Thanks to Lyndale I have sampled this old school vibe beauty. It is a cross between Youth Dew and Kyphi. Green, aromatic, spiced, sweet and resinous (olibanum). I really like it a lot. It smells like raw incense before it is burned, in the same vein as Encens Flamboyant. If I did not have loads of orientals that smell similar, I would hunt a bottle down. Definitely worth a sniff if you can find a sample.

This is a deep, masculine, and very grounding work of art—yes, and it feels “vintage”!
Aside from the animalic notes, it’s spicy, balsamic, and green/herbal: The cinnamon is most prominent, then Peru balsam & castoreum with some labdanum & natural musk; then the mixture of black spruce, galbanum, holy basil, and spikenard; then lastly, frankincense and a brilliant touch of dewy rose!

I’m lost for words trying to describe this, the best I can think of is “Vintage”. It smells like you have just discovered an antique bottle of unknown origin, opened it and the liquid inside is still sooo good! There’s a musky, warm spice, layered over a forest with wild roses blooming and fresh green sap. (Imagine breaking a branch on a rose tree, then smelling that.) JoAnne does roses and forest style scents exceptionally well and this is a great example of that. Each time I sniff it, I find myself falling for it a little bit more. I think this would also be beautiful for guys, I’d love to smell it on my man.
