recently rediscovered its delights as I found it at a bargain at TJ Maxx recently. I purchased it for nostalgia alone but found that I’ve really missed wearing it, it is just so charming and bright of a scent.
This perfume brings to mind maraschino cherries and vanilla angelfood cake…fluffy, airy, but boozy and fruity too. I prefer the EDT; it is plenty strong! EDT projects like a beast and lasts all day. My experience with the EDP is that note-wise it was heavier, more floral–still enjoyable but different, as many people have noted they may as well be completely different fragrances.

Sadly this is now impossible to find, I think it was discontinued. It used to be a delicious strawberry/almond/sandalwood fest that smelled a lot like vanilla, but I think it was reformulated because the last bottle I purchased was a straight ylang-ylang bomb. 🙁
Update: Ordered a bottle of the EDT (which smells better as everyone says) off Amazon, which I was scared to do because most stuff on there in my experience is either fake or turned a long time ago, but this is beautiful as I remember. An innocent fragrance for daytime with one foot in the fruity-floral department and one foot in gourmand.

I have so many good things to say about this perfume. It’s so soft and sweet and very berry-licious and creamy. I love everything there is to love about it. Okay, that’s a lie. There is one TINY thing that I didn’t like about it. That was the alcohol-heavy opening spritz. I was quite overwhelmed at first at how alcoholic (as in rubbing alcohol, not booze) it was. Thankfully, after just a minute or so it all evaporated and then the real goodness started happening on my skin. I love berries. I love red berry mix, berry juices, berry lipstick tints…anything berry-related really. This made me smell like a mixed berry soufflé. I wore it for the first time today and have been getting compliments all day long! I really love this and can’t wait to wear it again!

    WOW is this one gorgeous!!!
It’s so complex but delicate, fruity-floral-woody-spicy gorgeousness in a bottle.
The sample that I fell in love with is Hanae Mori Magical Moon and I purchased a 3.4 EDP of THIS one but am now so very glad that I did.
Hanae Mori Hanae Mori EDP is exquisite, divine, heavenly, beautiful, absolutely to DIE for (and, as an asthmatic, that’s a genuine possibility for me. Damn the torpedoes, life is short).
Actually, this fragrance doesn’t trigger (my) asthma at all. No, Hanae Mori Hanae Mori exudes beauty and makes me feel AMAZING.
An instant love, overall 9/10 in every regard. Money definitely well spent, this is an instant strong LOVE and I’m confident, a permanent, favorite in my collection.

Sweet creamy, girlish, and lasts forever. I mainly get a sweet cream with ylang and a hint of strawberry so the listed notes don’t give an accurate image but it really is well blended and quality stuff.

This is Vanilla Fields by Coty 100% on my skin. Too sharp gave it to a friend. Don’t hate it but it hits me wrong on my skin turns so sharp that it made we want to scrub it.

This is beautiful. Its not a run of the mill gourmand. Its creamy & floral. I cant pin point what im smelling, its really seems like vanilla should be in the notes. It all comes together for a creamy beautiful scent.
Edit: I see now what people are saying about these reviews being mixed between EDT and EDP. This review is for the EDT in the Pink butterfly box.

This is for Blue EDP blind buy.
I wish I’d read between the lines of Katie Puckrik review on youtube and paid more attention to the fact that the word “plastic” is used 23 times to describe this scent here on Fragrantica.
    Now it’s 24 times.

I couldn’t agree more with those who are saying that this is a mix of reviews between the EDP (Hanae Mori Blue Butterflies as I call it) and the EDT (Hanae Mori Pink Butterflies as I named it) and let me just say that they are different! I stumbled across Hanae Mori Blue Butterflies at Macy’s and fell so in love with it that I begged my mom to buy it for me and I would pay her back (I was a teenager without a job, but I was obsessed with that perfume!). Well, she bought it and I was so let down when I tried it on, trying to figure out what was happening, where is the scent of creamy strawberries and sweet toffee I so obsessed over? Why was it smelling so much like a lame strawberry scented cedar chest and there was some sharp almost ‘pissy’ sour smelling note lurking there, too? This was not my precious Hanae Mori from the mall! I told her she must have bought an imposter, but she said it came from Macy’s so I called them up to find out what was happening. I was told that the EDP was put out as a tester, but they were currently out of EDP so were selling the EDT version. They stopped short of admitting they were being underhanded by not telling people there was a difference between the tester and what was available, but I was livid. I kept it for sentimental (and SCENTimental LOL) reasons since my mom had never bought me perfume before, but now I know to ask if testers are of EDPs or EDTs because sometimes they do make a difference. Please try this in the EDP version if the EDT is not to your liking and I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the difference between the two.

Received a sample, had no expectations of notes or reviews. This is for the pink EDT. Instantly thought of Angel-uh oh, this is going to be one of those LOUD sweet herbal patchouli scents that never work for me. Then I looked at the notes – to my surprise, there isn’t patchouli in here? What is that note that reminds me of soil in a bowl sweetened with sugar and sap. It dominates every other note, all of the berries are missing, except for maybe the sandalwood. I sprayed this on my wrist and asked dear husband what he thought. He’s a novice but I like this because he has no pretensions. “Is this a men’s cologne?” he asked, “because I could wear this.” I can see his point. It’s also got epic sillage that’s contagious. If you just touch where someone sprayed, you’re carrying the scent with you too.

I found Hanae Mori ( pink) at a very low price, so I blind bought it. It’s sweet, but not sickly sweet, it’s soft, sweet and powdery…I dislike powder notes in perfumes! But this is pleasant. I still feel its to powdery for my taste… IMO it suits my toddler daughter better, she is very into everything mommy does and uses and is very feminine, so I am teaching her to use a little bit of perfume when we both are getting ready to go out. She loves it, and it smells absolutly gorgeous on her, suits her age so well, goes with her inocent, charming, sweet and calm personality, sweet, soft, and angelic just like her. I feel this can be used by any age. But I love it especially on my daughter

Unfortunately the reviews here are a jumble of pink (EDT), blue (EDP) and a few reds (Parfum) because Fragrantica didn’t make a separate page for each. Same with HM and HiM, they have EDP and EDT versions each but both lumped into one page. I guess because all the notes are the same?
Try finding your browser’s search function (the magnifying glass) and put “pink” or “EDT” or whatever and it will be easier to find the reviews you are looking for. But a lot of people don’t label which one they’re talking about so there’s that too…

A fruity, woody, geisha-fairy-princess-like floral that takes you straight to an enchanted Japanese cherry blossom filled garden, yet it is lady-like, not child-like. I’ve never smelled another perfume like it.

The EDT version is glorious. Gourmand sweet and fluffy but the sandalwood gives it a more grown up/mysterious vibe. Great sillage in the heat, nor is it too cloying. Lasts a long time, but gets closer to the skin after a few hours.
The EDP is the same scent at drydown, BUT the opening of the fragrance is kind of gross for the first hour. It has this lemony metallic tanginess that sticks in the back of your throat. I recommend going with the EDT instead.

So strong. Was looking more for the strawberries & cream, & am disappointed that it is like a slightly-less-orangey version of Gold Sugar that I just gave away because I didn’t like it. Will be layering this with another scent so I can like it. Bummer. (EDP Blue Butterfly)
Edit: No, not for me. Sharp sandalwood, not a good match for me. Will be giving this away. Too bad. I wanted it for so long based on the notes & reviews.

Holy Cow! Hanae Mori Butterfly EDP (Blue Butterfly) is a sillage and longevity powerhouse. On my skin, the berry compote top notes mingled beautifully with juicy litchi, followed by Madagascar vanilla. Sandalwood, cedar and buttery almond are subtle in the drydown. This delicious confection is a potent vanilla sugar bomb! HM Butterfly is reminiscent of the almond croissants filled with pastry cream found in French patisseries! Five Stars for this fruity gourmand fragrance! After 7 hours of wear–it’s still going strong!

Happiness in a bottle! It’s like being in an enchanted summer garden, eating berries and smelling flowers. The sandalwood in the drydown is just gorgeous. It’s sweet, but does not have any vanilla, so it stays light and airy. Big love for this one – I hope they never discontinue!

I find this to be a fresh oriental woody floral. I can smell the fresh berries in it. Not synthetic at all. With a slight sandalwood finish. You also get a soft woody note in there as well, with a touch of rose and peony. I find it to be quite refreshing. It does go on strong at first, but then dries down so beautifully. My husband and I were sitting on the couch and he was getting closer and closer to me…believe me, that says alot! He is not one for perfume..lol. This one is a definite keeper 🙂

    EDT version:
I had this and just could not handle it. Eventually I had to give up trying before I could even get through half of the bottle’s contents. I know that this fragrance has a very large fanbase, and the notes to me sounded like they’d be divine, not that I have a lot of knowledge concerning them, but strawberry mixed with woods sounded like it’d be wonderful. However when I smell this I am assaulted with a strong powder smell that is saturated in sugar. I wish my nose could interpret this scent as beautifully as others seem to. I am beginning to realize that scent is subjective, and no two people will have the same reactions to smells, and I think that’s beautiful. I do not mean any offense to those who love this smell, as a matter of fact, more power to ya. I’ve tried this on many different occasions, in all different seasons, and I just cannot enjoy this, something in it makes me almost queasy, maybe it’s too sweet, maybe there’s a note in it that I just do not like, I’d be interested to find out, but now I’ve reached a point where I can hardly bear to take the frosted cap off to smell this fragrance, so I think it’s time to part with it and chalk it up to having unique personal preferences that do not need to conform to enjoy any fragrances, no matter their popularity.
I will give this fragrance props for longevity. The toilette lasts better than most parfums I’ve worn, and the bottle design is very classy, I wish I could empty the bottle and fill it with something else that I enjoy. Other perfume designers should take note of this one, it’s quality should be the standard. And it’s affordable to boot!

    I LOVE IT.
This is one of not many cases when both my nose and brain 100% agree with the suggested pyramid (left side).
Black berries, especially black currant. If you like that “sensual black currant and vanilla” bath foam from “Bath and Body Works” – this scent will be a hit for you.
Of course it is more complex than the above bath foam, its a fragrance at the end of the day. And less vanilla (which I find way too primitive when it comes to fragrances).
The second row of the pyramid evaporated quickly (my skin doesn’t go well with florals).
And then woody notes kick in.
    For me personally it’s a “pick-me-up” scent.

  55. :

    Sweet berry based fragrance!
I love the bottle but with it’s look I was expecting something more complex, perhaps a mature white floral fragrance but it’s not. It’s far from it. This is a delicious feminine fruity berry super sugary girly girl scent. It’s day wear material, spring and summer fashion material, cute, flirty, and not unlike a Victoria Secret body mist or a Bath & Body Works fragrance. Sweet and innocent, inoffensive, and really nice.
The problem lies in spraying on too much like if you had a fire extinguisher. This is cloying almost too saccharine like berry sugar pink sugar being scattered like confetti. The smallest application is a sweet strawberry mixed with blackberry. There’s a pink peony and rose which has a certain powdery texture and a jasmine/ylang combo which smells a bit like shampoo. Very nice. All of these are good smells: strawberry, blueberry, whatever. I love it.
Dry down is woodsy but light. I detect the lightest sandalwood I’ve ever encountered. Of course it’s artificial and only in a small dose. I get more of an almond (listed as almond tree) and some cedar wood which gives the airy berries and florals some good support. This is nothing mind blowing or statement stuff. Just sweet pretty scents I like.
I receive tons of compliment on it. Wearing it this weekend.

    Review for the EDT:
A strawberry-almond-sandalwood treat. 🙂 One of the better gourmands out there. I’ve been wanting this for so long based on the great reviews I’ve read on it, and I can most certainly say it does live up to the hype.
It starts off smelling very strongly of berries, particularly strawberry, but not quite a fresh picked strawberry, more like those strawberry hard candies in that foil packaging (anyone know what I’m talking about?) mixed with an almond cake-type scent, as well as a hint of jasmine. Then as it dries down, I get more of a sandalwood vibe and surprisingly, a bit of vanilla (even though vanilla isn’t listed in the notes- perhaps it is coming from the almond). Sillage is soft- it turns into a skinscent quickly- but the longevity is good. Smells great on clothes and I can definitely see it as being a good all-year round gourmand, as it isn’t heavy.

Although I normally love gourmand scents, this is very overwhelming and I had to give it away. The sweet smell was sickly and gave me a headache even with a small spray. I can’t even identify notes in this, it’s just an overpowering sugary smell

I’d like to say that I wish the scent came across as described in the notes. I don’t get one ounce of anything they say should be present. I dislike this scent. I don’t even call it a gourmand. It reminds me more of an alcoholic beverage on the beach, and the person drinking it is covered in suntan lotion. It’s tropical to me. Not a fan, gave this one away.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect “synthetic strawberry candy” fragrance for a while now. I want it to smell a bit like Extra Strawberry chewing gum, or strawberry gummy candies.
I did a bit of lazy research, and did a blind buy on this classic.
No, I did not find my perfect synthetic candy fragrance – BUT I did find a new favorite gourmand!
Obviously there is strawberries – a lot of them, but this smells like SUGAR. Not burnt or caramelized – but like white sugar cubes. And the syrupy strawberries; like marmalade or jam! But the nice base of rich vanilla and sandalwood makes this very sophisticated and actually quite luxurious; which was nothing I had expected at all.
So the search for the guilty pleasure of “too sweet synthetic strawberry” goes on, this clearly isn’t it.

A great sweetie-sweet gourmand for warmer weather! Fruit, fruit, and more fruit (mainly strawberry) backed up by sandalwood. I too get that plastic doll smell in there and it works well to give Hanae Mori an avant-garde vibe. Respectable projection and longevity. One warning: the sprayer is STRONG. It puts out a LOT of perfume, so use caution! Lol.

Hanae mori seems to be a very popular and well-known perfume in other countries but not here.it’s unavailable here so I had to blindbuy it from foreign sites.
I chose edp version(with blue butterflies)just because I thought it would be stronger but when I read in some reviews that edp and edt smell totally different and notes list is about edt and there’s no strawberry in edp I felt worried.now that I have it I see my worries were needless because there IS strawberry in edp too, atleast to my nose
I’ve never really tried chopard casmir but lots of people say that it’s similar to vanilla fields.hanae mori edp is vanilla fields+stra
